Guest Reviews
- Rene_004 (8/5): Huge apartment hotel next to mosque - Well located next to the biggest mosque
We had the bigger apartment which had a big living room and coach area, separate bedroom and bathroom with shower
Nice balcony
Cons:
As it is close to the mosque you will hear the prayers especially during Ramadan but this is part the experience
Bathroom feels a bit outdated
- peterjI5223RI (8/5): Pleasant hotel near mosque. - Good location near the Mosque. Large clean, room with reasonable shower. Pretty good resto with lots of choices and good morning buffet with pastries, fruit, coffee [machine], bread and salads.
Staff very helpful.
Main issue was the noise. On a side road but this was quite quiet; noise was from inside the hotel. Regular slamming of doors from 9pm to 4pm in the morning.
- bsigur122401 (10/5): Good destination in Casablanca - The hotel is located just next to the Hassan II mosque and the nice beach promenade. The staff is very helpful and nice and the rooms are large and comfortable. The cleaning staff is doing an excellent job - not least Hanane who took care of my room.
- daveashuk (6/5): Handy for the Grand Mosque - Situated only a 5 minute walk to the Hassan 11 Mosque and corniche, the room we had was large, clean and equipped with a kitchenette with 2 sets of cutlery/plates/pans, large lounge, good WI-FI, kettle with tea+coffee and TV. There were 4 free bottles of water supplied. The hotel is a bit noisy for sleeping due to being on a main road and there is a small lift to the other floors. We had a buffet breakfast and evening meal, choice was quite limited and we had to ask for cutlery/ food/drink that had not been replenished. Didn’t use any of the amenities. I was booked in by our trip organisers, but believe the rate is quite reasonable.
- P7286NXahmada (6/5): Poor service and furniture - Rooms old furniture
Quality not really good
Service poor
Breakfast not even good
Not that area as a hotel
- sulaimaans2026 (10/5): Hamza Is A Star - Hamza was a star and highly professional, whose friendly manner immediately made me feel welcome.
The Friday couscous was the most delicious I’ve ever eaten - and I’ve been coming to Casablanca for 7 years.
Hamza, because of you I will be coming here every Friday.
Many many thanks my friend.
- sagarikamelkote (6/5): Great location but not much else - The hotel's location is the biggest plus point. Other than that, there are lots of things that need improvement. Rooms are large sized and have a microwave and induction stove- nice touch. Bathroom are by far, the worst in terms of design - doors that block the main door to the room when opened, shower doors that open outwards! Breakfast is poor - there was a good sized spread but it looked carelessly put together and nothing seemed fresh and appetising - have seen better in Morocco's riads. The staff in the breakfast is surly and unwelcoming. The chef making eggs, came and dumped the omlette on my table like he was doing me a favour. Needs improvement on all fronts if the hotel wants to be listed as a "tourist preferred" hotel.
- MounirChaab (6/5): Nice hotel but the service can be better... - Melliber Hotel is on a very good location. But they need to do more about the service. The breakfast is very simpel. Often, the Moroccan tea runs out and they won't refill it until you ask. Expect a long wait for dinner, as I understand there's a staff shortage. Personally, I found the hotel chaotic, even though it looks beautiful.
- rmassa490837 (10/5): Perfect Location, amazing staff - i had a beautiful calm stay, the Location is Perfect near Hassan 2 Mosque and the Corniche and the medina and the staff were so helpful and welcoming, from Reception Especially Hamza, and the Housekeeping especially Wafaa and the rest of the team..
- soulaimenm11 (2/5): Experience - The service was good but the seperation between the rooms is bad I can easily listen the people on the next room what they talked, The clean team talking behind to my door with high voice without respect, the room above my room when the move something the noise cames to me and it’s something terrible. I didin’t feel comfortable
- billingshope (10/5): Great location, comfortable - Convenient location and quiet, with helpful front desk staff and a pleasant eatery and shared workspaces. Our bed and room were spacious with a good tv and wifi. We didn’t expect a kitchenette, but it was handy, as was the kettle and tea/coffee. The microwave and cooktop were broken. The website says there’s a bar, but be aware there is no alcohol (which is normal for Morocco). There was also no smoking, which we appreciated.
