DANIEL (3/5): - I only probably really like the room as it matches the photos shown. I was really disappointed with staff and there attitude. No one at reception. Finally saw two staff members asked them where is the reception person want to check in. No apologies for about it just told me to fill out the paperwork and took payment. Rest off the place is ruined rundown and no one really maintains it. Then 6am one morning someone starts using a Wedeater outside our window. I also wanted to propose to my partner here thinking it was a nice place as it has 4 start. I'm not sure how they are keeping that reputation going. It was a huge disappointment. I propose to my partner at First landing instead. Better food and atmosphere also Staff were really helpful. For 3 star think it was hell of a lot better then Nila.

All the staff were friendly and approachable, we like their service and they always attend to our needs. There were some inconveniences but they solved the problem, looked after us not until we were satisfied.

Big shout out to the security, we arrived really late at night, no restaurants were open, security made sure we had food and drinks to get us through the night. We didn’t have cutlery or a microwave to heat up food or eat at night time but either then that the rooms were great.

Mote (6/5): - My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and we did want to give a detailed review on our stay. Starting with the good: A/C was amazing for the humid hot weather Shower had amazing pressure Bathroom was spacious The room itself had a lot of space Bed was super comfortable Daily room clean was helpful We were able to connect our Netflix to the TV and it worked a treat when we were home from a long day out. The food from the restaurant that we ordered was good. The not so good: The bedsheets, pillows and blanket provided were stained, badly. Also noticed that when the cleaners come to clean, they don’t change the bedding. When we first got there we were given the wrong room but they when they realised they sent us to the right room. The lawn needs to be mowed regularly. The breakfast is a bit sad. The resort is really quiet, like a ghost town. The workers there don’t really converse. There’s a door that connects to the other room next to ours so we could hear the guests in the other room which wasn’t really convenient. There’s rarely much to do there so it’s good to have a rental to go to places. There is a lot of potential at this place, just needs more life and more work. Other resorts close by are far more better in regards to friendly staff, great atmosphere and more activities to do there. We were hardly at the room, only to rest, shower etc before heading out again but if we were to stay there full 4 nights we would get bored very easily.

Kim (4/5): Nice staff but disappointing facilities. - This Hotel has a more modern slightly Asian vibe, not really tropical. The decor is not tropical at all. Depends what you are looking/hoping for. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was large with two bathroom sinks a a spa bathtub.But... The bathroom sinks and whirlpool tub were not clean, nor the shower.

Lucky we found a regular driver who we texted and he - The rooms are excellent, lovely large king bed and bathroom was clean and spacious the air conditioning is very good. It’s a too far out of Nadi. The resort has nothing to do. The pool is ok but the poolside furniture is not too good. The staff are strange, it’s like a big family with kids staying there etc, they found it hard to crack a smile and be half friendly. The Breakfast you get as part of the room deal is poor, very basic and it’s a hassle to them if you ask for a fried egg instead of a boiled egg. The menu for lunch and dinner is fine. Curries were good.
Jay (2/5): Waste of money and total catch-fish on the pictures - Ok so two things that are good about the so called resort. 1, the rooms are ok 2, the Indian food is good AVOID! Total waste of money. For the price we paid for two rooms, we are absolutely disgusted. To start, the jet bathtubs did not work in either room. The curtains in the rooms do not fit the windows properly, leaving you completely exposed for everyone to see into your French windows. The TV didn’t work either, and to make matters worse, the family’s kids were running in and out of the rooms, adding to the chaos. We arrived late in the evening and missed dinner, so we were really looking forward to breakfast. However, the breakfast was absolutely terrible. It consisted of a raw fried egg, two mini sausages (of questionable meat), two mini spring rolls, and bread with some kind of strange onion spread. It was embarrassing. Two other families also refused to eat this poor excuse for breakfast. The only alternative was to take a $50 taxi (each way) into Nadi to find something edible. The Pool: The pool area is a disaster. Every other paving stone around the pool is loose or broken. There are only about five sunbeds, and you have to fight for them. There’s hardly any proper seating around the pool, making the setup a complete joke. While the surroundings could have been nice, they were littered with rubbish, which ruined the atmosphere. The Management: This is a family-run business, and their kids were running around the complex, literally screaming. It felt feral and completely unprofessional. The Staff: The staff are lazy and unresponsive. Even asking to buy a beer felt like the biggest task in the world for them. They were utterly miserable and made no effort to improve our experience. On top of everything, we discovered that some very expensive perfumes and makeup products went missing during our stay. After being awake for 12 hours, we asked the manager for a refund for the remaining two nights. He refused, simply telling us we were welcome to leave. We worked hard and saved a lot of money for this trip, and this experience was devastating.

