• nerina (4/5): - Property was not great. But the staff were absolutely fantastic!!! They were most helpful and outstanding. It is not their fault the property is the way it is. It was cleaned to the best possible but fixtures and furniture need major upgrading.

Hotel Vacanza is not a luxury Hotel by European standards, but it's nice and clean, have OK shower facilities, spacy rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is great and very helpful - also in organising safaris, taxi pick ups etc. Breakfast is very good. Location is great - literally 1 minute walk and you are on the central part of Mirissa Beach.

• marco (6/5): - Struttura un po’ datata con una necessità di una profonda ristrutturazione . Personale gentile e disponibile, colazione decorosa ma non eccellente . Comoda alla spiaggia 50 metri. Noi eravamo al terzo piano senza ascensore con le valige era un problema . Comunque stanza molto spaziosa con un grande terrazzo . Per finire buon rapporto qualità prezzo .
• S-Himakara (8/5): A Cosy and Affordable Gem in Mirissa! - We discovered Hotel Vacanza Mirissa through a friend's recommendation, and it turned out to be a great choice for our short stay. It’s a simple yet clean and comfortable spot that ticked all the right boxes for us. The location is ideal, just a 1-minute walk to Mirissa Beach, with only the main road to cross. The area is lively, with plenty of restaurants and beach bars within walking distance, giving us lots of dining options. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful, offering a perfect start to the day. One of the highlights was getting access to the pool at their sister hotel, which was a lovely bonus and made our stay even better. For the price we paid, it was absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, cosy, and comfortable place to stay in Mirissa, I highly recommend Hotel Vacanza Mirissa. It’s simple, but it has everything you need for a pleasant stay.
• Shani (8/5): Mirissa hote - Found last Minute after the hotel I booked didn’t have ac. Room was large as was bathroom. Was offered snorkel equipment and beach towels as well as bottled water and a kettle. Was able to dry wet clothes outside room in a sort of porch. Close to beach and places to eat/drink
• zhelanov (10/5): Good place for a vacation - We found this hotel already on the spot when we lived in Sri Lanka for some time and were looking for new housing. What was important to us: cleanliness of the room, high floor and stable good internet. And all our requests were satisfied (even more). The owner turned out to be very friendly, tried to create the most comfortable living conditions for the guests: they provided us with an additional table and chair for work, and helped us rearrange the furniture to make it more comfortable for us. Another big advantage of the place is its close location to the ocean - you just had to cross the road, and here you are on the shore. The room we found was spacious and clean. A few days later, a couple of lizards started sharing it with us. It is difficult to single out any objective disadvantages - we only had positive impressions from our week-long stay at this hotel
• Bernardine (6/5): - They overbooked and put me in hotel beside called wood lodge next door so what im reviewing is wood lodge. Bed was comfortable, ac and hot shower were nice. = No tv, no fridge, light above did not work and alot of ants (not sure if thats just marissa)....and a dog waa barking all night (but maybe it was just that night). I decided to skip my second night and stayed at Galle. Might of done that regardless...
• Anandi (6/5): - The photos on the website were deceiving …the bathroom was quite old and there were ants everywhere, even though the staff were great and they did come and clean whenever we asked. I think we just got one of the bad rooms as judging from reviews, other people didn’t have an issue. The furniture inside the room is very old and dated but bed was ok comfort and AC worked very well. The staff were really nice but hotel probably needs to be updated. It was fair for the price though

Perfect location 1min walk to the main beach in Mirissa with all the shops, resturants and beach bars nearby but still far enough from the main road traffic noise. Wanderful staff, very friendly and always greeting you with a smile. Good breakfast served to your table, eggs, toast, jam, sausages and tea or coffe. For the price i paid, i couldn’t hope for a better hotel. Will definitely stay here again.

• geirj477 (10/5): Third visit, amazing value for money - We have stayed at Vacanza 3 times. Big , clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Very friendly, service minded people working here. 200 meters to Mirissa beach, and that is perfect, because of loud tecno music evening and night time.
• 525cherylw (10/5): Large rooms - We cut our trip to Ella short as we wanted to get to the beach sooner therefore booked into this hotel as our prebooked accommodation was full. Great size rooms and excellent aircon. As we couldn't check in to our other hotel. Vacanza let us use the pool at their sister hotel and this was just perfect. Really relaxed and they even provided us with pool towels. Cheap hotel and service was good too
• Maksim (8/5): - Немного не совпало с ожиданиями, которые сформировались по отзывам. В целом хорошо и может даже отлично кроме чистоты и внешнего вида номера. При въезде дали приветственные напитки, в номере не было затемняющих штор как числится (окна выходят на сторону где ходят люди, всю ночь мелькают тени и слышны шаги), отсутствовал чайник ,но принесли сразу как только указали на это, есть стол но нет стульев (это наверное постоянная проблема в отелях Шри-Ланки,есть,пить чай не удобно), есть горячая вода и хороший напор, номер просторный ,ванна просто огромная, бесплатный чай /кофе и бутылированная вода, неудобства с временем завтраков (8.30-11.00) и выезд не в полдень как числится, а в 11.00. Часов в 9 вечера мы сообщили им о раннем выезде (в 5.30) - нам без проблем организовали ланч боксы, очень не плохие (номер был с завтраком). В целом рекомендем,так как цена качество соответствует.

• Madhushika_Jinasena (10/5): Large room with a balcony and friendly staff - Hotel vacanza is a very clean hotel and it has very large rooms with balcony. Staff is really friendly so we feel it like a home stay. Breakfast is good tasty. Very close to mirissa beach and near by ATM and Supermarket.

It is so close to the beach and beach bars. You can easily walk to the key sights in Mirissa. Great value for money.

