Guest Reviews
- Higor (2/5): - Cheguei tarde por problemas de locomoção, e não tinha ninguém para me atender. Dormi no sofá da recepção.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Likes: was affordable, ok area
Dislikes: was somewhat dirty (toothpaste still on the sink facet), old sheets with holes
- Ausraful (8/5): My stay at Prince Palace hotel - The hotel was ok. For hot water, you need to ask the reception to turn on a switch which I did not know until just before checkout. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was not good and I had to use mobile data. But for the price this is a good hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were very friendly, the property was ok but definitely not 4 star. The location wasn’t very nice, it was accessed via an alley way and there was a urinal down there, however close to tourist spots. There was an odd smell in our room and the sheets were slightly stained.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel shifted stay to another property. There was no lift in property.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great 👍 hospitality, friendly staff who will go out of their way to please you. I’m glad I found this place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ニューデリー駅から徒歩10分程度のホテルです。立地も良く、ホテルのスタッフの対応も親切でした(英語が下手な私とネットの翻訳機能を使って相談にも、応じてくれた)。とても良いホテルです。
- rahul (8/5): - Nice hotel.. near to metro and new delhi railway station.. polite staff.. they offer testy food.. they does not provide free water bottles.. all in all good hotel for family..
- Rose (2/5): - Very noisy bedroom, bed bugs, building work outside the lobby scattered debris on guests as they left the hotel. Awful, good reviews are very misleading
- Carina (10/5): Highly Recommend great value for money for area - Was amazed to find this gem down a side alley near the amazing coffee co cafe. Staff were friendly and efficient and room was clean and well equipped. Good WiFi. The restaurant isn’t really a restaurant, just a hall with one table in, but restaurant staff were attentive and kind.
- ゆうか (10/5): きれいな客室 - ダブルベッドとシングルベッドのファミリールームを利用しました。部屋は清潔で快適でした。なお、お湯のシャワーは出ませんでした、
- Shannon (8/5): quick getaway - My visit to the hotel and area was just for a quick getaway from real life and work. The location of the hotel provides for a great experience both in culture and in food. I would definitely do this again.
- Prem (2/5): - We booked this hotel terrible location very dirty path leading to the hotel, gave us a room on 3rd/4th floor but no lifts to take bags... eventually they offered us another alternative hotel about 10mins further it was much better..
- Harjinder (8/5): A clean and safe haven in Paharganj. But small roo - Very nice, clean and well designed hotel. Great for s night or two. The local area is a little shady so this was a safe respite from the mayhem outside. The only issue we had with our standard room was that it was small. Not enough room for a large suitcase. I had to step over it each time.
- Charles (8/5): A diamond in the middle of the coal - The hotel is very well priced and could actually charge more given the place is cleaner than most other hotels who charge a premium for much less. It is definitely renovated, finished with a mix of marble and wood with some minor finishing work still to be done which happens on the Indian time schedule so no chance it will interfere with anything you may do. The room was definitely quiet, though you may on an unpredictable night hear a dog pack expressing themselves for about 10 minutes before running off to some other place. It does not repeat and can happen near any hotel but really that was the only noise I heard. The rooms are relatively modern with very clean sheets and clean modern bathrooms. The hotel staff is very helpful and trustworthy. They will go out of there way to accommodate you with your best interests at heart and will happily assist you within their means to do so such as ensuring what you pay for travel is fair. The hotel restaurant is located at the top of the hotel but it does not have any tables and chairs yet. I would often go up to order food personally and speak to the chef who was an interesting man. Each time I would come I always saw the chefs kitchen helper feverishly cleaning the stove and venting. Certainly, the food was wonderfully tasty and quite affordable and while not all things listed on the menu were available, it is best to consult with the chef to know which dishes to order to save any confusion.
- Franklin (10/5): Great service - I forgot my glasses when I checked out and the staff were kind enough to keep them for me and then give them back to me when I came to collect my bags.
