- Gwendolyn (4/5): Ok, but Room 115 smelled like heavy smoke - I liked the location because I was attending a class reunion. The room smelled like smoke. I had to air it out before I could enter it and unload my things. It was hard to sleep in a smoke-filled room. I wanted to request a different room, but I did check in early and I needed to get dressed for my event.

- Anita (1/5): Not a good place to stay dangerous - Nothing The environment
- Lupe (6/5): - We chose this property because it was close to the wedding venue we attended. It was convenient to shopping and food. The room was clean but the beds were not comfortable. We only stayed one night so it was ok.
- Nixon (10/5): Exceptional - It was clean, great location. Great place to stay for the price I didn’t have any interaction with the staff my husband did and he had no complaints. Would stay again
- Patrick (8/5): Very good - Easy access
- Michael (8/5): - Clean room and fresh sheets
- Amy (4/5): Not nice - Had to leave within 2 hours due to mold smell. The situation gave me a horrible headache and sinus problems. we left without checking out. I would not recommend.
- Morgan (9/5): Superb - The room was clean and cozy and is a decent size and in a good location My only problem was the remote was kinda odd didn't want to work right but was able to change on the TV so wasn't a big problem
- Jabar (9/5): Superb -
- Tonya (10/5): - Laid out like a motel, but very clean inside and the staff was nice. For the price it was well worth it. Super cheap!
- Emmett (6/5): - Property was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a joke. Cold coffee, food looked like it was a couple days old. Fortunately Buccee’s is right next door.
- Teresa (6/5): Dirty! - Beside Buc-ees Very dirty floors and bathroom had bugs
- Carl (10/5): - everuthong great
- sherri (10/5): - Comfortable
- Gwendolyn (5/5): Comfy - Convenient next to Walmart and other restaurants. The furniture in the room was dated.
- Leopoldo (8/5): Very good -
- Victoria (10/5): - This is our 3rd time staying here and will continue to book here every time we are visiting Wharton. The room is perfect, very comfortable.
- Andre (8/5): Very good - Convenient location I have stayed here many times. There always seem to be other guests up between 2am-5am making a lot of noise with no consideration for others. Management needs to address this.
- Gaston (1/5): Don't spend your hard working money in a poor operating place. - Did not enjoy at all. We check in app 3:30, left out stuff in room. Left to catch up with couple friends for early dinner. Returned app 2 hour later. After returning, shortly after had to use the bathroom. Noticed it did not flush. So I went to main office and asked if we could be moved to another room after explaining situation. They refused to move us due to having a 30 min window to check window, which was not told to us we had 30 min. There was no way I was gonna have my family stay at a play with out propper sanitation. We found another hotel down the street that we had to go to. So we went back to the office to ask for money back cause we are checking out at 6:17 pm. Our request was denied. So after checking out we asked for a copy of our room of what time we check in and check out. There response was they do not do such a thing. So we left. Then when we checked in into another hotel. We reached out to booking.com. we explained the situation. They reached out to the hotel. Then we were told they could not help us. So don't stay at this place, BTW they had roaches n rodents in there so called continental breakfast area. So stay at the holiday in express suites on the other side of the freeway. They actually give you paperwork in your check out and really good continental breakfast.
- Richard (6/5): - No frills or anything special, but clean older property at a fair price.
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable Met expectations
- Robert (3/5): No running water for entire stay, not informed when res. made. Shower, sink, toilet not usable. - Location was good, convenient. NO WATER! Water to facility had been turned off but I wasn't informed of this when PAID reservation was made. Water did not come back on the next morning either.
This is another facility where the owners are trying to get everything out of it and put nothing or little into it. Room was OK, furniture and furnishes were old, stained, worn. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.
- Robert (6/5): Pleasant - Not very good Better quality needed
- Ramirez (9/5): Superb -
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carter (5/5): It was a pleasant stay. - Room was clean TV didn't work. The chair was awful. I didn't like the room location.
- Rebekah (6/5): Pleasant - It was okay They didn't have a room for disabled people
- Winona (10/5): - Very clean, updated room. Parking lot well lit. Bed was super comfortable. Will stay here again.
- Charles (10/5): - It was good
- Ernestine (10/5): - Close and clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was nice
- Andre (7/5): Cozy country setting that meets expecations for the price - I didn't have breakfast and the location is excellent. They need to adjust the shades to stop so much sunligth from entering the room in the morning.
