The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for – truly some of the friendliest and most professional we've encountered. The resort’s restaurant offered delicious food with a great variety, and we enjoyed every meal there. Our room was spotless, very well-equipped, and felt cozy and private – perfect for a couple’s getaway. The pool was also exceptionally clean and a great place to relax. We highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a peaceful, romantic, and high-quality stay. We would love to return!

- Quest52819452846 (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer! - We stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 children and wish we could have stayed longer! The owners are amazing, so kind and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They organised a longboat and guide to take us to Emerald Cave for a fraction of the price elsewhere and it was brilliant! The food was excellent, the breakfast was served to you and you could order as much as you wanted. Lunch and Dinner were both great and at a really good price. We had 2 x swim up rooms which had everything we needed and free water in the mini bar. The pool is always open so the kids loved an evening dip! Every time we were in it we had the pool to ourselves. The island is so quiet and relaxed, it's really nice to see how the local people live when driving around. They offer a free tuk tuk around the island which is a really great help as didn't fancy walking in 30 degree heat and humidity! Thank you Mook Lamai, you were excellent!

- WEAK (10/5): Beautiful relaxing property with well kept pool and gardens - Stayed in swim access room for 4 nights. Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. Friendly family with good service. Breakfast included and although good, would have enjoyed more Thai options. Nice pizza from restaurant on site too. Added bonus of ‘free’ tuk tuk ride until 6pm to anywhere on island. Free pick up and delivery back to port. Lovely super clean pool area, pool towels included and pool access is 24hrs! Room decent size with lots of thought gone into position of plugs etc with nice view over pool.

But hotel provides a free Tuk Tuk shuttle to anywhere on the island. Really nice owner who sets the family friendly tone for the resort. They went above and beyond to make the stay memorable Nothing was a great stay.

- Andrew (10/5): Great stay in Koh Mook - We stayed here two nights. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and kettle. We were in a room that had the pool in front which was so lovely in the heat. The pool was very clean and great. We were pick up and dropped off at the pier which was very convenient. Lots of stores nearby. The tour we booked (private boat) to snorkel and go to the Emerald Cave was excellent. Emerald cave was so worth doing! The breakfast included was good and the dinners as well, great pizza from across the street! We enjoyed Koh Mook. The only thing was the stray dogs and the condition of some of them. As a dog lover this was hard to see. I truly hope that an organization or government can step in to help them. Highly recommend staying here. Everything was great

They organised airport pick up on short notice at night and managed a pick up of a lost item from Krabi airport, including handling the calls with the airport and airline staff. We appreciated their help so much and we could focus on the holidays.
- Wilma (9/5): Loved the property with a few tweeks would be perfect - The staff , pool and room . We had pool access room 111 the end one closest to the reception. Enjoyed the comp ride to town and Charlie beach - fun way to travel. This is available until 6pm and you pay 50bht pp to get tuk tuk return. Arranged our private transfer back to Krabi airport which was very smooth £86 for 2 . Exp in THB but well worth it Property is well looked after and grounds lovely Would have enjoyed more Thai options for breakfast apart from soup . We had rice in all other properties we stayed at Shop opp that sells water beer etc and ice by the kilo Enjoyed pizza at their restaurant Def return , we were there for 4nights and really liked Koh Mook compared to Koh Ngai Forgot to pick us up from the pier although I had contacted them several times Although I like the sun my husband doesn’t so a parasol on terrace would be beneficial As we were an end room we didn’t have other customers walking past Need to ‘fix’ ant probs but we didn’t mention to reception to be fair There were beer bottles left at the pool area for 18hrs but plenty of staff that could have cleared up

- 584kiaj (10/5): Vacay with friends and family - 5/5 stars to this hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Only minus for the straydogs howling in the middle of the night by the pool. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in here. Book a pool access room, it is the best. Free taxirides from the hotel anywhere on the island was a nice plus.

