• Gerard (6/5): Very nice location - Location The sink in the ensuite bathroom was blocked. The soap holder in the ensuite shower was attached properly and was on the shower floor. It was generally clean but a bit grotty, e.g.- there was a thick film of dust/dirt on top of the fridge. It was clod being winter and the bedroom heaters don’t really warm the rooms.

• Kathy (8/5): - Well planned spacious unit, perfect for a couple or family. The location near the lake is relaxing and convenient. The windows need a clean, including cobwebs removed, the bathroom basin sprays water over the vanity. A few more teabags would be welcome.

• Anthony (1/5): Worst ever and spoilt our Xmas. - The mattress was comfortable. The location is fine. The apartment was filthy and unhygienic. Dusty, smelly, covered in cobwebs and spiders nests, with pink bacterial slime all over the shower. We were unable to relax and had to go and shower at friend’s place. If it had been clean it would have been ok, but still not luxury, and not worth the $300+ a night.

• Jenny (10/5): Great Apartment Close To Lake Wendowie - The apartment was excellent for 2 couples. The 2 bathrooms were great and the apartment was stocked well with everything we needed. We got the checkin code a little late, but apart from that it was a lovely stay so close to the lake. Nothing, but the parking is pretty tight.

• CHUNG WAI (7/5): Overall a comfortable stay. Great location and good value. - Great location, right beside Lake Wendouree, great for morning walks at the lakeside. Very near all the places of interest that we visited (Lake Wendouree, Botanic Gardens which was absolutely stunning, Sovereign Hill etc) We booked the two bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Spacious and well-furnished with blankets and throws on the sofas. Hot water and shower water pressure in bathrooms were great! Host responded very quickly when there was issue with our WiFi and it was sorted out immediately. Kitchen was great, well-equipped.. loved the non-stick cookware, dishwasher, oven and hob. Designated parking within the property compound. The only air-conditioning (for hot air) is from the living room .. the radiators in the bedrooms don’t work well. One of the beds do not have an electric blanket. We had to leave the bedroom door open to warm up the room.

Deceiving ad and not what we booked at all. - The location We booked the property as our search criteria for Ballarat was a fireplace and we used the filter on booking.com to find the appropriate accommodation. This property advertised ‘stunning lake views and a gas fireplace’ and the ad photos showed the fireplace. When we arrived there were no lake views at all and no fireplace. It’s extremely disappointing that this is allowed to occur as the sole reason we booked this place for our first family holiday was for the fireplace. I don’t know how they are able to advertise under that search criteria if they are not providing that amenity.

The fridge door does not close easily and the seal needs to be replaced and therefore even when turned up to the max your food is barely kept cold - luckily we stayed in winter!

This apartment is much larger than other two-bedroom apartments I recently stayed in.with an extra sofa bed.And the price is very good.I will choose this place next time.

On floor (caught whilst mopping I guess) and it was on the plant on the vanity and the soap dispenser. We also left an item there and the host never replied to my two text messages about getting it back. Lounge room could do with a lamp as the overhead lights are super bright.

Very spacious apartment, high ceilings, good heating and electric blankets on the beds. The host was there when we arrived and was very helpful with parking, getting in to the apartment and providing extra blankets. Short walk to several cafes for breakfast/lunch. Not much room in the bathroom due to the washing machine next to the shower. No doors on the lounge room or kitchen so a bit drafty, probably wouldn't be a problem in summer. No lake view as stated in the details, more a glimpse between houses.

• Abhijit (3/5): Extremely disappointing - Beds were comfortable and the property was spacious General cleanliness was not up to the standard. The exterior looks run down. The inside had dust and cobwebs everywhere. Creaky metal stairs to enter. There just didn’t seem to be any attention paid to maintaining the place. Even the amenities lacked some basics. No paper towels anywhere in the property, no hangers in the wardrobes, some light bulbs weren’t functional.

• Linda (8/5): Had a great stay enjoying the surrounds during the day and being comfortable indoors in the evenings - Great location! Property felt safe & secure. Had great weather for walking around the lake. Nice cafe's and other eateries close by. Walking distance to Lake Wendouree and town centre. Located in a beautiful street. Some additional kitchen items would be useful, e.g. a large pot for cooking pasta (I made do with a large pan), only 3 bowls in crockery draw, no microwave plastic ware. Also, toilet paper was very poor quality and toiletries were light on.
• Howarth (8/5): Very good - Overall our stay was good. Very roomy. Well equipped kitchen. Full size fridge fridge. Bathroom good. Lovely fireplace. No airflow to the bedrooms. No air-conditioning or fan of any sort.

• Harshpreet (1/5): Bad - Nothing I recently stayed at Ballarat Luxury Apartments and was quite disappointed with my experience. The apartment was not properly cleaned, and there was a lot of dust, which made it uncomfortable. Additionally, there was no Wi-Fi, and I was unable to access Netflix or YouTube for entertainment. To make matters worse, the rooms had an unpleasant smell that made my stay less enjoyable. Overall, I did not like my stay at all and would not recommend this place until improvements are made.
