When I arrived, I was told my reservation was worthless due to overbooking and was sent to a distant hotel far from the city center. The alternative hotel was mediocre and inconvenient. The room I was given there was atrocious. The air conditioning was broken, making the room unbearably hot, and it overlooked a prison yard. To top it off, the staff were rude and even refused to provide an iron for safety reasons. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and I’ve traveled extensively. Avoid this place if you value your sanity and comfort. This is deceptive marketing and terrible service. And when I called Expedia the night I arrived, they weren't of much help. This will probably be the last time I use this site to book a hotel.

- John (2/5): - The hotel is a very hard to locate environment, the lighting is poor and it is quite isolate, the room curtains does no cover the length of the windows so you have to keep the lights off so no one can seen inside the room from outside. The management of the hotel and the other hotels under the group are set up to rip you off, every one of amenities advertised from pool to spa etc are not available, if you don’t have your booking receipt you will be charged afresh at the reception or will be turned back, the room has a little fridge with a couple of drinks I will advice do not touch it, the price is ten times the actual amount, take pictures of everything in the room on arrival to save yourself from ridiculous charges at checkout. In my case I was told I took alcohol but luckily I and my partner don’t drink and I had a picture I took at check-in that was my evidence at checkout it was the most ridiculous place I have ever stayed on a holiday. There is this one staff Elio he was very kind and helpful he is always on early shift, he made the stay at the hotel less hostile.

The breakfast is poor. There is no pool at the premises. The place is worn out and untidy. Don't get me wrong. I love Tirana and Albania, but this place is a disgrace.

However, after booking two rooms and arriving at the hotel on the day of arrival, issues occurred. The receptionist told us that they were trying to locate our rooms and had us waiting 45 minutes before being told that they don't have any rooms and were going to re-direct us 20 minutes away to another hotel. Well away from the area we wished to stay in. What made it worse was that a couple came in while we were there and got assigned a hotel room without any issue. So basically, we were lied to by the hotel. Anyhow, we refused that offer of relocation, being that we had been waiting over an hour now. The receptionist was back and forth with her boss. It's an absolute shambling hotel. THE HOTEL STILL HAS NOT GIVEN MY REFUND BACK!!! Will be trying to get my money back via hotel.com or my credit card company

- Tim (4/5): Very disappointing -do read - Very disappointing. Arrived to be told €50 (2 nights @ €25pp) for providing service. It was not mentioned at time of booking, but was highly in an email sent two hours before my arrival. I was flying in at that time! €100 deposit in CASH only, despite it saying credit cards accepted on the booking. Room was unlike pics, towels had holes, no toilet paper, soap or shampoo. I woke to find my bathroom flooded - even though I had only brushed my teeth the night before. There was no lift, whilst the breakfast room remained in darkness. Check out was by 8.00am or €35 per hour surcharge. The hotel was cheap, but that does not excuse poor standards or attempts to rip people off. One saving grace was the guy in reception (wore glasses), who I saw twice. He was more understanding and appeared sympathetic.

Second the first room that we checked into was stinking of cigarettes smoke, the lights not all worked, in the bathroom the shower door was broken and only had on door on it, water water would run out like a tap. We asked for a change of room and the reception offered the next room, on arrival the water heater was dripping water from both sides, one side onto the floor resulting in a puddle, the other side was dripping Into the hair dryer ( which we only noticed the next morning), the shower also didn’t work properly. As a result we asked to move again which the reception said there was no other rooms and that MAYBE in the morning there might be a chance as they were full. As the hotel seemed to be empty we decide to forget the trouble of talking again with reception as communication in English was very difficult as no one really seemed to speak English, as decided to check out that morning. No refund of car parking which I paid extra as a result of having to be crazy to drive in the city (seem at least eight crashes in 1 1/2 days) parking was only a space behind the building. All together can’t possibly rate this hotel as zero is not low enough. Don’t get me wrong, Albania is a beautiful and exciting country.
- Ryan (2/5): - We booked a large family room that claimed to sleep 6, have 2 bathrooms, and at least 1 large bed and 2 smaller beds. When checking in, the concierge seemed extremely unhappy to be helping us. There was some confusion over the 12000 LEK cash deposit that was required. He sent us to our room, which was a tiny room with 1 bed. Not what we had asked for. We showed our confirmation number and what we had paid for. He sent us to another room after having to charge his phone for a bit. This was a larger room with still 1 bed and now an odd shaped couch. The air conditioning wasn’t working either. We called the property manager and were told they’d call us back. One of the men who worked there came to tell us he has another room. We told him the A/C wasn’t working and he said “yeah”. He then gave us another small room with 1 large bed and 1 small bed. Still not what we asked for but we needed a place to stay so we took it. The shower didn’t have a wall or curtain and there was simply a tiny, broken ledge. Water went everywhere. The door to the balcony had a large piece of broken glass missing on the outside. The man who gave us the room said “yes, but it’s on the outside”. Very unprofessional, with bad service, and no help whatsoever. It seemed like pulling teeth to even ask a question.

