Staff wasn't extremely friendly but were accommodating and pleasant. No sofa or couch for more than one person to sit at a time.

Surprised to learn they don’t service the rooms but once a week. We weren’t informed of this and needed some fresh towels. Sheets were extremely thin and poor quality. Water not hot - we turned up the shower all the way and got warm ( not hot) water. Slow internet. Signs in the room requesting tips. Breakfast was good, though but not the hotel itself. Will not stay here again!

• stylesm2020 (2/5): Marriott Put Their Name on a Nightmare: No Power, No Elevator, Wrong Rooms, No Refund, No Help—We Were Stranded, Missed - 0-Star Experience — Unsafe, Uninhabitable, and No Accountability Booked 2 queen rooms at TownePlace Suites by Marriott (Alexandria, VA). Arrived 3AM—no power, no elevator, wrong rooms, no hot water. My sister (has cancer) sat in a hot hallway. Staff was rude, GM absent, Marriott corporate said it’s “independently owned.” No help, no refund. Missed graduation. Robbed, abandoned. 0 stars.
• Merelyn (8/5): - Property was great, staff were great, and close to restaurants, shopping, not far from MGM casino. I was stayed because of a friends funeral that day. The problem and it’s not hotels fault. A crazy 10 to 15 minute storm came through and killed power to 1/2 of the building, but the staff made sure that all guests were moved to a room with power.

Also they are pet friendly with a reasonable fee. Our room had a kitchen area with microwave, fridge, and cooktop with dishes and pans. Decor was modern and room features were maintained well. Highly recommend this place! Would definitely return.

• Keril (6/5): - I stayed here for 5 nights/6 days and my 2 kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast. However, the first room we stayed at had an ant problem. We were scheduled for every other day room replenishing service, but that did not occur and there was quite a few ants even though we do our best to keep the room clean and tidy. I probably had to remove about 10-12 ants in less than 1 minute and asked the front desk to provide another room, which they did. This room was much better and there were no issues the duration of our stay. I did find the front desk representative to not be as helpful considering our situation and me having 2 young children. He questioned me a bit and then the next day there were no pool towels and I requested a few more and again he questioned me by asking if there are any because they replenished the towel rack earlier. I double-checked and confirmed that they had no towels and he provided me with the number I initially requested, but unsure why there was so much questioning coming from this one representative. The rest of the staff were lovely and helpful. Just check for ants before you settle in.

We stopped here for a night and I was recognized for my lifetime platinum status and upgraded to a large suite. It was huge. Totally loved the space to spread out and relax. Room was not super clean and the floors were sticky. That was a bummer but we always travel with cleaning supplies so we remediated that. Breakfast was good but I think the oatmeal toppings need a refresh. Walnuts tasted stale and I think there was a 'spider web" in the yogurt raisins (😲)! Opted for the cheese omelette and an english muffin instead. Overall a good one night hotel and bring wipes with you.

The location isn't the best as it's rather isolated, some of the other guests seemed a little suspicious, and the quality of customer service could also use some improvement for the price.

What was the extra $50 charge for?!