- Erika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niomi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jose (8/5): - It was easy access to freeway but at the same time our door was almost forced open by staff member.
- Yolanda (6/5): - No shampoo and conditioners and bar soap was tiny. Won’t be returning. Door didn’t lock.
- Curtis (6/5): - When do you put a coffee maker in the bathroom?????? Nasty and unsanitary. Ther was plenty of space available thru out the room for the coffee maker. Alot of space in the room looked wasted. This room was more for someone staying for longer periods of time.
- Thomas (8/5): - The rooms are very functional, staff is nice, check-in process was very good. It is a very good value for the price paid.
- Vincent (6/5): - Staff not to friendly
- William (7/5): Good -
- Vincent (8/5): - It was good enough for the night, clean and staff were friendly. no big rig or truck and trailer parking. But I should have checked first
- Flores (10/5): Exceptional -
- Baylee (4/5): Disappointing -
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Refugio (8/5): Very good -
- Beth (2/5): - Pillows were terrible, no shampoo, towels were awful, breakfast was horrible. No coffee, fake eggs and sausage was bad
- Dee (1/5): Bad - Nothing. It wasn't very clean, beds were terrible, pillows like pancakes. I would not stay there again.
- Magda (10/5): Enjoyed the night stay. - Nice shutters. And bucees. Nice location.
- Willie (5/5): Passable -
- Douglas J (10/5): - Always clean
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional - I always stay here during hunting season. For the price it’s a great stay, friendly staff with clean rooms.
- Trish (5/5): Passable -
- Clifford (5/5): Got no rest due to bed problem. Otherwise all was well. - All was well except the bed, The bed had something broken in its structure that made loud noises with any movement in trying to sleep. It needs to be repaired or replaced.
- Hayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Garcia-granados (10/5): Exceptional -
- Theresa (4/5): - Breakfast was limited, bins were empty. Scrambled eggs were dried up. Tables were not washed.
Very noisy as staff started to clean rooms very early.
Rooms were cleaned upon arrival.
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional - Close to the high way and clean
- Julie (6/5): One nighter - We think its a workers hotel. When we arrived there was alot of young men just hanging around the parking lot and on the upper level. The room was spacious and fairly clean. The bed and pillows were great. Very small area and selection for breakfast. However for the price it is definitely worth staying there.
- Edwatd (9/5): Very enjoyable - The size of the rooms Everything was fine ve
- Andre (5/5): Nothing special, but adequate. - location next to a Walmart and Bucees. Shades are poor. Too much light gets in the room from the parking lot lights and regular daylight.
- Araceli (10/5): - Convenient, clean & quiet. Breakfast available was just enough. Will stay again
- Dleatx (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (8/5): Would stay there again. Best value for money. - The A/C was great. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely accomodating. The hotel was old, but in good condition.
- Kelsey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Delores (9/5): Superb - Good Service
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Herschell (8/5): Very good -
- Myrl (10/5): Exceptional -
- J (4/5): The Devil is in the Details. - Very comfortable bed and large spacious room. Cotton sheets would have been nicer but the polyester sheets weren't terrible.
I also saw that the front desk staff was readily helping the cleaning staff in the afternoon. Deferred maintenance and poor craftsmanship. The broken door lock was featured in a review five (5) years ago and it's still broken. The door did not seal shut in its frame and allowed light and hot air all around it.
The recent remodeling is of poor execution and looks unfinished. Such as the tile work outside. Morter is spread everywhere. It looks like the contractor never cleaned up.
The slatted window covering was nice looking but allowed the bright lights of the parking lot to shine in all night.
Towels had hair tangled in the terrycloth and one actually looked used and put back on the rack.
I think someone had been given the room before me but did not stay. Reason is the TV was on and there were boot prints in the droplets on the floor in front of the toilet.
The removal of the carpet and addition of hard floors left the floors a target for cleaning issues. Mop marks and footprints were everywhere. Hair on the floor and stuck to the base of the toilet.
Beware the rolling chair on the hard floor. When I pulled forward to see my computer screen easier, the chair rolled back out from under me and shot across the room. There I was laying on the floor in a mater of seconds. "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up."
I know it sounds like I'm petty but once you see one issue you start seeing a flood of other issues. I'm going to digress at this point.
- sabrina (10/5): - nice place to stay !!!!!i will be back the 8-26-23
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- Ted (8/5): Very good -
