Guest Reviews
- Ulrike (10/5): - Eine sehr schöne Anlage, mein zimmer hatte leider keine funktionierende steckdose.
- sibaji (4/5): - Poor food
- Preston (4/5): - Limited dining to only whatever dish they are serving and the times they serve. No options.
No hot water in the cabins for shower.
They tried to put us in a group to do all the same excursions as a group. We opted out of the excursions, which all cost extra. Wanted to relax by the pool but cool weather settled in for a few days.
- AYTAC (8/5): - Our stay in the Amazon was truly unforgettable, thanks to the amazing staff who made every moment feel welcoming and special. Our tour guide Fernando was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated to ensuring we had a great time exploring the rainforest. Samuel brought a warm and friendly energy to our tours, making the adventures even more enjoyable.
In the dining room, Ronny’s constant smile and attentiveness added a delightful touch to every meal. Manager Justin was always ready to help with anything we needed, and Ronaldo was fantastic during our zipline experience—professional and supportive.
The staff truly makes this place shine and creates an atmosphere that feels both adventurous and comforting.
A few areas for improvement:
The rooms unfortunately lacked functional charging options. While there were two USB ports, they didn’t work—not just in our room but in others as well. We had to rely on the dining room or lobby to charge our devices, which was inconvenient. There was also no hot water in the rooms at all, which can be tough after long, active days in the rainforest.
The Lake Sandoval tour itself was beautiful and well worth doing, but the meal provided during the tour was quite disappointing. For a $70 experience, we expected more than two very basic sandwiches—one with dry pulled chicken, the other with a small piece of cheese on dry bread—especially after seeing other groups enjoy more complete meals.
- Mark (10/5): - That you’re in the Amazon!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The boat landings were a little rough. The place is beautiful. The guides are great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very basic eco lodge but price was good. Room was ok . Bathroom had a toilet but the shower was not working well
- Ari (8/5): Great lodge, awesome staff - This is not your everyday "hotel"! This is a resort in the middle of Amazon with minimum amenities, no Wi-Fi no hot shower and no electricity but only for 4 hours a day. BUT, this will be the greatest outdoor experience you can have.
- Max (10/5): Stay in the Amazon - Fantastic stay in the Amazon. Take it for what you're going there for and it'll be a fantastic Trip. Jonathan was a great guide and made the trip better.
- maryanne (4/5): lodge on the river - The staff in the lodge office in the town weren't at all concerned that we waited almost 3 hours for the boat to the lodge. They were overly eager to sell their tours but couldn't give much information about the lodge itself. The pool wasn't clean and the bar staff were rude.
- Fernando (6/5): Wild lifestyle - I was expecting something different. No AC, or Fan, there where lot insects in the room. They turn off the electricity at 9:30pm.
This place is good for people who wants to experience the nature.
The facilities needs to have better maintenance, billar is in very bad conditions, swimming pool was dirty.
All workers were nice.
