- david (8/5): Average Hampton undergoing renovations - Rooms are typical older Hampton Inn designs. They are currently being renovated. Location is near restaurants and coffee shops. Construction is going on during the day. Elevators are covered for construction. Hotel store is very limited.

- M9127HJjudithg (10/5): The Hampton Inn in Amesbury: Great Location and Great Hotel - We are Hilton loyalty members and were happy to see the Hampton Inn so close to our residence to book a stay for our son's visit with his two children. They were delighted with their lovely room. It looked like it had been updated recently. The 'tweens were happy with the pool. They had stayed at the Doubletree in Danvers that has a huge pool (as part of a fitness center), but despite the smaller size, they had a great time there for most of the week. The family also enjoyed the free breakfasts. One of the best things about the Hampton Inn in Amesbury is its location! It is easy to find, right off rt 95. Amesbury offers many, many options for dinner from pizza to Mexican to Italian to American bistro! Amesbury also has lots of shops like a great toy store, candy shop, jewelry store, and other places to enjoy walking around if the weather allows. There is also a strip mall within walking distance that has a grocery store and other shops to explore. We will definitely use this hotel again in the future!

Unfortunately I stayed during storm and a pipe broke by back door but the staff made sure everyone was safe in the lobby and drove whoever needed a ride across the street to another hitel.They went above and beyond their duties especially during the bad January snowstorm! Unforeseen event of pipe breaking during storm everything else was exceptional!

- Eileen (9/5): Well run and clean building combined with a friendly and efficient staff made for a nice visit - Room was spacious, not cramped; clean and appointed as advertised, with everything in good working condition. With the exception of the elevators, the lobby, the breakfast area, the hallways, the stairways and the rooms were all exceptionally clean. Elevators were clean but they looked like they were maybe being updated -- so there was painters tape and cardboard on the walls, clearly a temporary situation. Room was quiet, warm and was a nice respite for a quick visit to the area.

Shower heads great—nice water pressure. Pleasant staff. Coffee, tea, and hot cocoa in the lobby appreciated. The tables in the dining area were high for the chairs. I wished there had been a cozy sitting room with dim lighting, and perhaps a fireplace, but I realize that would be a high expectation. Would love to see plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened) at breakfast.

Beds are too high; bathrooms have low toilets (not what is called “comfort” height that many need), no grab bars in bathroom; shower lacked a Bench: lacking a bench, they also did not have sufficient quantity of shower chairs to meet the needs of customers utilizing their “ accessible rooms; need hand held shower also

It was an excellent place to stay for 3 days as we visited with family we had not seen in years. Great place to stay and have an excellent breakfast each morning. The hotel was conveniently located for our trip - Parking - Free, and you could always find a spot - Air Conditioning - worked very well - Price - I would say it was fair Cons: - The Bathroom door was a sliding door with gaps around, i.e., not much privacy. - For some reason, the floors in the bathroom always felt sticky. I don't think the housekeeping vacuumed all the corners of the room. - Breakfast was so-so. Compared to other Hampton Inns, it was average.

The bathroom was dated (the toilet was badly cracked) and could use an upgrade. Also, one of the electric points on the table lamp was not working and I found dust on all the fixtures. Housekeeping can be improved.

Having stayed here in years prior to this transition, I was very disappointed. Very pricey for what you get.

- Leah (10/5): Hampton Inn Amesbury is a lovely place to stay. - Hampton Inn Amesbury is a lovely place that I've stayed at a number of times when seeing family and I always have a good stay here. Amesbury is a beautiful town with fun shops, restaurants, artisanal goods and crafts, coffee shops, Cider Hill Farms and more. I liked everything.
