Guest Reviews
- Kevin (10/5): Spot on will stay again - Hope park lake shop's and staff food was very nice đ Nothing
- joanne (10/5): Lovely staff. - Great location! Clean and great breakfast. First room we were allocated looked out into scaffolding but when asked we were moved for an additional ÂŁ20.
- Colin (9/5): We enjoyed our visit - Location No lift
- Beth (8/5): Comfortable stay in friendly hotel. - Great location for the KMF. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful views. Was quite expensive. Decor is very dated.
- Adam (10/5): -
- Lang (5/5): Caution against this one. - Nothing really. This place was a let down Staff were not accommodating when we said we needed to leave early (couldnât get breakfast). The rooms are very basic. Most upsetting though was that staff left at 10 pm and there was no one in the building minding things. We were on the second floor and right below us a large group was visiting in the breakfast room. It was so noisy and without staff to ask them to quiet down, it was left to us to approach these strangers. In the end they were great about it and went to their rooms. But what if they werenât?
- Joanne (8/5): -
- Denise (10/5): - Friendly Friendly
- Brown (6/5): As above. Good location and pleasant staff let down by smell in bedroom and poor breakfast choice. Expensive for what is - Location. Staff very pleasant Foisty smell in bedroom. Unable to open window. No vegetarian choice for breakfast
- Julie (10/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): Beautiful views, lovely pleasant staff and very organised. - Location, history, authentic and relaxing decor, great views. There were a few cobwebs on the ceiling but nothing we didnât like about the property, it was a lovely stay.
- Stuart (9/5): Great location and our view was lovely. Really close to the town centre which is ideal. - Brilliant location 3 x minute walk to center of town. Excellent location with parking.
- Nils (9/5): -
- Janice (10/5): Nice relaxing stay - Location
- Wenting (6/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Ria (8/5): Will be staying again - Lovely building. Very friendly helpful staff. Perfect location. Breakfast included in the morning. Staff welcomed warming our soup for our hike. Very small car park. Extremely difficult to get in and out of spaces.
- Wayne (10/5): -
- Bevan (10/5): Great option for staying in Keswick. Lovely place to stay. - Breakfast was excellent. Great location. Staff were all very friendly. Room was very good. Great to have onsite parking. Enjoyed out stay. Room was a bit too warm. Couldn't work out how to turn the radiator off.
- Fancellu (8/5): Lovely stay - The property was really close to the city centre and to the lake, very good for walks and shopping around town Breakfast was lovely but it couldâve been until 10:30 instead of 08-09:30 am
- Joshua (10/5): - Staff were so friendly, breakfast was delicious! The room was a bit hot, but other than that it was perfect!
- Angela (8/5): Perfect Peaceful Keswick Stay. - Clean fresh recently decorated room. (16) Good quality furnishings. Beautiful view of lake. Sunny morning bathroom. Sunny room afternoon and evening. Safe out of the way car park well placed for access to main routes and I was allowed to stay in it beyond departure time. Very promptly served breakfast. Courteous effivient staff. Not much. Bedding a little tired and breakfast sausage and bacon a little disappointing for Cumbria. Car park could be better signed, but would stay again nevertheless.
- Susan (9/5): Lovely hotel - We stayed for just one night in a 3rd floor room which had just been refurbished. It exceptionally clean and comfortable and had fantastic views over Derwent Water and Catbells.
The breakfast was great, with good choices and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a very short walk from both the centre of Keswick and the lake.
- Martin (8/5): Stop in Keswick on the Cumbria Way - Nice and easy check in process. My room was on the third floor with a great view towards Skiddaw and Blencathra and was clean and tidy with Te/Coffee making facilities. The bed was comfy.
Breakfast in the morning was great. Tucking into a Cumbrian Grill with a view towards Cat Bells was fantastic. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Susan (5/5): Slightly disappointing due to disturbed sleep. A room lower down might have been better. - The room was comfortable and recently refurbished. The bathroom was clean and new. Breakfast was good.
The location was great, easy access to the town and lake. Despite the hotel not being anywhere near full we were put in the attic rooms, opposite another couple. The doors were really close together. We had requested an upper room but this was extreme when plenty were available. The doors to the rooms couldn't be closed quietly which meant we were woken at 11pm. The sound of the extractor fan in the next room could be heard in our room and the couple in that room left it on until we knocked on the door at midnight. Rooms on the lower floors were further apart. The next morning on entering the dining room the radio was on very loudly. We asked if it could be turned down and were told that if we came back at the end of service they would turn it down. Parking was very useful but the car park was not clearly described on the site nor were directions given to its whereabouts. It is an asset in Keswick but the information on Booking.com doesn't make it clear it is the hotel's own, large carpark.
