- Nevar (10/5): Great stay near train and great Japanese/Korean - Very friendly service, bike share for free, great location less than 10 min walk to train station. Great Ramen restaurant and Korean food nearby. Loved it! Bed was less than 5 stars but room was very clean and comfortable, a little bare bones in terms of extras like a bathrobe, shampoo, an iron was in the hallway for community use. But a great value and great stay overall. Would definitely stay again!
- Cristian (4/5): Cleaning should be a priority - Room was not cleaned I had to call reception- dust everywhere. In the night when I went to bed I felt itchy in bed not sure if bed bugs - they changed the bed the next day. Noisy aircon system also.

Only downside was that my Expedia booking included breakfast but the manager at breakfast said that was a mistake on Expedia and I had to pay. So I had to argue the case and he gave me breakfast without charging, but wasn't very happy with me for it!

The location is not just great for the train station, for the city centre, but also for the great Japanese and Asian restaurants and cafes around. The hotel is extremely well kept, the cafe of the ground floor is excellent, and if you need a haircut you’re in luck! The rooms are excellent. Very stylish with the Japanese wall art, they’re very comfortable and ultra clean. The breakfast is good, with super views.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible hotel cosplaying as a Japanese hotel - This hotel presents itself as a "Japanese" hotel, but lacks any of the aspects that makes a decent Japanese hotel, the most glaring of which is cleanliness. Your room will be absolutely filthy with practically zero care for dusting anywhere above your bed. Go ahead, take a look at the ceiling and the corners above the bed, nothing but huge dust clumps everywhere, which would never happen in a Japanese hotel. Also, there is practically zero ventilation in the room. They have AC, but only a tiny sliver above the door that is covered in dust, Hopefully the weather is decent outside because the shower is not enclosed for some odd design reason. Therefore if you shower the room will fill up with steam and quickly get humid so you'll have no option but to open the windows. Walls are paper thin so you'll likely be hearing everything your neighbor is doing. Breakfast was average but the room was very nice with a great view of the city. Wi-Fi was exceptional, that I will give credit to the hotel, averaging 175-200 Mbps.

- Beatamaria (4/5): Would choose somewhere else next time - The hotel service was average, during breakfast we had to wait over 30 minutes for the bacon and sausages to be refilled (we went it only ~30 mins after breakfast had started and there was none left). The tables were not high enough for eating and the seating was slouchy couches. Room was clean but layout wasn’t the best. Only 3 lifts were operating and it was nearly impossible to get to the floor you wanted. Overall the breakfast room was too small for the amount of people staying in the hotel and the lack of lifts made the stay uncomfortable.

Miso soup, eel and rice dish and an Asahi to finish it off. When back in Düsseldorf, I will absolutely stay at me and all hotel again!

- Anthony (4/5): Not bad, not great. - The hotel is nice and quirky, but watch out for the ‘gotcha’s’ - it was an extra €30 each per night for the ‘city tax’, OK not the hotel’s fault but none the less a big surprise bill which wasn’t advised in advance. Also another €30 in car parking, adding a total of €90 to the stay just didn’t make it worth while. The air conditioning didn’t work so it was a very uncomfortable night. Opening the window was just too noisy. also, no big deal but the TV didn’t work (lots of talk about Netflix in every room etc but the tech didn’t work). To be fair, had we been staying longer then maybe this could have been sorted.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location but poor breakfast - Good location, close to old town and main station. Gym is great. Room is okay but quite cold. There are only hand wash and shower gel in bathroom so you may need to bring body cream and hair conditioner. Most of 4-star hotels they provide shampoo-conditioner and body cream all together. Breakfast is overpriced and poor quality, probably the worst breakfast I have ever had in Germany. Bread wasn’t that fresh, egg is overcooked. Staffs are nice, very helpful and friendly. But overall, can be better. I’m sorry to say, this hotel is bit overrated. 7/10.
- Ashleen (10/5): Unique Hotel in Düsseldorf! - Lobby was nice and very interesting.. very good coffee shop and plenty of chair & desk space to get your work done or to just hang out. There was also a full on barber chair and station there, not sure if you can actually get your haircut or if it was just decoration but it fooled me! Very cool vibe. Sky lounge and bar is very nice as well with a great view of the area, 11 stories up. Check in was probably the fastest I've had at any hotel EVER. Super convenient and very friendly staff as well! As for the room, we got the basic room so nothing crazy. Kind of small compared to other hotels (sort of difficult to find a place on the ground to unfold our large suitcase), but was easily workable and not the end of the world. Toilet has it's own door, and sink/shower are sort of in its own area on the other side of the wall that the TV resides, if that makes sense. Shower was zero-step and very spacious with both a rain and handheld nozzle. Bathrobes and slippers are included in the room (not to keep of course) which was quite nice. We very much enjoyed the 2 free waters (1 sparkling, 1 still) per day as well as 3 nespresso pods per day that we could use with the in-room espresso machine; we definitely took advantage of that. The location is pretty good, not too far away from the action of aldstadt and the main shopping areas, and it is in the Japan quarter of Düsseldorf, so plenty of awesome dining and shopping options within walking distance. Will definitely stay again!

