Guest Reviews
- Mary (10/5): - This is a cute place! I was expecting the rooms to be a bit smaller but they had plenty of space. Melissa checked us in and she was friendly and thoughtful. It suited our needs perfectly on a gorgeous October weekend. We willreturn.
- Michael (10/5): - The rooms are a little aged, but they were clean , comfortably beds and staff was outstanding. If we ever need a room in that area we’d stay there.
- Pennie (8/5): Nice stay. Photos of property aren't current. - Property is run down and the rooms need paint.
- TAMARA (10/5): - It's a clean place The bed is comfortable it's quiet You park right in front of your room.
- MIchael (8/5): - It is an old fashioned motel on the side of a US Highway. It is remote and despite being right off the road relatively quiet. It was a base to explore the area.
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice area
- Selena (4/5): - Room 3 mold covering ceiling, walls and door of bathroom. You could smell it when you walked into the room. Hole in wall behind entry door. Sent property Manager picture as soon as i checked in. Response was that they hadn't gotten to it bc there is only 2 of them that work there. Same Response received when I had to walk mydirty towels to office to change out for clean ones, there's only 2 of us that work here.
NOT worth what we paid but knew there was no cancelation or refund so had to make the best of the situation for 2 nights.
- Jon (8/5): What was expected for what was paid and advertised - Office staff was easy going and friendly. Stayed with my wife and two kids, with a small family dog. The office staff, Melissa and her husband, were really accommodating and had the room ready a little early. The room was a little over a hundred dollars a night, we got what we paid for. Nothing bad to say really.
- Dawn (10/5): - Absolutely loved this motel! The lady Melissa was super helpful & exceptionally friendly. She made you feel at home. We will be back on our next getaway. Highly recommend this motel.
- Suzie (4/5): Disappointing Experience-would not recommend - I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience at Chatuge Mountain Inn. From the moment we arrived, the stay was disappointing. The lobby had a strong smell of smoke, which was off-putting. The owner was unable to locate our reservation, despite the fact that it had been made in advance. Even after copying my driver’s license, she repeatedly called me by the wrong name and handed me a receipt with that incorrect name handwritten on it with inaccurate reservation details.
The condition of the room was equally concerning. It smelled of mildew, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, and there was visible graffiti on the headboards. It gave the impression that the room had not been properly maintained or cleaned in quite some time.
- Hector (10/5): - Todo muy limpio y tranquilo....
- EDWINA (10/5): - It was close to where I was going to see my niece and the room was clean
- Glenda (6/5): Old school but clean motel - Very old school check-in process probably due to the Wifi issues in that area. Received a hand printed statement. They charge a 3% processing fee for credit card transactions which is a first for any place I have ever been to. We stayed for 3 nights, I don't carry that much cash on me.
Inn is old but clean. Bed was comfy and TV worked. Our hairdryer did not work but not a big deal. Staff (who lives on the premises) are very nice...family owned.
Was close enough to the venue (Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds) and to the lake.
Nothing fancy and we felt safe.
- Margie (4/5): - Room not cleaned properly. Staff was rude and/or not properly trained in the receiving of guests booked through Hotels.com.
- Lorrie (6/5): Old Motel - It was a very old hotel maybe 25 rooms. There is absolutely nothing in the area. The room was clean enough and the bedding was adequate. A little over priced considering the condition. I will probably stay there again if i return to the area.
- Laura (6/5): - This hotel was conveniently located, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Could use some updates, but the room has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, making our short stay comfortable.
- Teresa (8/5): - The motel was very clean and had all the accommodations I needed for the week. Melissa was very nice and very informative. It was convenient and easy to get to ask the places I needed to be. I would stay again.
- William (6/5): - Expected cleanliness/appearance for the price
- Suzanne (10/5): Hayesville Little Motel - It’s a basic motel but was very well kept and clean.
- Tena (8/5): - Quiet and very relaxing
- frank (2/5): - The staff at this facility should be terminated. Not at all helpful in fixing a. Issue with the reservation system, repeated the exact response either five or six times and refused to honor the pay at faciliity method of reservation. Then made a big point of saying , "its clearly all your fault and you are rude for asking me to stop repeating myself ad nauseum.
