• Terry (7/5): - Le personnel serviable pour garder les bagages, la présence d'oreiller à mémoire de forme à disposition, salle de bain pratique et grande chambre pour le Japon. L'emplacement est vraiment idéal pour partir explorer Kyoto à pied ou en transports. Chambre qui sentait un peu le renfermé et interdiction d'ouvrir les fenêtres, le port USB de la chambre ne fonctionnait pas, pas de tasses pour le thé fourni ( gobelets en papier disponible mais pas top pour une boisson chaude )

• Chiara (6/5): Posizione strategica e ottima logistica, ma la pulizia della camera è decisamente da migliorare. - La posizione è eccellente, estremamente comoda perché si trova a pochissimi passi dalla stazione di Kyoto, il che rende gli spostamenti semplicissimi. Le lenzuola erano pulite e il bagno, nel complesso, era in ordine. La pulizia generale della camera purtroppo è stata deludente. Ho trovato molta polvere accumulata ovunque: sulla testata del letto (che ho dovuto pulire personalmente), sull'applique e dietro la tenda della finestra, che sembrava non venisse spostata da tempo. Inoltre, la tenda della vasca da bagno presentava tracce di muffa. Un vero peccato, perché basterebbe più attenzione ai dettagli per rendere il soggiorno piacevole.

• Aneta (5/5): - super lokalita, kousek obchod i zastávka, klidná čtvrť, srozumitelný check-in skoro nefungující wifi, fungovala cca 20min z hodiny, museli jsme využívat placený roaming. Vše bylo zaprášené včetně rámu postele, jako velcí alergici jsme měli celkem problém. Závěs ve sprše vypadal jako celý plesnivý…skvrny a fleky. Absence nočních stolků u postele, a výtahu (ten ale byl uveden předem, že chybí)

• Mayu (3/5): 不気味 - 場所は京都駅から近かかった。 スタッフがいなく、部屋番号の書いたキーボックスがあったが、それを開ける番号もわからず右往左往した。 電話をかけると2回目でスタッフが出て説明を受け、部屋が空いてるからそのまま入れるとのことでした。部屋に入った瞬間、これやばいな（オバケ的な感じで）って感じました。 綺麗というか、微妙な綺麗さ。ベッドリネンなどは清潔だが、布団自体が臭く、眠れない。部屋の雰囲気も不気味すぎて、ちょっと耐えられず、2泊の予定が、翌日朝、別ホテルに行きました。 京都あるあるだと思いますが、私の泊まった部屋がたまたまそういう雰囲気だったのかもしれませんが、もう2度と泊まりません。安さと利便性に釣られて予約してしまった自分を恨みました。
• Kumi (7/5): 残念 - 閑静で交通の便が良い。 設備が整っている。湯沸かし，ドライヤー、冷蔵庫付きはありがたい。洗濯機が無料というのは素晴らしい。浴槽が深く洗い場があって，入浴が快適。トイレが別なのも気持ち良い。 部屋が広い。金庫が便利だった。 スタッフがいないのが致命的 チェックイン時に部屋が開いていたので，誰か隠れていないか，トイレや洋服ダンス，扉を全部開けてチェックしました。とても怖かったです。玄関同様，部屋のドアもパスワードで開けるか、フロントなどに部屋別にしたセイフティーボックスを置いてその中にカギを保存し、セイフティボックスのパスワードを宿泊者に送る，など工夫してほしいです。他に宿泊客もないようで，とにかく怖かったです。他の点については文句のつけどころがありませんが、スタッフ不在という理由で，もう宿泊することはありません。

A pesar de ello el hotel se encuentra a pocos minutos de la estación, cerca de un templo y jardines, y a un cómodo paseo hasta el centro. Solo tiene 4 o 5 habs y nunca nos cruzamos con ningún otro huésped, el hotel está ubicado en una zona tranquila, la habitación cuenta con todo lo necesario, cama cómoda y baño completo con todos los amenities necesarios. • Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel doesn't have many rooms, so it was quiet. Also there was a laundry on our floor which was easy to use (detergent was provided). The only thing I didn't like about the room was that there was only a desk chair, so we had to sit on the bed to eat, lounge etc.