- anncK7544CH (8/5): Good service and accomadation - The location and service of the Mellibur Hotel was very good and we appreciated the very plentiful breakfast. The room (Gold Suite) was old and worn and needed updating but it was clean. Staff was accomadating and polite.
- emehbo124318 (8/5): Excellent location. Kind staff. - Well appointed. Spacious. Excellent beds & bedding. Excellent location: a short walk to Corniche & King Hassan II mosque & Medina. A bit noisy at night with dogs barking & traffic.
- djedm (8/5): First Morrocan hotel experience, - This hotels bathroom was a 2/5 but the room its self was lovely, generous seating area, a lovely deck area. Surprise the first morning in Morocco when the call to pray shattered the silence.
- V2885JXkevinh (2/5): Avoid at all costs . Severe electrical dangers - Do not go her for any reason at all. Look at the pictures. We're in the Melliber hotel in Casablanca Morocco. Its unsafe and an electrocution waiting to happen.
The shower head was pointed up at the light right above it. As soon as the light and the shower were both on there is a high probability of electrocution.
Look at the pictures. Blow them up.
- sarsla554851 (10/5): Amazing hotel - Best location, very clean, amazing breakfast. We satisfied during our stay. Stayed 3 different cities in Morocco but here is the best.
- bandersen2025 (10/5): Melliber Hotel stay - A truly wonderful place to stay with luxury-level rooms, amazing breakfast and food options, and, last but not least, outstanding staff who consistently exceeded our expectations in every aspect!
- ptucci772822 (8/5): Busy hotel - Checking a bit chaotic with groups checking in. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. My only suggestion would be to put the shower stall in the bathroom instead of a separate space, but the shower as it was, was enormous!!
Breakfast buffet was adequate, omelette station made cook to order eggs. Focus seemed to be on buffet for conference goers, more choices and variety for them in separate buffet space.
- jamey665 (2/5): Terrible Customer Service - Our room was extremely hot and we had to complain multiple times to front desk to do anything about it. HICHAM was extremely rude and argued with us. Terrible person, will never stay here again. We had a baby with us and felt extremely unsatisfied with the booking. Food is terrible and also no provided towels.
- Felix_FeFe (8/5): Perfect location - Very close to mosque where you can visit twice a day in daytime and night for photo taking.
A kitchenette where you can prepare simple meal. But don’t expect to cook a proper dinner. Eating utensil is not enough (no bowls even!).
- Claudio (6/5): - Centrally located, just minutes away from Hassan II Mosque. Great staff. Small continental breakfast provided to get your day started.
- Mohamed (10/5): - Awesome
- Ayoub (10/5): - Great customer services! Highly recommended 👌
- Timothy (6/5): - Great location. Somewhat stingy staff. Flexible with check in time. A/C in our room did not work reliably.
- Iky786 (10/5): Amazing Location and View - The location was amazing, the hotel was very nice, clean and the service was great. The rooms either the view of the mosque are amazing especially with balcony, everything is nearby and walking distance from the beach to places to eat, the famous Rick's Cafe and the Mall.
- Ayoub (10/5): - Highly recommended! Worth every penny 👌
- aquarian_India (2/5): Pathetic Hotel and Rude Staff - I have not seen such a rude staff anywhere, they were not ready to listen to our request and were not humble at all. I requested to serve us some potato fires for which they said we cannot serve even at an additional cost. And this is even after mentioning in my booking that we are vegetarians and we would like to have some vegetarian options in breakfast. After 10 minuets of argument I did say that I will put it in the review and the staff at reception had a 'give a damn' attitude. Breakfast had a very limited options even otherwise and almost just bread for us (vegetarians). They were not ready to help us in any way. The hotel is very old and dark. The rooms had a very old furniture and minimal lighting, very dark. It was giving us the sad feeling. No one to help you with the luggage. The room had an access to terrace where all the outdoor units of AC were kept and it had a tall boundary wall so basically no view. You could only see the sky but nothing else. Entry to the hotels is through a small door in the side road. Its close to mosque though (walkable). But given the attitude of staff and the room decor and comfort I will never recommend this hotel to anyone not even when you are on a budget.
