• Jamie (10/5): One of the best hostels in Japan - What an amazing vibe this hostel has! All the workers are you chatty and sweet. I had the most warm welcome from the owner. The facilities were so nice, especially the rooftop to dry your cloths and the huge lockers for your backpack. Nothing!

• emma (9/5): - The hostel staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was super chill/relaxed. The most social hostel I’ve been in Japan (but still very quiet compared to other countries :)) the position is perfect for eating lunch and dinner and exploring Osaka, very lively neighborhood. Clean. Nothing. A couple of neighbors were a bit loud at night, but that’s part of the hostel life.
• Youssef Elsady (4/5): Really wanted to like it, but left disappointed, checked out a day early - Service varies highly, some staff were super nice, especially the head manager/owner who knew my name. Some other days staff barely acknowledges you, I ordered a Ban Mi on my second day (which was very delicious), but whoever served me it was kind of rude, just handed me my plate in total silence. I did like however the storage options, you're provided with a small padlock locker in your bed, a code-locker in the room, and an open luggage storage space. I'm accustomed to hostels, but there's barely any insulation between each bed, light and sound easily leaks between the planks, and my first night I had somebody above me practically snoring into my ears, ended sleeping most of the night on the lobby couch. The beds are wildly uncomfortable, the fultons are brown and tired, the mattresses are very old and flat. Cleanliness could also be much better. There's a bit of an identity crisis since this is both a cafe and a hostel, if you're lounging on a couch in the lobby as a guest, and group of people walk in, you will be asked to change your seat. Shinsekai is a very hot tourist spot, so expect noise at night and in the morning.

• Ngato-Zharnaye (10/5): Friendly people, good music, secondhand goods and delicious Bahn Mi! We - This was my first time staying in a hostel and already it has set the bar high. Right off the bat the staff were friendly and I had lots of lovely chats with them throughout my stay. I stayed in the female dorm, everyone was friendly but stuck to themselves. The best was comfortable and had a curtain for privacy. I left my suitcase in the room but there is also luggage storage available too which I ended up using after check out so I could travel around still. The atmosphere in the common area/cafe is an absolute vibe with vinyls and creative trinkets hanging around. The music was always good and so were the Bahn mi + cocktails. They even had a rack of secondhand clothes outside that you could buy from. Travellers were respectful and friendly - I found myself having occasional chats with them too. There is a lot going on in the surrounding neighbourhood but I found it was never noisey from the hostel. During the night you could hear some creaking noise from the bunkers but it wasn’t an issue for me. Ear plugs are also given to you by staff with information about your stay. My highlight was the rooftop as they also had hammocks you could attach to the wooden beams to lay in. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe.

• Hermina (9/5): - Het hostel is heel centraal gelegen. Dichtbij verschillende metro en JR lijnen en dichtbij bezienswaardigheden. Het hostel ligt net in een straatje achter de drukke straat waardoor je niet veel last hebt van geluiden op straat. Het personeel is ontzettend aardig en spreekt heel goed Engels. De sfeer in het hostel is gemoedelijk, ruimte om tot laat beneden te zitten, maar je kunt je ook rustig terug trekken op de kamer. Prijs is voor centraal Osaka heel schappelijk.

• Michal (6/5): Great value for money, but bad sleep. - Amazing value for money in Osaka. Ceneter of Osaka There was one guy who was staying there working in Osaka. He woke up early every day and went to the bathroom which is internally connected to the sleeping room on the 2nd floor. He has a chronic coughing syndrome. For 1 hour of him preparing - showering etc. you would hear him loudly cough. I had bad sleep for the entire sleep. You can hear the cars driving, which also could wake you up or make it hard to fall asleep. The curtains for your 'capsule bed' are not wide enough to cover all light in the room - such a simple way to fix it.

• Anika Nørgaard (8/5): Fedt hostel og mega venligt personale!! - Personalet var SÅ søde, placeringen var fed og sengene var dejligt private ift. at det var et hostel! Der var også god plads inde på værelset, så man kunne åbne sin kuffert osv. Det var lidt nedern at bære sin kuffert op på 3.sal på den smalle trappe, men sådan er det jo. Synes det var lidt varmt om natten, men lå også i den øverste køje.

• Karin (9/5): All good - The location is absolutely perfect. Super easy to get around in the city thanks to the metro station nearby. Everything was clean, staff was very friendly and I slept very well. My bunk was quite squeaky, that's the one thing I didn't love.
