Они обещают принести дрова и пропадают на пару часов, на номер телефона, который указан здесь они не отвечают. Еле как нашли человека, кто знает этих работников, он им позвонил, тогда уже они пришли и сказали, что дрова закончились. И после долгих возмущений, что нам холодно, он принес обогреватель. Почему не сделать это сразу???

• Simon (1/5): Fortement deconseillé - Rien Nous voyageons beaucoup une cinquantaine de reservations en 5 ans….. et nous avons trouvé notre plus grande deception. Je ne comprends pas les notes, après nous avoir laissé attendre sous des trombes d eau pendant 15 minutes, un artisan de l’un des trois cottages nous a ouvert. Personne n’était au courant de la reservation. Nous sommes arrivés dans une maison sans aucun équipement a part quelques sachets de the,les draps étaient sales sans chauffage alors qu’il faisait tres froid dans la maison. Tres peu d eau chaude. Personne pour vous acceuillir mais quelqu’un est bien la a attendre le matin pour le payement ca pas de problemes. La pire experience de tout nos voyages et le prix tres excessif(par exemple nous avons payer deux fois moins chere a colombo avec un hote present et tres accueillant avec tout ce qu’il fallait)Ce n’est pas enfer mais notre chauffeur guide etait lui aussi tres etonné des conditions de logements.

• Annika (5/5): - Een eigen huis met woonkamer en slaapkamers boven. Beide kamers een eigen badkamer. Heerlijk warm water! Dichtbij het meer. Het was erg vochtig in het huis en dat kon je voelen en ruiken. De keuken was erg basic (en bij het huren van een huis verwacht je wel een keuken waar je kunt koken).. Er waren bij aankomst geen pannen en het servies was erg incompleet. Er stond vermeld dat er een wasmachine zou zijn, maar deze zat vol schimmel (ze hebben toen uiteindelijk kosteloos onze was gedaan).

• Thilini (10/5): Great place! Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. - To start off, the manager Mr. Rohan was really friendly and very pleasant. We asked if we could have an early check in and he was more than happy to accommodate us. Once we got there, we were greeted by Mr. Rohan and he had the cook/caretaker, Raja show us the property. We had booked just the villa but he let us know that we could have the cook for all 6 days of our stay at a nominal fee. We just needed to buy the groceries. Raja was an excellent cook and super caretaker. They were happy to change the sheets/clean the rooms and bathrooms any time we requested for it. Raja also cooked for us any time we asked, be it bites, tea, coffee or main meals.. We were also offered a late check out as we had a few very tiring days. All in all, great place to stay! There was nothing we didn't like.
• Sg (5/5): Disappointing - The villa was spacious but dated. The washing machine was not working. The oven was not working. There was no microwave, we had to call the owner twice before he get his man to send one over in the morning. There was no hair dryer, we called the owner at midnight and he got us a very old one which caused power outage twice. Out of 4 burners, only 1 was working. The bathrooms and toilet windows face a dormitory or workers' quarters, anyone standing there can look into the bathrooms.

The size of the house is great and has all the required facilities. Nothing really. The water heater is switched off by a switch that looks very similar to a light switch and is in the same place and the room light switches and so this can cause confusion.

• Raja (5/5): The management make the place more attractive to visitors by doing very simple things. - The location. Linen is very old and kitchen utensils, specifically the metal cookware, were very old and not good for any use. The microwave was not cleaned for weeks and we found fungus in it.

• Tharindu (10/5): Found peace in the misty hills - We recently stayed at Lakeside Cottage in Nuwara Eliya for one night, and it was an exceptional experience. The cozy ambiance, breathtaking lake view, and warm hospitality made it a memorable getaway. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and tranquility. Highly recommended!

• Sugath-ishara (10/5): Wonderful Stay with a Amazing Experience 🌟 - We had a real good time at this place. Its home away from home. Very clean and comfortable with all the ammenities. My children loved the place very much spacious for five of us. "Raja" the caretaker very supportive and He helped with cooking Manager Mr. Rohan is a very pleasant and with good personality. Very nice view from all of the windows. Mountain and Lake. Just 5 mins walk to the Greogary Park entrance closer to Adma Strawberry Ship. Fresh Organic Vegetables farm just opposite to the road and owned by this Same cottage owner. "Jaye" is a very kind farmer is there and you can buy fresh organic vegetables for a lower price from him. Wonderful place to stay in Nuwaraeliya for a great experience. None

• Stephen (10/5): Great stay! Highly recommend, wish we stayed longer. - The house was very nice. It was an old Victorian English style home. It was very well situated. Just a 15 minute walk along a lovely lake into the centre. Rohan was extremely accommodating and a gentleman. Raja was also an excellent help. We gave Raja and Rohan our laundry and I didn’t realise I had left a substantial amount of Euro (€) in my pocket, which Rohan then called me to let me know and gave me back all the money. I really appreciated that. The shower was gorgeous and plenty of hot water. The shower gel smelled lovely. The bed’s were very comfortable and spacious.