Melissa (5/5): Only OK - The restaurant was EXCEPTIONALLY good - the outlook was wonderful, the staff were extremely nice and attentive. They really should advertise/promote it more as it is seriously a hidden gem! A very pretty location. The room was very dated with more maintenance issues than I can remember!! Knobs off the ends of curtain tracks, leaking spa, drain bugs coming up through the sink, cushions and bed runner in need of laundering. We paid for the night prior as our flight was a very early arrival and all we wanted to do was get some breakfast and get a nap in - the check in process was extremely slow and clunky and I got the feeling that the gentleman who checked us in was not used to doing so. As I said - very pretty - but not the white sandy beach you'd expect in Fiji. The pool area needs some TLC.

However all the other staff including the security were amazing. Just the manager needs to have better customer service skills. Otherwise he should leave the hospitality industry to someone who has better people skills. That was a real let down for my stay. And for that reason I will never go back.

They worked as best they could to make my stay as pleasant as possible even though they were working under VERY challenging conditions. The facilities were VERY poorly maintained and in some cases, downright dangerous. The owner did not care and made his staff attend to problems without giving them any support to do so. He intentionally overcharged me for my accommodation and didn’t look after the facilities or his customers. Watch out for him - he tells you prices for services and then charges more than he quoted.

Lachlan (8/5): Beautiful spot, - If you like secluded/peaceful own beach without lots of people this is great, but very on it’s own 25mins away from Nadi, we ended up getting a rental car so we could go explore the island!! Nothing else close by except for one other resort 10min walk away for a different meal experience etc

I would highly appreciate an outdoor traditional lovo style by the outskirt area where the club like beaurea house is. Some live music dance gathering will really compliment the whole theme of vacation in romance.

Cassandra (9/5): Nila, a villa stay with a tonne of potential! - At first, the breakfast was a little underwhelming, the hot food was cold and not very appealing. However, once the buffet was set-up, this helped keep the food the warm and lush. We think the breakfast situation would run better if guests are presented an a la carte menu the day before (maybe at breakfast), so guests are able to pre-fill their choices of food that is available. It would have also been good to have local fruit available e.g. watermelon - it seemed odd to have apples and oranges when the local area was selling local fruit on the side of the road. The restaurant and it's beautiful selection of Indian and Chinese meals was impressive, The pizza's were also amazing. We suggest the menu needs to be made more simpler e.g. keep no more than 3 western option on the menu, the rest need to be removed as these items are not a the draw card. The restaurant is very dated, and needs to be brightened up. The porch where most meals are eaten is the best porch for sunsets...... and to gather for a meal. The cocktail selection and having Fiji Gold on hand, were a real treat! The staff were wonderful, very friendly and extra helpful when things weren't quiet as expected. Emma, Ben, Sylvia, Lolo and the gardener (sorry we've forgotten his name), we particularly grew fond of as they went above and beyond to help us, look after us and to engage. I put this down to the well known nature of the Fijian people, of being kind, warm and also very funny! The owner of the resort is very lucky to have a team like this, as this group made out time at Nila, a special and memorable one. The Villa's are a very good size, as is the bathroom. The beds were luxury. We loved the location of Nila, out and away from Denarau, a little off grid. But you must have a vehicle, preferably a 4WD because of the road system. Being away from the Commercial side of Fiji, was the best decision ever! Nila might have been a beach resort in it's former life - it is not that now. We highly suggest the owner markets Nila as a Villa stay, with an amazing restaurant - which it is 100%. We give this feedback as Nila sits between two 4-5 star resorts. Nila might have been a resort when it first opened, it is definitely not that today - when compared to it's neighbours! Our reasons for this review is based on our experience and stat of 7 days, in that we asked to be moved out of our first Villa due to the untidiness and lack of cleanliness and upkeep of the chattels. In our new room, the ranch slider was broken the whole time of our stay. The toilets in our bathroom, as well as in the restaurant could have been a much nicer experience had these been regularly cleaned and maintained. The owner must put more training and effort into the cleaning regime around Nila. Having a clean and hygienic environment is a vital part of a guests experience. We think by changing this, it will lift the poor feedback and low scores you receive, without a doubt! It is easy to imagine Nila being a stunning and impressive place in the past, today it appears to lack pride and care in the small things, which quests pick up on, and expect. That is why we strongly recommend Nila changes it brand from resort to something else, by aligning their brand appropriately - guests won't feel misled, and disappointed. We also believe you'll get a greater range of people as well.
Pratiksha (1/5): Pathetic, not worth the money. - The only thing we loved was the view, everything else was pathetic, we paid 800 dollars for 2 nights and was the worst experience of all times. The front receptionist had a unwelcoming face on always. Pathetic food totally disgusted by the food. There were hardly any utensils in the room. Absolutely worst experience. Never again. Everything. Especially the front receptionist and food.
Cleta (9/5): This is a very lovely, peaceful place to stay. The view and the sunsets are amazing! The price is right for a very comfo - Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The restaurant was lovely with good food. The little clothing shop was a sweet find. I love my new Fiji clothes! They weren’t able to accommodate our need for change for our Fiji dollars for taxi fare, adding stress to our already stressful situation as we were going back and forth to the hospital every day to visit a family member in ICU. They were out of many items on the restaurant menu, making it difficult to choose enjoyable meals.
Robert (7/5): Good option for a nights stay in transit through Fiji. - Property was tidy and clean. Location was fine, but adjacent to an industrial fuel terminal area associated with the port. Indian restaurant looked to have a very good menu for dinner, but we didn’t eat there. Wifi was patchy which made planning and booking activities a challenge.
Sashi (5/5): Average - Breakfast was ok nothing special, it needs more variety. The bathroom was great loved the spa. Need more things for breakfast for the money we pay. The lights in the bathroom needs to be brighter as we went for a wedding and couldn't see properly to get ready. The screen door was broken

