Guest Reviews
- Angela (10/5): - This place was exactly as described. It's low rent, but clean. The water was hot. The beds firm. I was thoroughly impressed and happy to stay there. I have never seen a 3 bed room before. It was awesome
- Lance (10/5): - Very comfortable.
I would stay there again
- Michael (10/5): - Very affordable room rates.
- Wilson (6/5): - The low cost and did not had to leave a credit card number with the property.
- Donald (10/5): - Was ok. Needed floor mop
- William (6/5): Show Low on a Budget - This is one of those, “park at the door to your room” motels. Those are my favorite. I arrived to check in around 4:15 pm. The office was locked. I rang the bell and got checked in, after being asked, “What was the rate you agreed to?” After thinking about it, I should have said, “$25 a night?”. I took the key to room 109, went to the room and opened the door. My first thought was, “Small room”, but not a deal breaker. After further observation, the walls were a 1970’s shade of yellow, and a bright blue. Not a deal breaker, but just not my first choice. The bathroom sink looked like it was barely attached to the wall. Not perpendicular, not close. The sink had a yellow stain, a chip and a crack in it, but it didn’t leak and there was hot and cold water. Surprisingly, the bathroom is where the small fridge and microwave are located. The small microwave sitting on top of the little fridge, on the typically supplied foldable luggage stand. Not a deal breaker. Both the fridge and the microwave worked. The shower was tight quartered, as to be expected. The shower head leaked and was spraying onto the wall above, which will eventually have adverse effects. I regret not letting the front desk know about that. Maybe they will read this and take care of it. The bed was closer to the ground than most, not a deal breaker. As I closed the door to the room, I noticed daylight coming through the bottom of the door. That must have been the reason for the slight debris
- William (10/5): - Everything was fine and no problems
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty Linen - Bed very uncomfortable and linen not clean. Light didn't work. Bathroom window didn't lock. No phone. Wifi was slower than a slug if even worked at all. TV was not worth watching. Spend the extra and stay somewhere else.
- Ricardo (10/5): - Great heater / ac
- Jennifer (8/5): - It was clean and it was a safe place to sleep at night, which is all I needed. However, there was a great deal of improvement that could’ve been done to the room; repairs of the walls, painting, rust in the sink and shower, etc
- Krystal (4/5): - When i went to check into my rooms the largw room was dusty and had dead roaches scattered across the rooms. Under the bed was filthy like it hasnt been swept in a very long time. Also there was lots of spiderwebs everywhere. The fridge was dirty, it was unusable because the smell was awful.
- Johnell (2/5): - This place needs to be condemned!
- Verified traveler (4/5): NO GO FOR SHOW LOW. - Lock on the door didn't work, room was very tiny and the walls were filthy and odd colored. The toilet didn't flush right and the refrigerator and microwave are in the bathroom. I also woke up with little red bite marks on my legs. I checked the bed but couldn't find anything. Bed was missing a box spring, so it was low to the ground and very hard. The remote was not programmed for the tv so I had to keep getting up to change the channel and adjust the volume. Not worth the $164.00 I was charged.
- John (8/5): - Shower curtain filthy,
no clock,
no electric outlet in the bathroom,
shower head dripping water.
AC unit worked well.
Bed ok.
Was given two extra pillows that were good.
Sheets smelled clean.
If the bed was a queen, it was a small queen.
Dirt & Grime around front door to room.
Front door @ check-in office dirty with finger/ hand prints.
TV worked well with wall mounted tv & DISH CABLE tv.
Room had mini frig and small microwave which we did not use.
You get what you pay for, so this one is on us. We would expect to pay $50 - $60.000 for this tiny room. Will not be using this facility in the future.
- Judy (6/5): - Room and linens were clean and smelled good, but rooms are very old and need complete professional refurbishing.
- Lorena (6/5): - Convenience
- Vernell (10/5): - Nice
- Kurt (4/5): - Dated, towels terrible, service spotty, needs to be redone.
- Bret (8/5): - The front of the house was plenty nice. The room was affordable. The AC was cold and shower was hot.
The hotel is older and it shows the stains of time. Basic R&M would really help with the appeal.