Food from the a la Carta menu for lunch and dinner is of high quality and really taste. Really nice and informative straff. The hotels offer a free Daily outgoing taxi to anywhere on the Island - very nice! The return is 50 baht/person from anywhere on Mook. There’s a great pizzaria across the street and a large supermarket around the corner. The hotel is a pleasant 10 min walk from the small city centre. We’ll be back:)

The staff is so incredibly friendly, Utid gave us lots of great recommendations on places to discover on the island, also reserving us a private boat tour around Ko Kadran and Emerald Caves. The free tuk tuk transfer is very comfortable as well. Lots of options for breakfast from eggs and bacon to amazing fresh fruit and yoghurt. Rooms are very spacious (I loved the big shower) and great air con to keep us cool during the night. Overall, a super lovely hotel! Nothing.

The food is Thai and one of the tastier on the trip. Breakfast is simple but served with love and great coffee. This is a must stop on your trip

- davewebb1963 (10/5): Bliss on Koh Mook - Fantastic resort with exceptional service. It isn't uncommon to find lovely people and great service in Thailand but the team in this hotel are on another level. Every aspect of the hotel is so well managed and, unlike many places in Thailand, the staff are always busy, making sure that this little piece of paradise is as good as it can possibly be. The rooms are clean, big and well equipped with big comfortable beds. The pool area is spotlessly clean and the pool itself immaculate. The grounds in general are very well looked after. The restaurant serves lovely food at very reasonable prices. It's not a cheap place to stay but it's well worth the extra cost, if you want a bit of luxury. A big thank you and well done to the lovely Tit and all of the staff.
- Rik (1/5): Bad - Nothing it’s overpriced and they don’t offer what they say. We got a family room, with basically one mattress. Were charged an extra 2000 bath for an extra mattress. They said the room was 62m2 but it was at most 16m2. The beach was at the other side of the island literally

- Bobbiwu (9/5): Superb - Wonderful host who picked up and dropped me off from the pier. The property has a decent sized swimming pool, and the food was fantastic. A plus is that they also provide free bicycle to cycle around the village. There is also a minimart nearby the property.

- MsHaslund (10/5): Fantastic service at this gem of a hotel - I stayed 4 nights with friends, and we had a fantastic time. The service level at this hotel is amazing! The host was so accommodating and helpful in guiding us on trips and outings and helping us to book transfer to the airport. In addition, the hotel offers free shuttles with tuktuks from the hotel wherever on the island, whenever you want to go. We stayed in one of the villas with private pool (quite small, but with jacuzzi!), and the room/villa was perfect. Clean, spacious, comfortable and with everything we needed. Also with complimentary water and sodas, which was refilled every day. The common pool area was also nice, with comfortable sun loungers, and the entire area of the hotel was extremely well kept and nice. Breakfast was cooked to order, and the restaurant to the hotel had great food as well. So all in all can only give my warmest recommendations.

Free taxi service; Everything was clean. the owner did everything to help us with information and with booking a boot etc. With the information and his mindful assistance we were able to do some awesome trekking, snorkeling and visit the emerald caves on a quiet moment. no complains

They were extremely helpful and offered great advice, gave free shuttles and the free breakfast a la carte was good, as well. Lunch and dinner were yummy too. The rooms were clean and well maintained, as are the premises.
- BadSheep (10/5): Top end Ko Mook - Very nice vibe - pleasant and informal but also very smart. It's definitely at the top end for Ko Mook. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, and the pool is nice to sit around and there are a couple of long walks you can take around the island. The breakfast was nice. And the staff are very keen to please. But the restaurant was a bit tame and western for our tastes.

The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very nice and cute. The Resort is very quiet, with very nice people working there. There is a pool that you can use everytime you want. They also have bicycles that you can take to visit the island without any costs. We really loved everything!

