- GILES (8/5): Grand exterior - fine interior - minimal service. - The check in stated from 12:00 - We arrived @ 13:00 & no one was about after finding the reception the “Owner” appeared looking flustered & unprepared, however we were shown our room handed the keys and told how to operate the entry gate.. then left to our own devices… Breakfast was a simple affair but adequate- I’d return but not stay for longer than a couple of days..

- Frank (4/5): - Chateau Pellison is a very beautiful property, with the most unwelcoming host. Upon arrival on a Monday at 12:15(Orbitz confirmation states you can arrive after 12). The gates were closed so we had to figure out how to get in. Had my husband park at the train station next door, I got out of the car and rang the intercom after a bit a man comes out and opens the gate. I had to return to the train station to let my husband know the gates were open. So on we go,he took our name and got the key took us to our room down some steep steps. After a very brief instructions how the key opens the gate and breakfast time he was never to be seen again till we paid the bill. After reading previous reviews how wonderful and helpful the host was we thought great,wonderful, maybe he would have restaurant suggestions nice places to see in Cognac. NOPE! Lovely pool but was unable to unlock the gates with key fob. With only 5 rooms, seems that they are more oriented towards private outside functions.

- Jill (10/5): - The chateau and grounds were very attractive and I would certainly visit again if I were in the Cognac region. The property is about a 15 minute walk from the main square.
- Lynne (10/5): Charming & beautiful property - The grounds and building are very beautiful, room is spacious, well decorated & comfortable. The weather was very hot so after a day of touring we enjoyed a refreshing swim in the pool. There is very limited front desk service which was fine for us. The breakfast is self service, had a good selection and tasty. The Hotels.com website says check-in in from noon which is incorrect. There is no access to the property before 3 pm & you have to call a number on the front gate to obtain access to the property. That could have been explained better.

- Nick (10/5): Perfect spot - This is a delightful property situated very close to Cognac Railway Station. Its been totally refurbished to a very high standard. No regrets staying here - I only wish my stay could have been longer.
- Romain (8/5): - Le cadre est magnifique, la chambre est très agréable et l'accueil était bon. Le petit déjeuner mériterait d'être un peu plus varié et étant donné le petit nombre de chambres cela doit être compliqué à gérer mais ce serait appréciable.

- C&F (10/5): - Beautiful hotel. We stayed in the Zen Suite it was very comfortable. Lovely bed and waterfall shower. Breakfast was included in price and was fresh and appetising. We had a private courtyard where we sat and enjoyed a bottle of wine in the evening. The hotel has beautiful grounds and I will take some of the ideas home with me. My only issue was with the pool which I found difficult to get into as there where no handrails. I would love to stay here again

- Jay (8/5): Chateau in Cognac - We stayed in a the largest room I've ever stayed in. The primary bedroom was beautiful and huge. Road noise was more prominent in the second bedroom. The parking lot was generous and convenient. The location was on a main road (for Cognac) and a 15 minute walk to "downtown". The breakfast in the morning was nice.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Hidden gem! - Found this delightful Chateaux near the centre of Cognac! Booked the junior suite and had 3 large elegant, rooms including a small kitchen area, and dinning table. Delicious fresh breakfast, and most welcoming and friendly staff. Pretty garden, plus a swimming pool and sauna also on site. Have already recommended it to friends and would definitely stay there again.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful property and right next to the train sta - Upon arrival the building and small garden with fountains were beautiful! Our room was more than spacious and seems as if it had been recently updated, but still had the charm of the old chateau. The walk in shower was very large; although, the towels were very stiff and scratchy. We had only a short walk to Remy Martin from the hotel. The hotel was very secure with a remote gate entry and a code to get into the main door entrance. We stayed on the first floor and all was quiet until morning traffic began,and then it sounded as if we had all the windows open to the street (we didnt). Overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Bordeaux!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Exceptionally beautiful - Our suite was lovely--I would have been glad to stay a week. There were three very minor annoyances: 1. The room we were in was partially below ground and it was necessary to go down stairs to reach it. The staff helped us with our luggage, however. 2. The bathroom light stayed on all night. I would have preferred darkness plus a nightlight. 3. The access to the hotel reception is gravel, so rolling suitcases need to be carried. Overall this are extremely minor negatives. The space is lovely, comfortable and memorable.

- Olympia (6/5): HOTEL PROPRE MAIS EN RODAGE- - Nous sommes arrivés à la réception pour prendre possession de notre chambre. L'accès à ladite chambre se fait par un escalier pentu dont la première marche est de hauteur différente des autres marches, donc dangereuse car, de plus, il n'y a pas de cellule électrique pour qu'on la voit quand on rentre le soir. Par ailleurs, nous avions réservé la suite "design" avec douche ET baignoire et nous n'avons eu que la suite "vintage" (lit en 140)...une remise royale de "15" euros nous a été consentie pour cette erreur. Nous avons envoyé un sms immédiatement au réceptionniste qui était déjà parti (la réception était fermée à 18:00...) et qui n'a pas daigné nous répondre.

- Conny (10/5): Perfecte locatie, sfeervol - Het was fantastisch. Een mooi verbouwd Chateau, terwijl als je aan komt rijden je afvraagt waar kom ik nu terecht. Een grote muur met hek waar je aan moet bellen. Totdat het automatische hek open gaat (waar je je auto veilig kunt parkeren) en je komt in een oase. Vriendelijke ontvangst en uitleg. Een aanrader wanneer je naar de cognac huizen wilt. Deze zijn op loopafstand en het dorp ook. Waar je gezellige restaurantjes hebt om te eten.

- GWENDOLINE (10/5): Hotel cocooning plein de charme - Je ne suis restée que quelques heures puisque j étais de passage pour un mariage mais le personnel à ete aux petits soins pour me laisser la chambre tardivement. Hotel plein de charme situé non loin du centre . Très calme. Bien entretenu. Propre. Rapport qualité prix cohérent. Beaucoup devrais prendre exemple.
