Guest Reviews
- Craig (10/5): -
- Kristrun (10/5): Would recommend and stay again - Beautiful location. Room was spacious and clean.
Restaurant was excellent
- Terry (10/5): - What a fabulous surprise after a long day’s drive. Ashley, the owner, greeted us with a huge welcoming smile. She had her staff assist with luggage without us asking. Two days before we arrived she called to make sure we had dinner reservations for the holiday weekend. A real class act.
- Candy (10/5): -
- Karla (8/5): - Very well maintained beautiful property… My concern was the difficulty trying to talk to a real person prior to our arrival…I had a question!! I booked the room online but was never able to connect until the day of arrival.
- Kandy (10/5): - Clean, quiet and very charming. Will stay again!
- Shiloh (8/5): - The deck on the water was beautiful however the pictures showed reclining lounge chairs but there were none which was disappointing, however the chairs that were there were comfortable and fresh and well maintained.
The room had old fixtures but the bedding and the window coverings and carpet were fresh and updated. It was very clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable. There was no microwave but there was a lovely little box that included little bites of yummy things. This was referred to as a breakfast box but by the time breakfast would have come, the items would have been stale so we just ate them throughout the evening that we checked in.
We checked out the restaurant which looked lovely but very expensive so we did not eat there.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but for $230 a night, it felt a bit high for what it was. It seemed as if there were only four rooms so I suppose that the rates need to be that high to keep this large building running. We chose this place because it had no bad reviews and that holds as we also do not have a bad review to leave as it was a nice place. Just be sure to adjust your expectations and you will have a lovely stay.
- Ted (10/5): - Food in room was OK
Did not eat in restaurant
Nice place to stay, great staff!
- Stephen (10/5): Warm and welcoming, clean and spacious, spectacular views, friendly staff, and mouth-watering food! - Location was picture perfect. Inn has an old-timey feel but with modern amenities and incredible cleanliness. Interesting touches in the room brought warm feelings of nostalgia. It feels like you're arriving and staying at someone's home. And that home has a spectacular view of Hubbard Lake. The staff was bright, friendly, and attentive. You can see they are happy to be part of the team at Churchill Pointe Inn. Co-leaders Ashley and Andy bent over backwards to make sure our stay exceeded our expectations. We also ate ate in the restaurant, and our food was out-of-this-world good, which we enjoyed while sitting on the deck, watching the sunset over Hubbard Lake. Honestly, there's nothing I can think of. Here's one thing: the windows took some effort to open. But how many hotels even have windows that open anymore? I was just glad I had the option.
- Julie (10/5): Worth the stop and stay! - The Inn keepers were very friendly and welcoming. They also upgraded us to a lake view at no additional charge which was nice surprise and bonus. The location is very pristine and peaceful. Our stay was very comfortable and definitely would stay here again. The Inn is historical so, although the room was very comfortable and clean, it was a little dated. A bigger shower with better lighting in the bathroom would have helped too.
- Lydia (7/5): It was a little further from other places than I expected, but it was quiet and clean. - I was not aware of any breakfast being served. They did leave me snacks in my room that were quite nice. The stairs to the parking lot outside didn't seem super stable and my dress got caught on a splinter. Maybe some reinforcement and painting would help.
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Sigrid (9/5): Superb -
- Emmanuelle (9/5): Superb - There was no breakfast option. Some home baked snacks were provided (and they were quite good).
Our room was clean, a bit outdated.
As we wanted to have snacks in our room, we realized there was only one chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed.
It was over all very comfortable for 1 night, and our view on the lake was a plus.
- Greg (10/5): Great getaway for couple - It was a last minute getaway for my husband and I and we were absolutely thrilled with our stay at Churchill Pointe Inn. From the box of sweets in our room upon arrival to the exceptional food at the onsite restaurant (OMG the bread is amazing!) that night, we can't complain one bit about our stay and highly recommend it! Beautiful location as well!
- Timothy (9/5): We as a group of five had a great time there. We all would stay there again. - We had dinner at this location. The meal was over the top. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. The lake view and staff were exceptional.
- Teresa (8/5): Very good -
- Yalanda (10/5): Perfect! - Location was beautiful. Owners were so kind and helpful. Will definitely go back!
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyle (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Thompson (10/5): Wonderful. Restaurant was exceptional. -
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Russell (10/5): Awesome place for an anniversary. - My wife and I went to the Inn for our 40th wedding anniversary. The staff was very friendly, especially Ashley. She is a lot of the reason the Inn receives such a high rating from their guest. The bed was excellent, and my wife and I would have liked to take the bed home. I haven't slept that well in a long time. The food in the restaurant was awesome. The garden view was the parking lot and the neighbor's back yard. Not a garden at all. I guess I was expecting a nice garden like I had seen on my visit to England.