- Culture Shocked (2/5): Not deluxe! Mediocre lodgings in dirty noisy slum. - In the slum area of Delhi, where begging is rife, litter fills the busy narrow market streets. Horns beep all the time with stray dogs howling through the night. Don’t expect a window or a room clean during your stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful staff. They upgraded the room at the check-in. After check-out they provided a room for two hours to rest and take a shower before my departure to the airport, for free. Good hotel for the price. You need to ask the reception to turn on the heater before you take a shower, but there is no problem as the water gets warm in seconds. A part of the hotel is under renovation, but there is no noise from 8 P.M. to 10 A.M.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean hotel with low price - Very helpful staff. They upgraded the room at the check-in. Helpful for getting taxi. Helpful for arranging a package to visit Agra and Jaipur with a reliable driver. After check-out they provided a room for two hours to rest and take a shower before my departure to the airport, for free. Good hotel for the price. You need to ask the reception to turn on the heater before you take a shower, but there is no problem as the water gets warm in seconds. A part of the hotel is under renovation, but there is no noise from 8 P.M. to 10 A.M. The hotel is in the Main Bazaar Road in the heart of traditional local shops. But during late at night it is very quite. Five minutes walk to metro and train station.
- Balazs (10/5): Main market stay - First of all, the place is really new and everything in the room was perfectly fine. We had a nightmare trying to find the place but eventually got. The place isn’t located as stated on Expedia map. I attached a photo of the exact location. It’s on the Baba Namdev Marg. Check in and check out super fast. All amenities were brilliant. This hotel doesn’t offer an elevator but they certainly help with your bags to your room. The rooms were tiny but very clean, beds comfy, shower was the best we had during our India stay. Now we know the location we would stay again.
- Jasbir (10/5): good to stay - I was happy with the cleanees
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wouldn’t recommend - Hotel is a bit difficult to find and in rough condition. The sheets were not clean, and the restaurant isn’t quite complete.
- Md Azharul (10/5): - Excellent. Staffs are very cooperative.
- Singh (10/5): Nice Place - I found one of the nice hotel. The Hotel Manager Mr. Nandan and his staff are very good and helpful. The hotel room is well decorated (specially the blue light) having good service and food.
- Lara (8/5): Great staff, basic room, just what we needed - Staff were wonderful, especially Nandan and Jitendra. Very helpful and attentive. Hotel is basic and in a noisy area. Rooms are basic as well, but was perfect for what we needed for our short stay in New Delhi. Would recommend for anyone looking for something simple for a short stay.
- Daniel (6/5): Hmmm.... - No daily or weekly room cleaning.
If you request it they charge you.
You have to ask every time for them to turn on hot water.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - Nice hotel in the middle of the main bazaar, in the end of a sided alley. Rooms are very nice, hot shower, strong Wifi, good service, cleaning was ok but not great (there were shampoo drops on the shower wall). If you're looking for a place to stay in the main bazaar but want a quiet and nice room- it's a good place for you.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice hotel, located near downtown New Delhi - Hotel is located at the end of an alley so it's not on main street. Room was small but comfy enough. If you need Hot water you need to call front desk 10 mins before you plan on using the shower otherwise water will not be hot. Other than that beds were comfortable, outside noise was barely noticeable and staff was responsive to needs.
If anything could improve for this hotel would be the wifi speed, the fact that hot water needs to be "called to the front desk" aprox. 10 mins in advance for it to be turned on and that the shower does not have a curtain so water gets all over the floor but this seems to be the normal setup in India (stayed in 3 different hotels that had the same set up).
- Essam (4/5): Spend a little more money. - I saw reviews on Expedia for 4.7 out of 5, and booked the hotel. However i read reviews from other sites, and it was much much worse.