First of all, I was told that my original booking here had been changed because they were fully booked, despite reserving and paying for my room over 2 months ago. I didn't find out about this until I was in the taxi they had booked to pick me up at the airport and the driver told me. The driver advised that the new hotel was close by, but when we arrived I discovered it was actually a 35 minute walk away from where I originally wanted to stay. They then had the nerve to try and charge me an extra €75!!!! I believe they were trying to rip me off because it was a late (midnight) check in and they thought inhad no other option but thankfully I did.
- Vikhram (2/5): - This place is run by a group of what can only be described as “scamsters” as they will try to take your money at every opportunity. Booked a triple room to stay with family. Allocated room had a broken shower so was given a temporary small room which also had a broken lock. The lock was the only thing they fixed. Had to stay with family in the smaller room for 5 days and they wouldn’t even refund the difference in room price. Not so much as a courtesy of apology. Also, come to find out later that they are massively overcharging customers for city tax. Govt prescribed rate per Expedia is 1.22 Euros per person per night. They charge 8 Euros per person per night. So what should have been ~18 Euros for us was instead 120 Euros. Checked in around midnight so we paid it initially to check in. When asked, they say we “fix the city tax and hey, you agreed and paid” Jaw dropped when they said that. All crooks and fraudsters. Avoid this place at all costs. Also, they advertise that this place has a pool but it’s at a different venue! Breakfast is very poor. Surprised as to how they are even in business. Over our time here, came across at least 7 angry staying residents fighting for something or the other at the reception. Location is the only plus to this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Will save you money and won’t ruin your holiday

Never book a room here if you don't want to face all sorts of problems and bullying. If the owner of the hotel is a normal person, then he needs to fire the manager and Daniel from the reception. They do not respect customers at all and do everything so that no one stays in this unpleasant place.

- Karolis (2/5): Borderline scam. Would avoid at all costs. - This hotel is borderline scam. The location is great but there are serious issues with everything else: 1. Despite paying the price with taxes, they added more taxes 2. Adding the taxes and parking fees made the total price double in EUR 3. Despite calculating the price in EUR and me having EUR, they insisted their card machine only accepts the local currency, so they recalculated the amount to the local currency with 12%+ conversion charges 4. There was no blanket in the room. In the cold season with no heating it was very cold to sleep and the hotel did not provide a blanket despite the promises 5. the parking fits 3 cars but it is design in the way that everytime a car wants to leave, other cars have to move away. They woke me up every morning at around 8am to move the car because someone else wanted to leave. They would also call the guests to move the cars even though they are not in the hotel. This is a big inconvenience as you cannot leave the hotel without your car in the evening. 6. the hotel does not look like in the pictures.

The poor guy at reception did all he could to help but was very limited. BEWARE of the minibar in the room, the prices are an absolute joke! A soft drink that costs 50cent will cost you €4.50. Avoid at all cost! They also made me pay an an extra €4 per person for “taxes” even though the tax was included in the booking. Absolute JOKE! Its a shame places like this are allowed to operate, they should be shut down!

