Guest Reviews
- Trevor (7/5): - Room was not clean and not serviced during stay
- Trevor (9/5): Great quality and great location -
- Helen (9/5): Nice vibe stop over - The Roade House has a nice vibe with the yoga classes and cafe. My room was spacious and comfortable with a nice gushy shower. Pub and village shop very close by. Worked well as a stop-over as easy access to main routes. Cafe open early for easy breakfast - with big portions. Only minor thing was that I could hear the person in the room above snoring! Not a lot the hotel could do about that though!! 😂
- Eric (7/5): - room nice, food good. not spoken to by the hosts at any time.
- Miah (10/5): -
- Julia (8/5): - Wonderful granola all day energy boost. Large comfy room, quiet and great for a good night's sleep.
- Liam (8/5): It is a really nice place and other than the hot water situation worth every penny. - The location was in a scenic part of the world, really quaint and the room was lovely! The hot water in the sink took 4.5 minutes to come through when I used the sink late at night. I had to laugh as there was a sign that said the hot water could take up to 2.5 minutes which is why I timed it.
It might be something that the ownership should look into if a multiple of reasons.
- wendy (9/5): - Good location
- Fiona (9/5): - Gorgeous rooms
- dawn (8/5): Great cozy place to stay for the night. - Clean and modern.
Great system with the access code so no hanging around waiting to be let in.
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Helen (10/5): -
- Sean (4/5): - Great location, looks great from the outside Dog hair everywhere, the cleaner obviously just cleans the visible surface of things.
My glasses slid down the side of the sofa cushions, what I found there was totally disgusting.
- Tracy (9/5): - Comfy, complimentary sauna
- Joan (8/5): We would definitely recommend the Roade House - The room met our needs as we were only there for one night. Maxine was lovely and incredibly helpful in providing us with a selection of vegan goodies for a party we were going to. Teddy, her little dog, was very cute and kindly showed us to our room. I would have liked more time to check out the yoga studio and infra red sauna. The room we stayed in overlooked the rear of the property so was lovely and quiet The bedside lights were both either on or off.
- Darren (8/5): -
- Marilyn (7/5): Extremely clean and smart. - The breakfast was good would of like the option of having it with the room. The staff were distant could of been a little bit more approachable and welcoming.
- Jacqueline (9/5): Lovely stay and will definitely be back. - The room was spotlessly clean and very spacious. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast and the gentleman in the cafe gave excellent customer service. The bed was quite creaky if you moved which was a bit annoying. However, it was still comfortable.
- Bryn (8/5): -
- Kim (9/5): -
- Emma (9/5): The Roade House is a lovely little hotel. Would definitely return if in the area. - Roade house has a very homely feel. The beds were very comfortable with lovely pillows.
The rooms had tea and coffee facilities and also some canned water and biscuits.
Check in and check out was super easy and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The room was on the warm side, however it was an extremely hot night so couldn’t be helped. A fan was provided in the room which was very much appreciated
- Carlton (10/5): Great place and great service - What a place great service and great rooms would
Defo book to stay at this pace again Nothing
- john (8/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): -
- john eckhart (10/5): Very good - The Breakfast was not included in the room fee but there is a cafe open to the public in the hotel where we were able to get breakfast from an alla Carte menu. The Cafe was closed for normal business on Christmas day but the did open it for an hour from 9.00am to 10.00am for our breakfast.
The hotel owners were very friendly and helpful at all times. Nothing really
- Paul (10/5): -
- Madelaine (10/5): - This remains my favourite hotel in the UK. Paul and Maxine are always charming hosts, ready to help with any queries or issues.
The vegan shortbread, homemade by Maxine, is a welcome addition to the rooms!
Although the kitchen and café now close at 3.00pm and the bar area is no longer accessible, food can be prepared for an evening meal on request, although it has to be something that can be eaten cold. Even so, there are good places to eat locally and alcohol can be bought in the café during opening hours.
Paul will sort any issues with grace and a smile, going above and beyond to be helpful.
The food is excellent, the team of staff fabulous and the rooms welcoming. Add in the yoga studio and sauna and this is the perfect stay for business or leisure.
- Julie (9/5): -

- Karen May (10/5): - Lovely, cosy and comfortable rooms. Owners were very friendly and helpful. The dog friendly rooms were well placed with a easy to access door to the outside and no through foot traffic passing the rooms.
The on site coffee shop was delightful, breakfast was absolutely delicious. Absolutely nothing. Very happy.
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Lee (9/5): - Great Staff, clean rooms. Bed was too hard
- Sophie (10/5): Brilliant stay! - Lovely room and very clean would recommend if in the area! Everything