Very service minded. - This hotel was placed in a good location, a little bit off the main road and away from the worst dog barking - about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Management was very nice and service minded. Big and clean rooms, with comfortable beds. We saw monkey families playing around in the forest in the neighboring hotel (Mountain Heaven In), and also a lizard (1 m long). There were some mosquitos, but mostly on the ground floor.
• Dean (8/5): Lovely place, very friendly. - Stayed here a couple days and really don’t have anything to complain about. Stayed an extra night as was just what we needed, chilled. Lovely place with very friendly staff. We had the room on the top floor which had partially views of the beach and sea. The room was very spacious with a big super king and single bed, both 4 posted. The place is not luxurious but it is very nice. Situated 300m from the beach where there are a number of bar & restaurants on the beach. You get a lot for your money and the staff are happy to help with anything you need.

• 1dancing_fool (8/5): ~ The Pros & Cons ~ - Pros: ( We stayed here for 2 nights, and wished we had another here ) Great location. 4 minute walk to the beach but it is located in a very quiet and peaceful setting. Huge room. Really, it is big. Newly constructed ( w/in last few years ). Modern plumbing and electric, windows, and the room we stayed in was fresh, nice, and exceptionally clean. 6 front facing rooms had a huge balcony, very pleasant to spend some time on in the mornings or evenings. Family run, and nice people at that. Good breakfast in a nice, open air ground floor area. Affordably priced. All in all, a great place to stop over and stay for your time in Marissa. • komang2018 (10/5): Excellent value for money - We stayed 3 days in the family room with a large terrace. The room was large and clean with good beds and a nice bathroom. The Hotel is quiet and 5 minutes walk to the beach. Breakfast is very good and he owner is very helpful and everybody very friendly.

The breakfast was really good and you can't beet their location. The rooms were also very spacious and clean.We can definitely reccomend this place!
• myk27 (8/5): Great location - perfect location for walking to mirissa beach, bars and restaurants. room was spacious and clean with comfy bed, mosquito net and good air con and fan. only stayed one night and left early for whale watch so uncertain if the large window without curtain would have let in too much light in morning or not. Slight damp smell to some of the towels. shower had decent pressure and was a good temp. nice welcome drink on arrival and owners happy to store luggage for us while we went whale watching. pool table and darts in foyer. would stay again.

• eileenb789 (8/5): Great on a budget - Nothing fancy, but has everything you need. Family running the hotel are lovely and so helpful. Rooms are spacious and tidy. Very close to the beach. Very cheap so it’s a great hotel to choose if you are on an budget.
• Nicola (8/5): Perfect for mirissa beach - Good clean room and friendly staff. Good location for the beach and only a 5 minute tuk tuk ride for the whale watching. We didnt have the breakfast so can't comment but other people were having it and looked good. The staff kept offering to top up the tea, coffee and toast. The staff were very helpful in orgaising our transport onto Galle. Would stay again if in the area.

• jmadgwickday (8/5): Great location - Visited for two nights. The hotel is a 2 min walk from the beach and is set back from the main road. Our room was huge and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helped arrange our trip to go whale watching at a very good rate. Our view was a swamp but it was fine as we got to see giant 🦎. Really nice hotel, would defo recommend
• Clare Barnes (8/5): Great place, great price! - We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children. The rooms are huge and it was great to spread out! Bathroom is also really lovely and a great size. Shower is enormous! The staff are lovely and the man who runs Hotel always has a smile from ear to ear and more than willing to help at any time. Breakfast is simple but more than enough- eggs with sausage and toast and jam. Fruit juice, coffee/tea. Location is brilliant- only about a 2 minute walk to the beach and a huge selection of places to eat and get a few snacks all around. Easy to get a tuktuk too. The one downfall for us was the smell of our room. I dont know if it was just ours, or all rooms, but ours was very damp and musty smelling. Our clothes all smelt when we left also. If we were staying more than 3 nights, i would have asked for a room change. With all this said - I would still recommend to others and i would stay here again myself also.
• rotishopm (10/5): Very Nice and Tidy Quite Room - Vacanza.. :) Amazing name at Mirissa and do you need to get Holiday happiness, visit Vacanza Mirissa, it has super luxury bed rooms withh all the facilities, wifi are very strong and foods are also delicious. very close to the beach and it was walking distance to by 5mins. You can enjoy very well. we had lots of memories with superb host. highly recommended to all..
• ScenicHighwayRobber (8/5): Very nice and professionally family run hotel - This is a very pleasant place to stay. My room was nice and large. The hotel is quite new. My only complain is that some of the work done on the hotel was not top notch craftmanship. Good materials have been used but not professional high standard carpenters. Just small details really. This seems to be a general problem in Sri Lanka. Other than that everything was great. It is a family run hotel and as such the manager is hard working and takes pride in his work. The staff was also great. Finally the location of the hotel is very practical. Quiet area but only a few minutes walk to the beach. There is a river nearby the hotel and quite a bit of wildlife: monkeys, varans, colorful birds only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Sadly there is a bit of a garbage problem with plastic bags etc in the river so the view towards to the river from the hotel room is not as scenic as it could have been. However it was possible to glimpse the sea from my balcony and the rest of the view is a bit jungle like which is cool. Finally Mirissa is a very nice and relaxing place!

• Fabien (10/5): Spacious, nice view and friendly owner - Stayed at Vacanza for 2 nights. We got the best room, clean, helpful staff and only 5 min walk to the beach. The room/bathroom were really spacious with a fridge available. Unfortunately we came during Festival season so a lot of restaurants were close in surroundings area. Felt like a high standard hotel at an affordable price. Would highly recommend. It's a family business so you also feel better supporting local economy :) It's also just a minute from the Railway station which is perfect if you move down the coast or back to Colombo.
