- Nancy (10/5): Lovely Resort Property on Kentucky Lake! - Lovely place in a nice spot on the lake. The grand lobby and restaurant in the resort were wonderful with panoramic views of Kentucky Lake. The room i stayed in was spacious with very comfy beds, lots of pillows and good A/C! I enjoyed taking walks around the property. It was a bit of a commute to get to my lower level, lake view room but the weather was beautiful so it was fine. Id definitely return!

- Verified traveler (6/5): A 1980s Experience - While every staff member we interacted with was very friendly, the overall experience was underwhelming. We had cobwebs in our room, and the lack of a fridge or microwave was surprising. It just seemed the entire place was 20-30 years behind where it should be. Big plus though - the buffet lunch was very good.

It would also be great if they would have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms other than that, we will continue to visit this place every time we go to Kentucky lake area
- Anthony (6/5): - The reception area was nice and clean. The room we stayed in was clean, but a bit dated. There was not a microwave or refrigerator, so we were unable to keep leftovers from eating out or heat anything. (I did not check the listing to see if those were included amenities. I will check that next time!) We were on the lake side, that had several stairs to reach the room. If you parked in the top parking lot, there was about 15 stairs down to reach the room. If you parked in the lower parking lot, there were a lot more stairs to reach the room. Carrying heavy luggage back and forth was a bit of a task. It’s a good thing we are able bodied, if you have mobility issues, the lower rooms would be difficult to get to. The railing going up and down the steps should be wiped down more frequently. The railing going down towards our room was covered in bird poop. The parking lot is small and cramped, and you may have to park pretty far from your room. Although check in time is 4, we called around 2 to see if early check in was allowed. The lady that answered the phone said we could check in at 3. We arrived shortly after 3, and was told we could not check in. As we were leaving the check in desk, another couple stopped us and said they were told 3 as well. Would I stay here again? Maybe. I would certainly plan to have an upper level room, and a good cooler. (We did not use any of the other amenities, since we were out at the lake most of the time.)
- Kristine (10/5): - Beatiful setting by the lake, spacious and clean room, comfortable beds. We did miss a refrigerator and built on a hillside so steps involved. We just stayed a night on our way through and were used to staying in highway chain hotels. This is an oasis after some places we've stayed. Will definitely stay again during our travels.

Patio furniture needs hosed off. But on a brighter note, the lobby has an amazing view as do the grounds and the breakfast buffet had an abundant variety and was reasonably priced and delicious!

- MARY (4/5): - Liked that is was on a beautiful lake and the pricing was fair & I thought this was due to it being a state park. I was wrong. The first that was I called before making the trip 800 miles to see if a golf cart could be used on property & was told it would be fine, only possible restrictions was i would need to check with golf course to see if it could be used on course. I have a bad knee and as cabins are a good distance from lodge, beach and marina it would be much more convenient than driving truck everywhere. The first day we got there my husband was stopped by park officer and was told without exception, golf cart could not be used inside the park. I was so upset, first not having use of cart & the expense & transporting it back & forth from home. The cabin was ok, not great, but ok, other than a bunch of bugs, outside & in. Yes, I know we were in the woods but I did not expect them everywhere inside. I has to spray everywhere to keep the bugs out. Really creeped us all out. The cabins are poorly maintained, the kitchens are poorly stocked, not one single baking pan/sheet. Then upon checking they tried to charge me $300 extra because they insisted I was not booked thru Expedia but directly thru Lodge, & even though I assured them I booked thru expedia, she assured me i was wrong until i found my booking & quote & showed it to her, at which point she corrected pricing but no apology for basically calling me a liar. I could go on but i am at limit. Never again
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great price, location, and amenities (pool and walking paths along the water). The view from my room was lovely. Staff were friendly and professional. My only disappointment was that the restaurant was open less than the website had indicated--I had to go off-site to eat dinner.
- Kelly (10/5): Great Mini Vaca - We enjoyed our little cottage. The pool was awesome! Beautiful views and scenery. Just minutes from Pattis and Venture River.
- Erica L (8/5): Resort - The resort overall is an affordable getaway. The room had a spacious balcony that had a waterfront view. Pool was nice for the kiddos. Dining was great.

- Whitney (10/5): - We stayed in the deluxe cottage and it was absolutely gorgeous! It far exceeded my expectations! The screened in porch was probably my favorite part. Resort staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be staying again very soon!

- Bobbie (10/5): - The inside was very nice and clean but the outside had not been taken care of at all the deck looked unsafe to be on it was filthy nasty dirty such a waste to have it and the grass around had not been mowed and kept up at all I wouldn’t want my grandson out playing in it at all so do better on that part

- Donald (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful setting and property. The key card to our room was hard to work at times. But the friendly staff was helpful in getting the keys redone after they b failed twice. And they were not near a cell phone. We will stay here in the future!

- Lea (8/5): - State run facility. It is old hence the good vs great on the actual room. All issues except the very low flush toilet😌 were remedied by staff upon our request: tub w/o stopper; no TV signal; no soap. Lovely pool and main hall facilities!!! Beautiful lake—great access to beach, boat launch, biking or waking trails. Way better than a hotel along the highway enroute home❣️

- Wendy (10/5): - Fun and nice overall however we had a big puddle of water leaking from AC and they told us tanks for letting us know when we called.. we had to just keep putting towels down to make sure no one slipped but overall kids had fun and the fishing was great… the food at lodge was good but VERY expensive.. 2 adults 4 kids and our buffet was 160$ I was not expecting that.

- Jeff (2/5): Not Good - I really tried to give it a chance. I visit this area 2-4 times per year and always stay in a hotel. I kept an eye on the reviews and they have been getting better over the years. The front desk lady could not have been more nice! When I walked in to my room, I immediately got a bad feeling about the room just because of the look and smell of the room - it just felt extremely old. Then I looked on the bed and there was a large dead bug (a mayfly maybe?) on the pillow. There were bugs nesting in the corner of the ceiling and above the vanity light over the sink. After I tried to sit on the mattress (which did not appear to be purchased in the 21st century), I realized that there was no way I could sleep in this room. SI booked another hotel that night, packed up, and left.
- Eric (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay. Enjoyed the view from the private deck and being able to walk the paths along the lake. Breakfast was great. Very friendly helpful desk staff both of our visits.
