I loved the fairy lights strewn through the trees (my friend and I arrived at night), the cheeky birds walking about the place, and the big open fire place in the kitchen/dining area. Plenty of gorgeous spots to gaze at the stars and a fab spot to view the sunrise over the water. My friend and I walked to get burgers from The Fat Tui and let me just say, it was worth crossing a single lane bridge on foot for.

One of the toilets near main kitchen was out of order and a shower wasn't draining but not any adverse things to impact stay. parking arrangements near cabins could be better

- Petra (10/5): A perfect stay in The Barn cabins and camp - Wonderfully located camp right at the beginning of the Abel Tasman track. My single cabin was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable and very practically furnished, with enough space for car parking. Generously equipped kitchens, hot and strong showers in the bathrooms. Fast check in by a smiling receptionist.

- Hannah (9/5): Great base for exploring Abel Tasman - Our cabin was great, spacious and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the sunsets. Set in a great location for hiking in the national park. Recommend grabbing a burger from The Fat Tui after your hike. We booked the boat taxi at reception which was super easy and they picked us up the next day.

Die Toiletten und Duschen warn immer top sauber und super ausgestattet. Es war echt ein tolles Erlebnis, gerne ein nächste Mal wieder. Die Vorhänge welche die Kabine abdunkeln(Sichtschutz), könnten eventuell aus einem Stück bestehen, für mehr Privatsphäre. Aber das ist nur ein Luxusproblem 😁

So close to the AT National Park is a bonus, but then so are all the facilities. There's accommodation here for all people and pockets. It would have been nice if the curtains fit and closed properly as the whole side of the room where the door was, was glass. We were in "cabin" 15 which was close to the large communal kitchen, toilets and shower rooms. There was a group of international students there at the same time, and they were enjoying themselves in the kitchen, which had a large fireplace...a great touch. Although they were quite noisy, we really couldn't hear them with the windows shut in our room. A great place to use as a base to explore the trails of Abel Tasman National Park. The free WiFi didn't last very long for my husband who has a walking disability and is not able to take advantage of the opportunity to hike, which, of course is the main reason for staying here.
- OldZephyr (10/5): - A great place for those who like to cook meals in a communal kitchen and who don't mind shared bathrooms and showers. Clean, well equipped, and fun. Great staff. Small store on site gas all the essentials and fun items too. And don't miss the parade of ducks in the morning!

The staff were very friendly and helpful and great to be able to get an early morning coffee from the little shop-reception area before heading off on our hike.

Goede koffie en lekker eten bij de bar/restaurant. Perfecte locatie. De keuken verdient echt onderhoud. Het zwarte roet kleeft aan de pannen van de pitten. Dat maakt dat vervolgens alles onder het roet zit: afwasborstels, theedoeken etc. Koelkasten dienen schoongemaakt te worden, licht bij was wasmachines deed het niet.

- Stefan (10/5): Gemütlicher Wohlfühl-Ort in grandioser Natur - Das Creek Studio bietet viel Platz für zwei Personen und überzeugt mit einer geschmackvollen Einrichtung und einem großen, komfortablen Bad. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend – von der Waschmaschine bis zur sehr gut eingerichteten Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und alles sauber. Besonders schön sind die Terrasse und die große Rasenfläche, die zum Entspannen einladen, man hat sogar eine Feuerstelle und einen Grill. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Zudem sorgen das freundliche Personal und die angenehme, herzliche Stimmung im ganzen Holidaypark für einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Der sehr nahe und wunderschöne Abel Tasman Nationalpark natürlich auch.

- Meritxell (10/5): Perfecto - Ideal para poder visitar la zona del PN de Abel Tasman. Me alojé en uno de los bungalows que disponían de baño. Es amplio y moderno, muy comfortable. Dispone de una pequeña nevera, tetera y una zona de descanso para comer en el exterior. Hay otras opciones de alojamiento. En la recepción tenían una pequeña tienda y cafetería en la recepción y un food track, que prepara unos bocadillos deliciosos Se encuentra justo al inicio de la pista de senderismo, con lo que es perfecto para por ejemplo acceder con los water taxis a la bahía que se desee y hacer el camino de vuelta andando, haciendo parada en las diferentes playas.
- Mia (10/5): - Great spot! You can book tours and activities at the reception desk, and there is a lot to do. On the ground there are a lot of birds running free: chucks, pukekos, weka. You have to be careful as they are also running free in the kitchen and are trying to steal your food. There are a lot of bathrooms and a lot of space on the kitchen.

Not enough showers or toilets which were mixed with most sinks outside in the open making it a perfect hippie commune which is not to everyone's liking. They need to invest in overhauling the kitchen and bathroom facilities.

The location was awesome, right beside the start of the Abel Tasman walk, and also so far away from anywhere so I couldn't possibly expect the nicest place. Quite a few things needed repaired. Like a toilet that was not at all bolted to the floor and some showers that the staff suggested not to even use. There were not enough toilets, sinks and showers to service all of the guests.

- Samantha (7/5): - This site is in a great location for the national park and it’s very easy to organise water taxis to locations in the park to walk from if you don’t want to walk in every day. They have a good selection of food/drinks for sale in the reception and a food truck and café close by. This is a big site and when full (which it seemed to be most of the time we were there) there aren’t really sufficient facilities and cutlery etc for everyone - there was only one kettle in the large kitchen and always a queue to use it. The cooking utensils and ovens are all quite old and not in great condition. There were always queues for toilets. We have stayed at several camp sites in NZ and this one just needs some TLC to bring it up to scratch again and either some extra facilities or less people on site.

- Melissa (9/5): Fab place, loved the chickens and ducks, great location - We finished the Abel Tasman hike then stayed at the Barns for one night - it was fantastic! Super convenient and close to the end/start of the hiking trail and also close to food options and town. Facilities were great - we used their laundry, shared kitchens, toilet and shower blocks. It's a nice big open area with plenty of options for relaxing and hanging out. We would definitely stay here again.
