Nice parking space! Our bed was too soft for our taste, sofa is starting to get a little old but it was very comfy, and I’ve missed something to hang our swimming suits on.

mark (8/5): Nice location but not a private as I would have liked - I generally don’t review the motels in New Zealand as they are often struggling to make money due to low margins etc but I will say a little about the Blue Marlin. The location is good and the property was nice and clean. Please take a couple of minutes to read the negatives because I think it’s important for the owners to take on board as it’s a fairly expensive accommodation by New Zealand standards. Firstly I was more than happy to pay the £170 uk for 1 nights stay. As with many properties, because I had pre paid the check in was faceless, I saw no one in charge at all. I’m being a little critical because this property is clearly not struggling to make a profit so these things should be fixed.The next comments are genuinely directed at the management because they must be oversights. I stayed in unit 1 and there was no blind to the toilet window so as a man if you stand in front of the toilet you may well be seen by at least 1 or 2 neighbouring units. I found it an uncomfortable experience, please put a blind up. Next, there is no mirror next to or close to bathroom sink. If you are shaving especially with an electric razor you have to turn around to the wall behind you and use that mirror. Not a problem but there are clean towels below that mirror and they would be covered in shaving hair and also the floor. Please put a mirror next to the sink. Last thing. The location is good but it’s very easy for everyone walking past to look straight into the living area. Please put a thin semi see through curtain in to draw across if a bit of privacy is required in the day time rather than just having the black out blind. I felt a bit like a gold fish in a gold fish bowl. The light material curtain will resolve this. Hope the management find this review useful

Deborah (10/5): Great location, easy and comfortable stay - Waterfront location, easy walk to the town centre, comfortable, kitchen with good sized fridge. We left the car here and walked everywhere. Good cafes nearby.

Stefanie (10/5): - Super Lage und super freundliche Besitzer! Wir hatten ein Apartment im oberen Stock mit Balkon - es war traumhaft. Waschmöglichkeiten gab es auch. Die Wäschespinne im Garten ist sehr praktisch im Sommer. Sehr sauber, großes Bad, Klimaanlage, können es absolut empfehlen, wir wären gerne länger geblieben.
Deborah (9/5): Somewhere where you could happily stay longer - Upstairs light and airy apartment with modern fittings and Bathroom. Our host was so friendly and helpful. Beach sounds from the apartment was really lovely with outdoor table and chairs was lovely. Short walk to restaurants and bars and the main road and marina. The sheer curtain above the bed allowed 6 am sunshine in.
Esmee (7/5): - The studio was well appointed The toilet - very poor flushing mechanism, when we raised this with the owner she was aware of the problem but said she wasn't going to spend the necessary money on such a small studio. Solids took many flushes to disappear.