Vert unfortunate, seems like it could be a tolerable spot in a nice area.
- Monica (10/5): - This is an older Mom & Pop place. The staff are polite. The room was clean. Melissa is super nice and helpful with information about the area. Nice view across the road. Nice, clean and great price for having a clean place to sleep and utilize in between outgoings. We were there to explore and see the colorful scenery of the mountains. It was the perfect place for us. It is safe with many cameras. We were riding a motorcycle and riding during the day. We had no worries about the safety of our bike when we weren’t there and overnight. We will definitely be going back to this little gem.
- MaryAnn (8/5): - Owners are super sweet and helpful.
Hotel is simple, clean, and very affordable.
If you are looking for fancy, look elsewhere.
Convenient location, close to see attractions in the smoky mountains, north Georgia, etc.
Perfect to spend the weekend. My only issue is the beds were not comfortable. No issues for children, but my husband and I did not sleep well. Overall, we loved the family business and hospitality. But it may be time to invest in new mattresses.
- Nicole (10/5): - It was quiet and the owners were kind
- Vanessa (8/5): - Last minute trip. Cheap, convenient location.
- Ronny (10/5): - Efficient check in and info about the area very friendly desk person.
- Roscoe (8/5): - For an elder hotel it is kept up good. Very clean. Staff was professional and friendly. Really liked 4 pillows on the beds. Gave us a choice of soft or firm. Local paper to read in the room as well as local restaurants and places of interest nearby. They put some extra thought in for the guest. Parking at the door, so big plus for bikers.
- Wesley (8/5): Qualitylodgixx - Our stay was everything we wanted it to be. the room waslarge, clean and had everything we wantedin a room. king-size bed, microwave, refrigerator, coffee naker (and coffee). And everything in the room slept well. the shower worked well.
- Raymond (2/5): Not very good customer service - We had to leave 2 days early snd was told by the manager that there was no problem, when we checked out we were told no refunds because we booked though hotel's.com, they insisted that we pay cash when we arrived, i guess not a smart move
- Cathy (10/5): Good stay in a little mom and pop - Check in was good.Mekissa(I think I remembered her name right) was great. She was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Everyone we met there was as nice as they could be. The rooms need updating, but that doesn't take away their charm. They were clean and comfortable. It was quiet there, and we didn't have any problems.
- Diane (6/5): - This was mom and Pop Motel, where the family lives in the middle behind the front desk. It smells like cigarettes and dog when you walk in. You could park in front of your motel room which is a plus. The room smelled bit damp and musty, but it was clean. The beds were hard and could use some updating with the mattresses. I would not say this motel is worth over 100 a night though. The parking lot is very small, so do not come with any kind of trailer and try to get through. It does have a mini fridge and microwave at least
- CHARLEY (10/5): - Quaint little Motor Inn. On a major highway
. Very clean and comfortable. Very near festival we attended in Hayesville. GA
Staff was courteous and helpful with assundry items during visit to the Festival.. Thanks again . For great servive..
- Colleen (6/5): - I like that this property is pet friendly. The mattresses need updating.
- Tracy Renee (6/5): - The room was clean & spacious but dated. Need a curve shower rod to make taking a shower easier, but did have great water pressure. Over all a decent place for the money.
- Julie (10/5): - Good
- Ron (10/5): Great little mom and pop motel - If you're looking for fancy with pool and spa, this is not it. This is a clean, comfortable, basic room. Nice staff. Mom and pop type motel. Large room with tv. Firm comfortable bed. Clean bathroom and shower. We are booking this again in August for a concert in Hiawasse Ga less than 20 minutes away. Easy to get to and a couple of minutes outside Haysville NC. Excellent stay.
- Diana (10/5): - The desk staff, Melissa, was very thorough and well organized with detailed instructions. The place was charming with little sweet touches everywhere. We had a very pleasant stay and will be returning.
- Ami (6/5): - Inexpensive and clean motel that was just the ticket for our overnight before a hike on that Appalachian Trail.
- Amy (10/5): - The owner of the inn was very nice and the room was a great location and great price for the night stay.
- Juan (2/5): - The owner was very nice but the need to work on cleaning and maintaining the rooms. Mold in bathroom, everything very old, heater blowing dust. we paid $127 for a night, for less there are better options in hotels.