- sramir989984 (6/5): I would not stay there again - The only good thing about it is its location,
The staff is indifferent, unfriendly, and not helpful. It's a hit for executives, travelers, and salespeople. Never for tourists who travel to explore and explore.
The breakfast is terrible, it looks unhealthy. Little variety.
- Akel (10/5): - My family and I stayed at this hotel during our stay at Casablanca. We enjoyed the service, the amenities, and the breakfast provided to us. All of the workers were very nice and professional. We enjoyed that it was close to the Hassan II Mosque and the beach. Overall, we recommend this hotel.
- Zakia (8/5): - Good service overall. Walking distance to
- MsJoyeChan (10/5): Nice Location - Nice Location, the hotel is just 2 minutes walkable distance from the mosque. Room is spacious and good to have a balcony. The staff is good.
- Abdou Fatah (10/5): - Hamza was excellent 👌
- christian (10/5): - Great location, helpful staff, comfortable room. Staff gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area, and advice on how much things should cost. I.e taxi.
I would recommend this place.
- Tour66915240519 (6/5): Good location, but no matching service or facility. - The location and the view is good.
However, the facilities in the room are not satisfying. A power socket in the room is not working, and the hairdryer doesn't work at all. The working power socket also looks as if it is going to fall down. The living room space is huge with electric stoves, which is not that necessary, but the washroom is too tiny. You can hit the wall twice if you want to turn around in the shower room!
Another problem is breakfast service. Everything is cold and not fresh, apart from the orange juice. I can't find a single table which has no missing condiments or tableware.
Quite disappointed.
- Grant (10/5): - Staff was very friendly, rooms were large and had good amenities
- Yussuf Isack (6/5): - The towels were very old and should be replaced. I also ordered pizza from the hotel restaurant, but it wasn’t cooked properly—something just didn’t taste right.
- Maulin (8/5): - The hotel was very close to Hassan II mosque. The room was a good size and had a small kitchen, which I was not expecting. The property was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- _K7714IH (10/5): Comfortable apart-hotel with a view - A good city aparthotel with a great location — our window had a view of Hassan II Mosque and the sea. The Medina, Mohammed V Square, and Marina Mall are all within walking distance.
We were checked in two hours early for free. The room was clean and had everything we needed: a fridge, microwave, dishes, and cutlery. Also, there was soap, shampoo, shower gel, a bottle of water, tea, and coffee.
Breakfast was a buffet. The choice was small, but everything important was there: eggs, bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, and coffee. There is also a restaurant at the hotel where you can order food during the day.
The staff were friendly and helpful. When the kettle broke, they brought a new one in five minutes. A great place to stay in Casablanca, especially if you want to be close to the main attraction.
- Mohammed (10/5): - Great service, wonderful location by the mosque
- Susanna (10/5): - Great service and our balcony has a partial view of the Hassan Mosque. Few minutes walk to Hassan Mosque.
- Alaa Aldien (8/5): - Very good hotel except the housekeeping when they are cleaning the other rooms especially in the floor above is very noisy in the morning.
- 352ians (8/5): Convenient hotel - Conveniently located for the Mosque Hassan II. Good size room, had a kettle and a coffee machine in the room, which is a bonus in Morocco. Close to the famous Rick's Cafe, 15 min walk. English speaking reception staff, helpful. Good for a visit to Casablanca
- Andrew (8/5): - Very close to the mosque, mall and marina. Had a nice view of the mosque from the balcony. The hotel accepts US dollars and can exchange for duhrams if the currency exchange office is closed. Hotel may not be responsive to expedia messages but staff members are nice. Room was pretty spacious and relatively clean.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great, friendly location next to Hassan II mosque - As a new revert, I was excited to be in Casablanca near the Hasan II mosque for the last night of Ramadan. This hotel did not disappoint - it was a block from the mosque, and I had a beautiful view of the minaret from my fifth floor room. The service was kind and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast (for me, suhoor delivered to my room!) was delicious. It was a memorable stay. Shokran!
