Great location close to Denali yet away from all of the busy “resort” locations. Easy to book and good communication with management. Highly recommend these cabins! We wil absolutely return here.
- Kristina (10/5): - This place was great! We enjoyed our stay with Doug the host and River the doggie. Everything was clean and just what we needed. Doug was good with communication. Would come again for sure 😊
- Diana (10/5): - This place was great. We stayed here for 4 nights as we explored around Denali Park. The space was comfortable & super clean. The property is beautiful with great mountain views. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend for anyone coming through the Denali area that doesn’t want a tradition lounge experience.
- Ruth (10/5): - This place is great. It is well-designed and the view is lovely.
- Kenneth (10/5): - The owners have a lovely property with three cabins. Lots of woods in a peaceful setting. Sitting on the front porch is relaxing with a view of the mountains. We even saw the Aurora Borealis. The cabin we rented was clean and had a full kitchen (no dishwasher) and 2 queen beds. The location is convenient to Denali without the traffic. Healy is a small town with a few good restaurants, a small grocery store, and gas stations. There are also Denali flightseeing companies in Healy. We would stay here again.
- Melissa (8/5): - Clean, quiet, close to town a firepit area would have made stay more enjoyable.
- Jaeyoung (10/5): - Away from busy hotel district. They have all I need. Large refrigerator, oven and sink. Nice table and chairs. It was memorable stay.
- Anna (10/5): Excellent and cozy - Beautiful and so cozy. Met the owner and loved the personalized sign:-) on the building.
- Anna (10/5): Excellent and cozy - Beautiful and so cozy. Met the owner and loved the personalized sign:-)
- Amy (10/5): - A perfect place to stay while we explored Denali Park. We loved having the kitchen to make breakfast before we headed out for the day. Just a short 15-20 mins to the park. Very quiet which is what we were looking for after a long day of hiking. Owners were very helpful and sweet. Super easy check in and check out.
- Rebekah (10/5): - This place was adorable with Alaskan feel throughout the cabin, from the bedding to the dishes. Beautiful view of mountains. Quiet location, with access to grill outside. The host even gave us salmon to grill the first night we were there which was amazing. Grocery store is about a mile from the property. Our excursions we booked for Healy were about 11 miles from the cabin we stayed at. We had rented a car for our stay so it was easy to get to the meeting points, and if you are looking for a quiet Alaskan cabin this is the place. Loved this place.
- Rebecca (10/5): - We stayed in several places during our AK adventure, and this was hands down our favorite. Check in was a breeze, and the owners had everything clearly labeled. The views were amazing, and the cabins themself were tidy and well stocked.
- Brad (10/5): - Great lodging. Convenient to local attractions.
- Rob (10/5): - Quiet and convenient
- Keri (10/5): - A great spot. Cute cabins in a quiet area. Close to everything. And good people running it. I would recommend this place to anyone.
- Zhongcai (10/5): - Very well maintained property in a very good location with excellent views and quiet surroundings. Ultra clean and neat. The best among others we stayed in the areas of Anchorage, Denali, Talkeetna, and Fairbanks during this trip!
- Steve (10/5): Great cabin near Denali - The Alaska Spruce Cabin was a great place to stay in the Denali area. There was a great outdoor porch area with a tremendous view of the mountains in the distance. Inside, the beds were comfortable and everything was spotless. The Denali park entrance is about 12 miles away, but most of the shops and restaurants at Denali were closed for the season. In Healy, less than 5 minutes from the cabin, we found the restaurants and grocery stores that kept us happy during our stay. The experience of staying in your own cabin is much superior to getting a room in a motel or inn, and the Alaska Spruce Cabins fit the bill in every way. Highly recommended!
- Mary (10/5): - It had beds, shampoo, conditioner, and internet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing View!!! - Amazing stay at the cabin. Conveniently located next to Denali National Park, restaurants, and grocery store.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved the Alaska Spruce Cabins! - Loved the seclusion and quiet. What a view! Plenty of space. Comfortable beds. Great little kitchen.
My only other comment is that the communication with Hotels.com seemed particularly vague.
- Steve (10/5): - Cabin was ready when we arrived. We really enjoyed our stay. 10 min drive to the park. Perfect.
- Terry (10/5): - Great little cabin!
- Gaurang (10/5): - Quite secluded and comfortable stay, 15-20 mins from Denali NP, which is a big plus point. Also has good eating options near by. Good heating inside the cabin. All the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.
We are vegetarian and we found a Thai food truck mere 4 mins drive from this place. [Healy Thai Food on Parks Hwy]
Definitely recommend this cabin stay to others visiting Denali NP.
- Steven L (8/5): Great spot - The cabin was comfortable, clean, and roomy. Good kitchen and utensils, lots of hot water and a warm heater (which was needed in our stay on the cusp of winter).
The only thing to complain about was the spotty internet. Not much of a complaint since it was a vacation in Alaska.
- Anil (8/5): Comfortable stay in the woods - We loved it. Comfortable stay
- David (10/5): Outstanding - Great cabin.
- Jason (10/5): Clean, Comfortable, and Friendly - Alaska Spruce Cabins is a clean, comfortable, and friendly place to stay.
