- Anna Louisa Hernandez (8/5): Relaxing - The rooms are spacious I love that they are equipped with mini fridge and microwave with sitting area including table.
And the privacy Nothing I dislike
- Leticia (6/5): - The size was perfect The smell in the room and lots of thing damaged.

- Anna Louisa (10/5): - I love everything the location is excellent close to a wonderful shopping center and great food spots too.
- Anna Louisa (10/5): -
- Harris (3/5): - Shower wasnt working, heater kept shitting off and i had to reprogram it 4 times, tv didnt have many options and was slow
- Joe (5/5): Needs improvement - The inn had a pretty good size parking lot and the swimming pool looked nice although I didn't get in it. This is an older inn and you can tell it. They've updated the bedspreads and flooring but most everything else needs a total revamp. There are signs everywhere that they've remodeled over the years and did a lackluster job. The mattresses were the old fashioned type that were not nearly as comfortable as most hotels have now. Mattress pad was stained really bad on both beds which made me worry that I was going to have a problem with bed bugs although I didn't come across any. (Picture attached) I always check the signs of bedbugs. Nowadays you can't be too careful, but I left the light on in case they were scared of the light. I did not take a shower or bath so I don't know if the plumbing in there was working well but the bathtub had been repaired at sometime in the past and all that finish is coming off in big bubbles (pics attached)
There's nothing they could do about it, but the entrance of the hotel faces towards traffic so you get exhaust noise from louder cars and you also hear the train.
The room has laminate flooring which is becoming very common in motels, but the problem is when you walk around with your bare feet you pick up everything that's on the floor and your feet are dirty before you get in bed.
It was a fairly comfortable hotel room to be in and I had no problems with transients or anything like that
Right now it may be the best motel in Atwater but it does not compare to newer places in nearby towns. The choice is yours but it is not a place to write home about.
(I had several pics of where the room had been poorly repaired or things were rigged but I could only post 4 pics

- Cristal (10/5): - It was very cute and homey feeling to it. Dennys was in the same parling lot so you can have a meal and go to your room.staff was very friendly The beds arent as comfortable.
- Tracy (9/5): Great location - It was a very basic hotel. I appreciated we got to park right in front of our door. Room was very clean. The pillows were very flat. We had a king size bed and were given 3 small, flat pillows.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- KOU (10/5): Perfect. - The ease of checking in and out. Had people yelling around 12am. Thought there were a fight outside

- Anna Louisa (10/5): Safe haven - I don’t like I love everything it’s close to shopping centers and all kinds of restaurants that are all in walking distance a place I can relax and be at peace There’s nothing I dislike more than maybe the fact that I didn’t discover this place sooner
- Karen (8/5): It was a pleasant stay - The room was clean and fairly quiet. There is a train track that is close by but it was not bothersome. The towels were rough, thin and small. They should invest in better towels.
- Anna Louisa (10/5): Relaxing - I can’t say it enough I absolutely love staying here I get the best sleep and they are always willing to to accommodate my needs Nothing to dislike
- Anna Louisa (10/5): -
- Anja (8/5): -
- Joannee (5/5): Planes, trains & Trucks - It was clean, bed was semi comfortable. It was close to Castle Air Museum. Trains all night long. Freeway noises, trucks! Bring Ear plugs
Old building, you hear and smell everything outdoor odors definitely linger in the room. Loud toilet noises, loud shower noises, loud footsteps. Definitely won't go back. Noisy 24 hour Dennys nextdoor. Racing cars late night

