- Angelika (7/5): In need of deep clean and restoration but beautiful regardless. A piece of tropical paradise. - The villa looks stunning when you arrive. It's spacious and beautiful. Hammock on the terrace, large windows, wooden finish. Surrounded by greenery giving a jungle vibe, and just by the beach. A paradise you may be looking for... ...if you don't mind poor water pressure, very old looking and rusty shower, dirty cutlery and an overall look of an old villa that requires some investment to restore. The mosquito net over the bed proved quite useless falling on our heads. I couldn't use anything in the kitchen without scrubbing it down first. A new villa was being built on site, so the quiet paradise I was seeking wasn't so quiet. But, I guess you need to crack few eggs...

- Danièle (7/5): Sejour calme dans une ma0ison ancienne - Endroit calme, a cote d'une belle plage tranquile, personnel tres aimable, boulangerie excellente attenante au domaine, petit restaurant excellent et pas cher a proximite (La Terrasse). La maison est tres spacieuse. Acces a la plage d'a cote difficile quand la maree est haute (rochers), les maisons sont vieilles et meriteraient un rafraichissement, les ustensiles sont vieux, la vaisselle succinte (1 seule cuiller a cafe!), le lit est tres dur. Les transats sont vieux et dans coussins. La boulangerie est un peu chere.

The Villa is very comfortable and well equipped. We love the quiet and the beautiful view. There are a few good restaurants nearby and you can order food from many other restaurants in grab. The service is also very good. The house is old and it could use an update. There were a few maintenance issues but they were all taken care of after we asked.

- Alexandru (9/5): - Reason I note with 9/10 is because it would need update. ( furniture/bathroom) Part that nothing to complain, older villa but very clean and beautiful location.
- Iani (8/5): Villa in traumhafter Strandlage mit einigen Einschränkungen - Die Villa liegt direkt am Meer, von der Terrasse aus keine 5 Meter. Eine herrliche Lage mit schönen Palmen. Zugang zum Meer über eine glitschige Steintreppe. Gleich links vom Resort wird der Strand breiter, gut zugänglich und ist wirklich wunderschön. Am Strand ist es schön ruhig und nicht überlaufen. Für uns war das mit der schönste Strand auf Koh Samui. Eine (in die Jahre gekommene) typisch thailändische Villa. An vielen Stellen sehr abgewohnt. Die Küche haben wir nicht genutzt, sah auch weniger einladend aus dort zu kochen. Ansonsten alles Tip top sauber. Wir wurden vom Housekeeping liebevoll empfangen und konnten gleich früh morgens einchecken. Die Dame war sehr nett. Nach 3 Tagen wurde komplett gereinigt, frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Wäsche wird gegen Bezahlung gewaschen und kommt frisch uns sauber zurück. Die zum Resort gehörende Bäckerei ist super. Leckerer Kaffe und Backwaren. Etwas überteuert aber qualitativ richtig gut. Leider mangelt es an der Pflege und Instandhaltung. Die Liegen im Garten und auf der Terrasse waren alle kaputt, Lehnen gebrochen. Einer der Sonnenschirme war defekt. Am Pool sah es genauso aus. Die weißen Plastikliegen waren völlig verdreckt, alles wirkte ungepflegt. Wir sind auch nicht zum Schwimmen in den Pool. Die Betten sind sehr kurz, ca. 180cm. Der Schlaf war daher weniger erholsam. Auch stimmt u.E. die Größe der Villa nicht. Selbst wenn man die ganze Terrasse hinzurechnet sind es keine 230qm. Die zwischen der Straße und dem Resort liegende Palmen Plantage existiert nicht mehr, es entstehen dort neue Villen und eine mega Baustelle erschwert die Zufahrt. Da das Resort völlig abseits liegt ist ein Roller unbedingt zu empfehlen. Sonst sitzt man dort quasi fest.

Desole mais je dois etre sincer - L'habitation est spacieuse avec une belle vue sur la mer comme prevu dans la reservation lits confortables Le personnel est tres aimable et les demandes sont satisfaites rapidement Equipement antimoustique parfait Bonne taille de television L'habitation necessite une reforme urgente. trous dans les murs, equipement de cuisine fatigues. pas assez d adaptateurs pour les appareils de la cuisine. Les tiroirs ne rentrent pas ou tombent a l'interieur du meuble. Pas d'acces plage devant l'hotel. Ce n'est pas precise dans l'annonce. Resultat tous les gens qui se promenent sur la plage passent devant la chambre sur le terrain de l'hotel pour redescendre plus loin. Manque de privacite. Le petit dejeuner est payant ainsi que le dejeuner a la boulangerie qui appartient aux proprietaires de l'hotel. On peut regretter d'avoir a payer le meme prix que les clients de l'exterieur de l'hotel qui viennent a la boulangerie. Ce sont des prix eleves. En resume, je pense que les proprietaires ont rentabilise l'hotel et la boulangerie depuis longtemps et devraient investir dans une renovation sans augmenter les tarifs. D'ailleurs pour le produit le prix est tres eleve. Meme si le bungalow est grand. De plus, la plage est tres sale ainsi que l'eau. Rien a voir avec l'hotel mais il faut le savoir.

