We also managed to get "free parking' everynight so happy about that Great location. You can walk to most places. I did every museum in Reykyavik. Longest walk was 20 min each way. The attic stairs were a bit much for my hubby who uses a cane - no ones falt. Mybe i should have enquiired. The owner took all our suitcases up for us. So that was much appriciated I loved it. ! Very quiet

We had the family suite, it included a kitchen that had everything we needed to cook basic meals which is a big savings! The host was super responsive to questions and very kind. Parking was free and easy- street parking but you didn’t have to fight for it which was very appreciated.

It was clean, well furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. I particularly liked the free tea and coffee pods and there was milk and sugar. There was lots of information for shops & food. The location was so amazing. Almost on doorstep of the big main church and literally a 10 minute walk from main bus station. Everything about it was perfect. -

The bed was really comfy, and the room temp was perfect. We had various kinds of tea and a coffee machine with coffee. The location is the best here for people like us (without a car). It is 8 mins walk from BSI bus terminal, and just right in front of the Halgrimskirkja. The staff was so kind! Thank you so much for making our days in Reykjavík :) I don't really have anything to complain..

- Cindy (10/5): excellent guesthouse stay; would definitely book again! - great location! wonderful bed. the mango smoothies and chocolate lemon cake were delicious. i was a bit concerned about the shared bathroom facilities, but they worked fine with three bathrooms for ten rooms. everyone was very conscientious about leaving the shared space clean. parking on the street was not an issue. the room was a bit warm with the heat of the sun, but we opened our door and got the cross breeze from the kitchen which helped. a fan would have been perfect (i didn't ask if there was one available).

We were checked in late and need check out very early , but the host has given very clear instruction for us to pick up the access card. Everything is clean and the kitchen well equipped. There is even complimentary smoothies everyday in the fridge , such warm gesture :) The bathroom tends to be a bit cold

Pokoj velmi malý, bez stolečku, kde by se dalo pracovat na notebooku. Pokud narazíte na hlučné sousedy, jde vše slyšet, z chodby i pokojů.
- Kari Kirsten (9/5): Very large rooms with excellent beds in prime location with free on-the-street parking - Freyja Guesthouse is in a quiet and great location in Reykjavík and within easy walking distance to nearly all of the tourist attractions and other Reykjavik amenities like public pools. The rooms are very large — especially by Icelandic standards — and the shared kitchen with assigned fridge shelves, microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc was great to have. The beds and bed linens were super comfortable. There is also free parking on the street where the property is located. My only complaint was the behavior of other guests who didn’t clean up after themselves in the shared kitchen and shared bathroom and who monopolized the shared bathroom. This is not Guesthouse Freyja’s fault, but visitors should be aware. I believe that the guesthouse is renovating the property in 2025-26 to provide private bathrooms in all rooms.

Posizione ottimale per raggiungere il centro a piedi ma anche per trovare facilmente parcheggio. Alloggio perfetto, pulito, spazioso ed equipaggiato con tutto l'occorrente anche nell'angolo cottura. Host, disponibile e premuroso. Ottimo anche il fatto di avere un ingresso indipendente (nel nostro caso) dal resto della struttura. Nulla da segnalare
- Raya (10/5): - This is a wonderful place, perfectly located in the heart of Reykjavik. The rooms are clean, cozy, and feel just like home. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming. A big bonus — there’s plenty of free parking near the guesthouse. We definitely recommend it! :)

- Kaushik (8/5): India 🇮🇳 to Iceland 🇮🇸 trip - Location and behavior of Guest house staff. They communicated well through Booking.com. They helped me out with laundry and called me a cab at the time of leaving. They also provided me with invoice in advance. On the day of check-in the owners/staff were not present. So it was a bit inconvenient. They had some prior commitment and communicated earlier through Booking.com. There are common washrooms. However, I feel one more washroom needed considering number of rooms available.
- HChen (10/5): Comfy and modern guesthouse - Our family suite was very well appointed. I was sad we stayed there for only one night, I would loved to have spent more time in this beautiful suite. The guesthouse in general looked to be a nice building. It's walking distance from the beautiful church. Street parking only.

Definitely recommended, our only choice when we go back. - It was just a few minutes walk from downtown shopping and dining areas, easy to find as it was next to the Hallgrímskirkja Church. It was clean and had everything we need, we felt right at home. The staff/owners are super friendly. Ingo was great in communicating with us and answering questions few weeks before we arrived. None.
- Michael (10/5): - Will stay here every time we are in Reykjavik. Super convenient to everything, parking is easy and free nearby. They have free bikes you can use and super cozy sitting areas and well stocked kitchens. I cannot express my gratitude enough about how wonderful the owners treated us. They made us feel like dear friends and took such wonderful care of us. This place is a true and rare gem.
- Jeanne (8/5): Comfortable 2 night stay near Hallgrimskirkja - The location is super close to Hallgrimskirkja. From the top floor you can see it from the window. It's easy walking distance to Skólavörðustígur Rainbow Street, Harpa Concert Hall and Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable. There were blackout curtains, which were very helpful. Breakfast wasn't included but there were smoothies waiting for us in the fridge each morning. We also got 10% off at cafe a couple blocks away, but we didn't take advantage of that. There was also cake, coffee and tea available in the kitchen area and top floor lounge space. The parking could be difficult depending on what time of day/night you were looking.

- Kathleen (10/5): Clean, comfy spot with friendly staff in a very central location. - The room was nice and at the top of the stairs was a large comfy space for guests to spend some downtime - here there was an honor bar, comfy sofa and chair and an extra bathroom. The shared kitchen was really great and had free coffee :) I was a little concerned about a "shared bathroom," but it was no problem at all and there was an extra full bathroom off the upstairs lounge area that could probably be used if someone was in your shared bathroom when you needed it. The location of the Freyja Guest House couldn't have been better. Maybe the parking? But we found a free space without any issue. I was just a little confused at first and someone yelled at me because I pulled into a space that was in front of her driveway - which was obvious after she let me know, but not clear as I pulled in.

- Gregory (10/5): - I loved everything about Freyja Guesthouse & Suites! The property is quiet, warm, and comfortable. You will easily feel right at home. It is a short walk from the central bus terminal as well as Hallgrimskirkja and surrounding shops. The family who runs the place is super friendly, trustworthy, and helpful. Next time I am in Reykjavik, I will be staying here again.

- Erna (10/5): A great choice! - Location is the best part of this little gem of a guest house, but the and hospitality and kindness of the people running it was a close second. Iceland is expensive no matter where you stay, however with that in mind, we felt that this place was very much worth it. Perfect place for our last few days in Reykjavík.
- MOHAMMAD (4/5): - At the time of booking, it was mentioned in the description that there is free parking. My impression was there will be confirmed parking for my car. But the reality was that I had to search the free parking in nearby areas around the hotels. There was no parking being provided by the hotel. The description was misguiding. I end up wasting a lot of my time in search of the parking. Additionally, the bathroom was shared, which was not clear from the description at the time of booking. Nonetheless, the reception lady did her best to get me a parking, she really helped although she was a bit sick that day, and I am very thankful for her help. But my issue is the description of the oropis not precise and leads to unpleasant surprises and shocks l.

- humann (10/5): - Location, kitchens, free smoothies, top floor lounge is so cute with great views. The staff are so kind and helpful. I was a little nervous about the shared bathroom but there are only a few rooms sharing, they stayed clean and there is one on every floor so if one is occupied you can go to another.