- thesmilingtraveller (10/5): Absolutely perfect hotel in every way. - Absolutely loved this hotel. First impressions were how kind and welcoming the staff are and how clean the whole place is. We were welcomed by Tit and his team who gave us cool drinks and showed us our room. Gorgeous room (swim up room) with sun loungers and then direct access to the pool which was spotless. The pool is cleaned early mornings by a member of the team. The room was very tidy with lots of storage and a fridge, a counter with a kettle and two bottles of water provided. The towels smell lovely. We were told if we needed anything at all to just ask and then left to settle in and relax. It’s very quiet and peaceful, especially at night. The breakfasts were absolutely exceptional. Best I’ve ever had in Thailand. We were given a menu and told to ask for anything we wanted off the lists and it was made fresh to order. The bacon, omelettes and pancakes were perfectly cooked and delicious. I miss the omelettes already! Very generous portions and after we finished we were asked “more coffee? More juice? More food?” Honestly, those staff are wonderful. Kae is funny and happy and helpful, she is an asset to the team. They are all wonderful. The island itself is beautiful. The food is gorgeous and fresh (everywhere we went it was delicious) the people are so kind and friendly. I would say that the mook lamai is without a doubt my favourite hotel in all of Thailand. You MUST try this place. Thank you all for your hard work. We loved being your guests and will definitely be returning in the future. Also, I’d like to add that the gardeners work so so hard to keep the grounds pristine. Such a fantastic team of people who all work as a team to ensure this hotel is excellent in every way.
- Victoria (10/5): Perfect hotel in every way. - From the second we arrived here we were made to feel welcome. Tit and his staff are so friendly and cheerful. We were allowed to check in early, the room was very clean and the fact that it was a swim up room just made it even better. Good air con, delicious welcome drink and plenty of very tidy greenery surrounding the hotel. The breakfasts are delicious (choices are endless!) they allow you to order anything off the menu and cook it fresh until you’ve had enough. Good coffee, excellent omelette and a great location. Tit has good knowledge on the island and how to get around. He grew up here so he knows exactly where to visit and when for the best experience. It’s also incredibly peaceful. Very clean pool and grounds and a lovely atmosphere. I’ve stayed in many hotels in Thailand and this has been my absolute favourite. The beach is also lovely. I reckon this past 5 days on Koh mook have been the best 5 days I’ve ever spent in this wonderful country. Also Kae who works at the restaurant is the sweetest and funniest Thai person I’ve ever met! Always laughing, helpful and friendly. I’ll never forget her. Nothing. I absolutely loved it.

- Marie773 (10/5): Great hotel. - We stayed at Mook Lamia resort for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there, the room was clean with great air conditioning, we had accommodation with a private plunge pool which was nice to use in the hot afternoons. The location of the hotel is good, a 10 minute walk into town and 5 minutes by tuk tuk to the beach. We ate at the hotel restaurant on a couple of occasions and this was also excellent, they have local Thai food but also offer excellent pizza (they own the Italian restaurant across the road). The hotel manager Tid was really helpful arranging our boat tickets and even taking us to the beach on the complimentary hotel tuk tuk… he has a great team of staff behind him all of them being very polite and helpful.We will definitely stay here again and next time for longer!

Utid the manager will go out of his way to help you in any way he can. Great location on the island with walking distance to restaurants and short taxi ride to Charlie beach. - Excursion548831 (4/5): Rat in room - and the best staff we have seen - We had booked 6 nights- unfortunately we had a rat in our villa with roughtop pool that emerged when we were about to sleep. This incident reflects put bad review ss this is not acceptable to us. However i must say that the staff handles the situation good. We were moved to pawapi hotel next day and the staff at Lamai really apologized and took action. We Got a minor refund for the lost night - in our eyes it should have been more as we lost one day of travel. However Lamai argued that the new resort was more expensive. I was really impressed of the staff that was alltime happy and a bit sad of the bad rat experience.