When I tried leaving the parking garage, the parking attendant had not been notified and wanted me to pay. I said I already paid. He told me to call the hotel because he was too lazy to call himself! I got to the 2nd hotel only told to go to the 3rd hotel. at 4am I finally went to bed. The staff working there is very hit or miss, some friendly, others rude, but overall I'd say all pretty clueless... On here it states that check-in is at noon, so I arranged transportation and arrived just about noon expecting to check-in and head out to explore the city. I show up at the desk asking to check-in and the person there just looks at me with this puzzled dumb look on his face saying "check-in is at 3PM". I'm standing there with all my luggage thinking maybe I screwed up and misread the hotel itinerary. So I ask if there's anything that he could do, if I could check in early? He just says no and that's that. So I was then forced to walk out and sit out front with all my bags for 3 hours waiting for check-in time effectively running plans for my entire afternoon... Also, I paid extra for the Full Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Next day after check-in I asked a (different individual) about it since no one mentioned anything, to which I was told 'the kitchen is broken'. Yes, those exact words came out of this person's mouth with this totally dumb look on his face. No, this wasn't a language barrier type of deal, there wasn't any confusion about what I asked, he was very clear... Confused, I asked him, "what do you mean the kitchen is broken?" To which I get told that there's no food available. No refund was offered and said nothing cou

- Adam (2/5): - Stranded in Albania... 🇦🇱 I was incredibly let down when I arrived to the VH Broadway Tirana Hotel in the early hours of this morning to find out that the room I had booked and paid for 3 weeks ago wasn't available. Despite letting them know weeks in advance of my arrival time, they registered me as a "no show" and gave my room to someone else. "We have 3 other hotels which I can give you for a good price", said the receptionist. I replied "No thanks, I've paid for this one through Expedia, they'll sort alternative accommodation out for me and deal with your management for giving my room away". I had no idea I'd be even more disappointed with Expedia. Then after 35 minutes on the phone to Expedia, they refused to provide me with alternative accommodation and said the best they can do is "try and get a refund". "Would you like to book another hotel through us sir?" asked the Expedia agent at 4 o'clock in the morning. "No I wouldn't, not now, and not ever. Why would I when this reservation was booked and paid for through you and I'm here after hours travel, no sleep, and stranded in a country I've never been to before?" I then proceeded to book a stay at a proper hotel directly through their website. After a 20 minute walk I arrived at the reception of The Hilton Garden Inn Tirana, and the kind professional gentleman at reception allowed me to check in, even though it was 5:30am. This is how it should be done!

We booked this hotel looking at the upgraded room pictures on hotels.com website and special mobile deal discount. We reached at the hotel midnight as our flight arrived late. As i opened the Reception door, the room was filled with cigarette smoke and few men drinking beer. The Receptionist didnt welcome us just said you owe us 31 Euros! As per our booking we owed them 26 euros including taxes. He made up a story of 2.5% city tax per person. We were tired just wanted to get in the room. We got a horrible exchange rate, total rip off! Worst part was the hotel room was a outdated room with very basic old furniture uncomfortable bed and mattress, outdated bathroom old goddy curtains ans the balcony door was left open! The room was freezing cold. The mini bar had a pringle box which was already empty. They charged us another 2.5 euro for 200ml water. Absolutely horrendous, do yourself a favor and find another hotel! Hotel.com tried a lot to chase them for refund but failed. We are satisfied with hotel.com customer service. But definitely wouldn't recommend this dodgy hotel to any traveler, stay away ! Deceiving pictures!
- Randy (2/5): Don't put yourself through it!!! - Bad from the start. They didn't have my reservation...of course. They overcharged me by $9.00. Said it was the new city tax even though through Hotels.Com it stated the amount I should pay. The room they put me in was smaller than any hotel room I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in cities with small hotel rooms, such as Istanbul, London, Peris, etc. Everything Hotels.Com stated in the description was completely inaccurate (the double bed, balcony, etc.) I demanded a different room but couldn't get it until the second night. It goes on and on. See my photos for the size of the hotel room, with my water bottle as an indicator of the size of the room, and what greets you when you walk into the supposed lobby. There is no lobby, just a check-in desk and a couple of places to sit. No address, no name on the Hotel...on it goes. Don't put yourself through it!!!

