Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (10/5): A brilliant accommodation for a short stay with a very comfortable family room - Room with amazing view. Clean, comfortable and ideal base for short break. Obliging staff. All welcomed our 7yr old granddaughter. A comment rather than a negative: tables clean but very sticky.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trudie (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the White Horse - lovely location and without exception helpful and welcoming staff. - Ideal location - just steps away from Blakeney Quay. Beautifully decorated in neutral tones. Our room- a superior de luxe - was large and comfortable. The car park, although not large , had spaces each time we needed to park. The property is very old with the original staircase - steep, narrow and twisty. We are both in our eighties and were only able to cope with the stairs thanks to suitably placed handrails.
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (10/5): Perfect location, perfect room, perfect break - Loved our room with its own access and living room
- Chris (10/5): An excellent few days based in an excellent establishment. - Perfectly placed for exploring the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good food and drink. Very clean and comfortable.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Super friendly peaceful place! Relaxing atmosphere. - Great Breakfast. Good restaurant and Bar. The friendly staff.
- Margaret (9/5): Very comfortable and friendly with nice and helpful staff especially Molly! - We enjoyed small quality touches that went beyond what we were expecting, fresh milk in our room for drinks , decent toiletries, beds and a reserved parking space when we arrived! Not much space just to have a drink as we had had a large lunch! , small courtyard was available, which we used but couldn’t understand why small room/ lounge inside wasn’t offered.
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Lee (8/5): Lovely hotel , great location! - Great hotel, great location.
Recently purchased by new owners so was informed it will be Getting an overall to make it even better .
Tidying up, few extra touches . More variety on the continental breakfast an dinner menu.
- Simon (6/5): Far more positives than negatives which is clearly a plus. We would stay there again. Would be great to sort out the on- - Great location , nice decor , room was very comfy. Barman and breakfast server friendly and efficient. The premises had a nice feel to it and on the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is ideally placed in our view to explore the north Norfolk coastline Parking is a lottery - reserved parking bollards available but moved / ignored by other drivers. I assume there are the same amount of parking spaces as there are hotel rooms ? If that’s the case allocate clearly a parking space to each room to stop the lottery. Restaurant was packed which bodes well of course for the hotel but suspect several of the hotel resident only parking bays were taken , on street parking is limited and whilst there is a pay and display car park 2 mins away , parking overnight is not allowed. Wife really looking forward to sampling the crab dishes on the menu but no crab was available which with the hotel being so close to the crab capital of the world (Cromer) was disappointing. Departed early and was told a staff member would be on site at 0730 but no one was present.

- Lloyd (8/5): Very good -
- Jeffrey (8/5): Very good -
- Florian (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (7/5): Good - Evening meals were good. The bed was small, dont think it is a full double. The mattress was lumpy and still had a winter duvet on. The breakfast tables are too small and we're sticky. The fruit salad was peel your own orange and the breakfasts tended to be overcooked.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (9/5): Superb will come again - Breakfast and evening meal was excellent . Staff very friendly and service excellent
- Mark (8/5): Very good -
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was to my liking No problem's
- Geoff (9/5): Superb -
- Amritamati (10/5): Great place to stay. - Very friendly staff and a lovely, spacious and comfortable room with a view towards the marshes. The hotel were happy to look after my rucksack whilst I went on a seal trip in the morning.
- Lynn (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Terrific breakfast. Would definitely stay again. - The breakfast was soooo good. And a beautiful little breakfast room. Fish and chips at dinner weren’t too good I’m afraid. But But desserts looked very inviting.
- Rosemary (10/5): Fabulous, we couldn't fault it in any way - Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast and dinner, private car park Absolutely nothing to complain about whatsoever
- Barry (10/5): Blakeney is a lovely location to visit, and the white horse is a lovely pace to stay! - Pleasantly surprised with our room, it was very spacious and well presented. Truly nothing!
- Stephen (8/5): Excellent, Lovely Staff and a great place. - Room was lovely and clean with a view over the marshes. Bathroom lovely with a large shower and quality toiletries, The Towels were lovely thick and soft. Food was abundant for breakfast and service excellent. Went for dinner in the restaurant which was very busy so i would advise booking. Nothing it was all great, Parking is limited so explore options locally.
- Heidi (10/5): Brilliant! - Beautiful decor and great location
- Joanna (8/5): Very clean hotel good value with breakfast included - Location Nothing