- Diane (7/5): Very nice - Breakfast ok but limited as one guest gluten free 52 stairs up to the room, we were not asked if this would be ok
- Linda (10/5): Perfect location for a short stay in Keswick! - What a beautiful hotel! Comfortable, clean, comfortable bed, staff were wonderful and the views from our window were amazing! There was nothing I didnât like
- Redford (9/5): - Itâs location Expensive
- Paul (10/5): Overnight stay in perfect location with lovely rooms - Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff
- Francesca (10/5): - The location was perfect, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was great. We stayed in room 7. The only suggestion I have is installing a blind in the bathroom as the glass is not frosted, nor is the shower cubicle. There were no windows overlooking us, but it felt uncomfortable to use the bathroom with just a clear glass window to outside.
- Jane (10/5): -
- Lesley (10/5): Amazing - Outstanding Nothing
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Everything. Nothing
- Anne Marie (9/5): -
- Lucy (9/5): - Breakfast starts at 8 which is great to maximise days on the hills. Staff were very friendly. Room was comfortable and there is ample parking. Got a lovely view of Derwent Water too. .
- Jack (10/5): Clean rooms new bathroom, staff friendly and knowledgable about local area, good choice for breakfast, would definitely - Convenient location for the theatre, lovely setting easy walking into town, clean and well managed. Not a problem for me but there is no elevator.
- Claudia (7/5): -
- Charlotte (8/5): -
- Rudite (10/5): - Great location, great staff.
- Joan (8/5): - Location As on top floor -proved a challenge - would have appreciated staff help with small suitcase going up. Breakfast fresh fruit was disappointing.
- Graeme (9/5): -
- Rosemary (10/5): Great stay will visit again - Lovely room at the front of the property ,great breakfast , comfortable bed. Having to pay for parking .
- John (8/5): Friendly and nice traditional family hotel , strategically located between the lake and the town. - Lovely location, minutes from the town centre and from Derwent Water, with magnificent mountain views (from my room anyway). The room was nice and cosy, with everything I needed. A nice period building, it had a taste of the traditional family hotel. This was exemplified by the lovely breakfast, where one did not have to lift a finger and everything was brought to you with a smile and some pleasant conversation. On-street parking and (paid for) car park to the rear. I liked the hotel very much and would stay again. There was no lift and I was on the third floor with a heavy bag but in all fairness the young man on the desk offered help and you could not easily install a lift. Maybe the room might have benefited from a single rather than a double bed?
- William (8/5): -
- Helen (9/5): Delightful historical hotel in central location, scenic views, convenient for park, lake and shops. - Excellent breakfast-varied menu & local produce Wall mounted liquid dispenser for washing hands & hook on door for hanging coats. Would be nice to choose or express a preference for table at breakfast as would have preferred window seat as was available on arrival and whole time having breakfast and was allowed on first day but not second day and quite stern about where luggage went when we were vacating and loading up car.
- Fiona (10/5): -
- Burns (10/5): -
- Nicola (10/5): Excellent we have stayed twice and will definately return. - Excellent choices for breakfast friendly staff
A spacious bedroom.
- Liz (9/5): -
- Ian (8/5): Great stay with great breakfast in great location but very expensive now for the standard. - Room comforable and breakfast fantastic Noise from room above was constant (banging and shouting). I informed staff howdever; nothing changed.
- Jing (10/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Friendly, well located but no lift and take your ear plilugs - Really friendly and helpful staff. Great location and stunning views. It has a car park. Great shower. Enjoyable breakfast Although it has a car park, arriving in the afternoon, just one tight space was left that was difficult to get into. There are too many stairs and no lift. The walls to our room were paper thin so we could hear people taking in the next room till 1.00 am.
- carol (9/5): - Hotel staff location Bed was hard
- Anita (9/5): - The staff we met at Crow Park were all very friendly and welcoming, the young staff at breakfast time were lovely. The breakfast was good, and cooked perfectly, with different options.
Our room was very clean and spacious. Great to have on site parking, but bear the ÂŁ6 cost in mind when booking.
