Our room was cleaned everyday. We were a very short distance to the beach! It was incredible. Only issue was a man snored so loud, I think he kept a few of us up half the night . Lol I would recommend to friends and family! I forgot to leave a tip but will make up for it next year! Thank for a really great place to stay and safe. Until next time. Laura

- Kristen (10/5): Best location in OOB - The location was ideal. Just steps away from the beach. The employees were all super helpful and accommodating. The housekeeping staff was amazing and provided daily visits to switch out towels and take out trash. Would highly recommend. The only inconvenience we experienced was having to park our cars across the street in very tight spaces.

- Michelle (6/5): - It's a motel on the beach side of OOB. There are many others like it that I've stayed at. This place is OK - had a room for 3 with double and 2 twins. No couch - we had to sit on double bed to watch tv. Parking for 1 car only - real pain if you have 2 cars for overnight parking. Not any options! Had to beg for a spot but they did get me one thankfully. Liked the shared patio with table - pool is small - no beach view.

- Nathan (8/5): - Let me first qualify that I am partially disabled and further that I made no inquiries or formal requests regarding the accessibility of the unit. On day one of five, another guest was parked in our reserved space not in the primary lot immediately located at the bottom of the stairs. but rather across the Main Street behind another building. On the first days, the caring staff allowed us to park in another space in the main lot. This was greatly appreciated. So, we felt welcome and. like the staff went out of their way to assist us and make sure we were as comfortable as possible. If I had the trip to do again, I am confident that the staff would have done everything they could to put us in a first floor room with an assigned space in the main lot. So while I feel it could have been slightly more convenient, I accept full responsibility

- Sokdavorn (8/5): Great location! - It was the perfect location for our 4th of July vacay. The beds were comfortable and clean. The kitchen and bathroom were on the small side but it served its purpose. Our room had AC but we only used at bedtime as we liked the fresh ocean air during the day. The motel is conveniently located on the beach (2 properties backed) with easy access. Each room had its own parking spot which is a plus! The only downside is the train track which does get a bit load when one is passing through. It’s all along OOB and is unavoidable unless you stay in one of those high rise apartment buildings. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and we would definitely book this place again!

- LINDA (10/5): - Although out dated, but what motel isn’t, it was really nice inside. Our rooms were clean, well maintained, AC worked well, beds were comfy. Access to the beach was about a min walk, they provide toys and beach chairs to borrow. The walk to the boardwalk is about 10/15 mins. We would def stay there again.

Had a few questions and Whitney the owner was very helpful! Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable place to stay!!

The kids loved the nice clean private pool. Located right next to the beach. Close to everything OOB has to offer. Owners were friendly charming people. A great deal for a great vintage renovated motel by the beach experience!
- james (8/5): - Great location to the beach and about half mile to the amusements. If you’re a lite sleeper be aware that the train from Portland to Boston is only a few blocks away. There is a road crossing maybe a half mile or so away that they have to use the horn for.

- Shane (8/5): Solo Beach Stay - Close to the beach, quiet and simple for a great off season stay. Would be nice to walk to places if they were open, but it seems everything closes down right around Labor Day. For the price, you can’t complain. Personal parking spot, 1 minute walk to the beach and had plenty of amenities. Would definitely plan to cook some mornings for breakfast and make myself coffee the next time I stayed here rather than venture out for those things. Close to Portland and Biddeford, plenty of great beer and food around!
- Rosemarie (2/5): - Upon entering that carpet was old, dirty and stiff. They had a futon that was old and decrepit. The kitchen facilities were very small. The stove was covered with the dirty aluminum foil. The sink in the kitchen kept plugging up. The bathroom was big enough for a toddler, the shower was so small you couldn’t turn around the toilet was so close to the sink. It was hard to stand up. The pool was so small. It was big enough to hold five people at one time. The pictures online were extremely deceiving and I will never go through Expedia again. This whole vacation was absolutely useless after what I paid for the room at night I was so disappointed. We actually ended up leaving a day earlier, so so disappointed

- Cassandra L (8/5): Great location, but paper thin walls - This hotel is located right by the beach and near the pier, which is convenient. They offer a parking spot dedicated to your room, which is awesome. The biggest complaint we have is how thin the walls and ceiling are. We were woken up at all hours by our upstairs and side neighbors, even though we slept with a fan and AC on. I can't blame the motel for inconsiderate guests, but it wouldn't have been an issue if the walls were thicker.