I arrived rather late, past mid-night, and the place is hard to find. Its behind a bazaar road in a dark alley. The lobby was not very inviting. They checked me in with ease, and gave me a key to the room. The room initially looked good, like it does in the picture, but there was no hot water, and the sheets were very itchy. There was a window that could not be opened, nor could you see out of, but it allowed for sunlight to come in in the morning, and there were no shades.
I only stayed 2 nights by myself, no family or kids. I would definitely not bring them here.
The rooftop bar/restaurant it just an empty room with no decoration, just one wooden table, and a few chairs. Food was good, although they do not open until mid morning. around 9am.
An employee walked into my room when I was in there without knocking, and I asked him, how I can help him, and he did not say anything, he just said sorry, and walked out, which was really suspicious. I made sure to keep my door locked for the rest of my trip.
The staff's English was not good overall, and did not provide any insight for tourists.
- Muriel (4/5): Hotel is still under construction - The hotel is under construction - the reception area is still being built, had to step over workmen and their tools to get upstairs. No restaurant, it hasn't been bult yet!
Room as very good although no windows. Staff very helpful. Will be a good hotel when they finish building it.
- Laura (2/5): Not safe for women!!! Do not come alone! - The quality for the price was fine, the new showers (this location is still under construction) were nice and it is located only a ten minute walk from Connaught Place. However, my best friend and I were made to the feel the most uncomfortable here than at any other point during our trip to India. The main worker Dharmeinder who always has a suit jacket on is friendly and helpful. However, one night we called the lobby to ask them to fix the wifi and a man with a beard and belly named "Vibim? Bibim?" (Said he was 21) came to our room with new wifi codes and then asked to take pictures with us. He said he liked Americans bc you can talk differently to us and do things with us...should have noticed that warning sign bc then he started to try to hug and kiss us. I got angry and told him to leave. He kept trying to stay in the room. He asked my friend to go into another room with him for two hours, disgusting. I got angrier and insisted he leave. When he finally left, he said "don't tell anyone." He then called the room from the lobby and kept asking my friend to go to another room with him. We were very uncomfortable bc of his aggressiveness and insistence and didn't feel safe. It was more than just a harmless flirting. I'm writing this review bc I'm worried about the potential future female customers. There are many other hotels right next to here, like the Shelton. This was the only hotel where we experienced this harassment. Please don't come alone here sisters!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Budget Hotel To Stay In Delhi - Good Moderate budget Hotel located in Delhi locality its called Main Bazar Paharganj. its on Middle of the the shopping market and metro station is close by. Located near New delhi railway station and easily accessible from the Airport. Staff of the hotel very nice and helpful Specially the front office. Main this is WIFI is working with good speed. Overall Awesome Facility.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Just What I Needed for the Night - I was got in late but front desk was super helpful. Room are small and clean , but everything I needed for the quick stay. I had Breakfast on the roof-top good view and tasty. Mr. Dharmendra was great in helping me with the checkoutand getting a taxi for cheap price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): location - beautiful room, clean, very nice staff, perfect location
- Marianna (6/5): Not really deluxe - - The hotel is located in the street where local males come to provide urine. Several times I've had an occasion to witness a male "marking his territory" and I need to admit, I have been tempted to push him straight into his own droppings.
- I booked a super deluxe room and didn't have hot water until especially requested it. They turn it on and off whenever they want
- The hotel is noisy and during the night it's impossible to sleep cause the staff yells, throws dishes and does the washing after midnight. Since there's is absolutely no isolation the rooms do not keep you off any noises. You are able to hear clearly a conversation on the next floor, not mentioning throwing dishes to the sink, this cannot be stifled even by a tv
- Verified traveler (10/5): owesome stay in delhi - i was stay in one night in hotel prince palace it was great stay, nice rooms new renovate with new bed and linen nice rooms interior, staff was helpful and polite. there is some rooms are also renovate in day time and little noise but after 6 pm its finish. service is great and fast. rooftop restaurant is under renovate. but kitchen is service in room food was very tasty.