- Heidi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marilyn (6/5): It was ok but I won’t be rushing back. - The location. Free parking. Wifi (some of the time). The bedroom was very comfortable Steep winding stairs. The surfaces of the tables seemed to be sticky. The dinner menu was a bit pretentious and not always well cooked.
- Ellie (6/5): No further comment - The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. As we both had mobility problems, I requested a downstairs room but I was phoned after I had booked to say there was not one available, so the room would be on the first floor and was this OK? I said it was OK as I thought we could manage one flight of stairs. However, on arrival our room was on the second floor and we found the stairs narrow and steep. Plus there were other steps, doors and corridors to manage.
We found the food disappointing. It was very often over cooked or even burnt. We did not say so at the time as we didn’t want to make a fuss! We had visited when it was a pub many times in the past and generally liked it.
The accommodation was up to standard but overpriced.
- Angela (8/5): Great location, staff, food and service and very clean. - Great location, spotlessly clean and friendly staff in all areas. Small bedroom No8 but changed to No 9 which was perfect.
- Anonymous (8/5): Perfect location, lovely rooms - Perfect location, the room looked over the High Street. The room had good facilities and size.
Plenty of room to store luggage bag, clothes etc (often lacking in hotels now).
The bathroom was very large and high spec. We really appreciated that as sometimes bathrooms are tiny! Towels excellent quality and large. There were problems with the WiFi which was frustrating given it's stated it's available. We had no connection in our two day stay.
Pillows could have been better.
Breakfast a little slow and could be better.
- George (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Lovely - Old worldy building steeped in history. Staff were happy and helpful.
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, comfortable, spacious room with comfortable bed and chairs. Good choice of breakfast items. Excellent evening meal. Great location.

- Joanna (9/5): Superb - Lovely breakfast ,fab location ,comfy beds ,would definitely recommend the white horse blakney Our laminate floor was gritty with sand ,but didn't detract from our lovely break
- Chrisr (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): Good -
- Anton (9/5): A pleasant relaxing overnight stop whilst walking the Norfolk Coast Path. - Comfortable and welcoming staff - great Addams Beer, lovely evening meal. Small bedroom - especially with 2 travelling cases.

- Nicholas (8/5): Very good - Excellent breakfast
EV charger
- Richard (8/5): It was good enough but just needs some new people to take over and put some warmth and effort into the place. Would stil - Location with plenty of parking.,breakfasts were good and were inclusive with our stay Rooms were stuffed full of furniture, and should be replaced with a stand for out suitcases. Had evening meal there on arrival but it was poor and didn’t repeat on subsequent evenings. Apparently the place is up for sale. Didn’t ever see the owners
- Gillian (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (9/5): Very relaxing - A very friendly Hotel
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (8/5): Excellent staff, clean small room. For elderly the staircase is very dodgy. - Bacon very overcooked. Continental very limited to cereal, pieces of whole fruit and croissants. Continental breakfast
- Anastasia (9/5): Great Value, Spacious Room, and a Nice Pub - Great value for the price! The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We also really enjoyed the pub downstairs – it had a nice atmosphere and was a great place to relax. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Nothing
- Geoff (8/5): Brilliant - Nice and bright, good decor and our room had a lovely view Nothing of note

- Elizabeth (8/5): Relaxing and comfortable, in the perfect location - All the staff at The White Horse were kind, proactive and helpful. We had a few questions about the area while we were there and they were happy to help. One of us is also gluten intolerant and the staff at both dinner and breakfast were very accommodating, taking the time to discuss allergens and what dishes could and could not be adapted.
The location in the centre of Blakeney was perfect for us, and the stylish, comfortable room was just what we needed after a long day of walking.

Bathroom was very cold and only heaters in bedroom.
- Hanna (8/5): Great place. The friendliness of staff really made our stay. - The family suite was beautiful. Plenty of space and stylish. My Daughter loved the bunk beds. The only issue we had on the second night were very noisy guests upstairs and running around the room which was very loud in the room below. Nothing the hotel could have done about this.
- L (10/5): Exceptional - The family rooms were perfect, lovely and spacious. Clean and very well equipped.
Delicious food,friendly relaxed atmosphere.