- Colin (8/5): - Breakfast is good, other food services are not. The Saturday evening buffet was poor.
- Michael (8/5): - The hotel is quite conveniently close to the Hassan II mosque. Staff was very friendly and courteous. It’s very well maintained and clean.
- Genette M (8/5): Casablanca - Very nice
- Dawngee62 (10/5): Great City Stay - A fantastic place to stay right next to the Hassan II mosque, great room, easy to walk to other attractions. Helpful staff.
- Moufida (10/5): - Good , I recommend this place
There’s always a window to grow and make things better over all satisfied
Thank you Guys !!
- Mohammad (10/5): - Very nice stay. Staff were super helpful and polite. Would recommend a stay here 👍
- Mohammad (10/5): - We booked Silver suite. The staff was very helpful and hospitality is worth mentioning.
The room was clean with all the basic necessities including fridge, microwave, hob for cooking and a little sink in the kitchen with some drawers and cutlery inside.
The view was mesmerising facing the Biggest mosque in Africa Hassan 2.
Hammam and spa facilities were available, hands down THE BEST hammam!!
The breakfast was included and first class service, very impressed and spoilt for choice with soo many options to choose from yum yum!!
Train station was only 15 mins away and bus stop 2 mins. We travelled to marrakesh and Rabat using that train station, we walked to the train station which only took us 15 mins.
Overall great experience and higly highly recommend!
- Amina (2/5): - Not the room I requested, no option to upgrade. The hotel was noisy, guest next door shouting all night. Staff not helpful at all. I won’t be returning.
- Jack (10/5): - Very close to the mosque and ocean side. Great place and easy introduction to Morocco on our first night. Breakfast was good and had a lot of options.
- lauraj578 (10/5): Great location in Casablanca - The rooms were large - though the bathroom was small. All the staff were helpful and kind. The staff at reception especially so as they spent extra time making sure we had a good stay. Reasonable price and good food in the restaurant.
- Gail (8/5): - The staff were wonderful! Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The restaurant was a limited menu but tasty, as well as the breakfast and prices were good. The mosque is very close so call to prayer is heard in the hotel, which didnt bother us but may bother some people. The building itself and the room were so-so.
- infoM6484DL (10/5): Excellent location, service and accommodation - Excellent location, professional and attentive staff, parking included, amazing view. We had a dinner at hotel restaurant, everything was super tasty. The service was fast, the restaurant is open until late. The breakfast was very rich, there was also a chef who was making omelets. Our room was very spacious appartment, located on the floor 7, with the wiew towards the Atlantic ocean and the Hassan II Mosque. I wish we could enjoy couple more days at Melliber. We will definitely be back again at this amazing hotel. It's highly recommended while in Casablanca. It's also near of old Medina,Rick's Cafe, and Marina shopping center, about 20 min. Walking. The taxi is not expensive in the city. About 20 Dirham to Medina.
- Robert (10/5): - Awesome view of the Hassan II mosque from our room. Front desk service was great. Room fairly large, clean. Great amenities.
- ROBERT (8/5): - Friendly staff. Near the Mosque.
- Charles (10/5): - I hate their parking garage 😡 but next to the Mosque a few steps from the hotel was parking and safe and very easy on the pocketbook. 🤑 overall I loved the hotel and services
- TallTourist (4/5): Nice location, tatty hotel - I chose this hotel for its close proximity to the Hassan II Mosque. Our suite was on the seventh floor and there was a good view of the city from the balcony. The housekeeping was completed to a high standard and we found the cleaners to be pleasant and efficient. The room itself was in urgent need of decorating and had multiple faults.
The safe didn’t work, the wardrobe was poor quality and falling apart, there were no rails or hooks for the towels, the showerhead was broken, the sealant around the sink was missing, the coffee maker leaked, the kitchenette had no utensils, crockery, or pans, and the downstairs staff were indifferent and unhelpful. We won’t stay again.