- 107veerb (10/5): Perfect - The place was very clean and very nice I loved my stay and they gave me a smoking room which was perfect and the owners of the building were very kind and they gave me towels any time they asked the room smelled amazing I stayed there for 3 days and it was amazing
- Mikayla (2/5): Avoid this place - Terrible place. Its like a trap house.
- Catherine (4/5): - At check-in it became obvious that the manager values his security- he opened a locked window and asked what I wanted. I showed him my Expedia reservation and then he unlocked the office door so I could complete his reservation form and provide my ID and payment for my two-day stay.
The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. I didn’t pull the blanket out of the closet because it was bundled into a ball on the shelf, so I presumed it had not been cleaned. The refrigerator and microwave had DEFINITELY not been cleaned. There was a coffee maker on the high closet shelf without a coffee pot, cups, coffee packets or other amenities; I drove to Starbucks the next morning. The “hot” water was barely tepid. The towels were threadbare. Every room had peeling paint. There was no screen in the bathroom window so I couldn’t have fresh air flow to dispel the expected usual room stuffiness.
The next morning I asked that the microwave be cleaned and the hot water temperature increased. When I returned that evening I had water warm enough that I could finally shower, but the microwave remained dirty (I left it’s door open when I checked out as a hint!).
Would I return there? No.
- Kyle (6/5): - Staff was rude at check in.
- Margaret (6/5): - The shower had mold and not enough towels. Didn't charge us until Wednesday.
- Roger (6/5): - Old everthing,mattress,sheets pillows,towels,ac,1.5 star
- Tilden (2/5): - Have pics but everything broken and dirty blood on sheets a drug dealer wouldnt stay there
- timoteo (2/5): - Pictures of the place were not what it looked like very run down. My did even come in the front door.
- Michael C (2/5): - This motel is very old needs to be updated bath towels are very small and rough .
- Rene (2/5): Wouldn't recommend it to anyone else that might be - The towels were dirty and paper thin
- Tammy (2/5): - Bed 1970 low to floor room wasn't ready upon arrival didn't stay here due to conditions of room
- Yvonne (10/5): - Thank you
- Judi (2/5): - Mattress/boxsprings torn up and extremely old. Nothing was updated in many years except the bedspread and drape. Fridge, microwave and coffee pot on top of each other in small closet. Filthy broken heater on eating table. Property unkept. Terrible paint colors, chipped walls & trim. Bathroom window had no screen and spider web across it. No electrical outlet in bathroom and the only one accessible was close to the floor so I had to put a chair there to charge our phones. Management actually knocked on the door early in the morning to see if we were leaving (saw that on one of the motel reviews). The room was extremely small. I would NEVER refer anyone to this motel. When our daughter saw the room she was very shocked because she had been told the rooms were remodeled. She even told the manager/owner that she would never suggest that motel again. Terrible experience.
- Mark (8/5): Rainy day - Room was small and sink clogged, key to the door almost did'nt open.
- David (4/5): - Price was the only thing that was good. Bathroom had some kind of stains on ceiling and if you were to run out of toilet paper I guess you use one of the towels. The sheets on the bed should be thrown away
- Patrick (2/5): - The ac, refridgerator, and bedside lite did not work. Somehow there was only hot water in the shower. The knob came off in my hand. Also the room was full of mosquitos. It was quiet (knowone else there. The front desk did give me ice for the fridge.
- Linda (8/5): - My stay at the Snowy River INN was okay. It was convenient to where I needed to go, it was right on the main highway through town. The place itself was nice, it was clean. overall it was nice
- Ellen (6/5): - It was not as clean as it should be, but it was a place to lay my head for the night and it was the least expensive option in that area.
- Gary (6/5): Adequate for my requirements - Clean bed, clean shower are my only requirements. This had both. If looking for luxury this is not your place.
- Angela (4/5): - Do not stay here! It is super dirty and run down
- lavendar_myst (2/5): Horrible - No hot water more often than not, no water pressure, scratchy horrible old towels, too expensive for what you get. More like a $40.00 a night motel than $70.00 plus price point.
Pay more go elsewhere.
