- Jennifer (4/5): We only wanted to sleep there as met family in Amesbury but didn't get to sleep much - lovely old village didn't sleep as church rang chimes every hour in full throughout the night and although it's nice to hear the birds in the morning, crows started at 4am and continued throughout the early morning, Saturday night was hoping for a better sleep but wedding celebration meant that very loud disco music went on until 12 pm

- Ann (1/5): Absolutely dreadful!!! Safely say we will NEVER stay again. - Nothing!! Was visiting from down South for my father-in-Law’s 95th birthday! We wasn’t made aware that there was a function downstairs. The music was so loud the floor to our room was vibrating. We went downstairs and complained to be told that the music would be off at midnight. Wasn’t offered another room or any empathy whatsoever. Absolute disgrace!! Complete waste of £81!!!

- Mark (1/5): Fawlty Towers would have been better - There was not much to like to be honest. I liked leaving the next day. The location is great for Stonehenge and Wiltshire. The shower was hot and the biscuits were ok. The decor is flaking paint, dirty skirting boards, walls, flaking ceilings. Room decor was dated. Room was freezing, took 2 hours for the inadequate heater to take the edge off the cold. No restraint, bar wasn’t open, nowhere to lounge. WiFi was unusable. No staff.

The location is spot on if you’re visiting Stonehenge, and you’ve got shops and pubs just around the corner which makes things easy. Parking is right outside the hotel at £6 for 24 hours, which is good value and hassle-free. Staff were helpful and knew what they were doing, no issues there. The room was clean, well prepared, and exactly what you need for a comfortable stay. We were in Room 5, just up the stairs, easy access. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a smooth visit. Only small point is the hotel is a little dated and could do with a refresh in places, but that’s purely cosmetic and didn’t affect the stay at all. No complaints overall. - Andrew (1/5): very poor, hotel falling apart and wouldn't recommend it - location and nothing else apart from the pub next door shame that wasn't a hotel the hotel requires a revamp, hotel falling apart and was the worst hotel we have stayed in. it felt like we were the only ones staying there because there was only one setting for breakfast the next day and that was poor and the set up for the tea and coffee was all dirty and not fresh. we paid 190 pounds for the room for 2 nights and one breakfast and feel like it wasn't worth more than a total of 70 pounds for the whole trip

- Claire Louise (5/5): Beautiful location, lovely room wouldn’t recommend breakfast. - The best thing about this property is the location, in a beautiful little town very close to exploring Stonehenge. The property itself was lovely, great room. Bathroom was a little dated but ok. The false advertisement of the breakfast. I basically paid just under £10 to eat two slices of toast. A maintenance man took our breakfast order, he explained he wasn’t happy doing it, I’m guessing they were short staffed after we heard a row between staff at 5:25am! There wasn’t any fruit or yogurt as advertised. The cooked breakfast wasn’t nice at all, again, I don’t know if it was because of the staffing issue. My ONE poached egg wasn’t drained and floating in water. The ONE hash brown was dripping in fat. It wasn’t to my taste at all, so I made do with the toast that I made myself.

Room was dirty and very ‘ tatty’ cupboards and drawers dusty and dirty, tea cups cracked and looked as if they had been in another restaurant as logo depicted? Bathroom no plug in handwashing basin, hot tap rotated when tried to operate it toilet black below waterline a lot of mildew in shower cubicle also bedside table sticky and had what looked like used dental floss on it? No visible staff to welcome guests.
- Anke (5/5): Een heel simpel verblijf vlakbij Stonehenge. - De locatie was prima: midden in het dorpje en op slechts 7 minuten rijden van Stonehenge af. Daarnaast zat er onderin het hotel een pub, die gezellig was om in de avond een drankje te doen en waar elke hotel gast zich verzamelde. Het personeel was uitermate vriendelijk en de sfeer was ongedwongen en huiselijk. Helaas was er niet goed schoongemaakt in onze kamer: de ventilator in de badkamer zat vol stof en er lag ook veel stof onder het bed. Ook de tegels van de badkamer zagen er niet netjes uit. De vloeren liepen scheef en de moest je in de nacht wel aanzetten, omdat het tochtte in de kamer. Daarnaast had degene die ons ontvangen had verteld dat we gratis konden parkeren voor de deur. Wij hadden duidelijk aangegeven dat we om 10:45 uur zouden uitchecken, maar dat zou geen probleem zijn. De volgende ochtend hadden we een bekeuring. Bleek achteraf dat we maar tot 0800 uur daar hadden mogen staan. Als we dat hadden geweten, hadden we de auto kunnen verplaatsen naar het parkeerterrein tegenover en daarvoor betalen.