David (2/5): - Very poor service, room was dirty, PowerPoints didn't work, doors didn't lock, left the extra bed outside of the room. Bed sheets had a stain, food looked disgusting. Would not recommend this place to anyone. They don't have wifi in the rooms which is crazy.

Kyah (2/5): - Good location Terrible owner / service They only want your money not your presence. I wouldn’t recommend staying here - we slept here & the food was shocking. I told the supervisor and she ignored how we felt about the food. Breakfast was terrible I have never been served such shocking food, no care, no love, the last day we didn’t even have a buffet breakfast. I couldn’t believe it. We ended up eating at First Landing the full 7 days of staying, and thank god we did, the service the food is what made out Fiji experience. The boss needs to invest in the people of this land, they will bring the heart of your stay.

Amy (1/5): Highly disappointing waste of money - Nothing Rooms that don't lock, cleanleness less was shit, hair in our bed when we arrived and moldy fridge, poorly maintained property, poor food quality, breakfast was terrible, rude unhelpful staff as soon as we tried to address issues they made it clear we would get no help, Would definitely not recommend anyone stay here!

Bonnie (10/5): Hidden Gem!!! - This is a hidden gem! Away from touristy attractions, this serene resort offers a unique opportunity to experience the beauty that Fiji has to offer in a peaceful setting. The staff is genuine and welcoming, the restaurant tasty, and sunsets, spectacular.
Stuart (1/5): Only stayed one night and left to another location . - The room was the only clean thing about the place, it was overall a run down complex and the food was disgraceful. We left after one night and went elsewhere with no refund.
Chandra (5/5): Needs ALOT of improvement!! - The room was quite spacious. The bathroom and vanity were spotlessly clean. The indian dishes were quite nice. We had breakfast included, but the food at breakfast was very disappointing. There were no cereals or milk, and we got already served breakfast after 30 minutes as there was only one staff at the reception as well as severing breakfast.

