Guest Reviews
- Caulfield (10/5): Accommodation has absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable - Accommodation has absolutely everything you need to make your stay comfortable, great locations near shops and restaurants
- Estienne Jurgens (10/5): -
- Karen (6/5): Beautiful view but noisy - The unit was clean, comfortable and has a beautiful view of the mountain. The security staff are very friendly and the night guard even remembered us visiting a year ago. The location of the block of flats is good, close to UCT and shops. The unit faces the main road overlooking the checkers centre so the noise is awful at night. You have to keep the windows closed to try get some sleep. Although earplugs are provided next to the beds it's uncomfortable to use these while you sleep.
- Veronica (9/5): The Rondebosch never disappoints. -
- Richard (9/5): -

- Sam (10/5): - The unit is value for money! The view is beautiful, and shops are in walking distance. No issues collecting keys, room was clean and comfortable, overall fantastic. nothing
- Chothia (6/5): Reasonable - Location is convenient Was under rhe impression that it was a seperate bedroom and lounge and not an all in one layout.
The furniture in the lounge is also very uncomfortable
- Lee (10/5): It was great except hosts are a little unhelpful - Facilities were excellent. The only thing was the booking.com app messenger was not working g and host seemed to be unhappy about comms on WhatsApp seemed like I was putting them out
- Rhona Badenhorst (9/5): - The unit was very comfortable and close to shops and various tourist attractions. It was clean and had everything needed for a few days stay. Secure parking was a definite plus for us
- Luciano (10/5): Quiet and clean apartment. - It is very clean Everything was just fine
- Chaza (6/5): Ok - Great location Dirty, even the bin has black mould on it. Had issues with using the lock box, the owner was rude about the whole situation because she thought we were not using it correctly only to later find out that she gave us the wrong code for the lock box. On the day of the check out, she was at our door at 10:00 to collect her keys. Such poor customer service received. No cleaning supplies were provided. Food left in cupboards was dirty and filled with fly feaces
- Kourts (9/5): Gorgeous view and comfy space. I enjoyed it all!! - I enjoyed my stay! It was relaxing and I felt very safe and like I was home.
- Fabienne (9/5): - Spacious, beautiful view, comfortable beds. Nice to have the complementary coffee, sugar and milk if needed and salt! No noise at night, despite being in a big building. Easy check-in Needs a coat of paint in some places, block out on the kitchen window
A small dining table and a couple of dining chairs would make it more practical for eating in
- patsy (8/5): -
- Sakina (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing views, clean flat and secure location.
- Aiden (1/5): I was scammed out of everything I own, physically harassed and pushed onto the streets, left to die. - Everything except when I realised it was all just a trap. I was scammed out of absolutely everything I own, and physically harassed and pushed onto the street where I was left to die.