- 2025Carolina (10/5): Marvelous - The services is incredible, the people are so kind. The room is beautiful and big. Everything is 10/10. Recommend.
- John (10/5): - Arrived a few hours early after a long flight Was able to check in early for small fee. They also upgraded my room for free. Had a balcony, and a great view of the mosque.
- Anouar (8/5): - Great hotel and no complaints at all. Best customer service ever. I highly recommend this hotel. Will be back soon.
- Mohamad (10/5): - Great apart hotel, well located next to many attractions with private parking and nice breakfast in the morning, the staff were very courteous and helpful.
- Hamidul (2/5): - Lier, terible and service wasn’t good
- Kawtar (4/5): - The only good thing the area
- Rajesh (10/5): - Great location and amazing huge sized room
- Saika (8/5): - First and foremost, for a 4-star hotel, this is the first time I heard of a hotel not having towel upon check-in. Second, they are very poor with responding to emails; we’ve had to send multiple emails in order to receive a simple yes or no answer (e.g. airport pick and drop-off).
Ramadan at front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating as he was able to give us an early check-in which we’re thankful for. He was also very resourceful and gave us some names of local restaurants upon asking.
However, we were disappointed with the response we received from a woman at the reception desk (didn’t get her name) when we called and asked for towels. Initially she stated she would have someone bring us some towels and then 30mins passed so we called again at 2:54pm. Her rude response was “well check-in time is at 3pm so you’re early, you just have to wait.” If this was indeed the case, why didn’t she inform us of this when we called initially?! Wish I would’ve received her name; very unprofessional and this is coming from someone who travels quite a bit!
- Madeline (6/5): - Overall, this was an above average hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond in regards to their customers safety (ride shares are not a thing in Casablanca, so everything is by taxi.), which being a blonde hair and blue eyed American, I was very grateful for. The room was spacious and clean. Fresh dessert (local cookies) were brought to the room daily. I will say, this area is less touristy than if you were to stay at the Marriott (Marriott is about 1.5 miles away by foot.), but I appreciated not being a mainstream tourist.
- Lloyd Gerard (8/5): - Staff were friendly & helpful. I chosen the hotel as it was near the Corniche, the Medina, Hassan II Mosque and transport links.
- CHEN (10/5): - Great location
- Aasiya (6/5): - Good room however needs updating. Very limited options in breakfast. Positive was that it was right round the corner from Hassan ll mosque.
- Vieille (6/5): - Client service were great. They are very friendly and always available to help you. My ropm eas vey clean, and well decorated. I only have to complain about the water pressure in the shower. I read reviews about, and I thought it was not that bad… but it is bad, specially if you want to take a hot shower you will get only some drops of water.
- Santiago (10/5): - Great hotel located to walking distance to Mohamed hassam V mesquita . Parking included . Breakfast very good .
- Narges (10/5): - I really liked how the property manager was very kind and accommodating.
- Bibi (10/5): - Excellent staff
- Hadi (10/5): - Nice and clean room.
- Nezha (2/5): - It was honestly terrible, i booked a silver superior but i didn't get what I booked, the studio was tiny, poor equipment. The kitchen was just a decoration. There was nothing in it. When I asked for a pan, they brought me a scratched one. I asked them to change it, they ended up telling me that they were sorry to have nothing. I complained but they didn't seem to care. I came back to this Hotel for the mosque but i would never come again cause of the lack of professionalism. In the bathroom, they didn't have enough Shampoo. It was Sad to pay for such a bad service!