- John (10/5): Great start to our vacation - Very accommodating hotel. Office was closed when we arrived and they had called us to let us know room was open and we could check in later. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Everything about the place was just right would definitely stay here again and recommend
- Scott (6/5): - The motel was well kept , my only gripe is the bathroom was the size of a broom closet, i will not be staying here again for that reason in itself, second the management was never in the office and the shared space was in front of my room and was claimed everyday by a family that staus there every summer and thinks that is theirs would of been nice to bring back food one night and eat it outside in the nice weather and not have toys and other peoples stuff all over like its their house. But if ypu are looking for a clean place and are under 160 lbs 5 foot 3 its a nice place

- Monica (10/5): One Night Stay - One night stay with 1 adult 3 teens. The room was very clean and comfortable. Less than a minute walk to the beach. Good location, close enough to walk to the pier, about 10 mins, but far enough away from all the noise that goes on all night. Great stay.

- Daniel (10/5): - Local, Family owned business. Sam was super nice and accommodating. We forgot our beach towels and he grabbed a pair from home to loan us. Unreal… Can’t make this up! Thank you Sam. While the bathroom was snug, the actual room and kitchen are perfect. And most importantly: CLEAN. The rooms worked for us as the focus of our trip was Portland. We drove into the city for brunch, did some sightseeing and came back to recharge at the beach, then went back to Portland for a late dinner. If you’re visiting and plan to be on the move and want the best of both worlds, this place is perfect. So much so, my experience at Echo has redefined ‘Motel’. Amenities: Less then a 1 min walk from the beach (about 30 yards). Kid friendly. Heated pool. Reserved parking. Kitchenette (includes utensils). Walking distance from Old Orchard Pier (7 min walk). Downtown Portland (25 min drive). Portland Head Light (30 min drive). Will be returning later this summer to celebrate my Daughters 5th birthday!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice receptionist, but otherwise disappointed - Pros: desk/check in very nice people and easy to checkin and checkout; access to end of street then path to beach (about 50 yards total) Cons: wifi in room #2 very bad, literally had to walk to window for reception; walls very thin - could hear people talking and snoring; zero view from any window - all translucent windows; not beachfront, not beach view, but beach access (~ 50 yards); very cramped, tiny bathroom; no peep hole in front door (and can’t look out translucent windows).
- Nancy (10/5): Wonderful Stay in May - Our 7-day stay at the Echo Motel was wonderful! Julie & Sam were wonderful hosts and constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was lovely - newly renovated and super clean. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the little kitchen which made our stay so convenient. The beach is just steps away which we thoroughly enjoyed. We took some road trips to Portland, Freeport, and Kennebunkport as we were so centrally placed to visit them. We will be back!

The hotel is literally a two minute walk from the beach and only about a ten minute walk from the boardwalk. We also had kids so a group of adults might be able to make the walk to the boardwalk a little quicker lol. The owners were very friendly. Our room was clean and spacious enough for our family of five. The kitchenette was a great bonus and the beds were comfortable. Absolutely would return here

- Shawn (8/5): - The owners / staff was great and the rooms were very tidy and clean. We were in the Old Orchard Beach area for a wedding and the Echo met our needs for the stay well. It was an extremely short walk to the beach which was a nice bonus since it allowed us a little bit of beach time during a busy weekend when we otherwise would not have had time. Parking was tight but we did have a dedicated space and the staff found a spot for my daughter for a few hours. It would have been nice to have larger beds and while very clean, the room was somewhat dated. I would recommend it for the cleanliness, high level of service and proximity to the beach.

- Adam (8/5): Would stay again - Right on the beach, close to pier but far enough to be quiet at night. Room a bit tight but manageable. Very nice staff.
- Matthew (10/5): - We had a great time staying at the Echo. The location was amazing - literally steps to the beach and a short walk to the pier. The room was clean. The owners were great - they made recommendations for where to eat and they gave our 2 year old daughter a beautiful seashell which made her day. The only very minor thing was that the wifi didn't really work in the room; you had to step outside to use it but we knew that going in based on other reviews. We would definitely stay again.

But not soon enough! - We travel to Maine from Illinois every August for the last 18 years & have always been trying to find the perfect place to spend Friday night before heading to our cabin on Saturday. This is it! What an amazing location right by the oven with a fun town. If you stay visit The Shack for dinner, 1/2 mile (nice walk) away & awesome food! We will be back!
- Adam (8/5): Clean rooms, clean pool, on the beach, kitchenette - Great location, clean room, plenty of space, kitchenette well stocked with supplies, heated pool was kept clean and enjoyable, right on the beach, parking lot is tight, wifi service was offered but didn't reach rooms most people were connecting from the patio area, would stay again.
- Gregory (10/5): Nice place - Rooms were neat and clean, staff are friendly, walk out the door and onto to the beach, what could be better than that.
