• Plamena (4/5): Vinilia Wine Resort - The place and nature are perfect. They should offer some snack and drinks at the swimming pool, but they not. The biggest problem is the restaurant. You have to eat there because there is nothing else around. The food tasted terrible. We ordered the Incontro menu. Don't make our mistake. The food in Italy is wonderful, but not in this Michelin-starred restaurant casamatta. Perverse tastes and bitter food that you can't swallow.

The highlight of our visit was dining at the Casamatta restaurant, the kitchen of Pietro Penna, which holds the distinction of being awarded the 2021 Green Michelin Star, the first of its kind in Apulia. The four-course dinner was a true masterpiece – a concert of flavors, expertly crafted by sous-chef Ibrah and impeccable service orchestrated by the talented team of Gabriele, Pierpaolo, and Francesco - made this a meal we’ll remember! • Laurent (10/5): Exceptional - We spent three nights into this really nice property: great location to discover Puglia, great place to relax with a fantastic park, very quiet, with a great room and terrace. And then of course the restaurant: we decided to have all our diners there and enjoy the great dishes and wine. Fantastic value for money in my opinion, and the team was really going out of their way to make our experience memorable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the region!

We had dinner at their restaurant Casamatta, chef Pietro Penna tribute to his cuisine and journey was outstanding, breakfast was the perfect starting of the day with delicious bread and fruits. Thank you to all the staff, they were very friendly and helpful, especial thanks to William and Andrea.

The sommelier was very knowledgeable and the menu delicious We had room 7 which is a superior but quite a way from the main house and on its own with another room, facing out of the resort. I think so would have preferred to be on the other side facing the main property.

• Edmund (10/5): Well worth a visit to check out the Manduria area. - Chilled vibe with comfortable room and full facilities. Food at restaurant was excellent and a good wine list. A little isolated so have to drive / taxi a fair way to get to Manduria - but an interesting town to see.

• Melissa (8/5): Very peaceful stay and the perfect spot for a few days relaxation. - Beautiful property offering a relaxing break while traveling. With a lovely pool area. Restaurant on site was very good and recommend dining there. It would have been nice if the rooms had an iron and you didn’t have to use laundry facilities.
• Lauren (8/5): - This is a boutique hotel with only 20 rooms in an historic castle that has been beautifully remodeled. The staff is very friendly and there is a Michelin star restaurant onsite. We had a huge room with a bath tub in the room and a terrace. The pool is very nice with food and drink service. The only negative is that the air conditioner did not work the first night. They did have it fixed the second day.

We stayed there for two nights and had dinner in the restaurant the first night. Excellent food and service. It is easy to see why this restaurant has a Michelin star. I would definately come back to this hotel, but maybe not in the hottest summer months, since the airconditioning in the room didnt work properly.

I complained but didn’t feel they addressed it by saying we can add a fan - which didn’t really help. Apparently echoed by other others when we spoke to the other guests. Hotel - please fix the AC problems at hotel. The Michelin restaurant was great from a staff perspective. Food was creative and unique. The wine pairing was well done. Suggest they start the menu first course sooner instead of keeping guest seated with water for almost an hour first. All in all, liked our stay.

• Gary (10/5): Experience the Best - A great stay, very relaxed, Manduria, around three miles, (five kilometers), away, is delightful You do need a hire car, but that was not an issue for us to sort out We had the eight course dinner with wine pairing on our first night of three nights, which was amazing, however I paid for the indulgence the next day and missed breakfast. If you are in the area, and food and wine floats your boat, then book a stay, the Vinilia is a must, the location, the venue, and the team are first class.

• Aubrey (8/5): - Property is ideal for two/three trip and provides an comfortable backdrop setting to enjoy the wonderful pool, grounds and wonderful lunch menu and selective wine options while at the pool. Property is truly unique, spacious and offers a feeling of tranquility as the castle feature 18 rooms, indoor / outdoor dining and a lovely livingroom setting coupled was fantastic art while offering guests a light and wonderful breakfast spread. Some areas / concerns to be mindful of though. 1. The property / castle is challenged with an AC system that cannot accommodate cooler temperatures which leaves the room temperature at a minimum of 24C / approx 75F degrees despite leaving the AC on throughout the day which provides an uncomfortable room temp after a long hot day. All rooms in the hotel cannot physically go below 24 C at any time period which was very concerning when you’re paying for a luxury hotel experience. The entire hotel setting (lobby, hotel rooms, dinning area) all are kept at 24/25 C and for these reasons it would be hard to justify returning to this hotel. The restaurant: The overall backdrop setting is wonderful but the menu/ food lacks the depth, flavors and or a true culinary experience that would justify considering this Menu. Perhaps a bottle of wine would be a wise option to enjoy in the yard but we would carefully suggest only considering lunch at the pool vs eating dinner at the property which we found to have many limitations.
• Jack (8/5): Incredible setting, a few tweaks and could be perfect - Stunning location, beautiful pool area, lovely restaurant, great toiletries (Diptyque Paris), very good breakfast restaurant was fantastic (Michelin starred) some guests may wish for a more casual dining option if staying for longer period. food round pool was good but a little pricey. resort could do more to promote the wine aspect of the resort (wine list at the pool was a little limited) perhaps be a bit more proactive suggesting tours to local wineries?
• James (10/5): Exceptional - The property is truly magical and unlike any I've ever stayed in...I'm hesitant to share too much as it's truly a hidden gem and I don't want it to change! The grounds are perfect, the food delicious and farm to table, the staff are kind and hospitable - there's nothing that I would change. The only "downside" is the converted castle is a short drive from the beach and nearby towns, so it requires a car and/or driver to explore beyond the property. Since castles are not easily moved, this is my only negative comment!