- Verified traveler (8/5): WeI'll be back :-) - The beds are too soft - got a slight ache out of it. Regarding breakfast: there's all you need and they offer known brands. It's a little noisy at night because of drunk people and cars. We had a nice stay though. We'll surely stay again.

But I thought price was quite expensive considering all circumstances (weekday, during COVID19 amid, not busy period). Also, big disappointment as the top floor bar/restaurant was closed, which is still understandable (COVID19)

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pluses: Great location, very clean and well maintained, friendly staff. VERY geared to young 30 professional wanna-bes. Minuses: Cutting edge/'just too cool" to the point of minimal amenities--no fridge in room or coffee/water maker, no hotel phone system, no clock, TV without any english channels. Also no peep hole, and no extra security lock to keep housekeeping from barging in. Security in general seemed iffy. The whole "titillating" painted glass over a large window in the shower and no shower door--what's that about? Over-priced considering lack of amenities.

The rooms are immaculate and modern with some great touches, comfortable beds and nice showers. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the coffee house in reception does great brews to wake you up. I loved my stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

- AHaikelMalek (8/5): - I like that it's centrally located within the heart of Dusseldorf. Even my German buddy said I made the right hotel choice. However, I was surprised to find that there is no door to the bathroom. It's an open concept, ideal for solo or couple travellers. Not suitable for me and my best buddy who find it strange (for privacy concerns). Besides, we were on the 2nd floor, and those who walk on the streets could spot anyone showering in the bathroom.

The staff are friendly and helpful and I honestly had a few of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages - really comfortable beds! Hotel coffee shop on the ground floor serves a great coffee as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love the unique boutique style of the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious. Good layout to avoid the usual narrow corridor at a hotel room entrance. Placement of the power sockets show that some thought had been given to users. Shower was strong and heats up fast. Only gripe is the air-conditioning that takes time to cool down the place and seemed like it wasn't on most of the time though it was cooling. Breakfast at the top floor is a great idea as well, though the dishes should have some variations from day to day to avoid the monotony for guests staying multiple days there. Staff at the reception and the lounge were all friendly and chill. Housekeeping were more reserved though. Tip: For those rooms closer to the service lift, avoid using the lift around 8:30-9:00am as you may encounter the housekeeping staff squeezed into the elevator. Had a great stay.

Room divider to block light out is effective but makes the room rather claustrophobic, and noisy to pull back during the night, impossible to use the bathroom during the night without waking your partner.

Rooms were very clean, modern decor with Japanese accents, and fast Wi-Fi. Location very convenient for Duesseldorf's Japanese quarter, and city center, open air market, major shopping district, and traditional Alt-bier breweries all within walking distance (1 mile or less) of the hotel. Half a mile to the main railway station in opposite direction.

The hotel should have notified this to customers in advance as we were planned to meet with our customer but had to change the venue quickly. The few lights in the room were not working whether they are saving energy or just not good maintenance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Trendy hotel - Trendy hotel with a great reception area which stands out from it's competitors. Rooms were again slightly different to the norm which was nice to see. Importantly the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. Breakfast was also good. One thing that let it down was the bar area which looks out over the city was closed for a private event. I appreciate this is a good source of revenue for the hotel but it is disappointing as a guest when you cannot use it's facilities!

Hailing taxis to the Messe was a lot easier than previous Dusseldorf hotels used for Medica. Walked to the Altstadt a few nights - a long walk but pleasant enough. We would be happy to stay here again.

The location is close to a couple of metro ststions and only about a 15min taxi ride from the airport. There are tons of delicious restaurants just nearby and it’s a short walk to many of the local attractions. In general a great place to stay, I highly recommend it.
