• Christine (10/5): If you want a warm Italian experience, you must stay there! - The manager, Francesca, and her husband were fantastic hosts! So accommodating, so nice, just a pleasure to talk to. They had such warm personalities. The rooms were very nice. The view was great. Cute balconies. The palace was decorated beautifully. Highly recommended! Very quaint! Nothing negative at all. Would absolutely stay there again!

La chambre est superbe, avec une décoration au plafond absolument magnifique et une propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner était également un vrai régal. Un immense merci aux propriétaires pour leur gentillesse sans égal ; ils sont vraiment aux petits soins. ​ Seul petit bémol : l’insonorisation vis-à-vis de la rue. On entend malheureusement beaucoup le passage des motos et scooters, ce qui peut gêner ceux qui ont le sommeil léger. Cela n'enlève rien au charme du lieu, mais c'est bon à savoir ! We hope to be back one day. - A beautifully restored 1800’s building with gorgeous original features and so tastefully furnished. The hosts, Francesco and Saveria were a delight and made us feel very welcome.

Fyi Elevator for baggage only , but it's fine , it's only one floor. Somehow the hot water don't work constantly, coming hot and cold every 5 minutes.
• Ivan (9/5): Great choice for exploring okolicu Sorenta - Uređenje i opremljenost soba. Dobra lokacija. Ljubazno osoblje uvijek spremno pomoći. Jedini nedostatak objekta je što recepcija ne radi čitav dana pa smo po dolasku u hotel morali čekati da nam se otvore vrata i da učinimo check in.
• Zoe (10/5): Beautiful, authentic Italian experience, truly exceptional hospitality - The staff at this hotel is amazing. Very warm and welcoming, and ready to advise about local towns, beaches, restaurants, parking, etc. When we first arrived we were running late at night driving from Rome and Francesco was able to let us in and help us get settled even though this is not a 24-hour hotel (staff is not always at the desk). Whenever we needed something, Saveria or Francesco were there either in person or by WhatsApp. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and decorated with antique prints. The beach is nearby down the road and accessible by elevator (great in this area where there are cliffs or many stairs otherwise). The breakfast was baked goods and fruit and yogurt, cereal, etc, everything fresh and delicious and we were never hungry. Francesco's cappuccino is the best. We loved staying here - my young children are already asking to go back - and will return! Even the things we didn't like were not so bad: The entrance is directly on the street, which makes it a little treacherous to exit as traffic goes by, but Saveria and Francesco insisted on holding the door for us and helping whenever we exited with our kids and they were there - they care about their guests. There was no parking by the hotel so we had to find street parking and ultimately decided to just leave the car where it was most days and just refill the meter. We were informed the elevator is for bags only, not people, but the stairs are wide and easy even with kids. But all of these things add up to a smaller-town Italian experience that is authentic and charming.

• Flávia (9/5): Em resumo foi muito boa, tirando o chuveiro - O quarto é muito confortável. Tem um terraço com uma vista maravilhosa. Tudo limpo e organizado. Chuveiro não cai água suficiente, o box muito apertado, pra gente foi um ponto negativo porque tudo que a gente quer é um banho gotoso depois de um dia inteiro andando. As vezes voltava cheiro do ralo.

• Cristian Bogdan (10/5): - The location is a 5 minute walk from a very nice sandy beach with amazing views of the cliffs and the sunset. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The rooms and hallways are decorated with antiques and memorabilia, giving you the feeling that you are visiting a museum. Our hosts were very friendly, accommodating, and up for a nice conversation every morning at breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The main road - noisy all night - I hate to put a bad world about this property but the main road is noisy to beyond !! Never had a good nights sleep and it affected my enjoyment of my holiday !

Las personas que no reservaron el parqueo con antelación debieron ir a parquear a unos 10 minutos a pie del lugar. No debería aparecer como un alojamiento con parqueo.

• Carmen (10/5): Saveria y Francesco lo mejor !!!! - Sin duda la atención de Saveria y Francesco es de 10, lo mejor. Atentos, ayudando en todo y super simpáticos. Respecto al establecimiento en sí, muy bonito y acogedor, muy bien ubicado en Meta y para conexiones con Nápoles, Pompeya, Sorrento y costa Amalfitana. Si repetimos viaje repetimos estancia. Todo perfecto, como consejo dotar el desayuno con algo de salado, como fiambres, quesos, huevos o algo así.

