The room was very spacious and felt quite luxurious, although the design and atmosphere were somewhat reminiscent of the 1980s. The bed was enormous, almost too large. The location was convenient and worked well for exploring the area. Communication in English with the staff was somewhat limited, but everyone was polite and we managed without any major issues. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay with large rooms and a classic hotel atmosphere.

- Stephen (9/5): We enjoyed a spacious well-equipped room in a top quality hotel, at a very reasonable price. - Fabulous room, excellent quality food, peaceful ambiance, great facilities, close to the station It’s a bit of a walk to the town centre for shopping and restaurants. Breakfast seemed pricey, but then we learned Karuizawa is generally expensive! No crockery, cutlery or pans supplied for using in the kitchenette.

Nous sommes arrivés vers 7/8 hres un jeudi soir et l'employé à la réception nous à dit qu'il n'y avait pas de place dans le lounge pour prendre une bouchée et un verre.Le lounge était à moitié vide!!! Nous avons du ressortir pour aller à l'épicerie.Donc l'accueil n'était pas des plus aimables

The public bath was huge with cedar tubs as well as cold plunges. There was nothing wrong with this hotel except that it is not very close to the town or the train station.

- Arsene (9/5): A very comfortable hotel with a convenient location, will definitely come back. - I was a bit worried before arrival because there were few pictures of the room on booking.com app. But it was a very good surprise: the staff was very welcoming and fluent in English, the room was very spacious with ample storage space, lounge area with sofa, coffee table and TV,a desk area (on top of 4 single beds). The kitchenette was a separate kitchen area with counter top (and 3 bar stools), storage, kitchen sink and 1 burner electric stove (plus other equipment mentioned on booking.com). Reception also lent us plates and pan when asked. The room also had a very efficient air purifier/humidifier (a big Sharp plasmacluster) which was very welcome since rooms are often very dry in winter in cold areas. There is a free underground parking space, useful for snowy days, and an outside parking area. It is a 5 minutes drive from Karuizawa ski center. 10~15 minutes on foot from train station and city center. Large supermarket is less than 5mins on foot. McDonald is also 2 minutes away on foot. Just very minor points: there is flight of stairs before you can reach the elevator, to keep in mind with heavy luggage or limited mobility. The electric stove is of the resistive type so you will need to leverage the electric kettle to speed up boiling water in large pots.

- Wang (9/5): 房內有爐具但沒有鍋具，雖然離車站有一段距離，但住宿附近就有超市.麥當勞，還蠻方便的 - 連住2晚，垃圾與浴巾放門口會收走，也會放新的在門口。因人員不用進房打掃，我就不用稍微整理一下我的東西，感覺不錯！

- hisashi (8/5): - 駅のそばで場所は非常によく清潔感があるのに低価格。ウェルカムドリンクなども良かった。隣室の音が聞こえるなどもなく部屋も広い。 今回は低価格プランだったので仕方ないとは思うが、トイレバス一体型というのはちょっと残念。奥さんが今回温泉に入れなかったので（温泉に入れるときはさほど問題では無いが）

- Justin (9/5): Small intimate hotel that offers fantastic value and location. - The hotel has a friendly and cosy vibe. The room decor can feel quite dated (e.g. retro digital alarm clock built into the headboard) but is extremely spacious and comfortably accommodated a family of 4 (including 2 teenagers). Buffet breakfast (from 7am to 9am) was fantastic and the Japanese breakfast options (e.g. fresh sashimi) were some of the best we had during our trip. The hotel was also conveniently located next to a supermarket, bakery and McDonald's (3 minutes' walk), so it was very convenient to grab some take-away dinner (there are microwave and stoves in the room for simple heating/cooking). The restaurants/food outlets at the Prince Karuizawa mall (15 minutes' walk) closes at 7pm so there are not many food options in the vicinity after that time. There's also free access to the hotel public bath to warm up after a day exploring Karuizawa (the hotel is an easy 15 minutes' walk to the Kumoba Pond, from there it's another 15 minutes' walk to the Old Karuizawa Ginza Street). Hotel is around 900m from the Karuizawa Train Station, it's not an easy walk if you're travelling with luggages. However, taxis are easily available to and from the hotel (which doesn't offer any shuttle service).
