There was a wedding next door on a Saturday, even with earplugs and noise cancelling earphone it was still to loud to sleep - they make the room at random hour, they forget water, no sign to say we don’t want them to come - not a quiet place, more a family place. The adjacent street, brings a lot of noise as well as parties on the beach

• Giuseppe (7/5): Ups and downs - Pool was defo the highlight. Clean and very well organised. The Mapango restaurant is awesome. Staff very friendly. I’ve appreciated the guards keeping beach boys away. The bathroom was the lowest point of the experience. The toilet itself was leaking, we asked to fix it and it was promptly done but when I got back in the room the whole bathroom was filthy with mud and footprints. Probably went to fix and no one cleaned after. Shower head to be changed. Bidet splashing everywhere.

• Efrat (4/5): - The location is perfect. The resort offers a large pool and a beach access at a very centered area. Check in experience was great and the staff was very nice. The room we got was in a poor condition. The room was in incline, the toilet was unstable as it was not connected to the floor properly, the sheets as stained, the water at the shower and the tab was salty. Overall we expected a nice resort room and got a room where we just wanted to escape from.

• Matteo (10/5): Super consigliato, non vedo l’ora di tornare - La professionalità e la gentilezza dello staff che ti fanno sentire a casa, la pulizia della struttura nonostante ci siano dei ritocchini da fare, la disponibilità nel consigliare come muoversi. La posizione è perfetta, fronte oceano con a disposizione 2 piscine. L’animazione è presente e per niente insistente ma ti invogliano a partecipare. Purtroppo la connessione con il WiFi è instabile, l’unico piccolo neo. Ma noi siamo abituati ad essere sempre connessi.

Il transfer dall'aeroporto nonostante ci sia scritto che è disponibile è a pagamento.

• MayaRomy (7/5): Bello...ma - Sono stato al Lily Palm Resort a Watamu e voglio condividere la mia esperienza. Gestione e personale eccezionali: cordiali, efficienti e sempre attenti. Cucina_ punto forte, buffet vario e gustoso. Nota positiva: piscina pulita costantemente, davvero apprezzato. La struttura però, delude. A parte il giardino curato, tutto appare fatiscente: lettini in spiaggia e in piscina vecchi, da sostituire al più presto. Visto il numero degli ospiti, bisognerebbe aumentare lettini e posti all’ombra e invitare a rimuovere gli asciugamani dai lettini se si sta via più di due ore, così da lasciare posto agli altri. Peccato, perché posizione e gestione meritano 4 stelle ma l’immobile non è all’altezza. Un suggerimento: a colazione, succhi freschi e marmellate homemade invece di quelle confezionate darebbero un tocco di classe in più. Spero che la direzione investa in manutenzione e rinnovo per offrire un’esperienza all’altezza del servizio."

• simone (3/5): - La disponibilita di tutto il personale, sempre sorridente Le camere superior, sono posizionate di fronte al generatore di corrente di tutto il resort, con rumore abbondante principalmente nelle ore notturne, piu al deposito dei rifiuti generale, che viene svuotato a giorni alterni, ed emana un odore molto pesante, sempre presente e costante, per tutti gli ospiti che vanno al ristorante, piscina o spiaggia di passaggio, invece H 24 per i piu fortunati che hanno pensato erroneamente come me di soggiornare in una superior. Fatto presente il problema non e' stato fatto niente, dovevamo stare con la porta e finestre chiuse, fino a quando ho scritto un messaggio alla struttura tramite booking.com. e il giorno dopp mi hanno dato la pissibilita di cambiare camera per gli altri due giorni rimanenti tornando ad una di categoria inferiore, senza rimborso della differenza di prezzo. In italia non potrebbe stare aperto una struttura del genere con i controlli che abbiamo. Mi dispiace per tutte le persone locali che ci lavorano, sempre sorridenti e disponibili. Evitate, ci sono molte strutture vicine dove tutto scorre in armonia

• India (7/5): - The location of the hotel in fantastic. We looked online as we were a bit confused about the maps locations and pictures of the pool by the sea but there’s a little walkway down. The staff and animation team are very friendly and the resort is well located. The hotel felt aged and the facilities didn’t feel clean as a result despite the fantastic cleaning staff. It is purely down to facilities! We opted for B&B but didn’t realise that throughout the day this also meant we couldn’t get water unless we paid at the bar. Very minor, but did make a difference!