• Haval (10/5): A stylish and relaxing stay in a unique setting with some room for small improvements. - The room was beautifully decorated – especially the ceiling with the artistic fresco created a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful. The walls were a bit thin, so it could get noisy at night. A small fridge in the room would have been a nice addition.

Es destacable la atención y amabilidad de Saveria, muy gentil, nos ayudó y sugirió como trasladarnos de forma rápida a los puntos turísticos de nuestro interés. Estuvo atenta a cualquier necesidad. Sin dudas hizo la diferencia de nuestra estancia en Meta. Solo el wifi por momentos no funcionaba correctamente

• Giacomo (10/5): Highly recommend. Beautiful historical palace, great value, and even better hosts - One of the most pleasant stays I've had in a very long time. Saveria and her husband were great hosts, very accommodating, and gave us some very good recommendation. The stay is in a very well kept historical building, and yet the rooms are modern, spacious and very welcoming. Great location, and the palace includes some art pieces, beautiful floors and ceilings. I highly recommend, and for the price, nothing comes remotely close.

• Olteanu (8/5): - The location is okay, and the cleaning lady does her job more or less. We liked that they changed the bed sheets and towels regularly, the towels even daily. Breakfast was, from our group’s point of view, quite poor. Apart from coffee and a croissant (on request, not as much as you want), there were some small bags of crispbread, some jam, and a few yogurts (plus coffee or cappuccino), a little butter, nothing more. Not even a boiled egg, let alone an omelet or a fried egg, salami, cheese, or anything else. The location is okay, close to the fine black sand beach, and also near the train station (about a 15-minute walk – in fact, that’s how we arrived with our very large luggage, since the property provides nothing, and a taxi, which has to come from Sorrento, costs 40 euros). One aspect that left us with a bitter taste. Although they seem to try to satisfy customers, the administrators don’t really know how, I don’t think they have experience. Even though we told them the day before that we were leaving the next morning at 8, and they ordered us a taxi, they didn’t bother to come earlier to the property, around 7:30, to offer us a coffee (you can’t make it yourself because at the entrance to the cramped breakfast room there are chairs placed and you’re not allowed to enter without them being there, and in the room there are only tea bags). On top of that, imagine that we had to carry our huge luggage down the very steep stairs, because they didn’t unlock the elevator (which can only be used for luggage transport) so that we could use it. And another negative aspect: after stressing us since the morning to tell them the time we would arrive, and sending us another 6 or 7 messages until we got there (telling us not to arrive after 8 p.m., otherwise we would have to pay a €50 late fee), once we arrived we had to wait 20 minutes for them to show up at the property and open the door – which remains closed from around 3–4 p.m. until the morning, when the administrators are present (I must emphasize, they are somewhat nice, husband and wife, but quite inexperienced in tourism).
• Marina (7/5): - A pochi minuti a piedi dal mare di Meta, struttura in ottima posizione per visitare Sorrento e dintorni. Bella location con personale gentile, disponibile e cordiale. Camere spaziose e pulite.

• Claudia Boneque (6/5): InSassisfecho - Sin duda lo mejor del alojamiento son las impresionantes vistas y la ubicación. Nos alojamos en la planta superior, en una habitación a la que se accedía directamente por la terraza/solárium y la verdad es que eran inmejorables. Por la noche en la terraza se puede estar muy agradable. En cuanto a la ubicación también perfecta, se encontraba a menos de 15 minutos en coche del centro y a 5 minutos andando de la playa. Por el precio que piden, las calidades de la habitación eran más que mejorables. Paso a relatar: 1. El estado de la ducha, lamentable, con la alcachofa taponada por la cal y enganche del cabezal suelto, (tuvo que ajustarlo mi novio para poder ducharnos en posiciones minimamente dignas) el desagüe atascado y lleno de pelos lo que producía mal olor, y el tamaño del plato de ducha ridículo. 2. La terraza estaba muy descuidada (una pena teniendo en cuenta las vistas estupendas) con las plantas secas y el suelo lleno de hormigas (llegaba a tal punto que tuvimos que dar con la manguera en el suelo para poder estar a gusto), la puerta se quedaba encajada al abrir (también tuvo que arreglarla mi novio) y una bombilla medio fundida. 3. El aire acondicionado con el filtro sucísimo y la cama demasiado estrecha y corta para dos personas (mi novio mide 1.80 y se le salían los pies) 4. El desayuno incluido deja bastante que desear, hemos estado en varios sitios de Italia en este viaje y este sin duda va a la cola. 5. La distribución de la habitación es lo más parecido a una partida de humor amarillo que te puedas encontrar: escaleras por todas partes, accesos a puertas bloqueadas, una mini barabdilla de cristal a un pie de distancia del borde de la cama como medida de seguridad para no caerte por un abismo de escaleras, para empezar el día con un chute de energía. 6. Hay cocina pero ningún tipo de menaje para hacer uso de esa cocina. 7. Lo mejor vino el último día, cuando quisimos hacernos un ramen instantáneo usando la "tetera" de la habitación, un calificativo por completo inmerecido para el calentador de agua plagado de cal y el recubrimiento de la resistencia en mal estado que nos encontramos. Tuvimos que limpiarla a fondo varias veces y lanzarnos a la aventura. En definitiva, se salva por las vistas.