We were told that the price was $295 I said I made booking on the app and it said different price of $360. But that lady agreed that it’s $295. So we paid and went to our room. The room didn’t even have warm shoes or even bath robes. The towels smelt, room as well. But anyways I sprayed it so it helped. Later someone tries to break into our room. To our suprise it was the staff and we said you could have tried and knocked or called on the landline but she said oh the boss said to get $360 and I said you just said not $369 but $295. Anyway I don’t like to fuss so I paid the excess but like really? Anyways I went to get the dinner menu from the restaurant and got it to my room and I opened the menu, it smelt like crap but anyways we ordered. The food was pathetic as well. I can make better food for just a beginner. Later for breakfast we came at 8 and no one was there. We were expecting a buffet for the price but guess what it wasn’t. We sat and we got some juice, the taste was horrible we had to ask for sugar and still it didn’t change the taste. I saw the owner probably went inside a room and too put butter and Jam. Like what was that? Then came breakfast, the place had so many flies outside and the place smelt like Indian sorcery really. Our breakfast didn’t even have coffee when I asked for it we just got plain coffee like seriously it even tastes off. Like who teaches you to make coffee?? The eggs were so oily and the lamb sausage when I said I don’t eat lamb and yet they put that. The fruits was the only good thing about it. Butter and Jam just one of each in small packs like doesn’t even cover one bread of toast. Anyways we walked out of breakfast cause it was beyond pathetic.

Ruk (1/5): Very bad. I won’t recommend any of my friends or family to stay there. - Property is not too clean. Plus it’s so scary specially at night. I didn’t get the room which I booked. Wanted double bed got single bed. Plus on line pictures show something else and when you go there it’s something else.
Sonya (7/5): A great place if you want to get away from it all and don't need the extras Denarau provides. - We chose Nila as it was handy for our day trip into the interior so the location was great. For it's star rating, the pool area is really nice and the rooms we had were stylishly designed and very clean. The Indian food on the restaurant menu was exceptional. There was very heavy rain (even for Fiji) during our stay, which meant the room loo wouldn't flush. We had to use the restaurant bathroom which desperately needed a clean. The beach isn't wonderful, although the pool itself more than makes up for it. The surrounding gardens and pool furniture are in dire need of attention/replacement (the pool furniture is mostly beyond repair).

Savelio (7/5): NILA RESORT - Great place to relax and revitalize when you're in need of a break from the rest of the busy tourist areas. Like living in a villa, great food, friendly staff and enjoyable time easy to order a taxi but would recommend a rental good place to sleep at night if your planning on traveling around during the day. Mosquitoes are a problem as it's close to the water, so make sure you have insect repellent ready.
Corina (5/5): We did enjoyed our stay here, you definitely need a car if you’re booking in here, this place is very quiet if that’s wh - We loved the young ladies bubbly personalities made the place feel alive. But only saw them on the night we arrived, loved the laughter and giggles and they were very helpful. We loved the pool, this is very nice and clean. The size of the room and bathroom was really nice and clean We loved the big bed, not too hard nor soft. Unfortunately we changed rooms because the TV wasn’t working and they changed us as soon as we arrived back. Breakfast daily was nice just right for me and my husband. I didn’t like there is no laundry service or the use of a washing machine to wash our clothes. The sheets in the second room had a couple of old blood spot stains on there and another mark on the white sheet that I didn’t enjoy when pulling the sheets back to get into bed. Also the blanket was in the cupboard and had holes in the duvet but did like it warm and had the hotel feeling to it. We didn’t like that the glass wasn’t mowed. It was too high walking to the pool and around the place. This wasn’t really beach front as I thought it was going to be. No Face clothes, hand towels, no tissues available. Did have towels,pool towels and bath mats though.

Mandsnz (2/5): Don't bother - The room was spacious and had a nice layout The staff were kind and friendly The one dinner we had was nice. Lots of gekos and birds. There was no internet in the room, and the owner did not trust his staff with the password, so we had to go and find him to get wifi access. The fridge had mould inside, bed sheets stained, and had to clean the bath tub before using. Side lamp held together with electrical tape, main door dock broken and wouldn't latch, safe in room did not work, pool furniture all broken and left laying around. Blood on the door of the bathroom. Glass recycling on a trailer out the back woke us up every time glass thrown on there. Location is far away from everything, beach is not good for swimming. The resort had a wedding there on the last night, and the music was so loud that we got no sleep, no warning or information given to guests that this was happening. Breakfast was very disappointing, with no variation over the whole time. For the cost of this resort, I would expect some money to go back in for basic upkeep, repairs, and maintenance. There are many nicer places to stay than this one.
