Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): Clean room, friendly staff - One night stay. Clean room, friendly staff
- Melchor (10/5): - It was clean
- Alvaro (6/5): Its ok - Floor was very dirty. Rooms were very hot. The AC in room 135 did not work at all. Big rooms friendly staff but they gotta do more QC inspections in the rooms.
- William (2/5): - AC unit was in the sun, the coldest tap water was over 100, no ice machine. Checked in to get over hear exhaustion, but I got worse. Left after 20 minutes.
- Lynda (10/5): - A/C wasn’t cooling off after 4 hours of being in the room.
- Joseph (6/5): - I was upset that my room was hot no ac on. tv did not work went to front desk asked him to change out tv while I was out fishing and he told me that he would change it after I returned. I told him it would be after 2 am and he said that I did not need the tv if I was getting back that late.
- Laura (6/5): - everything was good except the water took a long time to get hot
- Dulcey (10/5): - As always the rooms are clean and service is great. Close to all the things we want to do when we visit Yuma.
- Pedro (2/5): - Well, the room air conditioner did not work which made it horrible and miserable. There was no cold water at all and the hot water was intolerable to take a bath. The room next door to me clouple complained to me about the air conditioner and the hot water that burned them, on top of that they got locked out because key knob was not operating and they had to switch room.
- Jill (10/5): - Convenient, super friendly, great tv options.
- Pedro (2/5): - The air-conditioned was awful and I was hot the entire time I was in the room.
- Bradley (10/5): - Great value - safe, clean enough, tv working, service focussed staff
- Warner (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. Friendly staff.

- Robert (10/5): - Nice
- Melinda (10/5): - I love set up the room
- Idalia (10/5): - .
- Ammely (6/5): - If you’re looking for a clean, safe, inexpensive place to stay for a few days, this is it. Not as quiet as I expected, as you can definitely hear the people in the rooms next to yours. Otherwise, it was a good experience.
- dale (8/5): - location was great, deacore was dated.price was good
- Zachary (10/5): - When i want an affordable weekend all to myself, i go to El Rancho Motel and enjoy being in my own company immensely Namasté
- Melinda (10/5): - Nice
- Danny (10/5): Gjj - Beautiful
- Dennis (10/5): - Good location, clean and quiet.
- Julia (10/5): - It was very clean and quiet. Didn’t have any issues. Everyone was very polite.
- Melinda (10/5): - Cleanliness
- megan (10/5): - Got to smoke in the room like it’s 1993! Great family rubs it. Checkin took 30 seconds. Hot shower, comfy bed… couldn’t ask for more for $50/ night.
- James (10/5): - It’s an older motel but it is relatively clean on comfortable. I would stay here again
- Joe (10/5): You will love it Here - I can’t say enough about how happy my stay was. From the moment I came through the door the staff (family run) were warm and inviting. The room was great, clean and restful. Location is within walking distance for groceries or restaurants. If your looking for a affordable place the ElRancho is the place to be
- John (10/5): - Nicely old fashioned furnishings. Easy walk to simple food. Comfortable and clean.
- Brittany (10/5): - I would most definitely recommend this motel, very quiet, wifi and cable is excellent, rooms are very nice and clean. Had an amazing stay.
- Miya M (8/5): Nice hotel - This is an older hotel. The rooms are a good size and the bed I slept on was very comfortable. They have lots of television channels, refrigerators and microwave in every room. While they maybe due for a few upgrades on the property-this was a very nice place to stay!
- Miguel (10/5): - Very good staff
- christine (6/5): - Okay..quiet..tv didn’t work…wifi good..price good..old motel needed table and chairs in the room…
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lights on nightstand would be nice. Overhead lights too bright if 1 person wants to read at bedtime
- Jason (6/5): - It was good!
- Diane (10/5): - Clean
- Donald (2/5): - Refrigerator was filthy inside. Bathroom floor had dirt mold in corners and along base boards of entire room. There was gritty sand crumbs. Between bed sheets
- Joseph (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Patrick (2/5): - This property was scummy, the cold water didn’t work…which is crazy! And other people said their room was the same way. Never stay here, it should be condemned. The empty pool in the middle of the property should be a dead give away.
- Marissa (2/5): One of the worst experiences ever - Do not stay here! The first room had hot air coming out of the AC so we switched rooms after the front desk came in and felt the hot air. But the next room was still so hot we had to wet our clothes &we had a baby with us! I wanted a cold shower for me & the baby but that was not possible & the water was so hot it would've burned your skin. The pool was bone dry, the beds had dirt all over the comforter & the towels had black dirt all over them. There was no ice machine, just a tiny bag of ice from the front that clearly came out of a refrigerator ice maker of their own. We were sweating from head to toe after 2 hours so I asked the front if I could get my money back cuz we had to go to another hotel. She said yes so we left and got a room elsewhere with everything you'd expect and need from a hotel room. Then I was told by hotels.com that the woman who said she would refund me wanted to charge me $25 for cleaning even though we were there less than 2 hours and only moved the comforters a bit because it was too dirty to sit on them and way too hot. So I called her, she was very rude, argued with me for a while & blamed the AZ weather. But I finally got her to stick to her word & refund my money for the 2 awful hours that we sat in front of the AC with no change in comfort. This really was upsetting after driving for 8 hours and wanting to just relax for a bit. Save yourself the trouble and go to a better hotel. It's not worth saving 20 bucks or so a night to be miserable.