Premises has a huge rear garden which was great for our dog Issue with TV apparently booster broke and the owner hasn't replaced it. It didn't effect our stay

- Nigel (1/5): Never Again! - It was conveniently placed near the bus stop. Once we got out of the car, the owners were smoking at the entrance to the hotel. We were given probably the worst room in the hotel. Small for a couple, the bathroom needed a deep clean. There were cobwebs on the wall. The hot tap was loose, half a toilet roll, and urine in the toilet. The bathroom light was on a sensor, which took ages to turn off. The TV didn't work, no signal. My digital radio could not be connected. The mattress felt like it had no substance to it. Overall, a poor example of a tired, neglected hotel which has seen better days, about 30 years ago.

- Nick (1/5): Don’t stay there - Quaint, old pub hotel Mould in the shower, cobwebs around the windows. No working TV, cables dangling everywhere. Bathroom light that comes on even when the door was shut. Noises corridors, noisy event coinciding downstairs till very late.

Breakfast chef was scruffy and unkempt and made me refuse a cooked breakfast. The hotel in general was in dire need of cleaning and updating and many repairs to both building and facilities were needed, there was speed tape up the wall in the breakfast room with an obvious bowl to catch rainwater beneath it. Fortunately, as this was a solo trip and all I needed was a bed for 2 nights, I tolerated it, I would never return, especially If I was accompanied

- Pet Care (9/5): - Located in a lovely village, with good amenities & easy access to local attractions either by car or by bus. Really nice hotel with helpful & friendly staff. Spacious & comfortable bedroom & a really nice hotel bar which is open until late Nice cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel & happily stay here again. There wasn't anything I didn't like, but I think it would be good if the breakfast menu could be a little more varied. It would be great to include additional hot food options aside from the standard cooked breakfast. Some hotels that I've stayed at offer things like Eggs Benedict, breakfast muffins, etc. It's always nice to have options like that.

- Ann (9/5): Our overnight stay in Amersham, with 2 dogs, was comfortable and enjoyable. - We liked the staff who went out of their way to make our stay as good as it could be. The TV in our room didn't work so we immediately got moved to an upgraded room. The lights were on a sensor rather than a switch and were a bit random.

- gavin (2/5): I’m sorry but I won’t be returning - The property was once likely a great place to stay, that is no longer the case Dirty and unloved is the best you can say about the room I was in. To have 4 radiators in one room and only the smallest working in cold weather is far from great. But with all the fixtures and fittings either being worn or broken it was less than ideal. This topped off by damp plaster falling from the ceiling and a bathroom light that doesn’t stay on and probably the worst bathroom cleanliness I have come across

- Marcus (4/5): - My room had a feeling of neglect about it. I don’t mind a bit of peeling wallpaper but it had a smell, as if it hadn’t been opened for a long time. Breakfast of cheap ingredients. Poor hotel, it has a really nice breakfast room and garden, but desperately needs some investment and customer care to bring it back to a standard. I hope this happens. For the equivalent price I paid I’ve stayed in so many decent places, and my price at the Antrobus was supposedly ‘discounted’.

- Calderclere (10/5): A warm and comortable experience. - We liked our room. We had a view to the front of the hotel, so we could see life passing. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of space. We have nothing to criticise. The staff, as before, were exceptionally helpful and accommodating.