Generally a disaster of a motel.
Negative 5 was our experience.
- Helen (10/5): - Just needed overnight room . Booked online and though pet friendly no mention of a pet deposit or how much which would have been helpful. There were dirty towels in bathroom but other wise adequately clean. Several quick and affordable eating options walking distance
- Kimberly (8/5): - The staff was very pleasant. Felt the room they put me could of been cleaned better. Almost as if they didn't clean. There was zero water pressure. Like drip drip drip was all I had to take a shower. Other then that it was convent walking to everything.
- dalton (6/5): - The person checking me in was nice and so was the staff they all made sure we had everything we needed and when i was checking out they were understanding that i couldn't figure out how to lock the top lock. The room itself was pretty clean however i noticed a few bugs crawling around the room as well as on the bed, the water in the shower was boiling hot and even after telling the owner and him "fixing" it i waited 2 hours and tried again but the water still came out hot it wasn't till the next morning that it finally cooled down.
- Patrick Kyle (6/5): - I did not like having to wait 40 minutes for a room upon check-in time. The bed sheets did not appear clean to me. The locking mechanism on the door malfunctioned; therefore, I was locked in my room. Despite my inconveniences, the owner was very generous.
- Markus (10/5): Yeaha - Good everything 😊
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I was given a non-smoking room, but it smelled smokey and musty. I got a headache as I am sensitive to smells. The service was friendly, the room was clean, and price was affordable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Overpriced for the experience. Our room
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Poor customer service - Extremely rude.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There were strong winds in Show Low on that day. I went to check-in, but the office door was locked - though the OPEN light was on. I rang the doorbell and knocked on the door; then knocked on a nearby door. After about 10 minutes of standing out in the strong winds, waiting, i gave up and left to go stay somewhere else.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The manager who lives on property was extremely rude and took 20 mins to come to the window. when he opened the window he dirty had blood all over his shirt and was not very coherant. after i showed him my reservation he said he did not have a room at the Travelocity price. then he left the window for 10 mins and came back and was still rude, he then said ok i could have the room, then 2 mins. later turned and slammed the window shut in my face and said go somewhere else!! It was cold and snowing and this is the worst treatment I have ever seen or heard of from a motel manager. absolutely unexcuseable!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Three beds for one room was nice but the toilet was clogged.
- Cecelia (8/5): Good Room - Good Room Served its purpose
- Pedro (2/5): Worst hotel ever still trying to get mymoneyback - We left the hotel and drove 30 miles to get a room somewhere else at midnight it was dirty and smelled bad worst service and they charged a different price than what Hotels.com gave us false advertisement I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone Hotels.com should not offer this plca to anyone till they upgrade the facility
- Kyle (4/5): - Staff were friendly but room were not as expected walls were crack open ,toliets didn't flush properly there t.v menu was a joke overall wouldn't stay again
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is a third world motel. Customer service does not exist. Do not stay here. This is not worth half the charged price. Expedia should not list this place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The desk clerk was fine, the property sucks. The room was freezing when we got in and it took over an hour for it to warm up. Floors were freezing, even after the room warmed up the bathroom room was extremely cold. The bathroom is from the 50's, pathetic. Will never return. On a good note, the hot water was really hot and did not take very long to get that way. This owner has no talent for repairs and absolutely no shame for how he presents his property to the public.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I t was a last-minute decision to stay in Show Low and we were not going to be in the room toher than to shower and sleep. It was clean but the facility is MANY decades old, indicating why there are nearly no modern amenities. They do have wifi which worked fine. No contennetal breakfast (not sure I would have wanted to eat it if they had one), the room was TINY but the double bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean but zero modern amenities.
Bottom line: I might stay there again under the same circumstances but fr $51 in the Phx valley you can get 3 times the room and amenities. It's safe.
- Silvia (6/5): - Ac was not working at room 117
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a place to sleep, it had coffee, thats about it
- Verified traveler (4/5): If you just need a place to lay your head - Very out dated room and thin walls could hear the neighbors cough. Seen a couple of roaches as well but the AC worked better than the motel I stayed in the night before.
