Guest Reviews
- Takuya (10/5): - 自然に囲まれた静かな部屋で、ゆっくり過ごすことができました。スタッフの方も気さくで接しやすかったです。
少し中心地から離れているので、次回はレンタルバイクを使って宿泊したいと思います。
- Abigail (10/5): - Pho Rak Nah was absolutely incredible! The jungle bungalow was amazing, clean, and check in was very easy. Clean/filtered drinking water is provided in the main kitchen area! Very secluded, safe, and quiet, and 20-25 minute walk into town/ 5minute scooter ride. Thank you for welcoming us to pai!
- Brad (6/5): - The way I look at it is you’re paying basically nothing and you’re getting something out of it. So can’t complain
- Katherine Haley (6/5): - The place overall is ok. The staff is nice, but not often available. We stayed 3 nights and were never able to get someone to ask for an extra blanket as our room was SO cold at night. Fine for a few night stay but wouldn’t want to stay longer than 2 nights.
- Maddie (10/5): - Great, laid-back property just a fifteen minute walk out of town (even shorter with scooter). Cute restaurants, coffee shops, and laundry within a two minute walk. Huts are simple, but very nice and clean.
- Sandi (10/5): - Staff were extra helpful and my hut was so very unique - would recommend to anyone who wants to be off the main drag.
- Michael (8/5): Love Pai and this Guesthouse - I really enjoyed my stay here. The host was super helpful with every question and anything I needed. The Wifi was strong, the shower wasn't very hot but I found out if you don't use full on the water doesn't cool off from too much water. The location was easy to find, all taxis know where it is. It is in a very quiet area next to a field that an old lady and her husband farm their crops. A great restaurant just 50 meters from the guesthouse with fantastic food. A must try their Khoa Soi, so good. He can arrange a scooter for you cheaply. The small huts are clean and beds are comfortable. I would most definitely stay here again.
- Triplegem2017 (10/5): A Laid Back GH, Even By Pai Standards - This place is fantastic if you want to get away from it all. It's on a dirt road 15 minutes walk from town, so a motorbike rental is advised. The individual bungalows have character, and the views of the surrounding countryside are awesome. The mud huts are a bit more expensive, but I prefer the round shape to the sharp corners of the wooden ones. It is a short walk from the White Buddha on the hillside, a perfect spot for viewing the sunset. No restaurant, but an excellent one called The House is but a two minute walk further along the dirt road. Be sure you have mosquito spray for
sunset, but that's the only time you will need it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice tranquil place to stay, rustic, exactly as it looks in the pictures and description.
- Pring (8/5): Nice and kind staffs - Owner and staffs are so nice and kind. The owner allowed me to choose the room that I like and want to stay. They also provided me interesting places in Pai.
- V9608PU_ (10/5): ideal place - Great guesthouse we have a wonderful time.
Beautiful and clean rooms and great stuff that provide us a lot of information and tips about traveling at the area. Home style feeling and good vibes.
Quite place near the city.
- Inderpal (8/5): Lovely place - A lovely place tucked away from the main road so quiet. The staff are helpful and it is only a short walk to a few cafes.
A bit out of the way but perfectly easy to walk into Pai. 15 mins walk.
The deluxe cottage was spacious, good Wi-Fi and the fan was perfect to keep you cool. Good value for money.
Get a scooter for total freedom
- sarah (10/5): Idyllic location and friendly staff - We had a wonderful stay thanks to a friendly receptionist who is a fluent English speaker. He was very helpful and gave us lots of good sightseeing tips. The well-maintained wooden houses on a beautiful location have a bathroom that has both a modern hot shower and a rustic bamboo shower. Our room had a balcony that looked out over a charming pond surrounded by hanging lights.
- b0ish (10/5): An awesome experience - We loved to stay in our beautiful bungalow with our great terrace. The guesthouse is located a bit outside of the inner part of Pai, so you have a nice and quiet stay but at the the same time a relatively short way to all the bars and restaurants.
The area with its little pond and the small river is enjoyable.
But the best of all are housekeeper Zun (I hope he''s written like that) and his awesome girlfriend Glenda. They are just great!
- daviddO3421VT (10/5): Wonderful - Had a lovely time at Pho Rak. We stayed 5 nights in November. The huts are all private with their own bathroom. We stayed in an earth hut which was a really cool experience in itself. The bathroom was huge and they have hot showers. The staff were incredibly helpful (gave us recommendations on where to go and what order to see them in)and friendly. We got to the hotel early and they let us drop our bags off and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee and relax next to the pond. None of the rooms have AC, but have fans. They have a communal kitchen with a kettle. The bed was extremely firm. The town is about a mile away. The grounds are absolutely stunning and so serene. Totally worth traveling the distance! We saw people walking but I'd suggest renting a scooter in town or calling a taxi. The rooms were painted beautifully. We sat on our porch every morning and night and even made a couple kitty friends.
- Hayley (10/5): Peaceful stay! - A lovely quiet stay in a beautiful wooden hut that was clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Location was great for exploring the main area of Pai.
- grettam2013 (10/5): Tranquile and lovely host - We had an amazing time here, Close to the center but far anough to Enjoy the quiet nature and listen to the bird songs and river sounds. Accomodation is basic but definitely good enough. Very cheap and lovely, we will be back.
- George0483 (10/5): Relax and lovely place - It is a lovely and quiet place in the midst of nature. The guesthouse has a relaxing public area to chill out next to the pond.
Its bout 10 ~ 15 mins walk from town, next to the big Buddha, easy hike to the mountain for the sunset. Everything is perfect will back again.
- 259maraz (10/5): Awesome quiet and cute place to be. - The best place for a getaway from humans.
It's like being back where eternity started, to quote a famous writer.
Clean for my standards (I mean it's countryside, don't expect more than you can get).
Hot shower.
Insects and gekos are the norm in Thailand, so that should not be even mentioned in a review. Unless you pay a LOT more to get a European-like hotel.
The staff was nice. I talked to them once when I checked in and once when I checked out and they speak enough English for that. Which was awesome, I went there to just be alone.
Free Wi-Fi, working very well.
There's a very healthy, and tasty, organic restaurant 3 minutes from there, so not having breakfast at PhoRakNahPai was even better. (The food in Pai is generally awesome, much, much better than the one in Chiang Mai, where I have been living for 5 months. The variety and the prices rock.)
What can I say: I got EXACTLY what I wanted from my getaway.
Thank you.
- anoukk462 (8/5): Loved this place! - We stayed in this guesthouse for 4 nights. The bungalows are located in a beautiful and quiet garden and have a terrace and hammack. The inside is basic but it had all we needed: a fan (this is enough, because it gets a bit chilly at night), a bed and an ensuite bathroom which was half open and had a nice hot shower. The place is a bit difficult to find and out of the centre but with a motorbike (cheap to rent) you'll be fine. The public pool is also close and worth paying a visit (a lot of backpackers). The owner is a very nice man, which let us check out at 5pm because I was ill. The only thing missing was toilet paper (you should bring this with you). I would definitely stay here again!