- Joseph (10/5): - Always helpful
- Michael (8/5): - Great room for the price. Could use some updating on furniture but clean and comfortable. Pool was empty and fenced off. Friendly check in.
- Larry (8/5): - Staff was helpful, and roon is very clean and felt safe.
- Bret (10/5): - Its a good vintage hotel. Which is why i stay here. I wish they had dimmer switches for the lighting! VERY BRIGHT light's inside the room..
- Thomas (8/5): - I was looking for a clean, quiet and inexpensive room for the night. I found it at The El Rancho.
- Glenn (8/5): - Were it not for my Expedia discount, it would have been a little pricey for what it actually was, but it was sufficient. Still, consider a continental breakfast, or at least a coffee/tea maker in the room -- and definitely an ice machine! But it was functional enough for passing on through.
- Mary (6/5): - Ok for one nite only. Older, tired motel with no amentities
- Robert (2/5): - Our host was helpful and pleasant. The unit lacked the basics. No hand soap or tissues. No reading lamp. The shower faucet did not work at all and just luke warm water at the sink. I realize the low cost was my choice but I won't return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decided to stay longer - Check in was easy and room is great. Clean, smells good, surprisingly quiet. Tv and WiFi haven’t worked but overall liked enough to extend the day- Great room at a great price.
- Basia (6/5): - Shower did not work but was repaired. You get what you pay for.
- ROSALINDA (8/5): - Comfortable
- Curt (8/5): - Front desk is very accommodating
- Cary (4/5): - Front desk opens at 1 PM. Forget help with morning problems such as non-functioning shower. Thick dirt in all corners and along baseboards. Chipped paint on furniture (easily fixed). Claims "pet friendly" when making reservations. Doesn't show $10 "pet charge" until arriving. With just a little effort this place could be quite nice
- Francisco (10/5): - Big room, clean and nice tv.
- Kinsey (6/5): - The rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. The pool was closed and it looked like it had been closed for some time. The parking lot was rough and the road was busy and noisy, although it did calm down at night so sleeping wasn’t too bad.
- John (4/5): I wouldnt stay here again - The place was not very clean. Stains on the sides of the matress, dead bedbug in the bed (at least it was dead), dirty fridge and table tops
- Kenneth (8/5): - Bed was a lil loud with lil movement, but i have nothing bad to say about El Rancho its no 5 star resort but i felt safe the room was actually nicer than i was expecting fast easy check in i would stay here again if i was headed to Yuma again!
- Kirstan (8/5): - Very nice owners were patient w/me while checking into this room. I completed my booking online and then struggled w/the software. Assuming my room was paid for online when I provided my Visa #. Room was clean comfortable and well accommodated w/a table chairs, fridge, microwave. Only negative was that the ice machine was broken.
- Antonio (10/5): - It was great
- Tammie (10/5): - This property was really quiet and nice. The internet speed was awesome and there was good food right across the street. I recommend this hotel.
- Vanessa (2/5): Annoyed - Stay was good but the annoying couple to the right of me kept me up all night. Screaming and yelling banging all night.
- Lacey (6/5): - The bed was very uncomfortable and squeaky
- stan (8/5): - Good value for the money
- Thomas (6/5): - Please needs a refresh
Bathrooms flooring where it meets the base is filthy
- Anthony (2/5): - Lights in room were out. There was mold around bathtub. there were no hangers. There was SOMEONE ELSE'S HAIR on the pillow from a previous visit.
- Juliann (6/5): - Bring your own towels. They are Beverly thin. I toilet seat should have been replaced. The paint was chipped over the entire seat
- stanley (8/5): - good value for your money
- Bonita (10/5): - This hotel had all the rooms on the first floor and it was an easy access to the room. The property was kept clean.
- Bret (10/5): - It is a nice room. A couple suggestions.
A table light that's not so BRIGHT! The lighting is either blasting or off! A safety rail in the shower would be wonderful to hang onto. Lastly. A bigger bar of soap! The one supplied is too tiny and not real soapy! Otherwise a nice place for a night or two.
- M (10/5): - Super convenient location. Everything is nearby. Nice staff.
Thread bare towels. Old spring mattress.