- FANNY (2/5): A fuir. BEDBUGS - 3 nuits dans cet hôtel. La première, nous avons eu une chambre avec une très forte odeur de produit chimique. J’ai compris par la suite qu’il s’agissait d’insecticide, que le personnel diffuse à volonté dans le but d’exterminer les punaises de lit. Ça a juste exterminé mes poumons et ma gorge. Nous avons eu une autre chambre, et cette fois ci j’ai été dévorée par les punaises de lit. La gérante est d’une mauvaise foi incroyable, accusant des mouches de sables. Les mouches de sable ne piquent pas la nuit, sous les draps. La chambre a été vaporisée à grand renfort de Raid insecticide, très toxique pour l’humain mais pas pour les bedbugs. Le staff, très gentil, m’a donné une pommade et m’a affirmé que j’aurais un dédommagement. C’est sans compter sur la gérante qui voit les dollars avant les gens, et nie catégoriquement les faits, alors que le personnel est parfaitement au courant. Forcément c’est plus facile de faire passer les clients pour des hystériques. Cet hôtel ne mérite pas ses étoiles. C’est une auberge de jeunesse déguisée, ni plus ni moins : trous dans les draps, oreillers crasseux, taches sur les serviettes et tissus tu mobilier. En somme le pire hôtel que j’ai pu avoir en dix ans d’allers retours en Thaïlande. Je suis toujours très choquée par le comportement de la gérante, les punaises de lit sont un problème de santé publique, et ça peut causer de sérieux dégâts pour des personnes allergiques comme moi. Jouer avec la santé des gens est un jeu dangereux.

We left our wallet in Koh lipe, they arranged for it to arrive later that day on a speed boat - they collected it for us while we were on Charlie’s beach! They take you anywhere you want to go - the service is truly out of this world. Breakfast was ordered from the menu and we even had a fresh mango from the tree! Dinner was also delicious. If you are still deciding where to go then book this hotel you will not be disappointed.

Outside shower was wonderful, we had no problem with mosquitoes but people we met who were in another beach front resort were eaten alive.!! The pool is fresh, always clean & a good size. Breakfast was ample as were evening meals with plenty of choice. Tid & his team are wonderful & couldn’t make you feel more welcome. There is a free shuttle to take you to a beach or anywhere you want to go on the island. We got shuttle to Charlie beach, also to Pawap beach but then you can walk back easily or arrange to be collected. Tid also arranges trips & transfers We hope to return one day soon & would highly recommend Nothing

Much thought has gone into making this resort function so well as the perfect base on Koh Mook. Don’t be put off by it not being right on the beach as the owner Tid will whisk you there and back to any beach or any sight on the island in a nano second and free of charge! As it is a small island this is excellent and so lovely to return to this little oasis with it’s wonderful, helpful staff to whom nothing is too much trouble. There is a good restaurant on site but many others a few minutes away too - reakfast here is of great quality. The rooms are excellent- clean and comfortable! Don’t think twice just book here! 👍❤️ We liked everything here. Nothing we could think of to improve!
- papymaster24 (6/5): FOR US LOCATION NOT SUITABLE FOR ISLAND STAY!! - If this resort was on the beach or 100 meters from it it would get one more star as the management is very friendly and helpful and the accommodation very comfortable. But the location, in the jungle, far from both beaches doesn't do it. We rented a moped to cruise around but, still, not suitable for island stay. Great pool, huge and very well kept. We stayed in a superb villa with pool. But, again, no island feeling.

- lillad2022 (10/5): Wonderful stay in a magical resort! - Wonderful stay in a magical family resort. We stayed a week with the whole family (2 children) and enjoyed great accommodation and food and most importantly a diligent and helpful staff and family members who were looking to fulfill our every wish. The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with all necessary comforts (including AC in every room). Pool was of generous size and super clean. Staff was around at every hour to provide advice for tours, snorkeling and trekking as well as for food (including pizza!) and drinks. Charlie beach (the closest to the resort) is a long stretch of white sand with crystalline water. Great stay in a super modern and friendly resort on a jewel of an island. Would recommend for both couples as well as families with children.

Free shuttles around the island between 07h00 and 19h00 is a great perk. Enjoyed the sunsets at Charlie beach. Helpful with onward boat transfers and laundry was taken care of too. Nice fruit plates on late turndown an unexpected surprise. Thanks to Utid and the team.
