- Pelle (10/5): -
- Chanyoo (8/5): เหมาะสมกับราคา - ผู้ให้บริการเป็นกันเอง ให้ดูแลตัวเอง เหมือนไปพักกับญาติ สถานที่จอดรถ
- Manning (8/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Feels like home - In Stellas Resort you feel immediately like home. Stella the host does everything whatever she can to make you feel comfortable. Best place to stay for animal lovers and authentic stay in Khanom
- Martin (1/5): - nedostal jsem odpoved, neubytoval jsem se
- Ervin (10/5): -
- Serg Dolg (10/5): Nice place and good host, 8 min waling to the beach, 2 min by bike. - Stella is a nice host and speaks English. All good. Nice plans in front of the rooms that give you a tropical feeling and reduce the heat inside the territory. You can make a tea by yourself and have a nice place to sit and have a drink.
Cats and dogs are very friendly and ask you to scratch their bellies:) The room could have some clothes rack, clothing rails, or coat stands to hang clothes on. But the room has a chair - can put clothes there.
- Giada (10/5): Come a casa. - Stella é fantastica. Gentilissima e super disponibile. Ci ha aiutato ad organizzare un tour con mototaxi e ci ha trovato anche il trasporto per Donsak. Massaggi fantastici, servizio lavanderia. Posizione perfetta. Ci siamo sentiti a casa!
Inoltre è impegnata nell’accudire cani randagi e gatti. Una splendida persona.
- Igor (9/5): -
- Sergine (8/5): - Friendly host. Her very good massages.
- Piotr (8/5): Cheap, basic rooms - with a friendly host, in a lovely little town - If you're OK riding a scooter, then you can easily enjoy the area, including fantastic food and drinks. Stella herself is a friendly host, and a very good masseur. She also takes care of 74 (and counting) formerly stray animals – many of them meowing or wagging their tails the moment you leave your room :) Overall standard of the room consistent with the low price, although it wouldn't take all that much to make it a bit more cosy
- Cosgrove (10/5): My favorite stay in all of Thailand - The animals and the owner. Bathrooms are wet heads
- เพชรกุล (8/5): - เงียบสงบ เหมาะแก่การพักผ่อน
- Areerat (10/5): Cheap price - Cheap
- Walter (9/5): - La Host, Stella, è fantastica, molto amichevole e gentile, in più ha un sacco di animali tra cani e gatti quindi se vi piacciono sarete in buona compagnia Nothing really, for the price it’s really good
- Shub (10/5): - What a wonderful warm and kind host, Stella.
She is one of a kind, feeding 60 dogs and cats as well as her own beautiful babies at the guesthouse. Stella makes sure that all of them are sterilized and all her money goes to the animals. She even takes and gives them medication.
I felt really good supporting Stella, knowing that animals are being fed.
The rooms are comfortable, bed was perfect, shower good pressure and heat. Free water.
One can walk about 20 mins to the beach where there is a great restaurant called Mageritas which serves yummy food, right on the beach.
Thank you Stella for being you. A little far from beach and town....
Easy if you have a bike or car otherwise its not easy to find transport and if you do, its expensive.
- jane (8/5): - Lovely hostess. Also the locals around very kind and helpful. Just lack of restaurants open in the evening and the wild dogs nearby sometimes made us feel uncomfortable as we walked along the road. But Stella,s place was good.
- Muriel (9/5): - Best thaï massage and pan cakes ever!
Accueil charmant et souriant et volonté d’aider les hôtes.
Merci pour tout! On recommande cette guesthouse et si on revient dans cette région, nous repasserons dire bonjour aux charmantes dames qui nous ont si bien accueillis
- Tom (8/5): An excellent value in a great location (with the best massages) - There is parking available although the facilities list says not. The facility is pleasant and a 15 minute walk from a beautiful beach. The price is the best in the area. Stella gives an amazing massage and is very knowledgeable about nutrition.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at her place and extended my stay. The negatives I list below are to clarify discrepancies so future guests know what they’re getting, and simple suggestions to improve. The quality/price is well worth a stay. Some discrepancies as listed in the booking: there was no available bar, washing machine, mini market, breakfast, steam room.
My Standard Double Room size was listed as 301sq ft - not even close (maybe 15 x 15 ft). Also absent from my room though advertised: clothes rack, tea and coffee maker (a kettle was available in the common area), closet or wardrobe. The listed balcony is the walkway between rooms. The towels and linen were well worn but clean.
Easy adjustments that will make big improvements: replace towels and linen; add a mirror in the bedroom so guests don’t have to enter the bathroom after showering and get their feet repeatedly wet; install a light fixture to the wires dangling from the wall over the bed (room 4; there is sufficient room lighting but this would allow reading in bed).