- David (10/5): - No hot water in the am,, but it was as 9am and I’m guessing everyone was showering at the same time… BUT.. more importantly, the staff was very accommodating for my late 2am arrival. Additionally, I left a cell phone there and they called me about 30 min later while cleaning the room and informed me.
Not everyone is honest these days, and it really struck home that it’s honesty and care for others … is hard to find. The fact that the staff was pleasant, accommodating, AND HONEST, left me with a very good impression of this place.
A decent motel, to say the least!
- Jerry (8/5): - It was a fine place to stay for the price. Manager was great & helpful. We had no problems and didn’t see nonsense going on around it. It was satisfactory to us.
- ROSALINDA (10/5): - I like smoking rooms. Too cold or too hot to smoke outside
- ROSALINDA (8/5): - convenient
- Camilo (6/5): - room clean, but no chair or sofa, beds noise, close to traffic street very noise
- David (10/5): - Clean, basic, and affordable. A throwback to old roadside motels which is a theme on this stretch of 4th Street Yuma. I've stayed twice now, visited from San Diego. Good alternative to Vegas, pleasantly easy and scenic drive. Convenient to supermarket across the street. Uber is $12 to get to kokopah casino. I'll be back!
- Anson (4/5): - The TV did not work. The pool was empty and looked like it had not been filled in years. The door handle didn't work half of the time. Chair and table were patio furniture and very uncomfortable. The office area smelled like sewage. It was cheap, but it's have paid more for better. Not an accurate listing.
- Charles (4/5): Disappointing Stay. - My wife advise me that we will never stay here again. The bed was uncomfortable and noisy. The air conditioner kept her up. The neighbors started talking louldly outside the room from 3:00 AM on till 5:00. The only positive was a good location for us shopping and eating. We appreciate the recomendation the owner made for a good Indian restaurant, that was fantastic.
- John (8/5): - The staff was very nice the property needs a little face lift! Traffic was a little noisy.
- Nicholas (10/5): - Great price and nice rooms with lots of space. Appliances are new and work very well
- Heather (8/5): - It was pretty calm which is nice
- John (10/5): - It's a cool older hotel, have stayed here for almost 30 years. Too bad the pool is no longer in operation. If you like the old school motel style place, this is it.
- Peter (10/5): Good value - Great place for a great price.
- margaret (8/5): - Nice, clean
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good place - It was very quiet and comfortable! Great day to rest! For some reason the water was too hot, or maybe because of the weather.
- Edith (8/5): - I would stay there again.
- David (8/5): - Pros: Clean room, with good air conditioning at a great value.
Cons: Had to go back to office each day to get key reset. Shower water was very hot even at coldest setting.
- Iris (4/5): - Room was clean and comfortable and my check in and check out was pleasant.
The reason for my low stars is because the pre set temperature to the A/C was not enough to cool the room. The room was small and should have been able to cool. I was not
Able to adjust the temperature. The room was hot. The only cool area was sitting in front
Of the a/c. This was very unpleasant, frustrating and overwhelming to
Not be able to be comfortably be cool in a city where we have over 100 degree weather. I was sweating and was not able
To Shower or Get ready comfortably.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - We come to Yuma regularly for work and El Rancho is our go-to hotel. It's clean, quiet, and affordable.
- Yecksanira (8/5): - Excellent customer service the front desk was quite kind. Pet friendly which i was so grateful, and affordable. Had what you needed such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. The room itself was clean, but we did not receive clean towels. They were dirty but were nicely folded on the rack. Otherwise, great! My onpy complaint is the towels. The privacy, location, and overall feep was great.
- Wayne (10/5): Remodeled - The room was all remodeled and was very nice.
- Sharon (4/5): - While the eoom was very clean, there was no chair(s) to sit in. There were no hooks for clothes. There was no radio or clock. There were no lamps for each side of bed, but there were overhead lights, but not so usable. There was no coffeemaker but evidently there was cofee in lobby. These are rather basics and standard at competitor motels in area.
- Thomas (10/5): EL RANCHO - The stay was excellent very comparable and compromising on my checkout time and I extended an extra day no problems
- Stephen (10/5): - We were unable to stay at the property but the manager was extremely helpful and understanding. Truly a nice experience with a kind and understanding staff!
Maybe in the future!
Thank you!
- Kyleigh (10/5): -
- Alejandro (10/5): - Everything is clean and the staff is ready to help you.
- gina (6/5): Keep your socks on! - The room looked very clean and nicely done but as soon as I took my socks off my feet were literally black within 10 minutes of walking to the bathroom and refrigerator. Took a washcloth and wiped up a small area, took it to the office, someone came to clean but using a filthy mop that just spread the same dirt all around. I suggested a different type of cleaning to the owner, I do travel at least one week every month and feel they would appreciate a suggestion, not a chance! I'm sure going back there a week or a year from now the floors are still going to be as filthy and nothing is going to change whatsoever. They list a pool but I'm pretty sure they're never using that thing again either.