- Lesa (9/5): Superb -
- Lee (10/5): If you need a soothing comfortable emotional get a way that will rejuvinate you, this is it. - Wonderful relaxing experience. First class restaurant attached to inn personnel were exceptionally kind and attentive. this includes both the inn and restaurant.
We were returning from a very horrible death in the family for a week, so this mini respite, was really needed to recover a little bit from an excruciating situation. The location was exactly what we needed. There was nothing we didn't like, but if there had been a phone number for a masseuse who would have been available to travel to our room, it would have been great.
Also, the breakfast box in our room was lovely, but more fruit, and less sugary items would have been wonderful. So many people today suffer from diabetes and overweight. It was all just too sweet.
- Marcia (10/5): Relaxing -
- George (7/5): Good -
- Mary (10/5): Ashely always makes us feel so welcome. We will definitely be coming back. - The room is comfortable and clean. The views of the lake are beautiful! Such a lovely place to relax.
- Stacey (10/5): - Great place!
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional - The room was clean and comfortable. The view out the window was great! The breakfast box was an unexpected nice treat. Nothing
- Jana (8/5): Our stay at Churchill Pointe Inn was as wonderfull as ever. This is the best hotel on Hubbard Lake - What I liked best was Hubbard Lake was right outside the window. The owner came in to water the flower boxes and talked to us like we were neighbors. The two hard working staff that freshened our room were very pleasant, quick and efficient. I wish we had a boat to dock out on the docks. Hubbard means a lot to me, our family rented a cabin 2 weeks of every summer. I have so many precious memories of my Dad teaching me to fish and water ski. Great fishing, water skiing, tubing, sand bar parties, fourth of July events. The food at Churchill Pointe is fantastic!!
- Laurie (7/5): Good -
- Linda (10/5): Na - Na Na
- Anne (10/5): - Beautiful lake front property. Front deck and outdoor eating are so special. Wish we good have stayed longer. ‼️
- Yvonne (10/5): Exceptional -
- THOMAS (10/5): - Room was adequate-the view was very beautiful
- Jamieson (7/5): Good - Beautiful location Wish there was a breakfast. The bathroom is very small.
- Preston (10/5): - The owner and his family are simply the best! Very kind, considerate, and accommodating.
- Michelle (8/5): - What a charming place to stay! There are steps to get up to the rooms so keep that in mind. The restaurant is 5 stars!!!!
- Sheila (10/5): Always special! - This was our fourth stay so we obviously love this place! Totally understand but wish the restaurant was open seven days a week.
- Shelley (9/5): Superb - Comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet lake setting and a great dinner restaurant. The breakfast box with fruit and pastries was nice. A shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would have been handy.
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joshua (10/5): - Churchill Pointe Inn is the perfect weekend getaway. The staff is accommodating, has great communication, and is very hospitable. Ashley made us feel right at home upon our arrival. We are already planning our next trip back.
The amazing food was accompanied by phenomenal views and a tranquil atmosphere.
Thank you Churchill Pointe Inn for making a truly memorable experience.
- Stephanie (8/5): - Very peaceful setting and the instructions for check-in were great ! Loved the goodie basket in the room!
Nice clean room!
Some aspects could be updated(i.e. room doors) but all in all quite a pleasant stay.
- Syeda (10/5): Serenity - The suite was awesome with the serene lakeview and the peace and quiet was exceptional. The owner was very kind and hospitality was phenomenal. Definitely recommend this property for those who want to go take a break from life's hustle and bustles Nothing to complain
- loretta (10/5): Nice place to stay - The hotel was clean and big. The coffee and snacks in the room is a nice surprise. The owners are super friendly. The views of Hubbard lake are beautiful.
- Debra (10/5): - Stairs to the room were to steep for 60 Persons
- Daniel (10/5): - Beautiful Hubbard Lake!
- Richard (10/5): - Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food was wonderful.
- Julia (8/5): - Our stay was nice and relaxing. It felt more private than a hotel. I enjoyed the scones for breakfast but I would’ve liked a variety for breakfast as we stayed 3 nights. The restaurant was delicious but we were only able to dine once due to the limited availability.
- Melinda (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (10/5): - Cute, clean facility
- Shirley (10/5): - Cute little spot along the lake. I loved the basket of goodies left in the room, best scone ever! It was clean and quiet, just what we were looking forward to.
- Michael (10/5): - The hosts were extremely friendly, gracious, and helpful. We had a beautiful room overlooking the lake. There were a lot of little touches that made our stay special. I would highly recommend Churchill Pointe Inn to anyone looking for nice lodging in the Hubbard Lake area.