- Decio (6/5): - Is a old hotel, with in a good condition, mantained regularly, bathroom small but the shower very small I'm shure a bigger people cannot take a shower on that shower. outside is in a beautifull place in the best part of the city
- Mohammed (10/5): - Excellent staff
- Dorit-Lynn (10/5): - My stay at Melliber was amazing! Mister Ramdam was always available when needed and helped me book a beautiful tour to Chefchaouen also known as the blue city before my stay there so when I arrived everything was set and ready to roll! The staff there everyone is nice ans helpful and I had access to a morning buffet everyday that has both local and occidental breakfast. There is also a restaurant there that serves everything including Tajine and other local food. Room service is available until 11:00pm. My room was clean and everything worked! when I came at 2:00am for my check-in I had asked if it would be possible to have a view on the Mosque and they made it possible! Honestly as a solo black female traveler, I always felt safe! It’s close by a lot of places! I highly recommend!
- Othmane (6/5): - Accommodate us for last minute booking
- Geoffrey (8/5): - We ate in the restaurant it was ok. Close to the big mosque.
- saad (10/5): - It was an amazing experince. We spent one night there. The staff was too freindly and helped us regarding the taxi fare and regarding places to watch. You can aslo keep your luggage there for some extra fees there if you are leaving later than your stay at the hotel.
- Andrew (8/5): - Close location to the mosque
- Michael (10/5): Great experience and service - Wonderful staff that was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Strange Sound in Room - Strange squeaky sound heard throughout, even at night, affecting sleep. Otherwise, the room is spacious, have a good view of the mosque, it is still a good stay.
- Ryan (2/5): - Shower would not close properly and would leak all over the floor. Heating and cooling in the room did not do anything at all. Floor was dirty and would track dirt off the floors into the bed even though we hadn't tracked any dirt into the room as the floor were already dirty. We ended up wanting to leave a day early as Casablanca and this hotel were not nice and was told by the receptionist that it should be a problem but it just had to come from Expedia. Contacted Expedia and they tried reaching out to the hotel which they couldn't get a hold of them and then when I went and talked to reception again the next day it was too late to change our checkout time and that they would not refund me the one day. I would highly recommend staying away from this hotel and also Casablanca as a city.
- kamal (10/5): - Great value !!
- EUDALMI (8/5): - Close to the ocean, mesquite and marina mall
- Janet (8/5): Good location - The hotel is in good location, very convenient to the visiting points. Only the bathroom is too small and the shower door can’t close completely
- Verified traveler (6/5): Gets the job done - If you're looking for a spacious room to anchor yourself in the Casablanca area, this is not a bad choice. Check in was fast and professional. I wouldn't describe the staff as overall friendly- no smiles, monotone responses if you asked questions. It is right next to the Hassan II mosque and there are ample food options within walking distance. The restaurant on site is pleasant. Their site mentions about a bar with drink options- outside of soft drinks and coffee, there were 3 "cocktail" drinks to choose from, two being detox juices. Before arriving, I had high expectations because they sent out a survey asking about preferences, I took the time to fill out all the requested information but when I arrived, none of that was acknowledged so felt like I wasted my time. While the rooms are spacious, they are clearly in need of TLC. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The rest of the furniture in the room was visibly worn. The bathroom was not the cleanest looking. Lot of buildup in the sick and shower areas. The shower door didn't close causing water to leak out and the shower head was jammed. Towels also looked overused and worn. We opted to use our own towels. Breakfast was a limited continental selection. There was an omelet station but the time we asked for an omelette, the staff member seemed annoyed and gave us a very messy looking pile of eggs. If you just need a space to crash and have low expectations, it's a decent value.

- Bassim (10/5): - The price and quality of the room was very good.
- maria (6/5): - I only stayed there for a layover, very noisey
- Marcelo (8/5): Good! - The hotel was really good. I really enjoyed the breakfast. I wish the blackout curtains were better. It was bright in the morning.
The region is good too. I was able to everywhere walking.
Just prepare that sound coming from the mosque in the morning is very loud.
- Mahomed (4/5): Great location, spacious room- poor service - The hotel is conveniently situated and the rooms are spacious. The kitchenette is a great help. However, the service is poor. We didn’t have towels on the days we were there and had to request for them a few times. The geyser didn’t heat up and toilet didn’t flush in one of our rooms and the staff did not have an approachable manner when dealing with the situation. There’s always a shortage of dishes and cutlery in the breakfast room.