- Raj (4/5): - While the hotel is in a quiet location it is noisy at night. Told the front desk twice about some banging a door and screaming during the night and they didn’t do anything. No curfews, people were talking loadly in the hallway was difficult to sleep at times. Hotel need to improve it security especially with the incident above and impose a quiet curfew time so guests can sleep

- Amy (10/5): A real gem in heart of Tirana - Kind, open staff, delightful cozy room with a balcony, included hearty breakfast plus one espresso drink, a gourmet quality restaurant on premises and in a neighborhood ripe with cafes and clubs! Hotel Broadway is a must not miss in any price range. My only suggestion would be that they give better directions to find it as the Hotel Broadway sign in pictures has been removed.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was our first time/first hotel in Albania and I cannot be happy enough with the experience. The hotel itself is appealing in both presentation and offerings with a dedicated staff able to help with anything one may need. If we ever find our way back to Tirana we would most definitely go back and I would extend an offer to anyone going to Albania to stay here.
- Joachim (10/5): I will come back - I have had a great time in Broadway Hotel. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. My room was completely quiet and very clean. 10 minutes walk away from the City Center was perfect for me. I have explored almost all cities around Tirana from here.

- Moira (10/5): Convenient and friendly - Normally stay at the Theranda Hotel but they had double booked. This hotel is close to the Theranda very close to the "Bloku" area of Tirana. Nice area to stay with loads of bars, coffee bars, restaurants and convenient to the centre. Very friendly and helpful service. Decor in room was a bit old fashioned otherwise fine. Good wifi, TV with a range of English channels, balcony (although view of local flats). Good breakfast and coffee. There is a bar and restaurant in the garden area. Hotel is good value.

- Claire (10/5): Steller customer Service! Best so far in Tirana ++ - The hotel may be 3* and be a little dated on the inside but it has an amazing 5* customer service. They were all friendly and accommodating. They also had a great recommendation for a restaurant just around the corner called Drini if you want some seafood. They also found my husband's phone when he left it under a pillow and put it in reception and waiting for the owner to call it to get it back. We noticed it was gone a couple of hours later and not in Tirana anymore but it was ready and still had some battery when we got it. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay again. - E&A (10/5): Great find! - The Broadway Hotel is a great small hotel conveniently located within walking distance of the main city square. The owner and staff go out of their way to assist guests. One of them walked us over to her favorite pizza restaurant. It needs a little touch-up paint, but the staff, care, and location more than make up for that. An outstanding bargain!

Very close to Tirana square with lots of cafe / bar and restaurants all within a very easy walking distance. Would definitely book again and stay at this hotel
- Noor39 (10/5): 3 star hotel with 5 star service! - We stayed in this hotel from 3rd May till 6th May and we were very happy with the service level. The room is quite spacious with a balcony. The bathroom is ok too with a huge wash basin but the shower area is small. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to cafes and shops. What makes our stay memorable was the warm and friendly service by the hotel staff especially Stefania who amazed us with her bubbly personality. This hotel is 3 star but I'd give it 5 star for its spectacular service!

Location is in a quiet semi-residential neighbourhood with plenty of eating places nearby. Across the river lies the heart of Tirana and ts sights a pleasant walk away. Broadway Hotel worked just fine as a starting point for our Balkan travels. Great value.

Airport shuttle is provided if you email them prior to your arrival, and it costs 15 euro per trip. Breakfast and internet provided.
- Richard (10/5): Absolutely wonderful Hotel in convenient location - This is a beautiful family run Hotel and the rooms and staff are wonderful. There is a lift to all floors and everything is exceptionally clean. The self service breakfast is great and individual items like scrambled eggs or omelette are dealt with promptly. The owners son Bruno takes great pride in the Hotel and has a huge knowledge of Albanian history and politics. We took a tour around the city with him and we had a fantastically interesting time. The selection of restaurants and bars around Hotel is fantastic and Bruno will recommend the best ones and even personally show you where they are. I cannot recommend this Hotel it's staff and location enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Absolutely fantastic stay - This was a very good and truly enjoyable experience. Since the moment we arrived, exhausted after having spent many hours driving from Montenegro and countless traffic jams, the night receptionist was simply awesome. You cannot get any more friendly and nicer than she. She speaks perfect English, Spanish, English, Greek, Albanian, Italian and probably even more languages. We were give immediately our room, was very generous in size, with a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and in perfect shape. Breakfast although simple, was good enough to keep you going, furthermore, they prepare a very nice coffee and eggs (omelets, fried eggs or boiled eggs, of course also included with your breakfast). The location was great! They do have private car park so we could leave our rental car without any problems. Walking distance to the centre and the sights of Tirana, and almost literally around the corner a fantastic restaurant which we ended up going the 3 days we stayed. Absolutely recommended to anyone, and for sure will not hesitate in repeating stay with them! Keep your friendly and kind approach, you're doing really great.