Each morning she prepared us breakfast, which was such a thoughtful touch, and she also gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. The whole experience felt very homely and personal – not just a place to stay, but somewhere you feel genuinely cared for. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

• Luca (10/5): Best cappuccino in Italy! - This was the best guest experience we’ve ever had. Saveria and Francesco were the greatest hosts, they managed to solve every minor problem we’ve had, gave us tips to seize the opportunities of the neighborhood. They are extremely helpful and friendly. They also let us let us exercise our terrible Italian when talking with them. We really enjoyed listening to their stories about the “lucky room” and the elevator. The room was spacious, light and cozy. Next to the palazzo there is a fantastic local cheese store, we discovered. Meta is also a fantastic spot to stay in Amalfi region as it is absolutely not crowded but clean. We can’t wait to come back someday! The traditional Italian breakfast was excellent, but some cheese and tomato would really make a difference.

• Maurice (10/5): - Die beiden Eigentümer sind ein unglaublich herzliches und hilfsbereites Paar. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir leider unsere Rucksäcke im Bus verloren – nur durch ihren unermüdlichen Einsatz konnten wir sie wiederbekommen. Sie wollten dafür nicht einmal ein Trinkgeld annehmen, sondern haben uns einfach aus reiner Freundlichkeit geholfen. Die Unterkunft bietet einen traumhaften Blick über die Stadt. Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Jeden Morgen wurde uns frischer Espresso oder Cappuccino zubereitet – so viel wir wollten. Die Atmosphäre war warm, familiär und einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Wir haben uns rundum willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

• McMahon (9/5): - Palazzo sassi was lovely. Great location. Less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. It was very clean also. The parking was down the street and just a note that the streets to get in and out of parking were very narrow so keep in mind if hiring a big car. I would definitely book again. Saveria was very sweet also. Would be good to have a lift for guests as the stairs are a bit steep and my sister is special needs so it was a bit difficult on the stairs.

Al nostro arrivo siamo state accolte dalla proprietaria, una persona estremamente gentile e disponibile, che ci ha accompagnato nella nostra stanza. La camera era ordinata e ben organizzata; tuttavia, abbiamo riscontrato la presenza di un numero piuttosto elevato di formiche sia all’interno che all’esterno dell’appartamento. Nonostante questo inconveniente, il nostro soggiorno è stato comunque molto piacevole, grazie anche alla cortesia e all’attenzione del personale, che si è sempre dimostrato pronto ad aiutare. Nel complesso, un’esperienza positiva, con un piccolo aspetto migliorabile per rendere la permanenza ancora più confortevole.

Pokoje czyściutkie przestronne , wygodne łóżka , blisko do plaży i pysznej pizzeri tico tico. Blisko Sorento ska d można wybrać się do min Pisitani Amalii , Capri itd. Polecam serdecznie .

Lo staff è stato eccellente - La prima stanza che ci è stata assegnata era in mansarda ed è stata un’esperienza negativa: puzzava di chiuso, c’erano formiche sul letto, il bagno era molto trascurato, pieno di calcare, e la doccia da rifare completamente. In più, la disposizione della stanza era molto scomoda, con gradini messi in modo casuale, che rendevano difficile muoversi. Sconsiglio assolutamente la sistemazione in mansarda. La prima stanza assegnata era in mansarda ed è stata davvero deludente: • Puzzava di chiuso, • C’erano formiche sul letto, • Il bagno era trascurato, pieno di calcare, • La doccia era vecchia e da rifare, • La stanza aveva una disposizione scomoda, con gradini posizionati male che rendevano difficile muoversi. Sconsiglio vivamente la sistemazione in mansarda. Un po’ più di manutenzione e cura degli spazi migliorerebbe di molto l’esperienza complessiva.

