Guest Reviews
- Cheryl (9/5): Great overnight stop - Woodlands is a great place, very comfortable (just a bit far off the A3 for an overnight stop, especially after hours of the awful roadworks on the A3.) However, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Staff friendly, ready meals very helpful after long journey! The unpleasant road to get there
- Heleen & Eugene (8/5): Perfect stopover! Charles were clean. Personal very friendly and helpful - Perfect stopover! Charles were clean and we had a nice outside braai. Personal very friendly and helpful.
- Simone (8/5): Great stop over place - Great stop over property. The fans and air conditioner didn’t work.
- Jacob (10/5): - We had such a lovely stay that we returned and stayed here on our return a second time for two days. Tebogo is a gem of an employee!! Nothing
- Roux (9/5): -
- Johannes (8/5): - . .
- Carol (10/5): -
- Henry ZIM (9/5): Best 'campsite' in Bots - Superbly maintained facilities throughout the site (we were in a lodge). Manicured lawns, nice braai set-up. Decent en-suite ablutions and a comfortable bed. The kitchenette area despite being well-kitted is more suited to wing three-quarters than front-row forwards spatially. That said, as night-on-the-road accommodation, no complaints! Having prepacked meals, ice and some wines handy is a boon.
- Stephen (10/5): A fabulous stopover - Fabulous grounds, lovely location, spotlessly clean, with really friendly and efficient staff Nothing
- Colleen (10/5): - Nice & quiet stopover en route home.
- Petrus Jacobus (9/5): Quiet, pieceful and comfortable - Maybe a single gas stove
- Vivienne (10/5): Fabulous - Beautiful and peaceful. Gardens lovely to relax by the river, beautiful big trees and great birdlife. Very well maintained and welcoming

- DP3220 (9/5): A great stopover. - The location was off the main road and fairly easy to find. I appreciate that they had a later evening check in. The saff were very friendly and we were able to order a dinner to heat up in the unit's microwave. The grounds were very well kept. It room needed a little modernizing. The cooling unit was very noisy and you had to vent the windows in order for the unit to work efficiently.
- Arkadiy (8/5): -
- Francois (9/5): I would stay here again. Tea welcomed us with absolute friendly housewarming feeling - Feels like home and very quiet area Hot water pressure a bit low but not a train smash
- Richard (10/5): Loved our stay - Great location on beautiful grounds with abundant bird life Nil
- Brown (7/5): Amazing place, a bit pricey, but lovely for a stop over. - The venue was beautiful and spacious. The road to get there from Francistown (the one Google Maps took us), was not passable in a normal car and there were no sign posts. Thankfully we were in am SUV which could handle it.

- Dina (9/5): Tranquility - Set along a river (although no water when we visited) the location is peaceful and the room spacious with a small kitchenette. The amenities and decorations were appreciated. A nearby bird walk was enjoyable. It is away from town but that is the charm, sitting and listening to nature’s songs. Delicious frozen dinners are available for purchase at reception.
- Margot (10/5): Another wonderful stay. - We love coming to Woodlands - the braai area and property is immaculate, the beds comfortable, and the self-catering equipment all you need. It is wonderful arriving at this little oasis after a long day’s travel. Nothing.

- Izelle (8/5): STaff and location great but aircolling and wifi a problem - Place ifsbeautiful with plenty bird watching opportunities. However Wifi did not work and no normal cellphone reception. Aircooling not effective Shower door did not close and Wifi did not work. Aircooling not very effective
- Ruth (8/5): Very enjoyable - 1. Beds and linen VERY comfortable & clean
2. Location was great
3. Pool was the best
4. Change Rooms exceptionally good
5. MIKES Meals were really good
6. Kiosk needed savoury goods - crisps & salty biscuits & Biltong 😬 Too many Knick knacks & Ornaments - Too busy - Not easy to locate your belongings
- Ferguson (8/5): Great location for stop overs. - Well signposted. Clean. Nice green space.
Easy booking and check in process. Everything to like. Dirt road coming in was quite rough after the rains. I find it priced about 20% more than similar places.
- V (10/5): Beautiful tranquil stopover. - The staff (Daniel) was very friendly. The rooms are beautiful and generous.
The available meals were tasty and filled the spot.
The gardens are beautiful.
Nice viewing deck as well! The aircon is extremely windy and there's wind on your face making sleep impossible. Even on the lowest setting the wind was very strong. I would move the bed so it's not under the wind.
- Christo (10/5): Excellent, - Great location under the trees on the river with so many birds. A cool oasis. Nothing comes to mind
- Christo (10/5): Exceptional - Location great, no breakfast
- Herman (3/5): Extremely frustrating and expensive exercise. This could possibly also be due to wrong information on booking.com. - A comfortable bed and clean room. The booking.com website stated their reception is open until 10 pm. Yet their reception closes at 18:00 and we had to sleep in our car until a night guard opened up a room at about midnight. There was no one there that could help us upon arrival.
- Karlien (10/5): Idyllic stopover crossing through Botswana. So restful and serene place to recover from a long day’s drive. We will sure - Amazing stop over on our trip back to Zambia. Perfectly located. On arrival the staff are super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and exactly what we needed. It was raining and the staff organized a little stove in case we could not light the bbq. Superb service! ⭐️Food ⭐️Service ⭐️Location ⭐️Facilities ⭐️Value for money
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Liezil (7/5): Good -
- Philippe (8/5): Very good - The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Bathroom with large shower. The kitchen is small but sufficient for a short stay. The gardens are well maintained and very quiet.

- Robert (9/5): Lovely lodge surrounded by pristine nature - Stayed for one night and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are well equipped, each with a kitchen and private deck. The lodge and its surroundings are beautiful and we found it very relaxing. The gravel road from the Main Street to the lodge is a bit bumpy but can be driven with a 2x4.
- Michelle (10/5): Excellent place to stop - The setting was beautiful, a lovely place to stop for a night. The pre cooked meals are a winner to have for the night N/A
- Ninette (10/5): Exceptional -

- Eric (10/5): A wonderful stay over - Its a beautifully maintained property, with individual spacious chalets, with a patio, and braai facilities. Good chairs and recliners for enjoying outside area and friends.
The beds are very comfortable, and the kitchenette well organized.
Braai packs and cooked meals can be arranged which is most helpful.
The gardens are super, so many birds. We initially could not find the directions to the property.
