• Burney (5/5): Teen Sleepover or Adult Trip Resort - ALOT OF SPACE AND GREAT LOCATION. Price was reasonable but better for adult stay. Older children would be okay with amount of room and great for teen sleep over. Room was not clean and had move to a new room after check in. Staff took a while bring new room key and activities should start later for new guest arrival. Not alot of kiddie friendly outdoor area. Only 1 outside small jacuzzi and most guest smoke/drink around pool area. Check out should be later.

• Hannah (3/5): Stay was unsatisfactory and disappointing. - The property was close to Disney we were able to get to the parks quick and easy! The room was very spacious. Our first night was okay. The master had no water pressure and the toilet seat was broken. Night two after a long day/night at Disney we walked in our room with a toddler turned on the lights and roaches were everywhere in the kitchen. When we called they stated they had to come up to our room to talk to us first before they could move us. We packed up our stuff it was another hour before they even showed up to the door with keys at 11pm. When asked if there was a roach problem in the building since they asked if we wanted to stay in the same building or move completely the employee stated very rude and smart attitude that this is Florida it’s normal. As a Florida native roaches are not normal to just have let alone 4 in the matter of a minute in the kitchen. We were moved to another room which seemed upgraded but had a dead roach smeared on the wall. We loved this property at previous stays after this stay we will not be back.

I liked the pool area I did not like how much I paid to be told I couldn’t have guests. I traveled to see my family and I ended up spending more time outside of the resort than inside the resort.

Beautiful room and view. Exceptional amenities. I really can't complain about anything that happened at the hotel. My stay was great.
• 716lucyc (2/5): Worst Resort Ever!!! - I wouldn't give this place a half of a star. My family and I drove 22 hours to this resort and we will never return!!! I am a wyndham club owner and have never experienced poor customer service at any of their locations until I came here. The front desk attendant was rude and disrespectful but I shrugged it off at first. OMG the room was filthy with hair being left in the shower the floors were horrible like they haven't been cleaned in years left our socks black! The bathroom sink leaked and the toilet was dirty. I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen myself for the safety of my children. I was not informed that there was a joining room and the neighbors smoked Marijuana all day, i know this because the smell seeped into our room. Several parties were going on in the building we were in with drunk individuals walking outside our unit late at night laughing and being loud did not report it because the staff was already disrespectful and the whole resort stunk of Marijuana so I guess it was allowed. We only stayed 2 nights and will never return nor will I ever recommend this resort to anyone!!

• adrian (6/5): - The property was awesome and easily accessible coming from FLL.However,the property is shared between Wyndham Resort which owns half and Star Island Resort owns the other.Booking from Wyndham make its very dufficult as the agents at the front desk will advise not much they can do for you regarding almost anything you want to do.Wanted to extend my stay, however, was told by front desk and reservation department they cannot assist because it was booked with Wyndham.Travelled with two children,booked a 2 deluxe bedroom condo and they refused to give a villa with a connecting door to access both villas without exiting the other. We were separated as a family abd were always reminded we did not booked with star Island hence not much could done. There were no carpet or rugs in the villa had to endure the very cold flooring. Since a request was nade no follows to assist us to ensure were comfortabl

• jmI6362UD (4/5): BE AWARE!!! Mandatory vacation club tour - The Star Island Hotel is overall a good choice, and we really enjoyed the location. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to use the amenities. However, the cleanliness of the floors could be improved. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to cook meals. BE AWARE: We booked our stay through my Chase credit card rewards program, and the reservation was listed as “Club Wyndham Star Island.” There was no mention in the listing or reservation about a vacation club tour. Even so, I emailed the hotel before our arrival to confirm if there were any additional requirements or fees, and the attendant assured me there weren’t. To my surprise, during check-in, I was informed that I was required to participate in a 60-minute tour at another location, which meant wasting precious time during my vacation. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. We had to attend the tour, where the company tried to sell us a vacation package, and it ended up lasting longer than promised. A quick Google search reveals plenty of information about how these vacation club tours work. I strongly believe this requirement should be disclosed in the listing! I would never have booked if I had known about the mandatory tour!

• Kayla (1/5): Bad - Honestly this stay was one of the worst stays I’ve been too I requested for star island respond payed over 500 for 2 night only and ended up getting switch to another hotel called westgate it was horrible dirty rooms no balcony they had roaches . Very upset about this .

They knew we were in a rush to make dinner plans but were aggressive in saying that we would be given a free 7 day vacation, a $100.00 gift card and the return of $40.00 that we would need to pay to attend only a 1 hour sales pitch (no longer) about purchasing one of their condos. They assured us only 1 hour and can say no to purchase and we still get all 3 perks. Well, it wasn’t an hour, we refused their services and they wouldn’t let us leave. So we finally just left-no free vacation, return of our fee or the GC. Now, we know nothing is free and of course there had to be a catch-as we stated to the desk, but they assured us that wasn’t the case. We fell for it and are warning others to not. They wanted $38,000 down and another $1,500.00 a month for for 15 years. It’s a scam and we are very mad that we were deceived. Do not fall for it and want our money back. The front desk and the Wyndham timeshare consultants. They are scammers and deceivers. They are also thieves, who took our money and our time.

We also got another suite which was adjoined for family. Beware of Alligator/ snakes signs...

• ZProf (2/5): Avoid this resort. Book ONLY if only option. - The rooms are dated, the bed platforms are flimsy, and our beds had collapsed when we first arrived. The heat and A/C were not working. The staff was not helpful, and the check-out staff couldn't care less that our experience was issue-filled.

Very clean and inviting with a nice refreshment bar and plenty of seating in the sun and shade. The rooms didn’t have enough natural light for me. I like brightly lit rooms.

Buy a better product O Have maintenance crews service or replace all exhaust fans in rooms and elevators. Noisy and don’t seem to actually move any air O really need to work on lighting - need adequate lighting somewhere in room for make up etc 0 Grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained O Pools are great for kids, need a second hot tub for adults O as they age eliminate the jetted tubs in Master bedrooms - Florida humidity is bad enough already and cleaning them must be a horrendous headache O Offer a towel option on check in standard, every other day, or every day. I don’t mind paying extra but I’d like to set it up on the front end O some furnishings (credenza and tables) are showing their age Overall - I’d happily stay here again. Nice place and great location. Just need to address some details