- Georgina (7/5): Neat tidy and clean. - It was clean and tidy with necessary amenities. The air conditioner was very noisy during the night but otherwise everything was great. The air-conditioning needs checking as I was very noisy.
- Chittra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chittra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eleonora (8/5): Very good -
- Uwe (9/5): Simple room for very good price - Nice and silent resort, 1km walking distance from the beach and the city of Khanom.
The staff is friendly and dogs and cats are all around in this resort. Stella has a huge heart for animals.
The bed was not comfortable but acceptable for the very good room.rate.
- Olivier (8/5): Wonderful host and a peaceful place to stay. - Lovely owner and staff who were very willing to help with any request. Very quiet location. Room adequate for price. Use of shared kitchen to make hot drinks etc. The bed was not the most comfortable - we could feel the springs. Also consider hiring a scooter to get to the beaches and to visit inland. Quite a few dogs and cats if you don’t like them.
- Daniel (5/5): Lots of good reviews but we didn’t warm to the place. - Relatively inexpensive for the area. Decent big fridge in the room. Owner left three cans of Leo along with water in the fridge. Dogs and cats everywhere. Barking on arrival (and return after dinner) and sticking their noses in the car, chewing bones around the communal area, cat entered the room as we were in the process of leaving.
Broken and saggy mattress, poor night’s sleep so we left at 6am.
We saw the owner or any staff only very briefly upon arrival. We were shown to the room, not checked in and then didn’t see anyone after that.
- Henrik (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place to stay for a week of slow exploring. Stella's place has all the comforts I need, and Stella herself is a very considerate and friendly host. My very best recommendations👍.
- Stefan (6/5): Ok for the money - No breakfast Owner friendly
- Giacomo (10/5): Exceptional - Stella the owner is very friendly and helpful, plus she's a great Thai masseuse. She speaks Thai, Italian and English.
The resort is well located near Kanom Beach and Kanom main road.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - Stella's place is as beautiful as her. A good location in very relaxing and lightful area. Also I highly recommend her Thai massage. Hands full of experience.
- Peter (7/5): Good - Very friendly owner who was an excellent masseuse.
Closish to beach and village Reallty needed a vehicle as both beach and village a fair walk.
- Daleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (9/5): Superb -
- Vasilevsky (10/5): Exceptional - Super friendly hosts. Exceptional massage
- Vos (7/5): Good - I didn't stay at the location indicated on google maps, but at a different resort, right at the beach. It was a very quiet beach and it was amazing to walk only 5 minutes for a swim. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, there were hairs in the shower. The bed was uncomfortable even for Thai beds. And because I was closer to the beach, I had to walk 45 minutes one way to get to a shop. There was no public transport and no taxi's. There was no reception at my venue and so they couldn't help me arrange transport.
- Johann (9/5): Like home - The rooms are exactly as described. Parking spaces are right in the forecourt. The owner Stella and her staff are very friendly and always helpful. Gave me lots of really good tips.
The location is also perfect, not far from the beach and not far from the main road. Nothing.
- Renate (9/5): Good accomodation - Lovely owner who also gives very good massages. Room was simple but good and clean. Big fridge included. Very quiet location with a nice terrace. You need a bike as it is a lttle far from town and the more beautiful beaches.
- Simon (8/5): Very good - Nice location, relaxed helpful staff.
- Lauri (10/5): Exceptional - Great place to stay!!!
- Nicola (1/5): Grim - Leaving .... The room is like a prison cell. Old wool blanket on bed. Everything covered in old pealing sticky vinyl. No amenities. No sea view. Avoid.
- Sam (10/5): Affordable and homely - Stella welcomed me with a warm hug and immediately made us feel at home. There was a warm, pleasant vibe to the whole facility and more than enough to accomodate a comfortable stay. Well worth the price! Nothing
- Jürgen (10/5): Exceptional - Stella’s resort is a wonderful and quiet place away from the road and just a short walk from the beach! It has a beautiful room with a beautiful outside area! Stella is super helpful and one of the kindest hosts you can imagine!
- Natalie (9/5): A good place for a short stay - Quiet place, friendly staff, good price. A simple place A bit far from the beach and facilities. Need a bike
- Pascal (10/5): Anytime we would come back, very relaxing, close to the beach and all the shops and yet quite. - You couldn't ask for a better host than Stella, so helpful, kind and always happy around her customers.
- Tanya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chiara (8/5): A comfortable budget stay - A small family run hotel. Rooms are simple but well kept. The bathrooms is clean, the shower has a comfortable water pressure. The bed is very comfortable. It’s quiet at night.
- Teacher (9/5): Superb - Very friendly owner who can speak enough English to hold a conversation and give good advice. Great value for money.
