Guest Reviews
- Michael (10/5): - Fabulous place. Attention to detail and full of ambiance
- Kjell-åke (10/5): - Helt fantastiskt!! Hög mysfaktor, härligt rum med skön säng. Om man ska ge någon förbättringspotential så gick det inte att stänga avloppet i badkaret helt, så det var svårt att bada.
- Lisa (10/5): - Check in info sent by email self explanatory. Room was beautifully appointed with a lovely bath that had everything you could want. Even a little private porch to relax on. TV was easy to use and provided lots of cable channels to surf. Walking distance to quaint downtown area with several eateries and shops. AND a movie theater!
- John (6/5): - Gave the stay as a gift to our daughter. Billed as B&B but they received two muffins when they arrived and some yogurt in the refrigerator. When they inquired about breakfast the next morning the desk gal replied, "you got it yesterday". No coffee, no other food, rather curt response. They were forced to eat at the local diner for breakfast and ended up spending $25 for breakfast on top of what we paid for the room. Very misleading.
- William (10/5): - Easy check in process was a great start to our stay. Beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.
- Beth (6/5): - The room/bathroom was clean and the bed and linens quality and comfortable. Two negatives would be it’s not a typical bed and breakfast - more like a bed & snack. Breakfast for our 2 night stay consisted of 2 blueberry muffins, peach yogurt, small packs of peanut butter and orange juice which was in the room when we arrived Friday afternoon. The juice, yogurt and peanut butter was expired, so my guess is they hadn’t been recently placed or checked. My husband said the muffins were very good.
The house is beautiful with all the stained glass windows but it’s obvious the primary focus is the spa. There is only one common area that I believe is more of a reception area for the spa which has seating for maybe 4 people.
Our suite was #4 which was fine for sleeping - not so much for hanging out. My husband and I looked and felt a little like cabbage patch dolls in a room meant for Barbie’s.
This is a perfect place for someone looking to make use of the spa facilities.
- Christa (10/5): - Wonderful stay! The place was cute and the staff was friendly.
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful and peaceful - This is the second time we’ve stayed here and is even more beautiful than we remember. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. The room is named “Le Jardin” and it lives up to its name.
- Robert (10/5): - Very nicr
- Bonnie (10/5): Lovely get away - Charming house. Check in was easy. Walkable to downtown Wellsboro. Room was very comfortable.
- Aaron (8/5): Bed and NO Breakfast - Billed as bed and breakfast except…
No breakfast.
Arrived to find 4 small muffins in room which we thought was a nice touch.
Little did we know that that was considered the “breakfast” for all three days! There were also a couple of yogurts in the fridge.
Very disappointing. The room was cramped and not cleaned once during our three night/day stay.
The place was once amazing and remains with tremendous potential but for the most expensive location in Wellsboro I would have expected better.
- Andrew (10/5): - This was a great bed and breakfast! Wonderful hosts and great spa experience!!
- Brian (10/5): - Very clean and accommodating staff and Owners were Great
- MICHAEL (8/5): Relaxing and Refreshing - We stayed in the Paris room which was just what the name would imply. Beautiful furnishings and decor in the B&B and very pleasant landscape surroundings --quite comfortable. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. I definitely recommend the on-site hot rocks spa treatment. The owner, staff and even outside local contractors were very kind to my elderly Mom. We've already recommended you to other family members. Thank you so much for a great stay.
- patricia koester (10/5): Paris to the hilt! - Lovely room with large bathroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property had a spa and it was wonderful as were their gardens and the thoughtfulness of the owners around covid precautions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast. Delicious breakfast every morning, beautiful gardens and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very quaint Victorian home - we loved the atmosphere and tasty breakfast
- brian (4/5): - The bathroom was tiny. Could not get out of the shower without hitting the sink or toilet. It was advertised as having a jetted tub. Our room barely had a bathroom. There was no dresser or shelves for clothes. The heat was controlled by management. One night was stifling hot. The other two were freezing.
- roger (4/5): - liked your room but rest of everything was dirty and no clean linens, we think it was not cleaned since last people staying there.garbage was over flowing. they did not answer text or emails. no breakfasts?????
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No management on site. Depended on breakfast cook (very good) for local information. Proceeded to get lost going to Colton Point on Grand Canyon and spent next two hours wandering around the "endless mountains" of northern PA. Not fault of owner. I just wanted to complain about my taking wrong road.
