While it's not a luxury stay, it certainly provides good value for the price. The rooms are compact, which is expected for the rate, but they are functional and clean. The staff is friendly and always willing to assist with any requests. The building itself has a charming, historic feel, though the walls are a bit thin, so you might hear some noise from neighboring rooms. The shared bathrooms are kept tidy, and the hot water supply, though limited, is sufficient if you manage it wisely. The bed was comfortable, and the linens were fresh. For travelers looking to save money while staying in a convenient location, this is a solid choice. Just be prepared for a no-frills experience and you'll find it quite satisfactory. I would stay here again for the price and location.
• Malinis (1/5): Bad - I just like the location. Everything. The staff are nit helping. The rooms are too small and not the same on the advertisement. When we get there they didbt specify on the instruction that the check in should be in the 13th floor i need to go back and forth. And the check in of 3pm was not true. 3pm inwas told to go back for check in but they are just starting to clean the room. 2 small rooms took almost 2hrs to clean. I will.not recommend this, there are rooms that no windows as well.

• Hubert (1/5): Bad - the rooms in the pictures are probably just taken from the internet because they look really bad in person, a dump with a bathroom only behind an oilcloth, if you pay extra for a bathroom in the room. The only plus is the city center.
• Adrian (1/5): Avoid if you can - worse accommodation I have ever booked - Location in the city It has rats, it is dirty and not well maintained with insects, cockroaches, not working fire alarms and broken tiles with exposed edges. Towels. Duvets and sheets have holes and some of them dirty. The bathroom is a crystal cabin inside the room so you do not have any privacy while showering or going to the toilet. The bathroom has also broken parts as the tub or tiles as well as insects. Neither the accommodation or booking allowed to get a refund. Very disappointed.
• Guillemot (1/5): Avoid this place! - It was cleanish Very poor facilities, room was very hot and aircon didn't work properly and was very loud. Beds were hard, staff didn't speak English and were no help. Ended up going to sleep at the airport.

The room was all good, perfect location and you are just close to the MTR station and the bus bay. A few minutes walk to Avenue of Stars, HK Museum and Cultural center. Everything was perfect

• Chris (4/5): - It's really hard to figure nd anything good about this place other than its location. I knew the condition would not be all that good and prepared myself for that. But it was still a disappointment.
• Sze Kai (2/5): A hostel mainly to cheat your money - Extra 100 dollars for a toilet with shower, otherwise going down to the ground floor to have a toilet from 8th floor. Since I couldn’t connect to your customer service, so I called the police to settle the case. It was a breach of contract since my contract showed a room with shower and toilet. The guy was very rude and impolite. He is a mess behaving like a barbarian and illiterate. Don’t book this hostel for their target is to cheat your money. For 100 dollars, he can say you have to go down 8 floors to go to toilet. This guy is so poor,so he would cheat you money. Maybe his salary is too low that he cannot match his basic subsistence level.
• Verified traveler (4/5): No view and missing phone chargers - The bed was so short that even my smaller girlfriend didn't fit in in length. Also our phone chargers dissapeared on the last day. Contrary to the pictures there was no window to the outside. The location itself was very close to Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon ferry terminal
• kim (2/5): - terrible, There was no bath, no shower in the room reserved. They suggested the upgrade room to use a bathroom by add fee about hk$430. Small room. There was no bathtower. You should buy the tower by hk$20~50.가능하면 다른 곳으로 예약하세요, 방도 좁고 청소도 제대로 안해주는 최악의 호텔입니다. 위치는 좋으나 추천은 하고 싶지 않네요. 예약된 방에는 화장실, 샤워시설 없으니 다른 층에 가서 같이 사용하라고 합니다. 온수 나오는 시간 정해져 있고 엘리베이터 시간도 정해져 있습니다. 시간 놓치면 방에 못 들어 갑니다. 계단이 끊어져 있어요. 샤워시설 있고 화장실 있는 방 원하면 돈 더내고 업그레이드하라네요. 선택의 여지가 없어서 그렇게는 했습니다만 기분이 더럽더라고요. 가능하면 몇 만원 더 주고 좋은 방으로 구하세요. 제가 보기엔 불나면 다 죽는 구조 건물이더하구요

• Eun Jee (6/5): Mehhhh - Kowloon New Hostel was an interesting place to stay. The room was definitely not as large as it looks in the picture, and our 2nd bed was a fold out chair they tried to convince us was ... a bed. We also had to pay extra for a private bathroom, so make sure you realize that. There’s no way we were doing shared bathrooms on floor one. Despite that, the bed was comfortable. More comfortable than it looks for being so thin. The staff was generally pretty nice. Overall, it was a convenient place to stay. Did I love it? No. Would I stay there again? Maybe.