- Markus (8/5): - Sehr schicke Villa am Meer. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber und bei jedem noch so kleinen Problem oder Frage schreibt man einfach eine WhatsApp und schon ist jemand da. Sehr schön. Schlüssel holt man in der Bäckerei davor ab. Man ist sehr abgelegen und braucht daher um unbedingt einen Roller o. Ä... Die Fotos suggerieren, vor der Villa wäre sand-Strand. Das ist nur bei Ebbe der Fall. Liegen kann man nur im Garten.

- Aurore.B.B (4/5): Logement insalubre - Villa « cabane » seul les extérieurs nous ont plu Accueil express 1 minute chrono ! Il y a trop de choses qui ne vont pas rien à voir avec la description ou photo lorsque l’on est sur place la déception est grande…. Villa en bois non isolée porte ouverte au rongeurs insectes et lézards, tout est sale et hors d’âge, un insecte mange tous les meubles, 3 cuillères à café une cuisine remplie de déjections de souris et autres impossibles de cuisiner quelques choses tout est rouillé ! Nuisances sonores de la route et rongeurs sur la table de nuit nous avons réussi à en capturer un, nous avions hâte de partir très mauvaise expérience, on ne peut recevoir des voyageurs dans ce logement insalubre !
- Regina (8/5): Top Lage! Sauberkeit so lala. - Die Lage der Anlage ist fantastisch! Direkt am Meer. Die Terrasse ist ein absoluter Traum! Es gab keine Schlüsselübergabe. Wir mussten bei der Bäckerei nachfragen, jemand der die Unterkunft selber nicht kannte, hat sie uns gezeigt. Die Kommunikation mit dem "Gastgeber" war dementsprechend nicht sehr gut.

Il check in è stato un po complicati, abbiamo dovuto chiamare, in struttura non c'era nessuno, e non avevamo indicazioni sul nome della nostra villa

- Jessica (10/5): Traumhafte Lage wunderschöner Urlaub - Die Lage ist einfach ein Traum. Man hat immer den Blick auf das Meer. Egal ob man draußen in der Hängematte oder oben in der Dusche ist. Es ist unheimlich schön und ruhig gelegen. Uns hat es unheimlich gut gefallen. Die Vermieter waren super lieb und sofort zur Stelle. Es hat alles gut geklappt und ich würde jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren. Es gibt Ebbe und Flut und bei Flut hat man genug Wasser um Baden zu gehen. Man kann nicht weit raus schwimmen, aber das habe ich in so einem Fall auch nicht vor. Ein bisschen abkühlen, wobei das bei den Wassertemperaturen auch kaum möglich war. Ich sage das hier mit einem augenzwinkern, denn es war total schön warm. Aber ein bisschen planschen kann man auf jeden Fall vor Ort. Außerdem gibt es ein Kanu, welches man benutzen kann. Auch ganz toll und einfach gelöst. Man kann am Strand lang gehen und findet einige Restaurants. Auch an der straße gibt es ein ganz tolles Restaurant, in dem wir häufig waren. Das jammern ist schon auch sehr hohem Niveau, aber wenn ich etwas sagen muss, was man verbessern könnte, dann wäre das schon ein bisschen die Ausstattung, scharfe Messer, vielleicht ein bisschen mehr Besteck. Natürlich müsste vielleicht ein Badezimmer mal neu gemacht werden und die Klimaanlagen sind von der Temperatur sehr unterschiedlich. Mal sehr warm und wenn man es kühler stellt dann gleich wieder eiskalt

Réactivité du personnel suite à l Absence d eau chaude et de moustiquaires pour le 3eme lit Logement bruyant alors que noté insonorisé : on entend fortement la route. Le chantier à côté est certes indépendant de la volonté des propriétaires mais en l absence d isolation c est très bruyant. Absence de réception : pas d excursion possible, Absence d indications sur les locations de voitures de renseignements sur ce qu il y à faire Absence de supérette Logement qui manque d entretien Débarras sous les logements qui laisse un sentiment mitigé à chaque fois que l on passe devant Une voiture ou scooter est nécessaire