The cabins have two beds, a kitchen, and bathroom. Our cabin was very comfortable for my son and I. The owner is friendly.
This is a great place to stay if you are looking for something a little ways away from the Denali tourist center. Alaska Spruce Cabins are approximately 15 min from the park entrance.
I would definitely stay here again.
- Franklin (10/5): - Wonderful stay, great location! Cabin was clean and comfortable, beautiful secluded location but short drive to Denali National Park and a few local restaurants.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - this was a cozy cabin that slept 2 couples. The landlords were friendly and helpful. this is a good location for the main entrance to Denali National Park and there is a 49th State Brewery/restaurant very near by. Saw a moose in the driveway.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our group of 4 college-aged travelers thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Spruce Cabins. The hosts are extremely accommodating and we were pleasantly surprised by its proximity to Denali National Park and other really beautiful walks. Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was clean, spacious, well maintained. Doug, the owner, was very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic, comfortable lodging in Healy - Basic, budget accommodation for trip to Denali park. Good location in Healy. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was spacious; could use the addition of a few more cooking pots and pans. Internet was weak / spotty and needs to be fixed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved it. Quiet and nice location friendly clean beds were great
- Lydia (10/5): - Our cabin was clean and comfortable. It was in a great location and perfect for our needs.
- Mary (10/5): Nature at it’s finest - The location was great. The hosts were wonderful and greeted us when we drove in. The dogs came and visited when we were outside, a plus for dog lovers. We saw wildlife from the deck (mama and baby moose). A full kitchen included refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker. All the comforts of home and a grill outside at our disposal. Great views from all angles.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cabins are great and in a quiet location, yet close to anything you’d need.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful cabin comfortable beds and nice and clean
- Sam (10/5): - Nice peaceful environment not far from main road. Only limited cabins which are detached so no noise from neighbors either. Well place in wooded area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was close to Denali. Only 15 minutes not the 45 we thought. Owners do a good job with maintenance and upkeep. They were helpful in finding places to eat and shop. Internet worked very well. My only objection was they had Folgers coffee and I just don’t like it but at least they had plenty of it! We would stay there again if in the area.
- Cynthia (6/5): No WIFI - Absolutely NO WIFI. They say it’s available but we never had service. The side of the refrigerator was spotted with some kind of food particles.
- Ferdie (6/5): - I like the view of the mountain. Close to grocerries store very convenient, but 15 miles from Denali visitors center just let you know.
- Magdalena (10/5): Weekend stay - It was a great weekend stay. The cabin was great and perfect size for a family. The owner greeted me upon arrival and shared some moose pictures as some just walked by. The cabin was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with pots/pans/dishes (wish we had known ahead of time). We hope to be back again!
- Judith (8/5): - Quaint and private location. Very comfy beds, beautiful views and close to Denali. I would recommend and return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We will stay here again - The cabin was very comfortable and quiet with a full kitchen and everything we needed. We will stay here again.
- lorraine (10/5): Beautiful accommodation - Stayed at the cabins in August. The cabin was amazing. The room was warm comfortable and spacious. The view from out deck was so beautiful. So nice to sit and look at the view was so relaxing
- Verified traveler (10/5): Adorable. Close to Denali. - Our cabin exceeded our expectations. Two great beds and a well equipped kitchen greeted our family. Wifi was not too great, but adequate.
- Shuguang (10/5): - Perfect. The best lodge we had in our Alaska trip. I would do it again if possible.
- Morgan (10/5): Peaceful and Convenient - The cabin was in the middle of a spruce Forrest. It was cute and clean just the right size for a couple or small family. The owners were on site. They were helpful and generous but give you space. The location kept the serenity of the park going.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - To be recommended for a stay at Denali: close to park, as well as shopping,
- Rachel (10/5): Lovely Cabin. Great View - Unlike most lodgings in Denali, this spot really is off by itself, but super close to the grocery and restaurants. Yes, you will have to drive a little farther to get into the park (15 mins-ish) but it is completely worth it to be away from the crowds. The Cabin had everything we needed to cook dinner, the owners were very friendly and the view was great. This quiet location will make you feel like you are still in the park.
- Maik (4/5): Nice from outside, not so nice from inside - The Cabin was Self check in / check out, that was great. It also had our name written on the outside so it was easy to find. It looked nice from outside. However, there were many things that bothered us:
- Wifi did not work at all, range too far, when connected it dropped permanently, absolutely not usable
- 2nd bed was loud and kinda broken
- Coffee cooker did not work properly
- no water cooker available
- Fridge was very loud due to a vibrating part on the back, we had to adjust it multiple times to be able to sleep
- party of 3 checked in, they didn't put any extra chair for the 3rd person.
- Microwave partly broken, does not rotate
This was our worst cabin stay in Alaska
- Justine (8/5): Lovely cabin - Cabin view and facilities lovely. Short drive to Denali and there is two small groceries shops, restaurant and laundrette in town. Sadly the male owner was less than polite and was on site. He seemed to see us as an inconvenience.
- Guoli (6/5): Not to the expectations - The cabin is nice and clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. However, there is no internet available and the shower stall is uncomfortably small and shower string is so forecefu that u could barely take shower.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Everything you need in a beautiful surrounding - Very clean with fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in a beautiful rustic area.