- David (8/5): Adequate - Staff were very friendly, the room was adequate nothing special. It was ok for me as I was travelling for an army reunion but wouldn’t recommend for a couple as the hotel is quite scruffy and needs money spent on it Too many diy jobs need doing around the whole hotel
- Amy (4/5): Do not stay here - Stayed here for one night with my partner. Got upgraded to the “Beatles” suite. Struggled to get the key to work in the door and had to get the hotel receptionist to open it. The room was incredibly dusty and there were hair and crumbs on the bedside tables. There was even dust all over the black walls. The bathroom was disgusting- mouldy and damp with no ventilation. The bathroom also looked on to the front street however there window beside the toilet was not private, with only 2 small panes of private glass. There was a blind in the bathroom but it was so grotty neither of us wanted to touch it to attempt to shut it. The bed was large however half of the mattress springs had gone on one side and so half of the bed was sloping. Really disappointed with the stay here, had we not arrived so late we would have left and found a different hotel. The receptionist who checked us in was lovely, but we didn’t see anyone else that night/ morning when we left.

Shower needed a good clean at the bottom. And the toilet seat scared me when I sat on it but other than that, it was perfect.

No double lock on the inside of the door. There was electrical items everywhere. Loose cables everywhere too. The curtains did not block out the light. Cushions were stained. Horrid! The bathroom was FILTHY. Cobwebs, mould, the window looking out onto the road wasn't frosted. The bath was dirty. When I left in the morning, I wanted to talk to somebody about it, and there was nobody at reception or anybody clearly in charge. I am also awaiting an invoice, despite being promised that it would be sent.

- Ann Cowperthwaite (6/5): Stonehenge stay - In the middle of town. Near to bars ect and only 5 miles from stonehenge. We were upgraded to a superior room as I'm a genius member. Tea and coffee available. Bar downstairs. We didn't have breakfast here. Decided to go to friar tucks cafe. Staff friendly and informative. No parking but public park across the road £6 for 24 hours bed clean and comfortable Could do with a refurb. Grout in bathroom black with age /mould (superior room) paint pealing on windows and chocked open with wood. Wires hanging down the wall from TV which had no reception at all. We were told it's a problem in the hotel at the moment, nothing they could do.

- Ola (1/5): Horrendous - the dirtiest hotel i have ever stayed. - Checkin There were lots of issues with the room we stayed. There were dust everywhere, there was a foul smell from the duvet cover, The bathroom was dirty, the bathrooms tiles were all grimy, cobwebs all around the room (even outside of the building), and the beds was wonky because the wall that the bedframe was pushed on was slant.
- Ola (1/5): Our stay in Antrobus was a nightmare, the room was so dirty as if it has not been clean for months. - The check in was hassle free as it should be. There were lots of issues with the room we stayed. There were dust everywhere, there was a foul smell from the duvet cover, The bathroom was dirty, the bathrooms tiles were all grimy, cobwebs all around the room (even outside of the building), and the beds was wonky because the wall that the bedframe was pushed on was slant.

- Dean (3/5): The worse place I’ve ever stayed in my life - It was dry inside Very dirty carpets and bathroom was very mouldy the list is to long ….just such a sad lovely building going to rack and ruin
- Michele (1/5): - Nothing The room was filthy,, mold on the wall and shower curtain. Bed soft and very low. The room smelt damp. the receptionist didn't have another room available so we checked out and paid to go to another hotel down The road.
- Alison (7/5): A bit run down, clean sheets, towels and great service from lovely girl in reception - Stunning building, beautiful garden, lovely bar and rooms, interesting history It was shabby and a bit neglected, needs a huge restoration project to take it back to its former glory

- Hannah (10/5): Super close to Stonehenge! - Super cute place! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue was finding the place as the maps has it completely different. Close to stonehenge making it the perfect one night stop
