Das Zimmer war piccobello sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet,sogar Kaminholz für den kleinen Kaminofen war vorhanden. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen nicht zu übertreffen, dazu gab uns Stacey gute Tipps für Restaurants und Veranstaltungen. Die Lage ist super zentral und doch sehr ruhig. Volle Empfehlung von uns!

The breakfast served in the room was exotic and professionally presented. It was not the usual stuff you get in a restaurant and it was different every day
- Dionne (10/5): Super plek met een super service ! - WAUW! Dit was veruit onze aller beste ervaring in Zuid-Afrika qua Accomodatie en service. De plek ligt heel centraal in het dorpje ( paar minuutjes lopen tot winkel/ restaurantjes/, de plek is veilig en heeft een beveiligde poort ( konden overigens overdag en ‘s avonds ook veilig over straat, erg vriendelijke mensen en er reed regelmatig politie of beveiliging in het centrum rond). Het bed was heerlijk en de roomservice qua schoonmaak, de kachel voorbereiden met hout zodat je deze savonds makkelijk aan kunt doen én het bizar goede ontbijt dat op je kamer wordt gebracht zijn echt perfect. De gastvrouw, Stacey, is ook heel aardig en goed bereikbaar voor vragen etc. Daarnaast is Clarens zelf ook een enorme aanrader. -

- Simone (8/5): - Herzlicher Empfang, die Lage war sehr zentral, die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten bequem. Das Frühstück wurde im Zimmer serviert, so dass wir als Familie (2 Zimmer gebucht) nicht gemeinsam frühstücken konnten.

- Megan (10/5): We loved our stay - We had the most wonderful stay this past weekend in the Willow Cottage at Upper House. Stacey went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable from the moment we arrived. The cottage was spotless, beautifully kept, and perfectly located. It was just a short walk or drive to town in a very safe area. We loved the cozy touches like the heated blankets, heaters, and the wood burning fireplace, which made our stay extra special in the chilly June weather. The staff were also exceptional, so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. It was fresh, delicious, and a real highlight of our mornings. We truly enjoyed every moment and could not recommend Upper House enough. Thank you for such a lovely experience.
- Alecia (10/5): Everything at Upper house guest house is very well thought out providing incredible service and comfort. - The room was incredibly spacious and everything was very well thought out. Stacy provided sherry for the cold and there was a fireplace aswell. The room was cleaned exceptionally for us and the amenities were replenished daily. Every detail is catered to at Upper house and a lot of thought has been put into guest comfort. Our breakfasts were top notch with fresh hot food served daily. We were also given a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary! Upper House guesthouse is an incredible guesthouse and a must visit for anyone passing through Clarens. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
- Rudolf (10/5): Beautiful property in a cute village - Beautiful property in a cute and safe village, Clarens. Our host was very friendly. We loved our stay. Heating is provided by burning wood, but this did not make the room fully comfortable with the cold mornings and evenings we experienced..
- Brockett (9/5): Excellent accommodation in an interesting town - Breakfast was excellent and served in your room. The room was well appointed with an excellent bathroom and comfortable lounge. A wood burning stove was also provided which is a bonus.