• Chen (6/5): - 住的大樓很可怕，雖然交通很方便且便宜，但是尋找客房及櫃檯不方便，房間隔音效果不好，房間內無電話，需要自己到櫃檯尋找房務人員，但是如果不介意樓層像電影裡的舊式大樓且有伴一起住，其實以小資族群，這間住宿其實還可以。 浴室房間會滲水，房務第二天回到房間收垃圾，不知道的會覺得很可怕 房卡押金頗高，但是會全額退回

Hot water didn't work for 3 days and I had to went to the staff several times to tell them but nothing was fixed I had to shower in cold water for 1 night and the next morning it happened again and again (but at night it worked)

• HOTBOYZ (2/5): ห้องโดยรวมแย่กว่าที่คิด - ไปเช็คอินอีกชั้นของโรงแรม ลิฟท์เก่าและรอนานมาก พอไปถึง พนง.บอกว่าให้ถ้าพักคนเดียวจะอัพเกรดห้องให้ ใหญ่กว่าปกติ พอลงไปตกใจมาก ห้องยังปรับปรุงอยู่ด้วยซ้ำ ข้างนอกยังมีอุปกรณ์กำลังต่อเติมอยู่เลย อุปกรณ์อาบน้ำไม่มีอะไรให้เลยแม้กระทั่งผ้าเช็ดตัว ซึ่งผ้าเช็ดตัวพอไปถามเค้าท์เตอร์บอกว่า 10HKD แต่ไม่อยากให้ซื้อให้ไปซื้อซุปเปอร์ข้างล่างราคาเท่ากัน พอลงไปเค้าบอกว่าไม่มี ราคาต่ำสุดคือ 59HKD พอตื่นเช้าจะเช็คเอ้าท์ต้องเช็คเอ้าท์ 9-12 น. เท่านั้น ผมจะเช็คเอ้าท์ 8 โมงก็ต้องเช็คเอ้าท์ตั้งแต่คืนก่อนที่จะเช็คเอ้าท์ ต้องเอากุญแจคืนเลย ลำบากและอันตรายมาก ไม่แนะนำให้พักที่นี่อีก มีดีแค่ พนง.ให้ความช่วยเหลือดี นอกนั้นแย่มากครับ

• nuyui (6/5): ใกล้ mtr - ตึก ภายนอก น่ากลัวเดินหาห้องพักนานเพราะหลง จะงง กับลิฟต์ เวลาขึ้น เเต่ ตามทางเดินห้องพักมีไฟตลอด ใครไปหลายคนคงไม่น่ากลัว มีพวก ต่างชาติผิวดำเยอะมาก หน้าตึก ถ้าตอนดึกๆ เเล้ว ถ้า หลังเที่ยงคืน ถ้าเป็น ผญ จะลงไปเซเว่น ควรหาเพื่อนไปด้วย เพราะต่างชาติ ผิวดำเยอะ กินเหล้าเบียร์ ตามทาง หน้าเซเว่น เค้าจะมองเราเป็น พวกผญ ง่ายๆ เข้ามาคุย ถามตลอด เเต่ดีที่ตัวเองไปกับเเฟนเลยไม่กลัว ถึงจะมีเข้ามาชวนคุย ก็ไม่กลัว การเเต่งตัวสำคัญมาก ถ้าล่อเเหลมเกินไป ก่อจะถูกมองเป็น ผญ อย่างว่า
• Oliver (6/5): Good budget option - We booked this place very much as somewhere to crash and leave our bags during our first weekend in HK as we knew we'd be out late. Our room ended up being in Chungkung Mansions rather than Mirador Mansions as advertised - this is not uncommon with HK guesthouses. While walking up through Chungkung Mansions is always quite an experience, once you actually get to the New Kowloon Hostel bit everything was clean, quiet and fine. We were upgraded to an "ensuite", possibly the world's smallest ensuite but a nice touch all the same! This is one of the cheapest rooms we saw advertised in Hong Kong and it was definitely good value for money.