- Kim (3/5): Would not stay here again due to cleanliness & quality of the room. - We did not eat breakfast, nor we were informed that there was breakfast available. The staff were friendly in checking us in and out. The location was the main reason we picked this hotel/motel. The cleanliness of the rooms, the chairs in the room looked very dirty. The towels were paper thin, and we only got two towels. For shampoo we were given one tiny little packet, and we were not given any conditioner. The pillows were pretty flat.
- Anna Louisa Hernandez (10/5): - It's my favorite place to stay 10 out of 10
- Anna Louisa Hernandez (10/5): -
- Ineke (8/5): Very basic motel, but room was clean and bed comfortable. - Convenient location
- Maria (6/5): - The place was clean, the place needs to be more modern than having burned cigarettes, comforters,it has air conditioner. The office keeps the ironin case you need one ..
- Pablo (3/5): - El baño y cortinas del shower muy sucio, no tenía plancha, klenex, shampoo, Acondicionador y los cajones sucios
- Nasser (1/5): -
- Araceli (10/5): -
- Joshua (6/5): You almost get what you pay for. - You get what you pay for in most cases, but even at the modest price the Applegate Inn fell short. It's the cheapest of everything and some of those things need to be replaced to include the shower head and bath mat, both pictured. Also, you're backed up to an expressway and across from a rail line so it's rather loud at times. I took a 'shower' and a nap then left rather than spend the night.
- Xavier (8/5): Cool little motel - Just a simple motel with friendly staff and a nice little pool. We enjoyed our stay. Dining options in the area are poor. We ended up in the best rated pizzeria on the other side of the bridge and it still didn't make the cut for our (french) taste.
- Christie (8/5): - Bed pillows are redicilous!!! So darn TINY!!! No water in the room! 1 package of coffee for the two of us!
- Satoko (6/5): Ok place for a short night stay - Clean It’s minimal. Just bed, shower / bath. Soap was too small, barely anything in shampoo pouch provided. Was not enough for all members of family
- Don (9/5): -
- Julian (10/5): - Nice place
- Randy (10/5): - Nice place to stay

- Jose j (8/5): - Management was good. Let us in before 3 o’clock and friendly.
- Joe (3/5): Disappointment in Atwater. - Nothing No shampoo or shower needs. Only 1 very small bar soap. Furnishings were very tacky. In room coffee had one packet and the creamer and sugar pack was open with the stirrer missing.
- Ana (10/5): Hundred percent recommend - easy access to a shopping center for food, drinks, and clothing Everything excellent
- Esdeyne (4/5): - Front desk gal was friendly and quick, no complaints there. Room carpet was sticky, towels were stained, toilet didn’t flush properly, and room smell was bad old and musty dirty…
- Molina (10/5): It's a bowl i will be returning for more nights. - I enjoyed the fact that even though it was in an pretty violent area the motel grounds were peaceful. Nothing it was all a wonderful experience.

- Fanghua (9/5): Superb - Pretty Convenience location and parking next the door The toilet handle does not working property. one of the towel has lots of yellow strain on it
- Marcellino (6/5): - Pool was locked, customer service was horrible, not a a very warming experience.
- Myron (9/5): A perfect solution to my 1 night stay. - Convenient location to Hwy. 99 and within short walking distance to two restaurants (Almond Tree and Denny's). no opinion
- Trejo (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great Towels were very old
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Although the room looked and smelled clean the bed had bedbugs!!!! Both me and my partner got bit up on both of our legs.. had numerous bites!!! So disgusted!!
- Collins (8/5): Very nice. -
- Juan (5/5): Passable -
- Darryl (8/5): - Not unique but clean good parking available dennys walking distance
- Regina (5/5): Reasonable and met my immediate needs - Applegate Inn offers a welcoming experience with friendly staff and a smooth check-in process at the window. Room availability was convenient, and the room itself was spacious, featuring a small mini fridge for added convenience. The property is outdated and could have been cleaner.

- Iris (10/5): I would definitely stay again at APPLEGATE INN hotel😾🫶🏼🫶🏼🤝 - I liked everything because it’s got the necessities, the basics that a person needs when one’s away from home. Another words it’s a home away from home. Nothing negative to say about the property.
- Dwayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Candida F. (10/5): - Staff was good. Facility needs updating. Water filter mechanism in bathroom non functional.
- David J (6/5): - Overall, this is an older place but well maintained, nothing fancy. The passing trains blowing their horns was a bit much though. Though the grounds seemed clean, there was a slight odor of urine in the air. This however did not affect the room. The room was no-frills but comfy.
