Perhaps I didn’t fully understand the value of this historical place, but the price is definitely overpriced. The parking is not on the premises (which was important to me); you can only leave your car outside the old town walls in an unguarded, open parking area. There is no restaurant or kitchen in the hotel. The breakfast is very limited.

Anastasia (10/5): Incredible - We only stayed for one night as a stopover while driving from the Basque Country to the Côte d’Azur, but it was such a memorable stay. A huge thank you to the entire team. You can really tell that the hotel is managed with an eye for detail. The staff and service were fantastic, and so many thoughtful touches made our short stay special. The room was very comfortable, the bed was excellent, and we slept amazingly well. Breakfast was another highlight. We loved the quality and variety of the food, and especially appreciated that it was served rather than buffet-style, which felt more refined and mindful of food waste. We would highly recommend including breakfast during your stay. I also want to give a special mention to Naomi at the spa. I had a two-hour treatment with her and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Very often in five-star hotels the massage experience can feel like a profit-driven extra rather than a truly skilled treatment, but here it was outstanding. The quality was exceptional and the pricing very reasonable for the standard delivered. If I had to make any suggestions, it would simply be small things to make the guest experience even more elevated. On arrival, especially in hot weather, it would be wonderful to be welcomed with a refreshing infused water or something similar. After the spa, being offered a flavoured water or tea to complete the treatment would also make the experience feel more rounded. These are small details, and really just nitpicking, because overall the stay was excellent.

Crispinox (10/5): Truly fabulous. - Communication prior to arrival was excellent as not the easiest to access. You park in Parking 1 outside the city wall (included in the room price) and it's a short walk through the main gate to the hotel. The design of this hotel is fabulous, very much rooted in the style of the Camargue with exposed stone and honeyed earth tiles, plus all the personal touches creating a very luxurious feel. We loved the little film on the room TV showing the restoration of the building. Room no 5 was gorgeous and the view from the window resonated Aigues Mortes. We particularly appreciated the wide rain shower, and even the loo was elegant!! Spa looked good although we didn't have the time to use it, but had drinks seated in the lounging sofas on the forecourt. Staff were most helpful. Highly recommended and we really enjoyed our stay. Such a minor quibble and quite frankly applies to hotels the world over - why do they not get a native-speaker to check the printed word. On the front page of the welcome in the room is the sentence: "We hope that this information was useful and that you will want." .... want what? Someone translating from French who is not a natural English speaker. Not important but as a teacher would say - could do better!

We used the indoor pool/spa and it was awesome after a day of walking. Great location. I parked in lot 2 and it was a 2 minute walk to the hotel. And when I left they got me out for free. The room was gorgeous.