- Charles (10/5): - Semi secluded right on the lake room also had a lake view. Restaurant had great food with great service
- Michael (8/5): Warm, friendly, inviting - The room was beautiful, the food was delicious, the staff were attentive. The mattress in room 1 needs to be replaced. It is not level to sleep in.
- Karen (10/5): - I liked how it was very hands off. You did not have to interact with the staff or other guest if you didn’t want to. Very organized and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful morning views
- Kristen (10/5): Excellent - Excellent! Very clean and very friendly! Views were amazing and the beds were very comfy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was right on the lake...nice view
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was spotless. We had a problem with our fridge, Ashley came to our room within minutes to remedy the situation. Our friends were in another room. The ac quit working and they quickly brought in a portable ac. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return and recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful setting. Nice, clean room. Not ideal for persons who have difficulty climbing steps because all rooms are accessible only by climbing stairs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room, friendly staff. Great place to have a drink and watch the lake.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - food was good and fairly priced. room eas dsted though comfortable and way over priced.
- Joanie (8/5): - Very nice stay for two nights . Dinner was excellent but the waitress did not seem experienced at all ? Come to find out she has worked there for years . Not asking if we would like appetizers , not introducing herself to us. Just the small stuff is important. Otherwise very nice stay !
- Melissa (10/5): Stop here! - This is a perfect little gem! Restaurant was also good!
- Deb (10/5): - Everything was so nice . A very nice quaint place to get away for a couple of days.
- Dot (10/5): - This was our first visit to the Inn and our choice was perfect! The Inn was peaceful & so relaxing. Don
and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The Inn was exactly was we were looking for... and the dinner was excellent by the way!
- Barbara (8/5): Inn - My stay was very nice. The property itself is beautiful and right on the lake. The room was very clean with crisp white linens on the beds. Mattresses could be updated but took nothing away from my stay. Sharon, the Inn keeper could not have been more attentive. Oh, the food at the Inn was excellent as well.
- Tina (10/5): - It was just the perfect little getaway in a perfect setting. The kind & efficient staff, accommodations and beautiful Hubbard lake directly outside my window. I did not get to eat at the on site restaurant because of other plans, but heard from others it was amazing. I look forward to returning 😊
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Family owned business. Extremely hard working to make your stay very enjoyable. Food at restaurant was top notch. All staff friendly and accommodating.
- joanna (10/5): Beautiful setting and cozy Inn! - Lovely place! Clean comfortable in a beautiful setting! The service was friendly and accommodating and we wanted for nothing!
- Gerald (8/5): - Great place for a private getaway
- Nicholas (10/5): Definitely would book again - Beautiful view, the most friendly staff I have have ever met, the food was fantastic
- Jane (6/5): Lovely Place - The Inn is very very nice and the setting gorgeous. The room was spacious and well appointed. However we were disappointed that when we arrived no one was there and no even a light was on to welcome us. Also be aware that right after Labor Day the dining room isn’t open on Monday through Wednesday nights. I’m sure we would return for a visit if we lived closer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely inn - Lovely inn with gracious hosts. Nice deck overlooking the lake. Be aware there is no elevator.
- Jan (10/5): Restaurant/lounge closed on Mondays - Inn is not staffed on Mondays but our room had been well set up. Unfortunately restaurant and lounge were also closed on Monday. Choose another day.
- Carol (10/5): Fantastic hotel - A wonderful hotel family run, the only problem we encountered was dinner stopped serving at 8pm and breakfast was in a basket in the room, not ideal but made up by the fact it was a fantastic hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay here again - Fabulous hosts, food, accommodations
- Sida (8/5): Beautiful area - Bed is old and not comfortable.
- Nancy (10/5): Beautiful location - The Inn was a pleasant surprise! The hotel is located within feet of Hubbard Lake, you are able to walk along the shoreline, or sit at the spacious deck that is connected to the large lower level restaurant. The dining room looked great, but unfortunately was not open when we where there (only open portion of the week in Oct.). The rooms are small but clean. The bed was super comfortable, sleeping was great as you can hear water lapping up onto the shoreline (lakeside room). Very good t.v. reception, with a decent selection of channels. The owners were very nice, attentive and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable stay, I look forward to going back there!
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful room overlooking the lake... - My husband I stayed here at the end of July. The owner allowed us to check in early and was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and very clean. All the staff was very pleasant and friendly. We can't wait for an opportunity to come back. Although, there is not a breakfast available in the morning the basket of goodies in the room was more than sufficient. The homemade cookies were delicious and the restaurant dinner was excellent also.
- Peter (10/5): What we needed - Awesome view of the lake from our window. Clean accommodations. Comfortable bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice out of the way place to stay for the evening. Attached restaurant served excellent food. Staff was unbelievably nice and accomodating.