- Sandra (10/5): - Charming and elegance inside and out. Room was lovely and cozy, with comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very cordial. Highly recommend!
- C.McIntire (10/5): - It was beautiful, it was a victorian style B&B and the location was great- right up the street from all the restaurants and stores. We walked to dinner and shopping in the evenings! The beds were comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was nice after walking all day in the pa Grand Canyon!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful Victorian house with lovely garden. Located within walking distance of downtown
- Andrea (10/5): - Thanks for a wonderful stay. Our host provided some great tips. Loved the front porch, perfect for relaxing after biking on the rail / trail. Easy walking distance to local restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and property, easy access to Town. Paris room spacious
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Would consider visiting again. Good main street location, charming property, pretty landscaping, good breakfast, enjoyed morning history chat with owner. Stayed in Pyrenees Room with cute little balcony...nice but mattress sagged a bit. Large tv with basic cable only.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good choice for B&B in Wellsboro, PA - The B&B was charming and very well located if you are in the area to visit Wellsboro.
- Thom (6/5): - Cassie is a great girl , she made our stay very nice. She prepared a nice breakfast ,and has a super nice , friendly attitude
- Ursamax (10/5): - I liked just about everything. Great location, beautiful room, delicious breakfast!
- John (6/5): - Our experience was different from most bed and breakfasts. The owners hired a cook and housekeeper to maintain the needs of the business. All communications were via email or text ; even the staff were distant and minimal. There are many other choices in this community and we will explore them on our next visit.
Also, it is time to flip or replace the mattress in the Provence room.
- J (10/5): - Lovely, historic home just a block from downtown. Beautiful gardens and very fun French decor throughout the home.
- Grace (10/5): - Adorable place! Great experience! Host is friendly and provided us directions and recommendations for places to go. Definitely will comeback again!!
- John (8/5): - This is a beautiful B & B, located right in the town of Wellsboro. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars. It is very clean, quiet and comfortable with stunning antique furnishings. The only draw back was breakfast was from 8 to 9 AM and we went at 8:30 and there was not much left of the main courses to eat. But still would easily stay here again if coming to Wellsboro.
- Tim (10/5): - Excellent Bed & Breakfast in a quaint town with very friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and beautiful gardens. Looking forward to our next visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay - Cozy beautifully furnished home in the heart of small town living. Great breakfast and clean rooms.
- Nancy (10/5): new Years Eve! - Wonderful relaxing, cozy and charming experience! Breakfast was excellent!
- Linda (8/5): First time B&B - Our stay at LaBelle Auberge was a relaxing experience. We stayed in room 2, first floor. Jacuzzi , stall shower, 2 vanities in the bathroom. King bed. Spotless. Very comfortable. The location was walking distance from everything in Wellsboro. There was a very pretty park about one block from the B &B. It was a ten mile drive through the countryside to the PA Grand Canyon. We only spent one night, our anniversary. Loved it. The only drawback for me, I am a late riser, was the breakfast was served from 8 to 9. Not really enough time for me personally. We only saw the people that ran LaBelle for breakfast, as you let yourself in the side door. You pick up your key in a birdhouse near the side door. So there is no real check-in. We were lucky that another couple came at the same time, had been there before and knew about the birdhouse. I would go back again.
- wynnie (10/5): Charming bed and breakfast - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home. Delicious food.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice, quiet, clean location. Excellent breakfasts; single-cup coffee & tea servings available full time.
- Kathy (8/5): Nice B & B, but no welcome from the innkeeper. - Clean, peaceful place. Well appointed. However breakfast was very below par.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Charming B&B - Great location, easy walk to shops and restaurants . Short drive to PA Grand Canyon. Breakfast was fair, but little variety. Owners personable and helpful with advice about the area.
- Thomas (10/5): GREAT B & B - An amazingly clean, updated and well furnished place; we were impressed with how Jessie made us feel comfortable. We will stay there when we return.
- Tim (10/5): Very close to downtown and knowledgeable staff - Very clean. He helped us in our days trips around the area
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - With in walking distance to downtown. The people at the b&b were helpful and friendly. Can not wait to see them in the near future.
- Terrance (10/5): A Quaint getaway - The owners took the B&B over from their Grandmother. They bring an air of friendliness and comfort and it's an environment where you can make new friends or be secluded if you want. Both opportunities are available
- Kyle (10/5): Great sleep, great breakfast - Great sleep, beautiful room, beautiful town, good breakfast - but you get what yu pay for