- G9089PKannieb (2/5): Never again in Show Low - First off..what WOULD that black light reveal on matress? The box spring and matress looked 50 yrs old. The room DID STINK even tho we got a smoking room. The shower knob fell off while turning water on..water would not turn on. He offered another room..which did not have hot water either, and also smelled. We didn't even stay 20 minutes..He did give refund, but had really bad experience in Show Low all the way around...
- Becca7511 (2/5): Traveler Beware - The room had 3 beds—that was appealing. The room was dirty, had NO toilet paper. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or cups. The AC worked well. The towels resembled sand paper. The hot water turned off not forward or back but in the middle. The hot water was good though.
- 651tly (2/5): Hell hole!! - The room reeked of cigarette smoke. There was no toilet paper when we arrived. The coffee maker was not even assembled. The bathroom floors were very dirty. The carpet and upholstered chair were filthy. The walls didn’t meet the floor in the back of the room. The mattresses sagged in the middle. Need I go on? We stayed because it was no refund reservation, but before nightfall I bought new sheets and placed them over the existing bedding. Only time in my life I have done that. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Oh and the WiFi was out.
- 788terryc (2/5): Not completely horrid. - This is an old, old motel that has an odor, needs severe upkeep cosmetically. Locks work, heat works, bed sleeps/clean. Staff is quite pleasant. Wonder what a black light would reveal? Not returning. Ever.
- V9920ZMcathym (6/5): Just a place to sleep - I just needed a place to sleep for the night after a long drive to get to Show Low, AZ. The room was tiny, and the furnishings were minimal. At least the morel had a secured wi-fi system because it required a password to sign in. The sink was a pedestal type, and about to fall off the wall. There was a microwave, coffee maker, and a small refrigerator/freezer inside the corner of the bathroom area. The plug on the coffee maker barely reached the plug in. It was quiet, and I slept well. Many amenities were within a quick drive. Management was friendly and helpful as needed.
- sholbrook64 (2/5): Worst place ever - I can't believe that Expieda has this place on its site! It wasn't clean, it had a smell. The so called free HBO they didn't pay the I'll so they didn't have that but it was posted on their sign. The wifi was really slow hard to get it to connect. We paid $145. For 1 night! Unbelievable !
- mom-2-4boyz (2/5): Uninhabitable!!!! - How? How is this place even able to keep it's doors open? This entire property is one, big health violation!
There was a large trash can in front of the door...FULL of beer bottles....
Bloody fingerprints on the back of the door....yeah, I know, right?
Then, there was the black mold, everywhere....on the walls, baseboards...window sills....they tried to paint over the mold on the wall behind the tv....but it crept through anyway....
Flowered, 1970's sheets...don't even go there....
I opened one of the "closet" doors, only to find a large water heater closet...with the water heater, miscellaneous pieces of trash, large, random pieces of wall insulation laying against the water heater...along with several beer bottles....
As we were leaving, one of the doors to another room was wide open...with a naked lady walking around the room....Quite a show for my 11 year old twins....
The manager was VERY kind...I felt bad for him....even though it was a pre-paid, no refund reservation, he very kindly and promptly refunded our money with no problem. (I hope he doesn't get in trouble).
Consider yourself warned......
- veteran2016 (8/5): Friendly owners great price. - Comfortable rooms. GREAT shower! Provides all needed linens. Very friendly staff. Good heater/AC unit.
Far better than many others in Show Low like the Thunderbird, Kiva, Downtown 9, etc.
An ice machine would make a good addition.
- N2528QFbrianm (6/5): My stay - Was the last place in town to stay everyone else was sold out. Hard beds if that's your thing tossed and turned all night too hard for me. When I took a shower in the morning I was standing in water, the water was draining very slowly. If you have a three prong plug for any devise you might as well get a two prong adapter. Never again.
- Molesworth41st (6/5): Got what I paid for (and needed) - Didn't have high hopes of luxury when I booked. The rooms are "rustic" but since I was hunting it's what I needed. To bed at 7, up at 3, take a shower and go. Everything worked as advertised so I wasn't disappointed and was exactly what I needed because I couldn't camp due to monsoon activity!
