- Julia (10/5): Very friendly and welcoming host - The decor was dated but if you can see passed that the landlady is the loveliest lady you could meet, she was so helpful and kind and couldn’t do enough for us.
- Barry (10/5): Gosport stay - Only stayed 2 nts, hospitality was great, would stay again

- Michelle (10/5): - This lovely quaint Guest House was ideal for us on New Year's Eve as we were invited to a Masquerade Ball held at The Queens Hotel which was only a 6 minute walk away from the Guest House. We were initially thinking of going by taxi but trying to get a taxi on New Year's Eve is a nightmare and there's no guarantee anyway that they would actually turn up. Also, the taxi was working out about the same price as a one night stay here! Hence, it was a no-brainer. The property has excellent free parking around the back. The bed was nice and comfortable, the shower was powerful and the room was spacious, warm and quiet. The host (Heather) is a really charming lady and it was lovely chatting to her over breakfast. We had fresh fruit and yoghurt, tea and toast (lots of choices for jams, honey, marmalades etc). Heather then brought in some yummy freshly cooked croissants which were a real treat with a nice coffee. This was the perfect stay for us and meant that we could enjoy New Year's Eve without the stress of how we were going to get home. We would have no hesitation in booking this venue again for future stays. Thank you so much Heather! 😊
- Mr Christopher (10/5): Lovely little BnB - A wonderful host. Quaint older building which is very well maintained and clean and tidy. Very close to all amenities. Great value for money.
- David (10/5): - All really good. Owner is very helpful and friendly.
- Lawrence (8/5): - Ok, for a one night stay a dated property, but the lady owner was lovely

- Robert (8/5): - Cosy bed & breakfast - just what we needed
- Lynda (8/5): - Good size room. Quiet location. Great continental breakfast. It’s a very old building with character and history. Very friendly staff. Very reasonable price.
- George (10/5): - It was in walking distance of my destination and the price for one night was good
- H (10/5): Traditional B&B - Great and attentive host who made me feel very welcome. The B&B is clean, the room was comfortable and had everything I needed. As a woman on my own I felt very safe in the property and the walk back from the high street was well-lit and very straightforward.
- Hilary (8/5): One night - The outside of the House was not good Paint peeling ect
There was a lot of stairs to my room which I asked them about before staying but they said they hadn't received my message
The room was clean
Breakfast was included however there was nothing cooked
Host was helpful & they helped carry my bags
- Angelique (8/5): Lovely host! - Heather was an amazing host; a lovely lady who made you feel very welcome from arrival until departure. Breakfast, although continental had a very wide range of choice. Menu's were available to order a takeaway which we did on arrival. Safe parking is available at the property, along with ironing facilities. Yes, the building is worn and dated and could benefit from some repairs and decoration, but if you're just doing a quick visit which we were, this is a great choice.

Comfortable room with good facilities.
Breakfast was continental-style with a good range of foods including fruit, cereals and fresh toast, available.
The owner was very helpful and chatty.
The area was fairly quiet.
The price was reasonable - good value.
I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.
- Neil (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff, with directions to eating places within walking distance.
- Amanda (10/5): - Fabulous old building; clean, tidy & comfortable room. Heather is absolutely lovely; I felt so welcome and a real home from home. Great continental breakfast selection. I would definitely stay here again.
- Nicola (8/5): - All fine!
- Robert (6/5): - Very tired and dated, unable to find the car park and parked in the street. The breakfast was very basic.
- Richard (10/5): We will be back! A quirky, pleasant, family stay - A quirky, pleasant stay. This place is what it says on the tin.
The in house staff really make a quest feel welcome.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Comfortable and homely stay with great service - The hotel was comfortable and homely. The hostess was extremely accommodating-she even let me keep my bike in my room rather than leave it outside, and she was very available for breakfast and any other requirements. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good but could be better - Room was clean and tidy (including bathroom), however there did seem to be a mould problem on the bathroom ceiling. The bed was much smaller than we are used to and seemed pretty soft so we often rolled into each other in the middle! Staff were helpful, accomodating and friendly. On the first morning we almost ate some very mouldy bread which had been put out for us (the bread was past its date by a week)
- Joe (10/5): Short stay in Gosport - Very friendly atmosphere. Comfortable room and good facilities. very close to centre and pleasant walks nearby.
- Daniel (8/5): - Friendly welcome and comfortable room. Parking was full so couldn’t use the car park but did find on street parking. Good value for money.
- hugh (10/5): - Always clean and quiet. Perfect for work
- Paul (10/5): Good value accommodation. - Hot, powerful shower; clean linen; comfy bed; plenty of free parking. What’s not to like! Thanks for your hospitality Heather, I may visit again.
- Julia (10/5): Birthday treat - Lovely establishment, shame not fried breakfast but a great choice for alternatives. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Highly recommended
- michael (6/5): Amazing staff!! Needs renovation though. - Heather is incredibly friendly and sweet. Unfortunately this place needs a renovation.
- Sharon (8/5): Cosy, friendly and great value B&B - Our stay was very pleasant. We were greeted by Heather who made us feel very welcome. We were able to check in early as we were attending a wedding.
It was like a home from home, very cosy.
It is great to support independent businesses and this one thoroughly deserves it.
Whilst the rooms may seem basic to some, they are spotlessly clean, excellent value for money and we would definitely stay here again.
The breakfast was amazing, very welcome after a night out.
Thank you so much.
- Jodie (8/5): Clean, friendly - Good B and B, clean, and near an excellent thai restaurant for dinner!
- Julie (10/5): - Always a pleasure to stay here. Great location, good parking. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice.
- Sarah (8/5): Welcoming and friendly - Our stay at the Spring Garden Guest House was very pleasant from the friendly welcome we received when we arrived to the fabulous cooked breakfast we devoured before we left. (We hadn't realised that breakfast was included as our booking said room only, so it came as a lovely surprise)! The room was not modern, but was very clean and adequate for our stay. We did not use the honesty bar and pool table, but felt they were a nice addition. The Guest House is within walking distance of the town and ferry to Portsmouth, so all in all a reasonable location.
- Martin&Vanessa (10/5): Friendly and welcoming hotel. - Close to Gosport to Portsmouth ferry with easy access to Gunwharf shopping. Walking distance to the Submarine Museum, Explosion! and Diving Museum.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Guest House in a Great Location. - Does exactly what it says on the tin. Its a traditional Guest House thats getting quite old and tired but is immaculately clean. I couldn't fault the host and everything was explained. The icing on the cake was an absolutely fabulous breakfast, up there with the best i've ever eaten, and ill be honest i've had a few. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again when in Gosport as the location is perfect for the ferry etc.
- Allan (8/5): A bit out of the way, but exceptional! - The hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. The complementary breakfast is delicious and filling, and a cab ride to the ferry is inexpensive and allows access to all of the museums, etc.
- Paul (8/5): A well positioned bed and breakfast - Just a ten minute walk from the town centre in a quiet location. The owner is a very friendly lady who was there to greet us and give us all of the local information, the rooms were clean but a little tired. This is an old fashioned b&b with a great range of breakfast items. There is a residents lounge with a pool table and an honesty bar. All in all a nice place to stay
