• Matthew (10/5): .Wonderful place, brilliant value - Wonderful location and my room was really fab - unlike a lot of guest houses, it seemed up-to-date and modern. Although the hotel itself doesn't provide any meals etc, Sonya was always available on-site and was so lovely and helpful - especially with the parking, which is SUCH a bonus but hard work for her as it's a bit of a squeeze! Nothing! It was perfect for me (solo traveller, 3-night stay).

• carol (10/5): Chilled, relaxing couple of days away. Helpful and friendly hostess on site at all times - Spot on location, walk into town only 5 minutes. Parking tight but no problem getting in or out. Room small (we knew that before we arrived)but it had everything we needed including extra biscuits hot chocolate and milk A nice view of the park but a little noisy from the road, however this wasn’t a problem for us

Would recommend and stay there again. - Our room was exactly as shown on the website, and was spotless and comfortable. The car parking worked well for us, which was a great benefit especially when considering how central and conveniently located the property is. The host, Sonya, is very welcoming and helpful.

• Hakan (10/5): - It’s in great location, one minute walk and you are by the sea. Lady who I think is also the owner was very polite and helpful. When I booked the room, I didn’t know they had no receptionist and check in was between 3-7 I think but she kindly waited for us and she even tried to find us another place to stay next day as they were fully booked. I will definitely go back.

Very convenient location - easy walk to the harbour area and good access inland by car. Close to the railway station and there's a bus stop outside. Very clean and well kept. Car park - although not the easiest of arrangements. Not easy to spot the sign on first arrival.

• Louise (8/5): Would stay again but in a bigger room. - Excellent location, the shower pressure was really good and room was clean. Host was lovely too. I saw a bigger room on checkout and wish I'd have booked one of those. I didn't realise how small the budget room was that I had booked. As it was in the attic, the ceiling sloped significantly, resulting in my partner (6'4) barely being able to stand up straight. I also hit my head a few times and I'm only 5'2. It's my own fault though. It does state limited space on the website, I just didn't see this upon booking. Would definitely stay again but not in a budget room.

• william (9/5): Peaceful, comfortable stay in a great location. - The location was excellent for walking to and from the centre of Whitby for evening meals, local attractions etc. the room was exactly as advertised, very cozy and comfortable, leading to a great night's sleep. The old house was full of character and period charm, it was lovely. Our host Sonia was outstanding, very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. My wife and I would love to visit again. Apart from not having breakfast in the morning, there was nothing we did not like, the tea, coffee and milk were topped up every day. Excellent.

El baño es muy pequeño y no ventila demasiado bien, por lo que el segundo día de nuestra estancia las toallas seguían mojadas como si acabásemos de usarlas.

• Jill (10/5): Loved this place!! - The lady manageress is asolutely amazing, super efficient, helpful & friendly. The room was quite compact but super clean, cosy & pretty & had everything I needed,;good storage space, super clean bathroom & shower, perfect bed & even clever lighting for reading in bed! Was spoilt by generous provisions of tea, coffee & very nice biscuits! I cannot fault this place at all; felt at home. Highly recommend!! It may be useful for some couples to mention that my very cute little attic room was quite small & had sloping ceilings, which was fine for me as a solo traveller but maybe more difficult for couples (especially tall ones)! I did see some of the lower floor rooms which were quite stunningly beautiful & very spacious!

Quiet. with low noise level at night. Good location. 5/10 minutes walk from town centre. Nothing I can think of- there is limited on-site parking but that's probably the case for most. if not all, accommodation in Whitby.

There is no lift, but had i mentioned that climbing 2 flights of stairs would be difficult, this would have been different, as Sonia will book us a room on the lower floor for our next visit.