The best thing of all was the beautiful setting and scenic view from our room was breathtaking. It is this that makes the price higher compared to other places, I think. Location to the centre of Keswick and to the lake is perfect. Just being picky here, as the hotel is lovely and don't let these things put you off. The room had very dated wallpaper and smelt a bit musty. However, we opened the window and it was fresher straight away. Just a few little things things would help up-level the room, like a USB port near the bed, lamps you can reach and switch on more easily, a hook behind the bathroom door and a few biscuits near the kettle.
Thank you Crow Park we enjoyed our stay, in such a beautiful setting and would've stayed another night but felt it was quite expensive for us, for one night. It was maybe more expensive because it was Easter.
- eric (9/5): - Food was good
- GLYNIS (10/5): Ideal location for a very enjoyable stay. - Friendly staff, excellent location. Plenty parking. Good breakfast. Close to shops, town centre & bus terminus No negatives
- Kevin (7/5): Really nice traditional hotel - Superb location overlooking Derwemtwater 6 flights of stairs to our room ( no lifts)
- Spedding (10/5): -
- Sue (9/5): Lovely three days in the Lakes. - The location, breakfast, comfortable bed.
- Dumon (8/5): -
- Mary (10/5): Excellent stay, would definitely recommend. Already trying to find availability to rebook! - Really warm and cosy. Super friendly staff and the service was fantastic! Room was great, beds were comfy, nice quilts, nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was exceptional and location was fab, just a walk over the road to the centre. We struggled to get out of the car park. It is really tight and you need to think about what cars are parked next to you as we struggled to get a turn and had to ask another guest parked opposite to move. The hotel staff sorted it straight away for us, it's just something to think about if you need to get away the next morning. It would not stop me booking again.
- MattB (10/5): -
- Scott (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Hotel was in the perfection as it was very close to town centre. Really clean hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable bed and a nice breakfast. Was maybe a bit slightly dated in the way its decorated. Old fashioned looking carpets and interior.
- James (7/5): good would stay again but a bit pricey. - breakfast, bed bit of a smell as entered the room but think was central heating.
- John (8/5): - Location.
Breakfast was excellent as was the service by the breakfast staff. Car parking charge.
My partner is dairy intolerant. I requested a small jug of soya milk to take to the room as only cow milk is supplied as is normal in all the hotels Iâve stayed in. The owner wouldnât open the carton that heâd already told me he had, as it was to be used at breakfast.
- Petros (9/5): -
- Parkes (10/5): First class hotel - Very friendly and helpful staff.
First class hotel in a very good position.
Breakfast was fresh and very tasty! Car park was not easy to find. Needs signage at entrance. Car spacing was tight.
- Susan (9/5): Very comfortable. Would happily stay there again. - Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Short walk to centre of Keswick and Derwent Water. Stunning views.
- Annie (10/5): Excellent, for a number of reasons. I will stay again. - Excellent, for a number of reasons, including:
Being able to check at 1 pm.
Only 5 mins walk to the Theatre, yet close to the town centre.
Being able to store luggage on the day of check-out.
The breakfast.
Very helpful staff. Cannot complain about anything.
- Graham (10/5): - Early check in

- margaret (10/5): - Comfortable room. Lovely beakfast All good
- Warren (10/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Relaxing and cosy - Absolutely lovely and view was super
- Leia (10/5): A very lovely cosy stay - The view from the bedroom across the lake to the mountains was stunning. The staff were very friendly and chatty. Made us feel very at home. Lovely offerings for breakfast time. Very comfy beds and clean rooms. The only complaint if any, would be the size of the hotel carpark at the rear of the building. Extremely tight parking and not very suitable for larger vehicles. We got a space on the road eventually which was good.
- wardleworth (10/5): - Great location, very clean and good quality breakfast. The extra ÂŁ6 for parking
- Christopher (10/5): -
- Nikita (10/5): - Staff fantastic what a great family run business we will be back soon

- Sarah (8/5): - The location
- Sharon (10/5): Second stay here and will return again - Friendly atmosphere and beautiful breakfast
- Andrew (5/5): Unfortunately would not return at that price sorry - Breakfast very good. Location excellent We paid ÂŁ170 which in my opinion is too much. The room was far too hot. I turned the towel heater off and window open but didn't make much difference.
- David (10/5): We were all happy with our stay at Crow Park Hotel. - Location ideal for where we needed to go. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious. Staff very attentive and friendly. A very minor thing - a hook in the bathroom would be useful. But that is all.