- Karim (8/5): It was good. If I want to go to this part of Cape Town again, I would like to stay at The Rondebosch - Excellent location, close to grocery shops, pharmacy and such. Fairly noisy neighbourhood, but ok at night. Safe and secure block of flats, and the neighbourhood is safe to walk around, at least during daylight hours. The constant hum of the machinery at the neighbouring shopping centre was tiresome, but at night it quietened down considerably. Same with traffic noise coming from the main road, especially at rush hours.
- Sami-jo (10/5): The hosts communicate well. The apartment was super clean. -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Nice location near university of Cape Town. 15-20 minute drive to airport. Great view from balcony.
- Livia (7/5): Good - Flat was very clean, cozy and practical, stunning view onto the table mountain Parking was small and against the wall, difficult for a bigger car.
- Dr (9/5): Superb -
- Imanimi (8/5): A pleasant stay with breathtaking views, would stay here again. - Breathtaking views, Abundant amenities, neat apartment, and situated in a good location in realtion to the activities I planned. More accessible entry for guests to the building and parking was abit tricky with a bigger car.
- Winnie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good -
- Winnie (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- George (2/5): Demented ! - SECURITY was Friendly! Everything inside that room!!!!!!
Unkempt Retirement Village!
Demented and lifeless beds
As for the cushions….it was the first item I had to put aside in the corner of the sitting area.
Wasted business opportunity….
- Ruth (5/5): Passable - The curtain and bedding need a bit of TLC they look very old and towels could be a bit bigger
- Sentebaleng (9/5): Excellent hospitality - Space, view, quietness and proximity Parking bays very narrow
- Karin (8/5): Very good - The staff @ reception were friendly & helpful. Apartment was clean with great wifi. Great central location & beautiful mountain views. The beds/pillows
- Lee-anne (8/5): Pleasant enough! - A more secure ironing board
- Nigel (5/5): Passable - The area is extremely noisy and the unit is directly above the Checkers 60/60 parking area. There was intrusive building work being carried out on the building during the day.
- Qulu (10/5): Exceptional - It was nice in all aspects Location and its safetyness
- Selvan (8/5): Great location , value for money, beds could do with an upgrade, otherwise will definitely go back. - great location beautiful view of the mountain , good size unit - spacious and comfortable, great value for money. Beds need an upgrade, can feel springs in certain places , bed support not strong in some places , sadly not the best sleep.
- Opperman (8/5): Wonderful and I would not hesitate to book here again. - The apartment was amazing. It had everything we needed. The shower worked well, Netflix was a bonus and we felt safe. As a mom I came down to spend time with my daughter at UCT and together we could spend some special time together in the apartment. She was able to study and do assignments in the apartment too. One thing that needs improvement are the mattresses, the pillows and the bedding. With that improvement, my experience would be exceptional!
- Nazeem (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Libby (8/5): Really enjoyed my stay there and would stay again and recommend to others. - Nice space, clean and convenient. Bathroom towels are WAY too small.
- Louis (8/5): Very good - Very good, clean, quiet and well organized! Thank you very much !
- Nikhil (8/5): Excellent - Great location and very secure. Very close to shopping mall and food stalls.
Flat is spacious and well equipped. No complaints
- Isabelle (8/5): Safe, comfy and spacious - The accommodation is in a great location: central and safe and close to shops and restaurants. Check-in was easy and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. I especially liked the desk with the view of devil’s peak.
- Brian (10/5): A great stay, no problems. - The location was perfect as I wanted to be near the University of Cape Town (UCT). The view from the balcony of Devil's Peak and UCT was lovely.
- Fulufhelo (5/5): Overall it was a good stay despite all the issues I disliked. - The location is what I liked the most. Very conveniet, easy access to a shopping center, university of Cape Town shuttle service and public transport I did not like that the pillows were extremely dirty including the duvet inner (though not as dirty like the pillows). I think the ownwers should consider changing these items. The pillows are really not in a good condition. The fridge drips water in the bottom, when you wake-up in the morning you find water on the floor. The unit had a washing machine and when you use it, the water drains to the floor. I think they should fix this. The TV was also always not connecting to the wi-fi and most of the time we could not watch it without it freezing.
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Was good value for money, great location and security The towels were old and stained. An upgrade on these are recommended
- Kevin (8/5): Very good - Safety , good area Wifi can be improved, too much buffing.
Bed comfort should be improved.
- Jayden (10/5): I’ll be staying here again on my next trip, location was absolute prime - Location to everything was extremely convenient The curtains and some other things internally could be a little bit improved but I understand for what I paid it was good
- Pamela (4/5): Hosts were incredibly rude, and I felt unsafe walking around during the day around at this location. - The property was good - kitchen facilities enough to buy takeaway but not to cook. Hosts were incredibly rude, I felt unsafe walking around during the day around at this location.
- Bafedile (8/5): I enjoyed my stay at the apartment. It was peaceful and the apartment was neat and clean. -
- Sylvia (10/5): Exceptional - I like everything about the property. Safety, cleanliness, quiet area with shopping mall nearby.Friendly security guards. Nothing
- Pieter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pat (8/5): Very good -
- Kathrada (9/5): Superb - Location and price was excellent.
Great value for money
- Dave (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (3/5): The location was great for us but that is all, everything else second rate, do not recommend. - The location The unit is very run down, the carpet in the lounge area is filthy. The bathroom needs painting. The unit is well equipped but most things are very old and need replacement.
- Sthembiso (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liisa (9/5): Superb -
- Charity (10/5): The Best Host and Stunning Apartment - The Greatest Host ever!!! Jani, you are the Absolute Best!! The apartment was Stunning. It had everything I needed. Very welcoming. The area had water interruptions and Jani kept me informed and offered alternative assistance. I absolutely loved staying at the apartment!! Leaving🤣🤣😂🤣
I could stay there for longer.... 😂
- Lance (9/5): Superb - Central and safe.
- Alison (10/5): Perfect - It really didn't make much difference as the place was fantastic, a hospitality DSTV bouquet would have been great. Its not very expensive and would mean we could have watched the sport and news.
- Penelope (8/5): All in all just what we needed. suited us perfectly . thank you - Location and convenience was great the rug in the living area needs a clean
- Mark (8/5): Excellent location, quiet and peaceful - The host was easily accessible and really kind. We loved the location as it is in the heart of Rondebosch but also very quiet. The apartment is a typical small studio and excellent for our short stay. The living room bamboo couch and chair is not the most comfortable for a couple. It is good for a single or for young students. If that could be changed it would help. Also you will need to give directions for movement from the apartment when there is loadshedding. I was locked outside in the parking lot and even the security was not sure how to get back up to the apart because the lift was not working and all external doors to the building was locked. I was lucky that someone left the building so that I coul access the emergency door.
- Rambharos (9/5): Superb -
- Vythilingam (9/5): Superb - The host, Jani was very responsive and considerate to my request. The house itself was very comfortable, not to mention a good location for restaurants and ubers. Highly recommend!
- Amkhitha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Safwaan (8/5): Great apartment with the need of a few upgrades - Location, view, spacious apartment, efficient check in and check out. Excellent communication 👏 Beds definitely require a change. They were extremely old and uncomfortable. Springs of the bed could be felt through the mattress.
Towels had a bad odour and felt dirty
Pillows were bad quality
- Nicola (7/5): Good - Central, clean, convenient and secure The bathroom needed new towels and some personalisation.
- Brendon (9/5): Superb -
- Johannes (8/5): Very good -
- Ronnie (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvester (9/5): Superb -
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nel (9/5): Superb - Great location, very clean apartment, friendly and helpfull doorman. Secure parking, very good value for money
- Linda (8/5): Very enjoyable - Loadshedding but that is not in control of hosts.
- Tyroline (10/5): my stay was short but nice - the place is nice & cosy i wish i stayed longer. the owner just need to change the beds, its only 2 single beds and not ideal for a couple.
- Lisa (8/5): Lovely for a weekend stay, location is excellent. -
- Van (8/5): Very good -

- Gillian (9/5): A lovely clean apartment that comes with a spectacular view. - The quiet, the comfortable apartment, tastefully furnished. Separations of bedroom from lounge. Friendliness and welcoming from desk staff. The view!! We had an excellent time at the Rondebosch Brightness in the apartment at night. We like to sleep in the dark. Twin beds rather than a double bed.
- Phumla (8/5): Very good - The place itself was cozy and secure. NA