Staff were so friendly and all seemed to be local and so proud and knowledgeable about the food and wines from the region. We would love to go again.

• Amy (8/5): Perfect place if you're happy to spend ££ and not leave! - The hotel was impressive - as the gate opened, it felt as if we were entering a cool villains lair! The execution of the interiors was lovely and the grounds are impeccable. The pool is lovely to spend time around too. The room was lovely - although a little dark when trying to do your makeup in the evening. Breakfast was lovely+ fab quality. Lots grown/produced on site which was a bonus. There isn't much to do locally unless you have a car. Staff weren't helpful if you wanted to go in to Manduria of an evening. They should include an a la carte menu, as like us - we didn't want a tasting menu for 2 nights but it is hard to go anywhere else for dinner if you want a drink. (The hotel did accommodate but we had to ask but we knew others staying there that were not offered the same.) The bar should open earlier too & their wine tasting/experiences could be sold better.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Decepção/Preconceito/Frustação - Extremamente Decepcionante, chegamos ao hotel com uma grande expectativa pois estávamos comemorando uma data importante e já no checking pedimos para jantar e para nossa surpresa nos informaram que o restaurante estava lotado e havia um evento nos mandaram comer na cidade que é 5km do hotel ( Estrada de térrea e sem iluminação)e não teriam serviço para nos atender com lanches … Ficamos horrorizados pois impossível este tratamento…em um hotel que se paga uma diária de ~ 500 euros.. Depois de solicitarmos muito e implorarmos nos serviram 2 pratos ,em uma área fora do restaurante e não ofereceram o cardápio e nem deram opção de sobremesa e o pior .. perguntamos o valor e nem isso informaram.. Nos sentimos extremamente desconfortáveis ,pois fomos atendidos de forma preconceituosa ,não sei se é devido a nacionalidade,pois ficamos observando durante muito tempo e havia no restaurante principal várias mesas vazias e não vimos nem evento ocorrendo.(fotos anexas) Informaram que deveríamos ter feito a reserva antecipada e o hotel havia nos enviado e-mail ,obviamente nunca recebemos .Tentamos conhecer o hotel e os funcionários nos olhavam de forma inapropriada como se fôssemos criminosos. Infelizmente a experiência foi terrível nunca me senti tão mau em um hotel . Nos deixaram constrangidos ,apenas dormimos e não desfrutamos um dia adequado , perdemos a vontade de ficar na piscina ou conhecer a vinícola devido a sensação desagradável imposta pelo Staff e o mau atendimento prestado .

• Monika (4/5): Disappointing- never again! - Unfortunately the experience was disappointing as for the value for money ratio. The staff was friendly accepting our recommendations and requests but the property does not live up to a real luxury stay. The property can be reached via two roads which are in quite bad condition (one road is even heavily littered). The resort is one hour away from other tourist destinations. Several things were disappointing to us: We stayed 3 nights for a total of 1200 Euros for 2 persons in high season. We would have expected great value for money for this prize. We were disappointed. 1. The sewage in our room stank the first night and the design shower cabin was small plus the shower head sprinkled water due to limestone. (the hotel staff repaired it upon our request) 2. An emergency light above the bathroom arch could not be switched off and lit the room so that we needed to climb on desks and chairs to darken the room despite withdrawal of the keycard etc. (the staff fixed it upon request) 3. The breakfast buffet is good with homemade cakes and Quiche but we were shocked that the hotel charges extra for eggs (8 Euro) and Pancakes (12 Euro). This should be included. 4. there is no selection of teas or juices, the breakfast staff does not speak English, the tables were not promptly laid and our cups were repeatedly dirty. 5. the lounge beds in the garden are exposed to a loud generator noise in the evening hours and therefore are not offering relaxing space. we felt that the property was overpriced and therefore cancelled our Michelin Star reservation for the gourmet dinner because we were frustrated with the rest.

• Juergen (10/5): Wonderful stay at Vinilia - Our recent stay at Vinilia Wine Resort was without a doubt one of the best Resort Experiences we have had. We travel extensively and have stayed in some of the top Hotels/Resorts in the world and can put Vinilia at the top. It is 5 star plus. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional. We felt very taken care of during our entire stay. We had dinner twice: the food, wine and atmosphere - tops! The breakfast buffet amazing with the selection, freshness, taste, fresh baked goods. I have never seen a better breakfast buffet anywhere. The property is well taken care of, quiet, private and beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and reflect the design and architecture of the property and region. We recommend them in every way. And we will return to stay there again.

Only thing is that you would need either a Satnav or very good directions to find it. We got the GPS coordinates from the Hotel in advance and the TomTom did the rest.

Recomendo muito o restaurante, pessoal da recepçao acima do esperado, ficamos muito satisfeitos com as duas diarias . Restaurante otimo ! Area externa, piscina maravilhosa, quando voltar a Manduria ficarei com certeza lá !