- Matthew (9/5): I would recommend this property and if in return to Koh Samui, I would stay here again. - We loved our stay at The Natives Samui. We’re a family of 4 and we found the accommodation very spacious. Large living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathroom. We loved the outside balcony area with sea views - A gorgeous spot to relax. This is not a fancy resort, it’s a beautiful traditional Thai beach villa and we loved it. It’s basic but that adds to its charm. Staff were lovely and friendly. Easy check in and check out. The area is quiet but perfect for some down time - We spent 4 nights here and then 4 nights in Koh Samui in a busier area, it was a lovely mix. Property is beach front, the beach is narrow in-front of the property but we sat there watching the sunset a few times. Walk to either left or right on the beach and the beach widens to allow for sunbathing etc. The property has a couple of kayaks which are free to use, which was nice. A handful of restaurants in walking distance, very traditional Thai restaurants (delicious food and cheap) which only added to our experience in this lovely area. Bathrooms quite basic but ok. Shower downstairs was cold (but fine to cool down with after a hot day at the beach). Upstairs shower was fine.

- Knight (9/5): Beautiful place to stay, but expect a few very minor quirks - Beautiful location, villa and gardens. Right on the beach. Very comfortable beds allowed some of the best nights sleep I've had in ages, well, with the help of the night sounds that could be heard all around. Fully air conditioned. Mosquito nets, and other little things that just made our stay comfortable. Very good size accommodation. Great views from the bedroom. Very safe location and family friendly. Close enough to the busy areas like 'Fisherman's village', only a short drive (8km) (with hiring a car or motorbike) but far enough away to not have the late loud nights No owner presence made check-in very difficult, but as our stay was just after the Songkran period, it's understandable and forgivable. No key was provided so we were unable to lock up while we were out, Pool could have been a little cleaner (leaves and bigger gathering at the bottom) (A resident gecko living somewhere in the roof calling out 'Ge Kohhh' every night at around 10pm, 1am and 4am I believe this is a Tokay Gecko. It was cute at first and the kids loved it, but got quite annoying after the 3rd night. This is of course a part of the charm of Thailand and is in no way, a reflection on the Natives. :) )

- Alan (8/5): A great home from home. - That’s are very spacious properties with high quality furnishings. Perfect for a home from home type stay. Completely private and in close proximity to shops and restaurants. It’s right on the sea front but not necessarily a beach. Housekeeping is good and there a a bakery on site providing great cakes, breads and coffee. A car or scooter is a must with this property if you want to explore the island. There is a local company, BM Travel, just around the corner who are helpful, friendly and trustworthy who can see to all logistical needs. Some screws and Bolts in the property could do with tightening up. Some service areas around the grounds are visible and there isn’t a beach unless it is a very low tide. Although the sea is accessible all of the time.

- Tomasz (10/5): Simply amazing! - Amazing place! We have booked it by accident, just after arriving to Koh Samui, but we never regretted it. When we got there, we were immediately enchanted with the place. Charming, stylish houses hidden between the trees, right at the beach. We had house in the second row, but it only added to the sense of privacy. Great terrace with vintage fans allowing for relaxing evening, well equipped house with comfortable furniture. Great bakery on the spot offering hot bread, rolls, cakes and whatever you may like for breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts and staff. What else you might want? We will miss this place... If you seek sterile, state-of-the-art hotel with all modern amenities - go somewhere else. If you want privacy, nature, relax, quiet neighbourhood and friendly atmosphere, and you don't care if some of the appliances do not work exactly like they should - that's place for you. Thank You! P.S. Shops, restaurants etc. are within 15-20 min walking distance, so you should consider renting a car or scooter, for your comfort. Hosts without problem will help you finding reliable provider.
- Danny (8/5): Overall good value for money, but some serious issues that need addressing. - Wonderful location on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and massage shops. Friendly reception. Affordable hence good value for money. Maintenance of the units was lacking: air conditioning issues, wear and tear of floorboards and thus a lot of creaking, weak shower. The villa needs serious refurbishment. Communication with the staff isn't good - very intermittent prior to arrival, and post-arrival the limited english spoken was a barrier.
- Lubica (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful terrace and garden, beach access, accommodation right on the beaxh with beautiful sea view. Great location walking distance from the beach restaurants and other beach with better access to the sea. The villa is older but it has an atmosphere of coziness and Thai paradise. Very helpful and nice staff. Definitely recommended. Somethimes in the morning the sea recedes too much and there is no swimming, but ten minutes walk away there is a great beach where you can swim throughout the day (also with the bar restaurant:)
- David (7/5): beautifull place but a bit remote - the beautiful area, bungalows and garden it was a bit remote with not much to do around, there is a bakery for breakfast and lunch but is was closed for 2,5 days leaving us with no options for breakfast for 3 days.. to do some shopping you need a taxi

