There were ants all over our table trying to eat breakfast additionally they do not allocate you a balcony less specifically requested and the room is more like an apartment allocated away from the main building of the hotel.

I requested a room for 2 people with single beds. Instead I was given a room with a queen size bed. When I complained I was moved 3 days later to a noisy room on Kathrine street at the front of the hotel which had 2 single beds.

Percy (9/5): Fantastic - The food was absolutely delicious, huge thumbs up to the chef. I will definitely come back again for the food. It was raining, and we had to walk in the rain from our rooms to the dining area, with no shelter.

Curwin (5/5): - The food and staff were great. Particularly the resturant staff. Breakfast and coffee in the resturant was very good. 1. Bedroom had an old mattress that sank in the mild. Made it very difficult to sleep well. 2. When the room next door opened the water, the hot water in the shower would go off. So whilst showering the hot would go cold and then very hot. 3. There were no sheets on the bed, had to ask twice for it. 4. Dstv wasnt working properly the entire weekend depsite complaints. Room was very dated, wall paper coming off. 5. Extra fan in bathroom didnt work. 6. Cleaners didnt replace coffee after use. 7. Shower had a slow drip if left in the cold water position. 8. Had to pay for parking in the hotel daily. Note the parling is park of the hotel and not separate so this didnt make sense for a so called 4 star. 9. Block out curtains are too small for the space, both vertically and horizontall. So there was always a gap in the morning, where the sun would wake one up.

Dust on the bathroom windows n dirt behind the toilet cistern. Thorough cleaning and checking should be done by Supervisor. Bedroom carpert not Thoroughly cleaned....Breakfast was perfect though it took time for Omlett to arrive, chips need Thorough cleaning some got dust n spilled soups on the side.Refurbishment and good care wl do,especially the legs.The material is good and a good care wl prolong the LIFESPAN

What I didn’t like was the breakfast on our second day . We booked breakfast Buffy but to our surprise 🤷🏻‍♀️we had to place an order that took like forever,we nearly missed our next appointment,that was not really nice and the Restaurant manager was rude when I explained that I’m already running late if maybe i could take the breakfast with me 🙏

Rishy (7/5): Nice stay - - Very friendly front desk staff esp Daniela, Jessica etc. - The shuttle drivers also were very friendly and assisted whenever I needed a pick-up or drop off nearby. - Location is convenient and not far away from Mandela Square and Sandton Mall. - The bed/mattress and pillows were very comfortable and allowed for nice and relaxing sleep overnight. - A bit of an unpleasant experience in the hotel restaurant for dinner on my first night when for some unknown reason, I was constantly overlooked/ignored by the waiters until I called them after 30 min. Guests who came after me were quickly served/attended to, but not me. Even after placing my order (vegetarian side items), the food took a very long time to come to me. They later apologized when I complained and I was offered a fruit plate as 'compensation'. - The gym is a bit small to accommodate more than 3 people training at once. - Water bottles in the gym are not refilled/replaced in a timely manner.

The only issue was getting downstairs with the heavy luggage upon departure .

The lamb chops ordered for dinner were off and the half board turned out to be conditional even though it had been stated otherwise buy reception staff on check in. Katleho (7/5): Chilled Smoday outing… - Soft bed & great breakfast. Stayed close to the stairs and it was noisy cos of the people & kids around when the went up & down.

Belhassen (6/5): there were positive aspects of my visit, there were also areas that I believe need attention - The waiters at the bar. The service there was excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. It made a noticeable difference in my overall experience, and I truly appreciated their hospitality. Unfortunately, my interaction with the receptionist was not satisfactory. I found the service to be lacking in professionalism and warmth, which made the check-in experience less welcoming than expected. I believe that front desk staff play a key role in shaping first impressions, so this was disappointing.