- Dwight (10/5): - I would stay again.
- Jorge (10/5): - Very good room and everything worked fine, hot water, airxond, cable, staff very friendly
- Cherryl (10/5): - Super cute Inn. Needs some updates but it was clean and comfortable. Melissa was very friendly and extremely helpful. Would stay again!
- Grady (10/5): - Quite
- David (8/5): - This is an old roadside motel but is well staffed, very clean, had plenty of hot water in the shower and had a few extra touches that made it comfortable. Road noise is a problem but if you leave the fan running in the heat and air unit, it blocks it and made for some good sleep.
- Rodney (10/5): - The motel was very clean and neat.I thought for the price it was an excellent deal.would gladly recommend to others.
- Teri (10/5): - Easy access to fairgrounds
- Michael (10/5): - Love this place! Clean rooms and super friendly owner.
- John (10/5): - Very clean.
- Lawrence (10/5): Great stay for a great price - Great stay for us because it was very close to the lake we were fishing at.
- preston (10/5): - The Motel was nice and quiet with great views. The Motel was clean and the staff was very friendly.
- Deborah (8/5): Weekend trip - Came for the Trace Adkins Concert stayed oe night. Hotel was Clean & Quiet., Staff was Friendly. Will consider staying at this location in the future.
- Larry (10/5): - Very nice and clean
- Joan (10/5): Good stay - Host manager was friendly and accommodating. Felt safe and the stay was quiet.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Beautiful peaceful location! Double bed room was spacious, great satellite tv & Wi-Fi service. Bathroom very small but all was well taken care of & clean. My only complaint here is the mattress/box springs could use replacing; while comfortable, very squeaky upon any movement & disturbing to this light sleeper. I would still definitely recommend this location for your stay. It has great rates and no extra property charge fees like most other hotels in that area.
- Eileen D (10/5): - Excellent customer service and fair price Condition of room was great
- MARY (4/5): - The beds in room 5 were the worst we've ever slept on. The springs creaked loudly every time we moved. I'm recovering from hip replacement surgery, this bed made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. I woke up with a sore back and sore hip.
- michael (2/5): - Not as described by any means. No hot water owner very rude
- Karen (6/5): - We wanted to stay close to Hayesville. Property looked quaint online. Once we got there is was ok. There is an upcharge for paying with credit or debit card. The room was clean but the air conditioner was not working well enough and the room was very humid. The shower never got hot water, not even warm. The best it could do was cool. Would not recommend.
- Robin (2/5): Double charged - There was hair in the bathtub drain. Bathtub didn’t work, I had to shove a Walmart bag in the drain to hold water in. They charged me twice for a one night stay. I don’t usually write bad reviews..ever. But when I’m charged $272 for a one night stay in a flea bag motel, that gets a review.
- Mary (2/5): - Arrived and was informed that they were all booked and we did not have a room. Pretty apparent they gave our room away since she did have my name in her system. She blamed it on Expedia. Definitely suggest calling the hotels directly to confirm your reservation.
- John (10/5): - Out of the way. Fair pricing. Clean and neat. Great tor a quiet gettaway.
- Debbie (10/5): Our Stay - Nice people running the motel.
The room was clean, thebed was comfortable.
- Vinayak (8/5): Good Experience - Good experience. The property manager was very helpful.
- George (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing stay. - Comfortable little Inn close to Hiawassee.
Melissa and Shawn (I think that was her husbands name) were excellent. Very accommodating. I plan on staying there again in June.
- Marcia (10/5): - Chatuge Mountain Inn was the perfect place for us & our fur-babies to explore Lake Chatuge. The staff were nice, the room was large and clean, and the location was great for us to explore the area.
- Michael (10/5): - The manager/owner was so nice. Not a fancy place but comfortable in a nice area. Would definitely stay here again.
- Steff (2/5): - The office had a very horrible smell, and the parson managing the property was vary rude too.
- Christina (10/5): - This was exactly what I was looking for.
- John (10/5): - The Inn is quite convenient for my business trip to Hayesville; manager was charming and very helpful. She'd even turned the lights and the heat on for me!