- Robert (10/5): Paradise - I thought it was a little slice of paradise. I loved the gardens, they were beautiful and made each property seem more private. We all liked the pool especially as the water was cold, we needed that after a very hot day. The beach looked stunning and we enjoyed using the kayaks. There are some very good and affordable restaurants very near to the property. I liked being so close to the beach, which meant we could walk along the beach to get lunch or dinner. The sunsets were amazing. The breakfasts were great. The kayaks were very heavy and a bit awkward to get onto the beach
- Julie (7/5): Book the beachfront villas unless you want to compromise - Excellent on site bakery, worth popping in even if you are not stopping at the resort. This review is for the garden view villa and not one of the beach front villas which we believe are of a much higher standard. The villa was very quaint however it appears to be rarely rented as internal shower leak, outside shower total collapse and very very cheap (and in the case of the kettle - dangerous) kitchen items seem to confirm. To be totally fair to the resort the initial contact with the host stressed strongly this was not a beachfront villa so we were alerted to the fact it may not reach expectations. For our purposes it proved totally adequate and the staff promptly and efficiently addressed all issues as they arise.
- Richie.king (9/5): Just a lovely place - Such a beautiful place, very nice people and charming villa with private garden and entry to the sea. They got their own sourdough bread etc (very tasty). Just a cosy beach, however you can walk 50m left and it's ok.
- Martina (10/5): tropical villa for a family or group of friends right on the beach - The location is amazing, right on the beach and with enough privacy from the other villas. Plenty of space inside and great seating areas outside on the patio, with extra table & chairs for breakfast and sunbeds. the interior was a bit dated and some of the appliances didn’t work

We can't wait to go back. - Wonderful property in a less touristy and more authentic part of the island with most of the necessary amenities near by for a quiet and leisurely holiday: a few restaurants within walking distance, 7/11 convenience store, etc. Exceptional Internet connection, marvelous landscaping, cleanliness, ocean views. We rented scooters for much of our stay with only further expanded our autonomy and enjoyment. Staff are sweet, prompt, competent and very discreet. Breakfast is just splendid. The bungalow was spacious with one closed bedroom and one open/loft bedroom upstairs with spectacular views of the ocean. Upstairs bathroom uncooled and a bit funky. It did not bother us at all because we are a small family and all used the downstairs main bathroom.

- Francesca (10/5): One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed. - One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed and we've travelled a lot. Huge windows to enjoy the fabulous view and wonderful quiet garden. Perfect for a family. The breakfast was first-rate. There are a few nice places to eat within walking distance along the beach. There are even kayaks you can borrow to explore the coastline. Some of the interior fittings, such as the showers and decors were a little tired and perhaps due for replacement. But very clean and with everything you might need.
- Susanne (10/5): A piece of paradise on earth - We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this little paradise! Our authentic Thai house had everything we needed, it was quiet, peaceful, just a few steps from the beach, with a little garden and lush greenery. A short walk on the beach brought you to a nice restaurant where you could dine in the sand. The sunsets were exceptional! The personal was very friendly, breakfast just marvelous with freshly baked bread! The pool area was clean and the pool itself refreshing. Everything about our stay was wonderful!
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - What a fantastic stay...secluded very private house in a wonderfull exotic setting with big coconut trees and the sounds of the sea...nothing else....but privacy with an outstanding breakfast, every morning another surprise...fresh and delicious. The owner herselft calm and so friendly, with a fantastic bakery inside the resort, we loved to stay here every minute. Small authentic restaurants to every side in a few minutes and a 7-eleven just 1 km away. We´re already planning to come back here next summer, till then stay happy and all the best to you Thomas and family nothing, cause there was nothing to complain about !!!!
- Dj (7/5): 3 star accommodation, outdated, great location / view - On Booking.com a 4-star location, however definitely not more than a 3-star accommodation. Villa’s are spacious, however quite outdated. Other reviews stating being a 5-star accommodation convinced us for booking The Natives Samui, however are misleading or rated by travelers who never stayed in a 5-star accommodation before. Airconditioning and fans work well. Cleaning service - once every 2 days - is great. If you book, make sure to make a beach villa, hence you will be guaranteed of great / breathtaking views. Breakfast is moderate, coffee and bread (make sure to reserve) at the reception is great! Staff is also friendly and supportive. Quite still area however there are several nice restaurants around, would recommend The Sea and The Hug Samui. Otherwise Grap or local taxi service will be able to bring you around. Most closely located 7to11 is at ~ 1 km walking distance. Bigger stores at least at 2 km’s. Resort also has a nice pool, however also some overdue maintenance with loose hanging planks, broken deck.