• Sofia (10/5): Perfect stay in Meta - We had a lovely time here. The location in Meta is lovely, it’s around 13 min walk from meta station and about a 5 min walk to the beach. Only 2 stops from sorrento so really easy to head there whether in the evening or for the day. The hosts were so nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

• Mergime (10/5): Vi vill tillbaka! - Jag bodde nyligen på ett boende i Meta, Italien, och är mycket nöjd med hela vistelsen. Rummen var bekväma och välskötta, och läget var perfekt – nära både stranden och andra bekvämligheter. Personalen var exceptionellt hjälpsam och tillmötesgående, särskilt med tanke på att vi reste med två barn. De gjorde verkligen sitt yttersta för att vi skulle få en så bekväm och smidig vistelse som möjligt. Ett extra plus vill jag ge för den fantastiska cappuccinon som serverades – utan tvekan bland de bästa vi druckit! Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta boende till andra som söker ett trevligt och familjevänligt alternativ i området.

• David (8/5): Palazzo Sassi is a unique hotel with beautiful rooms and friendly staff. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not too far from a nice beach... although there are lots of steps to go up and down. The room was right next to a road that had a lot of traffic, particularly motorcycles, through the night.

Įėjus patalpose jaučiasi pelėsio kvapas, užėjus į kambarį kuris buvo "superrior" smirdėjo kanalizacija. Liftas, kuris skirtas lagaminams buvo užrakintas ir teko juos nežtis laiptais į ketvirtą aukštą. Pusryčiai, tik kava ir batonai.
• Simon (9/5): 3 night stay for short break around Pompei, Herculaneum and Sorrento! - Great located property in Meta! Beautiful features in the building, and parking nearby……….which is essential!!! Saveria and Francesco were very helpful on arrival, and made us feel as though we should stay longer!!! Nothing, but if you have an allergy to stairs, this may not be the place for you! There is a lift for luggage, but not people!

They’ll make sure you have a great vacation and will give you the best tips -The breakfast area is cozy and the food options good enough to start the day -We got an upgrade and have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee in the private balcony with good view of the sunset -There are not elevators to go to the rooms -We booked the room via Booking and it wasn’t the same option/pictures that we saw on the website Be sure to book the right choice! In the end we got an upgrade and the room was really good -The hotel is not in Sorrento downtown area; it’s located in “Meta”, which is about a 15 minute distance from Sorrento by train after you get to the Meta station. -The hot water wasn’t working one of the days -This is Italy, expect to go up and down a lot of stairs

• Nathan (10/5): Fantastic hosts in Meta Sorrento! - A beautiful property in a very good location in Meta. The hotel has very good transport links via bus to both the Meta station and to Sorrento proper via bus and train. Meta itself is underrated, the beach there and Tico Tico restaurant are wonderful. The hosts at Palazzo Sassi are fantastic, and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was nice, spacious, and very well furnished. With a lovely little balcony and street view. Breakfast was of the typical Italian style - Colazione dolce (sweet breakfast) - and was very enjoyable. Coffee was also very nice. NA

• Hannah (3/5): Would not recommend staying here! - The room was spacious with a small balcony for 2 people. It was dark at night and had air conditioning. Breakfast included in stay. 1. We were extremely disappointed with our stay due to a serious issue with the shower in our room — it had NO hot water throughout our entire three-night stay. We were only able to shower once in our own room and had to use two different rooms just to get hot water. Shockingly, the staff even suggested we use showers in occupied rooms when other guests were out, which was completely unacceptable. This is clearly a long-standing problem, as we later saw it mentioned in past reviews, yet the staff still had no explanation and provided no real solution. They repeatedly claimed the issue was fixed, but each time they left, the shower remained freezing cold. Meanwhile, the showers in other rooms were boiling hot, and the staff clearly did not know how to operate them properly. This happened every morning, leaving us stuck in the room for hours, disrupting our plans and negatively impacting our holiday. The staff’s handling of the situation was highly unprofessional, and we are extremely unhappy with how it was dealt with. 2. The towels were dirty upon arrival. 3. The TV did not work at all. 4. It was expensive for the lack of working facilities. 5. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. 6. Our room was not cleaned once - it was offered on the first morning which we turned down as the facilities had not been used. We were told by staff that a cleaner would come the following day, but this never happened. 7. The walls were extremely thin - we could hear continuous coughing throughout the stay, in addition to alarms and phones from other rooms. 8. There was mould in several rooms. 9. This is not a hotel and we would not recommend staying here!!!