- Tim (10/5): - Owners are down to Earth good folks. I plan to stay there in the future when passing through too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Awesome - This was so much better than we expected. Only issue was a tiny ant in the shower.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Needs updating - Comfortable enough room, service was fine. There was no breakfast as advertised.
- Rozetta (8/5): A place to stay. - Basically clean and beds actually comfortable. Nothing fancy. Does need some up keep.
- Theresa (8/5): Girls trip - The only downfall was that The gps led us to a residential home and it was very dark when we arrived and had to call 911 to lead us to our destination… once there it was a good experience.. I would definitely stay there again! It was an older place but the manager was sweet and accommodating. sharing pictures of the view!
- Warren (10/5): - Had a great stay. Clean room with a great view.
- Renee (10/5): - The place was clean and quiet
- Carissa (10/5): - Very clean! Friendly staff!
- Debra (10/5): - Welcoming check-in. Room had all the basics for us. I've stayed in much more expensive hotels and was no more comfortable than this one. Good local owned motel.
- Christy (6/5): - Do not depend on GPS to get you to this location. The hotel was quiet and clean, however, they truly need to invest in new beds. The bedding was awful ~ so uncomfortable. Sounded like you were moving around in a box. Would not stay again until they replaced their beds with new!!
- tom (6/5): - Didn’t like were your dogs can’t sleep in the bed with you
- Kirsty (10/5): - It was a good stay. clean room\
- Angela (8/5): - Very clean
- John (8/5): Enjoyed - We greatly enjoyed our stay there. It was small and peaceful, clean and comfortable. It was nice to not have a lot of noise going on in the evenings.
We would stay there again if we attend another concert.
- Janet (10/5): Great place for an overnight trip. - We only stayed for one night, but everything was fine. The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly.
- Lynn (8/5): - The only problem we had was the air conditioning/heating unit with no thermostat. No parking available when we came back from dinner. Had to park in the dirt. Staff was friendly. Room was very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great weekend stay in the mountains - We chose the Inn because of the location. So glad we did! The staff were so friendly, check-in a snap, and they let us use their bbq grill even.
Nice hot shower and good wifi. Peace and quiet which is just what we wanted. Will definitely stay again!
- William (8/5): - This is a no frills location..and I mean it in a GOOD way! The room was clean...linens were clean....for what we were doing there...just sleeping..it was great! The price is less than others in the area. We are not the kind of folks who want to spend more than we need to for just a place to shower, change clothes and sleep...we have stayed here twice and will again when we attend concerts in Hiawassee!
- Janet (10/5): - Not fancy but very clean. Beds was a little firm. Would stay again
- JAMES (6/5): Disappointed - We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the floors. This place shouldn’t be classified as a motel. The majority of the rooms obviously had full time tenants. There were little small buckets with sand in them for cigarettes. The room where the ice machine was just reeked of cigarette smoke odor.
- Kraig (8/5): - Good value
- Douglas (10/5): - Close to meeting location, staff friendly and accommodated our needs. VERY good coffee!
- Bruce (8/5): - Close to mountains of North Carolina and north Georgia. The staff were friendly and helpful. Shower was hot. We did miss the continental breakfast though. We will return here when we are in the area again
- Richard (8/5): - Loved the price!. Bed was comfortable. Room was good with no frills which was fine. Overall, no complaints.
- Danielle (8/5): - The owner who welcomed me was lovely and kind. The property is in a beautiful location and it is a great deal for the price. Obviously not a fancy place but doesn't claim to be. It is clean, well run and we had a wonderful stay here and in this beautiful town.
- Jacqueline C (6/5): - Convenient
- Martin (10/5): Easy check in...Nice, Clean Room - Very nice quaint motel, clean and comfortable. Easy parking.
- James (8/5): Friendly staff & quiet place - Enjoyed our stay with a friendly staff and nice quiet hotel. We will stay here again. Satisfied with service and room.. Thank you...
- Todd (4/5): - The room had bugs and the mattress was out dated and needed to be replaced 10 years ago. And the room door needed to be worked on.
- Ellis (2/5): - I didn't get to go. I never received an email confirmation and by the time I realized it I didn't remember the name of the hotel we were supposed to stay in. Oh well live and learn
