• Trevor (9/5): Few niggles but a fine stay. - Fantastic staff and huge room. Fine selection of food and a good portion. Would help if they had blackout blinds on the windows. WiFi not brilliant in room 225 kept dropping out.
• Stacey (7/5): Ok - Lovely building,lovely decor The room needs a good clean,thick dust in the skirting boards..cleaning staff think it’s ok to slam doors and talk loudly very early in the morning.

• Kevan (10/5): A superb location to attend a family wedding, the room we stayed in was spacious. - Breakfast was lovely. Nothing bad to report.
• Beverley (8/5): Lovely venue and excellent room. - Lovely big room with extra large king size bed, function room was a perfect size for a small party. No bar in our function room so had to keep going downstairs to use the bar in the larger room. There was a wedding on there so the bar was very busy with quite a long wait.

• Kieron (8/5): Good clean and tidy room. Peaceful nights sleep. Good food available from restaurant. - The hotel restaurant food was very good. Had the lamb and mint suet pudding.
• Paul (10/5): Wonderful hotel great rooms, meals and friendly staff - The hotel was clean and tidy, rooms warm with wonderful decor and good tea making facilities. Excellent shower and toilet area, the hotel has an amazing restaurant serving meals which are wonderful and all the staff are friendly giving great service. Local shops are with in a short walk but the hotel is a short drive away from our friends house so ideal for us when visiting them. Wi-Fi could have been a bit better but it didn’t spoil our stay.

• Philip (9/5): Comfortable room, lots of parking and great restaurant. - Spacious, clean room. Lovely restaurant. Good food. The shower is great, but needs a shelf for toiletries. This had been pointed out by a guest in a previous review. The toiletries provided were disappointing, & dispensers would be much more environmentally friendly. As would bin divided into components for recycling.

• Jill (10/5): Cosy, everything as we expected - The lunch in the hotel and the room The breakfast was ok but not as good as the food in the restaurant during the day. The eggs and tomatoes were poor quality

• Ben (8/5): Last minute booking that turned out to be a little gem. - The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very nicely designed and the food was amazing. I had the steak pie and to be honest, the nicest pie I have had in years. Good selection of beers and wines, and just generally very impressed overall. Looking forward to using this as my Midlands stop over in future. I only had one slight issue and that was the shower curtain. It wrapped itself around me due to the pressure of the shower and open bathroom door. Apart from that I had no other issues.

• Linda (10/5): Overall a fabulous place to stay. - Breakfast amazing, everything you could wish for from cereal,yogurts , cooked was plentiful with a excellent choice. The staff while competent could benefit more emphasis on guest warmth and friendliness especially at the bar in the evening.

We ate in the restaurant- I had a burger which was a little dry - my husbands fish and chips were okay - we both had a frangipan tart which was too sweet and the ice cream mediocre Breakfast was okay apart from the sausage!

Our room was lovely and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bath towels a real treat. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The surrounding countryside was also beautiful.

• Barry (10/5): If you stay here you will not be disappointed 10 out of 10 . - We were meeting up with family and decided to book one night , we were not disappointed . Exceptional . We wish we had packed more to stay for your New Years Eve Party night . Breakfast was superb as was the dining the afternoon before . If i had to make a gripe and i really don't like to , is the lady that booked us in seemed a bit abrupt . I did try conversation but felt it was name, card for payment , key and that was it .
• Tracy (8/5): Convenient and comfortable - We like location and price My husband is disabled and we had to climb stairs which was awful! A lift would be much better. Also please put an anti slip mat in the shower cubicle. I almost slipped numerous times, very dangerous

The food was excellent will be booking for 2026 NYE and will look at eating out here before then Excellent place staff food and facilities

• Jason (6/5): It’s was ok nothing to right home about and probably would not stay there again , - Room was big , had a bar and restaurant Hotel room walks were thin and this meant you could hear lots of noise from other rooms and doors slamming, no toilet roll holder, bathroom shower tray mouldy around bottom where it meets the floor .bar staff grumpy, on check out they lady was not polite and just took the key and turned away . Not giving me a chance to voice my problems.