- Sofia (4/5): can’t recommend - location is ok if you have wheels, other way you’ll feel uncomfortable cuz everything is far away. 1. no garbage bin in the room. also garbage bin outside once been out of service. dislike
2. dirty room. I asked a host to clean it again. hair on the floor, hair in the blanket. it was with no case and I guess didn’t wash after previous customers. dirty toilet and sink. just dirty.
3. it was absolutely different room than on picture. no cabinet to keep dresses etc.
4. windows sealed with foil, it’s dark in the room. if you’ll open a window - welcome mosquitos.
5. host while I did check in mention I choose room with no ac and no fan (what? to keep me in the room where you even not allowed to open windows?) but she kind enough to lend me ac for 50 bath/day. you realized? she didn’t put fan in the room and you just have no choice.
6. I message at the evening am I own something, and instead to answer me same way where I messaged her (at booking messages) she literally breaking into my room with question “what happen”. the point was to give her 50 bath for ac which she overcharged me but it turns 200 bath. dear Stella, for 500 bath/night it’s different hotel may be booked with better amenities and better cleaning.
7. I left 100 Beth extra for her and kindly added to buy a garbage bin to the room. 450 bath / night total I guess it’s possible to provide at least if the room not like at the picture but clean room and with garbage bin.
8. a lot of fly in the room, it’s really annoyin night time when you doing staff at your phone.
9. ac right under the bed and after day 1 I got sick
10. nothin personal, but not recommended to stay. not comfortable.
- Bastien (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice person ,nice to stay there.
- Dan (8/5): Very good - The host was really friendly and does a lot for animals. Was easy to find and not far from the beautiful Khanom beach... It's further than a thought from Khanom. Nothing in walking distance, so best to eat and get what you need before you come...
- Tim (10/5): Good spot for a beach holiday. - Lovely rooms, right on the beach and a brilliant restraunt.
- Jason (10/5): Great guest house - Located 1.5km from beach. Motorcycle recommended. Stella is a great hostess. She let me borrow her bike. I will definitely be back!!
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (7/5): Good -
- Noelle (9/5): Very good, lovely! - stella is the best host! she arranged everything for us and helped us with our stay. would definetly come back here!
- Glyn (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fabrice (8/5): Very good -
- Christiane (4/5): Not recommended - Honestly, I really wonder how it came to the many positive reviews here...
The location is okay and Stella is really friendly. But that's about it. Otherwise: accommodation untidy, neglected, unhygienic. Window in our room taped. Floor stained, towels worn out, bed linen with holes. Running water not working, therefore no water in shower and toilet during our stay. We left after one night.
- Raksak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): If you like cats & dogs you come to the right place. - Breakfast was good served 8:00 am to 9:30AM always different. Stella is a very nice person feeding 50 or so dogs in the area. She has about 8 cats and 2 dogs living there, all very friendly. The rooms are clean, OK WiFi. I booked for 2 days and stayed 2 weeks. I really liked Stella and everyone knows her everywhere I went. She speaks good English. She gives a great Thai massage too. When I return I will stay at Stella Resort and Massage. HMM, what didn't I like. That's a hard one, maybe that I could only stay there 2 weeks. But I'm coming back to move to Khanom I like it so much.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronny (8/5): Quiet and cozy between the beach and the town. - The owner Stella was amazing. So friendly and helpful. You dont need to worry about anything if you stay here. Lots of lovely friendly cats and dogs. Have breakfast. Near the beach and the town but this location is right in between so you definately need a motorbike to get around, which Stella fix for you in no time.
The hotel was very quiet and cozy. I highly recommend if you need a place to sleep. You will get a new friend for the rest of your life! The rooms were a bit small and the window was taped with a sun screen so you cant look out the window unless you open it and then you get mosquitos. There were a lot mosquitos in the bathroom. This is just a small issue and didn't really bother us.
- Nb (9/5): Superb - Stayed for 2 nights and had a spacious room with air con and a fridge. Greeted by 2 amazing dogs that were very friendly and loved a fuss. Cats also roamed around and were friendly. Stella was an outstanding host, that was very attentive. She asked if we wanted a motorbike and then within 10 minutes, one was delivered to us. Alongside this, Stella feeds 50+ stray dogs around Khanom every other night, she asked if we wanted to join her one of the nights, which we did and it didn’t disappoint. Stella Resort definitely made our stay at Khanom worthwhile.
- Ove (10/5): Home away from home - We got a very friendly welcome by the owner. She made us feel like home during our stay. There is a kitchen you can use to cook, and free bicycles to use when you want. There is also tea and coffee for free anytime you want. The walk to the beach takes about 10-15minutes. The same to the main street where you find some shops like 7-eleven and Fresh Mart and a few restaurants. Not much to do in Khanom, but a perfect place to relax for a few days like we did. The rooms are comfortable with a big fridge, chairs and table, good AC and good wifi. And the price is the cheapest we could find for this amount of comfort around here. We would definitely stay here again.