Posizione ottima, raggiungibile a piedi il centro ed e ovviamente la spiaggia essendo che il resort affaccia sulla spiaggia di watamu. A piedi si può raggiungere pure l'isola dell'amore. Pulizia in camera e nell'interno resort impeccabile. Lo staff di una gentilezza rara da trovare in altri posti. Il cibo vario e ottimo, camerieri simpatici e gentilissimi, idem lo staff della reception. Accolgono ogni tua richiesta. Sono stati 12 giorni meravigliosi, le piscine top.. sempre pulite. L'animazione molto divertente e ti fa passare il tempo nel resort molto piacevole. Non ho nessuna nota negativa, per la prima volta in africa non potevo fare scelta migliore!

• Laura (4/5): Nicht zu empfehlen: Italien anstatt Kenia - Lage direkt am Strand, schöne Zimmer, grosse Veranda, die Hotelanlage inkl. Zimmer und Veranda sind sauber, das Essen schmeckt gut bis sehr gut, Kühlschrank im Zimmer, sehr freundliches Personal – abgesehen von einem sehr unfreundlichen Receptionisten. Sehr lauter Generator, direkt vor unserem ziemlich teuren Zimmer, anstatt hinter den günstigeren Standardzimmern bei der Reception, siehe Video. Möglicherweise ärgert man sich weniger, wenn man ein günstiges Pauschalangebot gebucht hat. Doch wenn man das Zimmer ohne Flug bucht, weil man am herumreisen ist, kostet dies relativ viel und man wünscht sich erst recht ein ruhiges Zimmer, um sich erholen zu können. Lily Palm ist Italien, nicht Kenia! Man wird auf Italienisch angesprochen, es läuft hauptsächlich italienische Musik – sogar der Soundtrack von Lion King ist auf italienisch, die Wasserarmatur in der Dusche mit C für caldo und F für Freddo angeschrieben, es gibt ein Bidet, was typisch Italienisch ist, auf der Menukarte im Restaurant steht die Italienische Beschreibung in grossen Lettern mit einer kleinen Englischen Übersetzung darunter, die völlig überflüssige Abendanimation von 22 bis 23 Uhr wird auf Italienisch moderiert, auf dem Buffet ist alles auf Italienisch beschriftet, die Antworten innerhalb von Booking.com waren auf Italienisch, obwohl ich immer auf Englisch geschrieben habe. Sehr unsympathisch! Ich habe Ferien in Kenia gebucht, nicht in Italien. Zudem ist das Hotel nicht wirklich international. Die überwiegende Mehrheit der Gäste sind aus Italien. Die Tische beim Buffet-Restaurant sind mit der Zimmernummer beschriftet, so wie man in Italien an einem Strand einen nummerierten Liegestuhl zugewiesen bekommt. Wir würden deshalb nie an so einem Italienischen Strand Ferien machen. Umso unsympathischer ist diese importierte Praxis in Kenia. Beim Frühstück gibt es Instantkaffee, siehe Bild. Wenn man einen guten Kaffee möchte, muss man diesen an der Bar bestellen und zusätzlich bezahlen. Einmal war der Barkaffee schlecht und mein Partner hatte den ganzen Tag über Bauchschmerzen. Am Abend musste er sich übergeben und blieb dem Nachtessen fern. Ich versuche stattdessen Kamillentee für ihn zu erhalten.
• D'ALESSANDRO (8/5): La scelta giusta per un soggiorno a Watamu - Ottima posizione, bellissima spiaggia e camere, organizzazione di gite e sicurezza, oltre che pulizia. Avevamo prenotato il transfer dall'aeroporto, ma nonostante avessimo confermato anche il giorno prima non è venuto nessuno a prenderci. Trovo che questa mancanza sia stata gestita male perché non siamo stati nemmeno avvertiti, abbiamo chiamato noi dopo mezz'ora in inutile attesa. Dopo ci hanno detto che avrebbero mandato un'altra macchina attendendo altri 30min (tot attesa in piedi fuori dall'aeroporto 1h), ma abbiamo preferito prendere un taxi.

Difficile l'accesso al ristorante e alla spiaggia a causa di scalinate con gradini di diverse altezza e senza corrimano. Rischiano di essere davvero pericolose anche solo per persone con lievi difficoltà motorie.

But good access to - Staff were very friendly, property does have good beach access but it is a 5 min walk through the property to the beach Food was average, resort says no reserving sun beds but would allow other guests to do it. Rooms don’t have blankets only thin sheets. Shower didn’t always have great pressure or hot water. Water bottles in room aren’t replaced.