Made to feel so at home
Infra red sauna was great
Yoga studio perfect
Cafe so good There was nothing i didn't like
- Mark (10/5): Home from home, but with better room service lol - Freindly and welcoming staff.
A very comfy bed oh and great room service.
- Arseny (4/5): - We stayed here for one night during our roadtrip in a "Luxury Triple Room".
On the positive side Paul was helpful and lovely. The room was dark, on the smaller side with a queen bad (not king), tired furniture arrangement and only 2 outlets. The mattress felt thin and uncomfortable.
The room we got was located on ground level, requiring to go up stairs, then down stairs to reach it. It had direct window to the street so everyone can see inside unless you close the blinds.
The real disaster though was the shower. It had the most complicated control system for a shower I ever encountered (see pic). Basically, its 2 rotating rings, each controlling both water temperature AND flow. It gets worse, because the effect is not immediate, after you change anything, it takes a bit for the water to react, so the cause-and-effect are not evident.
It was extremely confusing setting up the water and turning them off at the end.
Finally, as a place that prides itself on giving attention to the little details, both the body wash and conditioner containers in our shower were empty.
- m (8/5): - Room was quiet and everything was very clean and newly decorated. Bathroom was nice.
Food was excellent in cafe which was open early. A bit small for 3 people but ideal size for couple
- Craig (8/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): Great location and breakfast. Would stay again. - Great location. Family party, so good location for seeing everyone. Bed a little hard. Noise from room above. Heated towel rail in bathroom dusty.
- Alan (8/5): - The room was large with a good bathroom sockets near to the mirror I can’t understand why in such a big room the twin beds were only 2 feet 6 inches. Standard 3 foot beds or even 4 foot beds would easily fit. Also no sockets near the bed
- Ross (9/5): - Clean and tidy, comfortable beds, everything you need No complaints
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely two day stay whilst at a festival nearby. Would go back. Lovely choices for breakfast. - Clean welcoming great host and cafe. Parking was convenient too Nothing
- Steven (10/5): -
- Grace (8/5): -
- Allan (7/5): -
- steven (9/5): would return - excellent choice mattress on our bed could do with renewing
- ray (7/5): Short stay - Beautiful small hotel with lots of character .
Close to great pub with good food.
Great breakfast .
Paul was a cool guy and very helpful £470 for 2 night due to event at silverstone.
There was not an operating resteraunt or bar as per booking .com description. Was offered room service with very limited choice , a chili bowl been the only thing that looked like a meal but I would imagine was very nice.
- Alan (8/5): -
- Catherine (9/5): Me and my daughter stayed over one night and had breakfast. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff were - It was comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was very tasty.
- Jean-Michel (9/5): -
- Kate (9/5): -
- Chloe (9/5): - We really liked the place It had a lovely restaurant and nice extras with the Jacuzzi, sauna and yoga which we unfortunately didn't have time to do but it was a lovely place There was only one thing we could say and unfortunately it was the bed it was really uncomfortable with 2 single mattresses put together as a double/ king. But over all lovely stay thank you
- Stacey Savannah (7/5): Perfect for what we needed it for ! - It had a relaxing peaceful vibe and easy to find.
It was only a 20 minutes away from MK town Centre.
I would return for long weekend break That the second bed was practically on the floor made for a child not really a 6 foot 18 year-old. However it was comfortable.

- Andrew (9/5): Great comfortable stay, in a great village location, and had the best Avacado and Poached Egg on toast I’ve had for age - Specious comfortable room, great location. N/A
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Ideal location for croquet club tournaments. Lovely rooms. Would return - Ideal location for croquet club. Good size room with excellent on suite bathroom. Good offer at breakfast cooked to order. Great coffee lunchtime takeaway sandwich available on request. Lovely old village setting. Room service in evening for food Books available to read but room was a little dark even with all lights on.
Would have preferred to eat in the evening in dining area rather than bedroom.
- Geanina (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Brett (8/5): Nice & Comfortable - Very welcoming, Very comfortable room. Idyllic setting in a lovely village, ideal for a little night away.
- Carter (8/5): Very good -
- Donna (9/5): Nice comfortable stay. - Nice quiet town. Proximity to Silverstone was nice. The shower sprayed all over the bathroom - just a strange design of open tub shower. Only downside of the stay was the wet floor.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant - Village location Nothing
- Evie (10/5): Comfortable clean and nice location - Good food, coffees, friendly staff, helpful relaxed, nice pub across road Nothing
- John (9/5): A very pleasant, quiet place to stay to break a long journey. - We were met by the owner Paul, who was very welcoming. We were accommodated in a ground floor room, which was a generous size and with easy access to outside for our dog. We could have had room service that evening, but chose to eat at the pub opposite which we were told about by Paul. The food was excellent. Slept very well in a comfortable bed in such a quiet location. In the morning, we had breakfast in the attached coffee shop. There was a good variety of food on offer and the quality and service were excellent. We didn't make use of the yoga classes, spa tub or sauna.
- Shon (9/5): Superb - Great rooms, great breakfast, super helpful people
- Sally (10/5): Very relaxing and welcoming. - Nice big room with comfy bed and en suite shower.
Tea and coffee with homemade shortbread!
Infra red sauna and yoga!
- Jacky (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Really nice and good quality hotel - We had a really good stay and thought the accommodation was great Only one small issue , the radiator makes quite a loud noise in the morning for some reason and wakes you up but seems to stop if you turn the radiator on - I am sure this could be fixed quite easily though
- Sharron (10/5): Relaxing very nice - Really clean friendly Nothing
- Wendy (7/5): Good - The bed was really comfortable Tv too small for room size and was stuck to face bed, and not possible to watch it from sofa.
- Thomas (9/5): Comfortable and quiet - Comfortable and worth the money. Very quiet village and no issues recommending this for a weekend trip Tea bags in rooms were not individually sealed so questioning how old these were… but this is nitpicking!
