- Richard (9/5): We had a pleasant, relaxing stay at the Yarrow hotel. - Buffet breakfast had plenty of choice. Room was very spacious and bed was very big. All areas of the hotel looked clean and well maintained. Although great variety of food for breakfast some of the dishes were not that hot and by the time we sat down they were cold. Particularly the hash browns, baked beans and scrambled egg.

Food excellent 👌 great chef and food delicious. So pleased the hotel are giving youngsters a chance for their future. Only fault having fractured back the entrance into hotel not suitable with only part with rails missing. Again I felt unsafe with no handrail I the shower very tricky..

- Chaney (5/5): Disappointing - Lovely looking property, parking, pleasant staff, good communication prior to stay. Stayed in a classic double room. The website states it “offers affordable luxury with a generous double bed and ensuite, guaranteeing you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated after your time at The Yarrow.” Unfortunately, this didn’t reflect our experience. The bed was very small for two adults—more like a postage stamp. It felt like a small double mattress on a standard base (from the gap around the edge of the mattress to base) and our friends who stayed in a similar room said the same. There was only one pillow each, both of which were as flat as a pancake, making it quite uncomfortable. We stayed in room 120. The room itself was clean and, although compact, had all the essentials you would expect in a hotel (Iron, wardrobe, tea, coffee towels etc) However, the hotel was quite warm, so we turned on the air conditioning, which unfortunately made a constant rattling noise, as though something was stuck inside. This went on throughout the night, that and not being able to move in the night without clobbering each other, significantly impacted our sleep. Breakfast had a good selection (all you can eat/ drink) and there was a decent range of drinks available. The dining area was clean and a pleasant place to sit and relax with the sun shining through. However, the food was only lukewarm, which was really disappointing and we were too tired to complain. A couple of things to note, I was inundated with communication prior to our stay, which was good to be honest. This was to advise of a wedding and treatments available at the spa on site. We didn’t hear a thing from the wedding and as states in the messages pre booking is advised for treatments, as we were unable the to get anything booked. Overall, we did not feel refreshed during our stay and chose to check out early.

Breakfast was great, evening meal in the bar was very good, service was very quick and friendly. Stayed in a deluxe room which was very big with a huge queen-size bed. Shower in the room was in a freestanding bath, without any curtain etc., so water goes everywhere in the bathroom if you try to take a shower. Not really a complaint, but something to be mindful of, and not all rooms may be the same in this regard.

The fabric of the interior of the hotel is extremely well maintained. The room was warm and comfortable. The car parking is easy and spacious. Fresh milk was easily available following a call to reception. We felt that the breakfast although pleasant and varied was not quite of the same high standard that we recalled. The room had everything we needed and was very spacious. We were in a suite on the top floor and the bathroom door was quite loud and hard to open and close - a bit of a nuisance during the night.

- Eileen (8/5): Improve your Breakfast serving - Hotel was clean bed was v comfortable we had breakfast there on the first day we arrived at 9 o clock there was not much left there plates and food was cold on the second day we arrived at 7.05am (they serve between 7am and 9.30 on week days) there was no food no crockery etc eventually when it was laid out food was cold and plates were cold need to up there cookery skills