• Nadia (6/5): Vacanza al risparmio - Piscine Stanza superior Mapango si affaccia su strada dove gli schiamazzi notturni vanno avanti fino alle 3. Nessun rimprovero dalle guardie a chi stava fuori. Rumori di auto, urla, schiamazzi, motorini. Allucinante. Lettini in piscina tutti rotti e rovinati, così come cuscini sporchi e rovinati, teli mare tutti macchiati. Verde circostante molto lasciato andare così come la spiaggia zeppa di Beach boys fuori controllo. Gli stessi te li trovi a chiamarti , urlarti anche mentre si passeggia dalle stanze verso la reception in quanto il resort affianca una stradina che porta al mare di libero accesso. Ci sono le guardie a controllare che non entrino ma li lasciano comunque urlarti da fuori e non lasciarti in pace all'interno. Imbarazzante. Pensione completa ma senza possibilità di bere un bicchiere d'acqua gratuito fuori dai pasti, boccioni non presenti in struttura salvo sala da pranzo. Tutto gestito al risparmio, e si vede.

• Guest (8/5): Gentilezza e ottima posizione - Il personale è gentile e disponibile, la struttura di per sé è molto bella e centrale quindi un'ottima base di partenza per esplorare watamu. Pulizia buona e cibo al buffet altrettanto per essere in un altro continente. I bagni delle stanze hanno bisogno di manutenzione perchè un po' vecchi e con ruggine, inoltre consiglio di inserire i battenti alla finestra per evitare che entrino caldo e zanzare (ci sono solo zanzariera e tenda).

• Yousif (6/5): - Breakfast and Dinner was good, the working staff were super friendly and welcome. Pools water was clean, beach was dirty because of sea grass. We got two free small bottles of water in the first day, we stayed for six night, the instruction from management was to provide one time water only despite for how many days the client is staying, if you need water, you need to buy it from the bar, that was a cheap behavior.

• 1977III (10/5): - Il resort gode di un'ottima posizione sul mare è inoltre vicino alle bellissime spiagge di Garonda e Sardegna2 Le camere vengono pulite tutti i giorni,dispongono sia di un mini frigo che di cassaforte. il wifi prende in tutta la struttura le piscine sono adatte sia ai bambini che agli adulti e sono sempre sorvegliate. Lo staff è meraviglioso sempre gentile e pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. Colazione abbondante ed internazionale All'interno del resort è presente un ufficio per il cambio ed un negozietto

• Ketija (8/5): Fantastiska viesnīca ar nepatīkumu pārsteigumu pludmalē - Ļoti labs personāls - vienmēr pozitīvi noskaņoti, darbinieki draudzīgi, nāk aprunāties! Liels, plašs peldbaseins, blakus izcils restorāns ar fantastisku picu! Izejot no viesnīcas teritorijas uz pludmali, burtiski ne mirkli nebijām divatā — vienlaicīgi vairāki vietējie iedzīvotāji nepārtraukti nāca klāt un piedāvāja savus pakalpojumus. Arī atkārtoti lūdzot mūs atstāt vienus, situācija nemainījās, un līdz okeānam mierīgi aiziet neizdevās. Jāpiemin, ka izejot pastaigā pa ielām, situācija bija ļoti laba un nebija kā pludmalē.
• Sara (10/5): Soggiorno Fantastico! - Super consigliato! Gentilezza dello staff oltre le aspettative, vieni coccolato dal primo istante. Il buffet vario e curato, con pesce e/o carne grigliata sul momento, frutta e dolci diversi ogni giorno. Nella spa da provare i massaggi: le ragazze sono bravissime e professionali e creano un ambiente davvero rilassante!! Animatori davvero simpatici con cui abbiamo condiviso aperitivi e chiacchierate post-cena che non dimenticheremo. L'ambiente degli ospiti del resort molto giovane ci ha aiutato a creare tante amicizie. Reception disponibile 24h su 24. Alcune bibite come caffè, cappuccino non sono incluse ma hanno un prezzo molto in linea, dunque le aggiunte son davvero poche. Camera un po' datata ma comoda, dotata di bidet, carina e pulita anche più volte al giorno! Ti sentivi a casa! Di sera spettacoli e uscite di gruppo organizzate. Non possiamo che sperare di tornarci!! Ps: unica pecca i beach boys all'uscita dell'hotel o in spiaggia. Ma la zona spiaggia del lilypalm è sorvegliata dallo staff e, in ogni caso, dopo qualche giorno in Kenya impari a "gestire" anche i beach boys 😂

The animation team is doing a great job with the daily activities, and the service team at the dinning area are also very nice and friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and I will definitely come back for the 3rd time.