• Amy (10/5): Outstanding experience - Can't say enough great things about our stay at Racine Home and the manager there. Very large room and shower/bath for a Japanese hotel. Even provided scented bath salts for the Japanese deep bath in the bathroom. One of very few I was able to find in our 4 city trip to have a queen bed! Great, quiet area walking distance from restaurants, and about 15 minute walk to Kyoto Station for all trains and buses. The manager was outstanding, going above and beyond to provide recommendations, even made reservations for us as she speaks English very well. The onsite cafe/bar was great, order the Shabu-shabu!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great boutique hotel - Great location to explore Kyoto! It is near Kyoto station for the main bus station and the train station. A small hotel but the room inside is big enough and amenities are all well prepared. The staffs are attentive and friendly.

• melvin (8/5): Pretty good place to stay and decent value. - The location was very good for walking around and taking the train from Kyoto Station. There are many restaurants around the Kyoto Station. The area was safe quite and mostly residential. The directions were inadequate. They did not say which exit to take when leaving Kyoto Station. Of course, I exited on the opposite side. The 10 minute walk took almost an hour and I nearly missed the desk employee for check-in. I had not instruction for completing a late check in, since I had not expected to be late. I did not like the smells from people cooking food in the shared kitchen, but they did have a bottled water dispenser, which was great and they gave 2 bottles of bottled water. The lobby was different, in that it had a retail area. The bathroom was small for me. The roof was so low that i could not stand upright in the shower. They had great toiletries. I wish they had an international tv station, like CNN. That would have helped. The wifi was excellent. They had adequate outlets including a usb charging outlet. The other guests were nice and social. I never interacted with an employee except at check in and check out. The lady at check out was exceptionally friendly.
• Mitchell (8/5): Mediocre Mini Hotel - The check-in process for Racine is very interesting - the bottom floor of the hotel is actually a retail store with a check-in counter in the back. The receptionist/boutique owner spoke very good English and was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel resembles much of a hostel setup - communal kitchen area on the first floor. The room itself is extremely small and does not have a window that you can view things out of or even open. The bathroom is also extremely small and showers oftentimes get water all over the floor due to the congestion of space. The bed is of a normal size and comfort but lacks 2 outlets (one on each side). There was a fridge in the room which is helpful. Overal, the value of the hotel was what was expected and the staff were friendly and check-out was virtually painless.
• Anthony (10/5): Racine Home Kyoto two nights stay. - Put simply a first class stay in ever way and also 10 minutes walk to Kyoto mainline station.
• SC (10/5): Great place to stay in Kyoto. - A very pleasant surprise: clean spacious room (rare in Japan at the rate) with all standard amenities and everything worked. Friendly and very helpful staff: arrives before check-in time so left luggage and upon return found luggage already in room. Hotel has no elevator and we were on the third floor with high staircase steps. Easy 10-min walk to Kyoto Station. Will stay there again when we revisit.

• Doublewoods (8/5): A nice little hotel in a very convenient location - This is a nice little hotel located in a quiet alley within walking distance to Kyoto Station and a few local attractions. Room is very clean and comfortable. All the rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator in this hotel, which can be a big issue for older people or anyone who has trouble to climb the stairs. We had to heavy suitcases. While I was carrying one to upstairs, the friendly hotel clerk helped carrying the other one for us.
• Chickadee (10/5): Perfect "hybrid" stay in Kyoto! - Situation just a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station, Racine home hit all the right notes for my husband and I. Spacious, very clean and new furnishings throughout. It had all the amenities we cared about: fast internet, air condition, comfy bed, great bathroom/shower. Surprise bonuses were: a shared kitchenette on the main floor, drinking water cooler, ensuite fridge & safe, an adorable lifestyle store and decent vending machines with basic meals/junk food. It didn't have stuff we don't normally need: 24-concierge, pool or restaurant/bar. So it's a hybrid between a really nice hostel but with hotel-style rooms. We missed having an in-building coin laundry. But otherwise, I wish more hotels are like this.
• Paul (8/5): Nice low key place in a good location - A pretty great place to stay. The staff is low key, and not around a whole lot, so be sure you check in at the right time. The location is really great, as the hotel is situated between Gion and Kyoto's main station. My only complaint is that we only had a long window at the top, and not really a big window. This is not something in every room, but we got the window room with no view this time I guess. Other than that, I really like Racine home. And and the FREE washer and dryer! Just awesome! Some clothes dryers in Japan are weak and don't really work, but this one was great!