• Delini (10/5): Highly Recommended - Beautiful cottages overlooking the Gregory Lake. We stayed at the Aberlour cottage which had all the necessary amenities. Clean and spacious. Comfy warm beds. Perfect fit for a family of five. The friendly manager Mr. Rohan went out of his way to help us make the most of our one night stay in Nuwara Eliya. Also gotta mention the two cuties (owner's cats). Cleo is my favorite. It's our second time at Lakeside Cottages and it's still exceptional. We'll definitely come back here again. Minor issue: hot water runs out during long showers.
• Caroline (5/5): Kind host; however property did not meet expectations - The host was very kind and did his best to help with any request we had - going into town to get more toilet paper, calling the power company about the multiple power cuts etc. If you were staying to make use of the lake activities it’s very well located (however, to get into town you do need to get a taxi/car - so depends what you’re looking for from your stay!). Property did not meet expectations based on photos online. Some of the rooms were quite damp and mouldy in places, and at least one room had damp bedding on the beds when we arrived. There were multiple power cuts during our stay, which meant we could not make use of the washing machines (one of the main reasons we’d booked) - not the fault of the host but frustrating nevertheless (only one washing machine worked in any case).

• Girish (10/5): Colonial Cozy Cottage - The property is pristine, it is exactly as it looks in the pictures. The cottage has everything (large bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, full kitchen, fire place) that you would need for a great and comfortable stay. mr. Roshan was always available on the phone (even at 5:00 AM when we had to call him as their was power cut). Highly recommended.

• Vinay (6/5): Great property if minor glitches are solved - Location was awesome right in front of Lake Gregory. House vibes were very nice and had all basic amenities close by. Staff are very cordial and are managing the property to the best of their abilities despite many glitches. We had a great stay here and overlooked some of them. The house has the potential to be a 5 star however despite having all amenities many of them did not work - gas had 2 burners only working out of 4, pics showed such a nice fireplace but it doesn't work at all, washing machine shown was not working, wifi was slow, one of the geysers was not good, pots & pans greasy. If you really ask me these are easily fixable and I would definitely recommend this property, but urge the owners to rectify this. You have a great property at prime location but having so many glitches only tarnishes the charm.

• Yasotha (10/5): Cosy Cottage - Loved this little cottage, the beautiful garden and view outside. Its a 2 floor cottage with the kitchen and living area down and 3 rooms +2 bathrooms upstairs. The manager and caretaker were very attentive. However need to note that there isnt a reception or lobby area. You would need to contact them when you arrive. This isnt a big issue, but since the water heater is small, you need to give a 15-20min gap before the next person showers.

Just that we were checking in around 7.30Pm and had to carry our luggage’s and bags all the way up by our self to the cottage climbing tiny rocky stairs from parking place. It was really uncomfortable at checking in as we all were tired after travaling some distance. Same scenario when checking out as well. Cottage manager Rohan was really help full but he has no one to assist when someone checking in or out I believe.

• Ted (4/5): Has a room of improvement - I booked this cottage due to its high rating in Expedia. However, my experience was not as good as other same price range hotels I stayed in Sri Lanka. There was about 20 flies welcoming us that took hours to get rid of them. The facility it self is not bad but needs more effort in maintaining the facility and welcoming the guest. The breakfast was the same for two days and there was no excitement. Taste was not good as well. Since the cottage is maintaining the high rate, management might be thinking the customers are satisfied in a current service and facility level. I will recommend to choose other place if the service and facility level remains the same.
• ISABELLE (10/5): Un cotage pour soi - C'est une jolie maison écossaise que vous louez vécu 3 chambres dont une suite parentale une chambre avec 2 lits et une avec un lit idéal pour 2 couples et un chauffeur il y a une cuisine une salle à manger et un salon avec TV câblée Cette maison donne sur un beau lac où vous pouvez vous promener en bateau ou à cheval . Nous sommes au cœur des plantations de thé de légumes et de fraises. Un petit déjeuner est servi chaque matin et il y a de nombreux restaurants autour Un petit paradis