• さすらいのライオン (4/5): 買い物jと食事には便利 - 建物を探すのに苦労しました。でも、現地の人に聞けばすぐに教えてくれます。エレベーターは、停止階が異なりますので注意が必要です。１３階のエレベーター脇の部屋が、フロントです。とても丁寧です。１６階の部屋に泊まりましたが、セキュリティは申し分ないと思います。部屋の中は、年数が経っているので、あまり多くは期待できません。エアコンの音が気になります。バスルームは、換気がないので、いつも濡れている状態です。何を求めるかによりますが、寝れればいいという方には、申し分ないと思います。

• Verified traveler (2/5): 何もかも最悪でした - まず、どこにあるのか分かりづらい。 探すのに時間がかかります。 建物は古くてびっくり。ただし内装はキレイだったけど室内は暗くて、布団がキレイなのか怪しい。朝起きたら体にはデキモノができたから恐らく布団のせい。 お風呂に入ろうと思ったら水が流れなくて、足元に溜まるいっぽう。ゴミがプカプカ足元に浮かび、足が洗えない。そして、蛇口が外れる。
• Swee Hong (4/5): - Photos posted not tallied with the ones I booked. No towels given and the TV was down, no phone connection to reception. TV down on one of my rooms, my Son went over to inform them and was told that would be there to fix the problem . It wasn't fixed at all even at the point of check out. However, having said that , for that kind of price, that type of room condition is expected just that , it shouldn't deceive the consumer by posting that kind of photos of the rooms.
• Verified traveler (8/5): 立地条件最高。コスパ良しなホテル - 複数のホテルが入っているマンションの一角です。総合受付があり、ほとんどのホテルがそこで受付をしました。難点は受付の人がたまに居ないこと。私はタイミングがよかったのか、スムーズにチェックインできました。しかし他の日には何人もチェックインのために待っていたのを見かけたので、注意が必要です。立地条件は最高です。ホテルを出れば目の前に駅、向かいにスタバがあります。食べるところやショッピング、移動には最適な立地条件です。 アメニティ等は期待しない方がいいです。あるのは体を洗う石鹸のみです。歯ブラシ、シャンプー、タオル等が無いので必要なものは周辺の薬局やコンビニで購入した方がいいでしょう。 色々気になるところはありますが、私は寝に帰るだけでしたので十分だと思いました。 総合的にはコスパ良しだと思います。
• Verified traveler (2/5): Best to avoid despite being cheap - After reading all the negative reviews about how Chungkung Mansion hotel guests had to wait very long before they could board the next lift, I avoided and booked for a room at nearby Mirador Mansion. To my surprise, when i requested to hold my luggage for a little while more after the check-out time, one of the receptionist said that since I would be staying for 4 consecutive nights, she would ‘upgrade’ my room so as to get the free luggage holding. Thinking it was a good deal, i agreed. To my horror, the room was so called upgraded to their subsidiary room at ChungKung Mansion. Room condition was bad. Aircon that stink and were noisy. The whole room smelt of dirt. The ventilation fan did not help much. The bed didn’t look like it was cleaned. Best of all, TV WAS NOT WORKING!. Thinking it would be a hassle to change again (you got to walk back to Mirador Mansion and wait for the lift for another half hour, i gave up and stayed on.  Room service for making up the room was terrible too. I think out of the 4 nights, they only cleaned up my room once. And by clearing, they only cleared the bins. thats all. Bed same, grime same.  Lastly. check in/out queue was terribly long and I couldnt quite understand their accent. Best to avoid despite being cheap.
• liew (8/5): สะดวก สบาย ปลอดภัย - ตัดสินใจอยุ่นานกว่าจะจอง เพราะอ่านกระทู้เยอะว่า hostel จะค่อนข้างน่ากลัว อันตราย แต่ไปถึงไม่น่ากลัวเลยเลยค่ะ เจ้าหน้าที่ตอนรับดีมาก
• Ming Ying (10/5): The good VALUE in Hong Kong - Staff was very helpful & nice, The price was good VALUE in this AREA. Room is small but clean. I will stay here again !
• Marcy (6/5): もう少し清潔感があると良いです - チェックイン時にデポジットがあるのが面倒だった。 部屋はタオルが無く、ホコリがあった。 エアコンは問題なく動作し、シャワーのお湯がしっかり出たのは良かった。

• Ｍａｃ (2/5): 開口部が広い - エアコンが調子悪いし、テレビは映らないし、窓はないし、独房のような部屋だった。スタッフは対応がよかったが、サービス時間が短くて、朝早いフライトのチエックアウトをどうするか、スタッフと話し合った。また、チェックインの場所と方法がわからなくて、非常に困った。
